If it isn't, die on hook and let them worry about the rest. What I do is get to 2nd hook, struggle and as soon as someone is about to get to me, stop struggling and die. Get into a fresh lobby and move on asap.

If it’s 2+ minutes since the trial started, I get hooked and I see no gens done and other survivors running/crouchin/walking around without doing totems or gens, I’ll do it 100% of the times.

Same here. I’m just about so done with this game honestly. The new update has made everything even worse. Now I just said screw it and my last few games I’ve been running around trying to get the killer on me and being goofy.

Playing Deathslinger kinda sucks atm, huntress is total BS though.
Deathslinger both sides get shafted by the hitboxes a lot right now.
I just got downed by the huntress through a window and I was way away from the window and she still got me.

Were they carrying someone? Because if they were just walking in the open they can evade the light extremely easy. On the off chance you’re suspicious of Lightborn which is rare to come across then test for it while they break a pallet but don’t fall for a fake pallet break where they just look down at the plank as you drain your battery.
I did it just when they were picking someone up. I was hoping to do a flashlight save. They just came over and downed me and went on their merry way with their victim.

The default flashlight has a pretty small radius as well so it needs to be aimed precisely to work. Once you can figure out exactly where to aim for different killers it gets easier, but it's still a very situational thing
I had a yellow flashlight so i figured it would at least do somewhat decent. And I was facing off against the legion, aiming the sucker right at his eye holes too. Didn’t work.

My luck I just got a toxic bunch of idiots who thought they could be toxic and get away with it. I did three gens by myself. All of my teams kept dropping like flies not helping. And then finally I died and one of them got away thanks to my efforts. I feel like a low level office worker whose manager keeps taking the credit for my efforts and getting rewarded for it.

Well I’m rank 1 both sides but rarely play survivor. So my rank has fallen steeply on that side. Take this for example. I just played it.

The rank 3 survivor was a solo Q. He got two rank 9 survivor teammates who got slaughtered. There was nothing he could do.
That doesn’t surprise me in the least. Though when I play survivor the ranks are still all over the place.
I can’t wait for the new update where the Killer just swings his weapon in the air and everyone goes down. Lol. Seems how this game is going with these insane hit boxes. Btw not hating on you but I hate Leatherface. I can’t counter him at all and now with the hit boxes the dude is basically undefeatable.

The Game was already one of the worst maps for Survivors. A killer can easily gen patrol and can usually lay waste to all survivors. Even with the additional pallets anytime I get that map my team gets wrecked. We are lucky to even get the gens down to one. So I don’t mind that update. Forgot to mention in your post that the spawn points are really out of wack now. I can’t tell you how many times in the first five seconds of a match someone gets hit or I get hit cause I’ve spawn right near the killer. Overall, I hate almost everything about this update. The game is borderline unplayable as survivor.

I don’t know why they were following me. I didn’t want a heal, I had iron will. All they did was lead the killer straight to me again. It got me killed. I’m not playing survivor again. It’s a waste of my time unless they fix the matchmaking.
Matchmaking is terrible for Killer. I’m rank 16 and keep getting red rank survivors to go against. Idk what is wrong with this game but the list of problems seem to be growing with each new “improvement and update”.

I find it funny(not really) that objects in this game have no mass. I’m getting hit through trees and everything. If you can no longer juke and try to avoid the strikes from killers with your surroundings anymore then just take all objects away and make it a desert map so the killer can have an easier time and not give the illusion to survivors that trees and such can shield them from attacks.

No, it won’t help. I just played my first solo Q game of the night. I am a rank 4 survivor. I get a rank 20 teammate who randomly DCs at 5 gens left. My other teammates are rank 16, rank 15, and the killer is rank 12. They just follow me around leaving scratch marks when I clearly don’t want their help.
I literally cannot take solo Q. There is absolutely no reason not to just play killer instead outside of the 4 man sweat squads. Solo Q is literally garbage
At least they are following maybe hoping to knock out gens together. I get people who scatter like roaches and go hid for the majority of the match.

Honestly due to the update I would have taken a break from the game. Then magically they decided to do the event during the update so can’t wait till they fix what they broke lol

I also stop caring about a match when it’s a doctor and the map is super small. Just had a match in the swamp and the doctors shock radius pretty much covered the entire map. I was done.

Another advice. If you don't mind playing in a team, try to find people who play like you during the matches and add them. I'm pretty sure other players are as frustrated as you are with this situation and looking for good people to play with.
Yeah no. I’m level 5 and I’m still getting survivors acting like they are level 20.

