I hardly see Oni. It's Nemesis game after game. He's just annoying in genral. I'd take an Oni every match over him
-
I have almost the whole roster p3 lv 50. Just missing 4 killers (all at 50) and around 7 survivors. Ranging from 50 to p2 50. I gave up trying to finish them all to p3 for a few reasons. 1st the new prestige system goes to 100 and sucks. 2nd the reward is a joke.
-
Last time they reduced the grind players got legacy. This reduction is way bigger than that one and we get a charm? Or icon? That is a joke. Im 7 characters shy (half at p1 50) of having all characters maxed and this reward is pathetic for the effort
-
Tier 2 perks are tied to prestige 2 so it won't change to prestige 1 as listed above. You just get nothing at prestige 1 in that instance

I got around 200 hours in this game, and 30 of which is from playing survivor. It took me like.. maybe a DAY or a day and a half to go from Survivor Rank 20 to Rank 10. For 170 hours I've been playing killer, Legion, and i've barely gotten to rank 15. This game is MASSIVELY geared towards survivors. Heaven forbid I wanna even TRY a new killer, like Huntress, because I'll get royally curb stomped into the ground by a 4man who are all carrying flashbangs, blind me while im breaking a pallet, and use that perk that makes a gen blind you when you kick it. Liek I was a Lvl 1 Huntress, with 1 Perk. Like I didn't have a choice in picking better perks, I just wanted to try her out--and instead I just get this grueling task handed to me.
This game is easy on survivor, work on killer imo. I think I just need a break
Killer really isnt that hard. Your not always going to get a 4k and some matchs you will get stomped but a lot of matches you should be getting 2 to 3 kills

Everyone deserves more bloodpoints.
Than buff bloodpoints on both sides not just for killers. I would agree killers and solo q get a bloodpoints boost when with swf. But killer only? I wouldn't agree with

Let me make this perfectly clear. Survive With Friends is not going anywhere, that is fine. Survive With Friends gives Survivors a massive advantage, this is not debatable. A good coordinated team of Survivors who are competent at the game, making the right calls, looping properly, running meta perks like Decisive, Iron Will, Borrowed Time, Exhaustion Perks, etc are an absolute nightmare to go against for any Killer not named Nurse, and maybe Spirit/Blight.
Survivors communicating verbally in real time basically have most information perks readily available to themselves at all times. They have access to Kindred, Bond, Aftercare, and so many others that it's not surprising they can run meta perks with no issues at all. This could also be argued to buff Solo Survivors.
This isn't changing, we all understand that. BUT this game has 2 sides, Killer AND Survivor. It just so happens that Killer is forced to be alone on their side (except Twins haw haw haw). So this is something that CAN change.
Killer shouldn't see SWF in the pre game lobby because obviously a LOT of people would start dodging teams of rainbow colored Neas with Keys and Flashlights. But when the Killer loads INTO the match, they can be given a handicap. Bonus movement speed based on who joined together as a party, 2 Survivors gives 1% to 4 Survivors giving 4%. 2 and 2 would give 2%, 1 and 3 gives 3% naturally. This is just spit balling off the top of my head.
I'd take any bonus at all and frankly, the fact that Killer doesn't even get any Bloodpoints or even confirmation post game that it was SWF is just bad design.
SWF is never going away nor should it, but Killers are half your game like it or not. You need Killers AND Survivors to have a game, one side has a blatant advantage and the other side gets nothing. There should be a fair balance to compensate this.
Killers already get way more bloodpoints than survivors. We dont deserve any more bonuses period. With that said go ahead ill take free bloodpoints

You know that prestiging is optional right? You don't HAVE to P3 Level 50 everyone.
It was optional until i set out to do it. Being a completionist i can't quit prestiging now sadly

This means that some of the hex perks we have ignite under specific conditions.
As example: 3rd seal ignites a dull Totem for each surv you hit the first time so that each surv has their own Personal totem that makes them blind
Or huntress lullaby ignites a dull Totem every time you gain a token on it and as long as atleast one instance of huntress lullaby is still existing (5 token = 5 lit totems). Lullaby would then be harder to get rid of if you dont care about it early + it would be much more viable next to devour hope (since they have very similar activation conditions)
Since this idea would obliterate my hex totem builds ill pass on it. I like bringing in 4 hexes and this would prevent that

killer was fun at the beginning, now it's just a sweatfest, all the time. It's really so aggravating that The devs in this game are so ignorant to what goes on when you're a high ranking killer.
There's too many overpowered survivor perks compared to killer perks, Some killer perk benefits are so horrible it's laugh worthy, they make you work so hard for the tiniest reward when you look at it.
Maybe if they actually balance out the way killer plays and adjust the maps so every chase isnt a loopathon, and get rid of bloodlust, it's just not fun gameplay for what it's supposed to be. I'm tired of playing spirit or some other killer that's strong, they don't actually take a look at why theres a small list of killers viaable in high ranks, it's cuz most suck eggs compared.
Killer is never going to be fun with the mindset most killer mains have. Its meant to be stressful and hard work. The game is incredibly more balanced than ever before and it still is stressful to play killer. Why? Its 1v4 you want to take the game overly serious stress is the consequence

