Precisely. Truth be told, I think Old Freddy wasn't even a low tier killer to begin with, if played right. But, despite his weaknesses, he was extremely fun. And that is what matters the most.
I think he only needed 2 buffs: patch 1.8.1 reverted and the modern-day Incapacitated status effect or something similar to it during the Transition. Dream Projection is a fun and interesting mechanic but he could have lived without it if necessary.
That was all he needed. Never a full rework.
An incapacitated effect for the sleep transition would be perfect!
Maybe some fun gimmicks as well just to mix it up a bit. I thought snares and pallets were fun

You're like this old man I know. He accepts donations to this Parrot Rescue Organization that he works at and it's a non profit company. He does this to keep two African Greys there at the shelter. And he just likes the extra money. But the literal purpose of this Parrot Rescue is to rehome them away from the Rescue. He is literally defeating the purpose of what the company is supposed to be doing. It actually goes against the mission statement.
How does this pertain to you? You are hoarding something that is meant to be shared with other players. This also benefits you as not only are you helping others maximize their endless hunt for BP but your own.
And tell you what. You really like rare items that everyone and their mom has? Okay than just keep one for yourself and use the rest lol.
You're comparing me, a guy who likes to save rare items that won't return in a game, to a man who abuses/violates a company's policy?
Okay. Sure.

Even after his nerf, I believe he still is an A Tier killer, he is just in the bottom of said Tier now.
However, that is definitely not the issue. The problem, as most people here have pointed out, is that he is just a boring and uninteresting killer who lost almost everything that made him fun and unique, with the sole exception being Dream Projection because that is a nice addition.
Freddy desperately needs a change, specifically his on-release power (which is not exactly the same "Old Freddy" that most people know) back with a few improvements. Keeping this new and boring version of him is not only unhealthy for the game, but also extremely unfair to Old Freddy mains out there.
I like how threads like this one create awareness for his problems, and I sincerely hope the devs will eventually listen.
Thank you for creating this thread. And perhaps one day, we will get our killer back.

Thank you so much, my dear friend. This is heartwarming to read <3
Gonna be completely honest. I don't care if he even was bottom tier, he was a lot fun to play against him. He just needed a buff and maybe some spice. That's all

They're a limited item. So. Yes.
I love collecting genuinely rare items in games I love to play.

The teleport is honestly my favourite part of his kit. His traps are just boring though
I mean, yeah. But, that's it. Old Freddy had no indicator that you were going against him until you fell asleep.
One time I sat still with insidious on top of the hatch, they didn't see me because they were awake and when they were about to escape, I closed it in front of them.
Their prospective was the hatch closing itself and music just started blaring right in their ears as they started to fall asleep.

I all fairness, i usually use cakes (if i have them) but the bloodweb is terrible in that regard.
That's fine, I'm just sending a meme before I get back to work
-
Just boring. It's just a M1 killer with an objective teleport. Think Nurse, but not as fun or engaging.
The pallets are really the only fun thing I like about him

Exactly anyone who thinks saving them might actually be disappointed. What happens is everyone saves them and just uses them at random times throughout the year. So again you will see 1 per match. You maximize every match with 5 cakes during the event because everyone's using and getting them.
Now those on console your situation might be different. I can understand why console players would. But no offense console players I don't want your problems right now lol xD
All PC players... I would suggest turning off cross platform play so you only get PC players. SO if PC players are hoarding their cakes shame on them.
Collector's items, that's why.

Wasn´t 4 cakes anyway. Only 3 and a Haddonfield offering. So i wasn´t really feeling guilty.
So you're saying this was you when you saw the offering?
I'm kidding, I saw the opportunity to send it again and I'm taking it
-
I'm so stupid. I sat here for fifteen minutes thinking what "MAN" was.
"Is it a hex? It'd be easier remembering the killers who have hexes"
THEN I REALIZED IT WASN'T A PERK AND I'M ANNOYED AT MYSELF.
GOOD DAY SIR/MADAME

Just let me equip the same perk over and over again.