I am legit not having fun with DBD with this new update. The hit boxes are insane. Spawn points are wonky. The animations suck. But I want to do the event and just try to get enough points and challenges to progress. I don’t or can’t even care anymore about winning. I haven’t had a match in a long time where the killer doesn’t absolutely stomp everyone. Even the “weaker” killers seem to be going to town in matches.

Here is a match from me vs bubba, not the best play from me but here you can see some of things that works.
Aslo try not to get out in the open.
Anytime it seems I face off against LF it’s always an open area map where all the gens are out in the open as well.

Maybe that’s possible. Sometimes at the start when I load in there is lag issues. But it only last maybe three seconds.

Right, i know that, but i'm assuming OP is exaggerating. They are claiming that they had several games in a row where this happened. As someone with 1.5k hours, i have encountered less than 10 games with a hacker in them. They are very rare. So i'm assuming OP is incorrect.
If you look online just at YouTube videos in the past couple of months even dbd pro streamers are encountering hackers a lot more it seems. So who knows, maybe they are just getting more bold these days with hacks and such. Heck when I first started playing killer a month or so back one of my first matches was against a hacker. It was a Ming. It was just me and her left in the map. Everyone else left. She had been trolling me all match and I really wanted her. She had a flashlight too. So I finally downed her and then magically while she’s on my shoulder she managed to blind me with her flashlight and got away. And she was also the only survivor in that match who had one. So maybe hackers are just coming out of the woodwork cause more than likely they know they won’t get banned.

I'm not kidding, playing windows is the only proper counter to Bubba, although a really good Bubba can play around windows, so even then it's not the greatest. Without being able to vault a window multiple times, though, all you can do is instantly drop pallets. And a good Bubba knows how to time his chainsaw to force you to instantly drop the pallet without even a single loop.
Basically, the counterplay to a good Bubba is to do everything in your power to not go down, because once you do you've left a giant deadzone for the next chase.
That sounds like a whole lot of just give up. Cause he has hit me through windows, went through pallets with ease and everything.

ah yeah some of the last times I played going back about a month or so even at least I had some very unlucky spawns with an immediate threat radius. And at least once I saw the kilelr pop out and see me dead on within the first couple or few seconds (leatherface gabby jay yay), and I was in a bad spot and was like frak it and dc immediately knowing I was gonna be tunneled and had no where to run where I spawned lol. In fact that specific bad start may have been the point where I asked myself ######### I was waiting ten minutes for (queues hadn't pushed 15 - 20 minutes yet when it happened but once it hits 5 it becomes too much for me to put upw ith sometimes).
Heck there was even one time for me when I played as Huntress I spawned with a direct line of sight to a survivor. It was very unfortunate for that survivor lol

People have been asking for proof to help figure it out since your first comment... It's happened 3 times since and you've not even recorded a match? That seems odd.
I made the post well after the matches. So my PS4 no longer has the video. If you don’t believe me that’s fine. I was merely asking and wondering if people have experienced anything similar. Is it really that odd though? This game is buggy as as get out and the devs don’t really have a good anti-cheat system in place.

I don’t think all three killers were hacking. Maybe the first one that was legion cause she appeared everywhere. But I’m mostly saying that perhaps the spawn points are wonky.

I was being a little but hyperbolic but it’s almost impossible to win atm. Most of my teams can’t even get two gens done before they are killed.

I’ve had three matches so far and every match someone has gotten hit in the first five seconds of the match. I was the third. The spawn points are messing up I believe.

Ok. So now it’s happened to me in my third match just now. I spawned in and not two seconds later a Hag was on me. I’m guessing the spawn points are messing up. Cause she was on me immediately and come right for me.

I mean, without video to see what happened there's not much we can say. Depending on the map, and spawns, it is very possible for a killer to find a hit a survivor within a few seconds of the map starting. I think my personal record is around 5 seconds.
Aaaannnddd just had another match with a Wraith that downed someone in the first few seconds of the match too. Is spawn points broken or something? Or has the new update allowed hackers and people to just go hog wild?

No because the survivor was running past me immediately with legion behind him right at the start of the match. So the legion somehow hit this person in just a few seconds of the match starting

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve noticed a lot of times Killers attacks go through objects and hit me more than ever. They will hit me through trees, and other surroundings.

To emphasize my point. Just had a match where I died on the first hook cause everyone was slowly creeping around not doing gens or coming to help me at all. Of course Killer was nowhere around me. Ugh.

He sat there and damaged the gens while we worked on it. And for some reason my teammate kept healing me when he downed me. I didn’t heal her with she went down to try to end the game but she rose right back up. I guess with that unbreakable perk or something. Then the cycle started all over again.

I wasn’t allowed to bleed out. My teammate kept healing me for some reason. She wanted to play along with him holding the game hostage. So every time I was downed he would let her heal me.