Like this is all genuinely true, I guess my big thing is I don't sink too long into my dbd sessions in the first place. I get off work late and play for two hours at the longest.
Say I play three survivor games, I have to queue for at least five minutes each cause matchmaking sucks. I get in the first game and start playing, killer hooks someone and kindred shows us all he face camps. Great, we all do gens since none of us have BT. Repeat until all four are dead because by the time theres two the other person is hiding while I play cat and mouse with the killer.
Next game say we get a decent killer that doesn't camp. Someone gets hooked and I go to save them cause I have Deliverance and wanna use it. I unhook and killer comes back, get caught in a dead zone, and hooked. My team mates leave me until second stage and unhook me after; killer hooks me again.
Third game say the killer is decent again. I decide to do gens in my lane and save if I am close, maybe they hook one or two people. Finally they find me and I actually run okay, maybe get a pallet stun. Eventually I get downed cause I am inexperienced and suddenly I am getting BM'd on the hook cause I tried to not die?
In all of these situations I have no clue what I have done wrong besides lose a single chase in a match, and I face the fullest consequences. Thirty minutes AT LEAST of my life is gone when I could have played my favorite killers for two games and probably would have felt better even if I choked. Low tier survivor is just so disgustingly trash ridden.
In the 2nd game you say you got an unhook for deliverance but your team let you go into struggle. Why didn't you deliverance?
-
Trickster surprisingly. Can usually clear a 3k minimum.
-
Not going to happen unfortunately. Would be cool but Sony would have to be ok with it on every platform

All she needs is some add on adjustments and some anti camping measures. @Michi has a great idea to fix her camping issue
True but I've read people saying her whole power should be reworked and i dont want that to happen. Her power is unique and fun
-
I got about 7 to p3 but most of the rest of the cast to p2 50
-
I only complain about one type of killer. The tunnel and camp at 5 gens killer. Other than that play how you like.
Some survivors just want easy mode same as some killers
-
Another day another dead hard complaint. ######### it! Nerf the damm perk so rank 20s can be happy lol
-
Just make him faster in all tiers. Speed is his #1 problem

imagine crying over a perk you can easily counter.

Now that the Trickster is buffed, playing survivor isn't fun anymore.
Yikes! Wraith is my favorite killer to play and to face. He's not even close to needing a nerf. Spine chill counters him from far away
-
I've faced several red rank tricksters who play him perfectly and dominate. I dont think he's as bad as everyone says its just few know how to play him at his best. Good thing he is getting buffed as everyone should have a fair chance to dominate as him but will that buff be enough? Who knows
-
Bloodpoints all the way. In the grind to get every character p3 lv 50 i have no other choice. Since the event started I've managed at least 6 prestiges ( cant play 24/7).

If you find yourself being tunneled than stay hidden and work accordingly. Killers often target the most altruistic players as its often the number one thing that can loose them the game. You could also play with one or 2 friends as well
Gotta disagree that altruism ruins killers games. In reality gen rush is killers biggest gripe and the altruistic player isn't doing gens so not ruining the killers chance to 4k
-
@SasukeKun said:
I think he needs a few tweaks to his add ons IMO, lemme tell you why,
with the size of maps like Haddonfield or Dead Dawg Saloon, The Swamp. It is much more threatening to have 3-4 total zombies roaming the map and make a part dangerous than having 2. Yeah, you get those 1/4 chances they are both at the right place at the right time but it lacks pressure, they are slow...super slow..and they get stuck in walls at a corner of a map... if you use addons it helps and they are faster, especially if you use a pink but idk you gotta be a bot imo to get hit by one unless you didn't see it.
Without add ons im almost positive you could use fixated to go around one. If not 4 total zombies then 3 default and then an addon to do something to the zombies an add a 4th spawn. It just makes more sense and their default detection range should be increased, sometimes i've watched some just stand there as someone ran right next to them. Maybe even be slighly faster by default too
If nemesis had even 1 extra zombie it would probably cause all console and low spec pc players to explode there systems. He might need it but this game cant handle it. Instead zombies should be programmed to be smarter
-
And killers are just camping and tunneling. Both sides are being ######### not just survivors

So comms being basekit despite being worth 20+ info perks is fine? Killers are not balanced around it and have no compensation for it.
I don't understand
20 perks my ass. Swf can be annoying but most swf are stupid ultra altruistic players. You want corrupt? Bring the perk its not that hard. There isnt a single perk in this game that should be basekit

if deadhard is a "wasted perk slot" and "doesn't work half the time" you haven't been against a 4 man that deadhards to every window/pallet. its the most frustrating sleeper thing to go against, but to each their own. not here to perk shame etc. you can't really believe it isnt busted af. that's crazy.
I've faced plenty of dead hard users in red ranks. Still get easy 2 or 3 kills if not all 4. Im sure for some killers like trapper for example that dh is hard to counter. But most of the killer roster shouldn't have too much problem against dead hard.