With things like this, questions start to come up.
Like how would Coxcombed Clapper + Bone Clapper work?
Right now when you use both, one takes priority.
But this is about having everything active, so i guess you could say instead of "widespread" or "silenced", it's now "widespread silence", but Coxcombed Clapper is that anyway.
He'd also have "The Beast" - Soot so, unavoidably, Terror Radius Perks actually work on him, but R.I.P. cloaked stealth.
Sloppy Butcher / "Blind Warrior" - White is made obsolete by "Blind Warrior" - White / Sloppy Butcher.
Hex: The Third Seal has a nice back-up in the form of "Blind Warrior" - Mud i guess.
I don't like Play With Your Food taking up a slot, but if it's on by standard then HELLO EASY TOKENS!
Pallets would also be DOOMED on this guy, you'd absolutely want to eat the stun (Enduring + Spirit Fury), quickly recloak ("Blink" - White + "Blink" - Mud), kick it after the drop ("Shadow Dance" - Blood + "Shadow Dance" - White + Brutal Strength + Fire Up) and WHOOSH forward. ("The Serpent" - Soot)
And you'd have Nemesis + Play With Your Food, so cloaking after the drop grants you a free Token.
Look idk how powerful Survivors would be, mkay? I'm just looking from my ringing man's perspective right now.
MAP WIDE SILENCE
That's what the wax comb clapper and the comb clapper would do

I would stop entertaining these grouches at this point. Very simple counter to the perk. But they want it easier. I lost to plenty of myers, and ghostfaces regardless. So it's not like it's impossible to beat people who use the perk.
I just don't want an easy omni perk, that's all. It drowns out another anti stealth perk. I don't want Premonition to be super buffed to be another spine chill. That's all
-
I still find satisfaction for stealing the killer's hearing with flash bang haha

What would be the point in running Spine Chill if stealth killers were immune to it? I can tell when any other killer is headed towards me because the Terror Radius is getting louder.
Use premonition, that's why I truly dislike Spine Chill. It's just an omni perk that has three perks jammed into one perk slot
-
Sonzaihinai already mentioned it, but Dark Devotion is ridiculous on Ghost Face. I'm one the of the few gfs that don't use addons to recharge his ability faster, I love having extra stalk progression when I'm not leaning because some maps suck when it comes to leaning. Also his perfume and cologne addons are also pretty nutty.
Anytime I stalk someone they run away and refuse to do anything but hide....
Soo..... what if I made them wait a really long time?
I'm getting off topic, Dark Devotion is great for just having no terror radius and that's why I'm thinking that's why Furtitve chase is a perk

No problem. But my point remains - flashlights don't help you spot traps. And as they have a very limited use in terms of the number of seconds you get light, you also can't use them to consistently sweep an area. Thus the reason I don't consider them a true counter.
Very true, sometimes I like to quick click to see if I can find the exact location to see if I can estimate the safe position so I don't have to crouch all the time....
I wonder if flashbang can destroy traps

.... which is why I explicitly said in the first sentence of my comment "I will argue that fliashlights are not a sufficient counter to Hag, because they do not help you spot traps."
Sorry, I had a mental typo, I'm on break in my meeting and I just spaced out.
I meant to type "grant it, you'd need a general location of where the trap was placed in order for you to get this benefit" I just woke up, sorry.

I will argue that fliashlights are not a sufficient counter to Hag, because they do not help you spot traps. Yes, if you see them, you can choose to spend seconds burning them away - but flashlights also have very limited use, which is another reason I don't consider them a true counter (to either Hag or Wraith).
When you shine your light near one they have an aura that becomes visible.
Grant it you have to see it first.

The Lore Accurate Scream Movie Ghostface Build would probably follow "The Rules" of a slasher film.
Dying Light so the Obsession will be THE Obsession.
Save The Best for Last to build up to the climax and get rid of the supporting cast.
Lethal Pursuer because you need to be one step ahead from the very start.
Any endgame perk (No Way Out, Bloodwarden, NOED, *Rancor see below) to make the finale special, if they escape they escape but you need to try to create suspense.
*Rancor optional if you plan on playing as a sequel because not even the obsession is safe in the sequel and you need a better end than the last movie.
Damn, you hit the nail on the head haha.