Dead hard for distance can't be "baited out"
Dead hard barely gives any distance and 99 percent of the time the user is going to get hit right after. As far as im concerned they can nerf it if they want because its useless in red ranks
-
On both roles i hate claudettes. When your survivor they are the worst teammates usually. When killer they try to be the most toxic. Claudettes suck
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
The thing with dead hard is that you do not have to "set it up" like lithe, smash hit or balanced landing and it doesn't require smart play via exhaustion management like sprint burst. It is available the moment you get injured and basically removes very big mistakes the survivor made in chase, which would have been their end.
TLDR: unlike other exhaustion perks it is ridiculously easy to use for an effect only overshadowed by sprint burst
Dead hard doesn't even work half the time and is incredibly easy to bait out on the killers end. I used to run it on my survivor but its definitely a wasted perk spot in red ranks

You're right.
When Survivors clicky-clicky-, or t-bag; I ignore them. Clearly, they are confident they can run me in a chase, and that's time I can't risk wasting.
Plus, 9 times out of 10, they will follow me around instead of doing gens. So I'm getting free pressure on gens!
People need to learn that something is not 'toxic' just because they THINK the player is doing it to be mean. This includes t-bagging, clicking flashlights, camping, or tunneling.
Sometimes it's the more effective tactic. And if we removed EVERYTHING that hurt someone's feelings; there would be no game to play.
Camping and tunneling are both extremely toxic. If survivors are swarming the hook camping can be excused but tunneling? ######### no. Its a pathetic strategy by ######### killers. I play both sides, both at red ranks. I never tunnel or camp and consistently get at least 2-3 kills.
Survivors being toxic is annoying but not game ruining like killers doing the same thing.
Regardless play how you want, just dont expect the toxicity in this game to go away
-
Nurse is fine as is, spirit i can give or take but survivors have been nerfed repeatedly for years. Killer has never been easier

Everyone who does something to annoy the other side does not deserve to play, no matter if they are survivors or killers.
Then everyone would be banned lolol.
-
I agree that would be amazing
-
When playing survivor, if you want good bloodpoints you have to do more than gens, who cares about surviving? Do totems, healing, chases with killer etc.
When killer, who cares if you get a 4k, you'll still get a good amount of points. Dont stress
-
I've almost gotten 2 full prestiges so far this event while not playing half the day, so its worth the bloodpoints for sure.
-
Im not leveling my survivors so i have none to use. Im working towards p3 on all killers as i have all but 2 survivors already there
-
@Mandy said:
Was there an actual killer in that match as well?
I'm trying to figure out what happened here.
(do you have a cat?)
There was a killer. It loaded me as the 4th survivor
-
To clarify i was survivor but i wasnt supposed to be lol
-
No to basekit thana. Unless base thana doesnt work on no mither. That perk sucks enough as is
-
It takes less than 30 seconds to cleanse a totem. The map spawns 5 totems in fairly easy to find spots. 4 survivors = noed shouldn't be a problem. If you keep running into noed then start cleansing totems. Get extra bloodpoints and noed is negated! I main survivor while playing a decent Amount of killer and noed is a non issue!
-
I spawned in front of one on Macmillan estate earlier. Felt so bad cleansing it. End of Match i checked his perks, it was his only one. Definitely needs better hiding spots
-
Yikes! I've never seen a skilled killer have problems with dead hard myself included. As survivor i don't even run the perk anymore because red rank killers make it useless.

I don't understand how people can say "Just take the DS". We would not make such a fuss about a perk if its consequences were not so heavy. Do you even realize how long a 5-second stun is in this game? It feels like 2 years! The survivor gets a huge lead on you, definitely makes it to a loop, and their teammates can plow through 1-2 additional gens at the least because you just gave up any pressure that you had.
I don't care if you say you've 4k'd after taking 4 DSs, because that simply means you're went against absolute bot survivors and would have won anyway.
Taking a DS earlier in the match does not lessen the pressure later either, because like I said, you give up all of your pressure when you get hit by DS. In many cases, that is what CAUSES you to do worse later because now you're at 1 gen and nobody is dead. You could tunnel that 1 person of course, but tunneling leads to ez gen rush. Or you can let that person go, basically getting stunned for nothing. You get trumped by DS no matter what you do!
Why do people say to take it early anyway? "Because you don't want to deal with it later in the game." If I'm forced to camp someone as the exits are powered, DS is not necessary for the hooked person to get out, even though it helps as an insurance perk. All they need is for their rescuers to have Borrowed and/or body block for them. They get out no matter what in that scenario, so you "got the DS out of the way" in the beginning for nothing. Another lose-lose scenario for killer!
You can also slug the person, but if they make to a locker they're invincible. And unless you're watching their body constantly for 1 minute, they will just get picked up and get away. If you do watch their body for a minute, gen rush happens. Another lose-lose, who could have guessed?
This "counterplay" is as ridiculous as the "solution" to Tombstone Meyers as a survivor. With DS, just take the stun and hope for the best. With Tombstone, you jump into a locker to avoid getting insta-moried. So the counterplay is literally to get insta-downed. Both of these examples are laughable in that you avoid punishment by a perk or add-on by punishing yourself in an arguably less severe way. And the worst part about them is you don't even know for sure if the other player has them until they use it on you! You could be playing around something that they don't even have, and that's why these things are so polarizing to have in the game. When you, by default, play around something because you must assume everyone is running it, doesn't that show how broken the perk is?
I think I've made my point. Taking the DS is not adapting or switching up your strategy. It's glorified Russian Roulette, and when you play it you lose the game most of the time, both metaphorically and literally.
The counter play to ds is actually pretty simple. Dont tunnel. There are 4 survivors, spread the pain and ds cant get you.
Not saying ds cant be abused but its very rare as long as you dont tunnel
-
Doctor is more busted then freddy. A killer who can find survivors by a press of a button without any perks or add ons is already op. Then put in his never cooldown shock its ridiculous. I used to love playing doctor now i wont touch him. He's boringly easy to play

At most, pop can work 5 or 6 times in a match. All it does is slow the survivors down a little bit if they are decent to good survivors.
DS while being able to be used only once, it can stack on all survivors and one use is all it needs. The 5 second stun is incredibly powerful if you also count the time it took for the killer to get to grab the DS user. Think of this the way Scott Jund put it as he made a great example of how powerful 5 seconds can be for even a decent team of survivors. He said "Think about it this way, for every second the survivors play vs every second the killer plays, multiply the survivors seconds by 4 since there are 4 survivors." It lets us know just how strong survivors can be since over the course of a game that second turns into 4 to 8 to 12 every second there are 4 survivors alive. This also lets us know how much progress survivors can get done on anything.
Ok good to know you play killer and have seen what DS can do, but it's important to know that it does more than just that. Just its existence makes killers think twice about picking up a recently hooked survivor if there is an obsession. Maybe playing some more killer could help you understand how lame DS can be at times.
Tunneling is a strategy that is used by many skillful killers. I myself do this sometimes. I will admit, tunneling someone off hook and trying to mori them (or at least hook them twice) isn't exactly "skill" and they could definitely learn a few things. You can't just tell people to git gud and stop tunneling. What else is the killer supposed to do? Good killers will only tunnel the obsession to slug them if it is convenient, they will only slug them at most. It is not usually their fault for being in a position to tunnel a survivor, and remember it's not like killers have that many options unlike survivor. DS is still an issue for good killers and even the best of killers.
Ive played lots of killer matchs as well as survivor and dont see ds as an issue. Pop can actually be used up to say 10 times.
In regards to tunneling is used by skillful killers makes me laugh. I dont tunnel and still 3k (usually let 4th go).
Yes it could become a problem if all 4 players use it but in my red rank experience that has happened maybe twice.
At the end of the day way to many killers would rather cry about ds just like way to many survivors would cry about noed instead of playing around it. Ds isn't truly the issue, the issue is and has been gen speeds. If gens were slower the 5 second stuns wouldnt cause killers such issues.
But lets Say they nerf ds, what nerf do you want? How would you like the perl to function?
-
Im curious what way there going to nerf keys. Yeah it sucks when that happens but who knows if the nerf will truly fix that. I would hope by next chapter its released but could take a long time based on there commitment.
-
Pgtw can be used several times and decimates gen progress. Ds can be used once. I dont use it myself but you killers need to get some skill and stop tunneling. In all my killer matchs ds has cost me the match exactly once and thats because i played poorly. Its a non issue for good killers
-
I main survivor 90 percent of the time and find it really easy in 95 percent of matchs to cleanse totems. The only reason to be upset by hex perks is if your the kind of player who only does gens and in that case its your own fault. Memorize totem spawns or just look you can usually find them easy.
Also killers can use any perks they want with any add ons on any killer just like survivors can do the same.
Instead of whining about hex perks adept and learn to destroy them leaving the killer perkless