Play with your food
Fire Up
Bamboozle
And Save the best for last

The only thing Spine Chill counters is Myers. every other stealth killer in DbD can just look to the side, or in the case of Ghostface only stalk while leaning.

There will always be weaker and stronger perks. And it's a tiny % not to mention so many survivors panic the second spinechill goes off. A slight buff to premonition sure, nurfing spinechill? Nope. I'd like other perks get buffed so the meta isn't so stale
I never seen a survivor panic when spine chill goes off.
They commit, but are aware of what you're planning so they'll be two steps ahead of you.
The.. tiny percentage is still a percentage that effects a ridiculous large margin for little to no effort.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2359962#Comment_2359962
All premonition needs is a slightly shorter cool down, and maybe reduced width. It's good at what it does, tells you the killers direction. If you hear a terror radius increase you know which way to run
Even then Spine Chill is a much more superior choice because of the other buffs they allow.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
Spinechill is a great perks, honestly helps alot at opening the exit gates as the last survivor.
I honestly think the perk is fine, the numbers aren't massively strong and it's meantto counter stealth but you can still play around it as killer and they dont know which direction you're coming from ai they can panic and run into you
Great perk tbh, often dropped because people seem to think you need the common meta to be good

I've been working on "So I've played (insert killer)" it hasn't picked up so I'm working on a new one called "What's your dream cosmetic" people just say what they like, I pick my favorites and I draw them. I'm on a backlog right now, but when I finish I'll be making a post and tagging everyone

@GeneralV said:
It wouldn't work right now, but if said mode was to be implemented my dream duo would be Old Freddy and a good Nurse.
Freddy could equip Class Photo and Paint Thinner and just run across the map putting everyone to sleep, while Nurse would be responsible for most of the chases and hooks.
Outside of a chase, survivors would have to deal with the Dream World's massive slowdown, which could be increased with some add-ons and perks. And when they did get into a chase, it would barely last sine it is against Nurse.
I would love to give this a try!
It's another art project I'm working on haha

Not exactly, Nemesis's zombies are also very inconsistent, yes you know where they are but his zombies can also do the chase animation to literally nothing, they also get stuck randomly still which forces you to literally babysit them and lose pressure
All I really need is a hint, I don't need them to chase, but if they do, hell. That's a nice added bonus. I never had a zombie do it randomly however, I've had people quick and quiet them with Lithe, but not once have I ever had them just chase for no reason

Fair enough. That doesn’t change the fact that an additional killer will be profiting off of everytime Doc makes survivors scream, or when they’re in tier 3 madness.
Would be very OP for whoever that killer is.
Oh yeah, without a doubt.
No argument here. Personally I'd love for a 2v8, but the powers need to be nerfed severally or reworked from the ground up in order to prevent complications.
My dream duo is Ghost Face and Pig
-
I think Nemesis is pretty decent. Not being a 1v1, I guess he can be. But his sub power zombies also helps apply mini forms of pressure. Sure you can out run them, but now he knows where you're at
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Any killer paired with Doc would be an OP duo because Doc will always be able to constantly reveal survivors locations for the other killer. Imagine Doc with Blight or Nurse. Doesn’t sound fun.
I always imagined it followed a type of point system. Like a certain killer is worth the most points, and if they were selected any killers who had equal or near the same amount would be blocked off. Preventing you from selecting them. Like, if you selected Blight, Hillbilly, Spirit, Oni, and Nurse would be blocked off. Select Trapper and Freddy, Deathslinger, Legion, Clown, and Pig wouldn't be selected.
In addition of some killers having their power nerfed for the game mod. Like Pig's trap can't insta kill or the timer just shuts up if a different killer is within some range.
-
I by pass the lag by playing Ghost Face, his power isn't that taxing on the frame rate so I can actually have normal matches. Plus, I also really enjoy his power
