would you prefer Spirit have exactly zero decent counter play instead of a small amount of decent counterplay?
-
Jake has been getting routinely shafted and that makes me sad
-
Me, a guy that mains 6 killers: "I am 3 parallel universes ahead of you"
-
more times then i care to admit
-
isn't being hideous and disfigured the entire frigging point of half the killer designs? Nemesis and Hillbilly in particular?
-
I always test the waters whenever i load into a match, if the killer is capable of downing the first person they find quickly then i know i will likely have to keep on my toes, if not, then i know i can relax a bit
-
playing a proper match on RCPD can go one of 2 ways
- you play a killer like Blight or Billy, in which case you basically lose since your power is almost impossible to use
- you play Demo, in which case it's pretty much a free win because gens can spawn surprisingly close together and have space for portals, plus some the hallways are tight enough for Shred to be almost unavoidable

he's the newest killer. And he has zombies which turns the game into a 3vs4 which is much more fair :)
realistically speaking the zombies make it more of a 1 1/2 v 4 rather then a 3v4, less on larger maps

You can't get an anniversary crown on Nemesis so anyone doing the event won't play him.
Also, he's just an average Killer nothing super special. I would expect him to have a similar pickrate to Demo
so basically not nearly high enough considering his potential

Haddonfield is terrible gameplay-wise. It's been said a million times, but that's not what this thread is about.
What doesn't get talked about often is how bad Haddonfield is as a representation of the Halloween franchise.
Compare Haddonfield to Raccoon City, Midwich, or even Hawkins and The Game. The difference is staggering in how well the series is presented. It's basically just a generic suburbs map with almost zilch to do with the Halloween franchise. Even Springwood has better representation.
I'm seriously hoping that Haddonfield gets a major overhaul eventually and it gets completely redesigned both to make it more representative of Halloween, and to make it stand out more from Springwood, which re-uses two of the buildings from Haddonfield.
To be fair the map was made in I think 2016, I.e very early in the game’s lifespan
i’m sure the devs want to make the map have more references and such, but they do still need to remodel, redesign and confirm with license holders that any changes they make are ok

Nope, and to be very blunt about it: if you're playing on console, you need to understand that you guys will be (sadly) at the lowest priority for any game developer.
Consoles:
- Take longer to test (no ptb)
- Need additional approval from companies for every patch (Xbox|Microsoft, Playstation|Sony, Switch|Nintendo|etc)
- Harder to update (different codes for every console except PC which devs use to develop games)
- Cause more latency issues & overheats
- etc
It's not your fault as console players, but with that much obstacles, the devs must find it tiresome to keep fixing bugs after bugs.
Sad but true
-
I can't speak for console players but i'd much rather they just say "hey, we're cutting support for last gen, optimizing it is a absolute headache and we don't think it's worth the time or money" instead of complete radio silence
-
May I recommend a dose of DemoYeet?
it’s guaranteed to make you smile if you like moving at Mach 5 whenever you jump off of a elevated surface
-
Until human behaviour changes in such a way that Solo Queue teammates actually get stuff done, odds are Hatch is going nowhere

Your normal killer is a street car. Slow, but easier to control.
Nurse is an F1 car. Incredibly hard to maintain control, but if you can she will outperform all the others.
This is one of the best analogies for comparing Nurse to the other killers I have ever seen
-
I had (and still have) a very hard time ever playing without Lithe, I just love the perk and how it can be used to get out of bad situations via Pallet Tech
-
the new shirt cosmetic for Trickster
-
i would like to see Survivor be made to be much more interesting and interactive, the issue is how would you do it without it feeling intrusive?

@Boss said:
Which was the meta Perk here?

i mean Agitation used to be META...in 2016, when there were almost no perks
-
Xenomorph or The Scrin
-
Pretty much the only way the map could be more survivor sided is if the killer was automatically shot by a A-10 Warthog the second they load in
-
While i'm sure that would lead to a lot of interesting perk builds the reality is that pretty much everyone would just run Ruin and NOED alongside the build that they already use, meaning that games would get very tedious and very repetitive very quickly
-
i think instead of making a pretty strong perk basekit we just fix survivor spawns to not be within viewing distance of generators and totems, then if the early game is still a massive issue then we can go from there
-
Mainly Neas and Claudettes, mostly because Nea is the character a lot of people who want to bully the killer play and Claudettes spend most of the match not doing anything and waiting for hatch

So basically risk getting killed. Gotta love those challenges. It's like they try to be creative with them but fail to be, so the challenges end up being annoying as hell.
But thanks for explaining for a dummy like me.
honestly in terms of design this one is one of the least bad, the hatch escape while carrying a map challenge is infinitely worse then this one
-
Simple, the killer has to go near a generator that you used Red Herring on within 30 seconds twice
basically, do a gen till Red Herring activates, try and get the killer's attention, go in a locker near the gen, then repeat

I agree. And I highly doubt that the majority of players will suicide once they have the Crown. Yes, some matches will be affected by it, probably at the beginning of the event and near the end, but it will not be massive.
At the very least, there should be another requirement, like, repair a full Gen (so 80 Charges), this means, someone who suicides with a Crown was at least somewhat helpful before.
problem is is that currently A LOT of people suicide or DC anyways because there's no penalty
Hell i've had matches where the killer just finds the crown then sits in the basement for the rest of the match, it's rare but it happens
-
not saying i don't believe you but what evidence do you have for this?
-

They are currently off. I assume it is because the game is about as stable as me trying to ride a unicycle while juggling three chainsaws on a tightrope suspended 8000 feet in the air in the middle of a hurricane.
So... it'll probably be a while before the DC penalties come back
pffft, amatuer, if you were a true juggler you'd light the chainsaws on fire
-
there is one reason and only one reason to play Trickster over Huntress
Trickster is a Jojo Reference, that's the only reason you need
-
@Tower_XVI said:
Does anybody know which Tomes by number are associated by which killer challenges? I'm going back and completing them I could have sworn there was a huntress one and I can't find it anywhere...
Huntress was tome 3 or 4 i think, it's best to look through each of them, if you find the Huntress' Hatchet icon you're looking in the right place
-
Meanwhile i have been engaged in Operation: Aniversameme for the better part of most of the event and i've been having a lot of fun and success, somehow
Not everyone is playing like a dick, i encourage you to also not play like a dick
-
i mean, you're not wrong

i haven’t been on dbd yet what the ######### happened?
game restart's itself if you spend too many bloodpoints at a time and matches either have 300 ping or crash upon loading in due to a player getting disconnected
-
New map is active
rejoice
-
At this point I’m not even sure God knows
-
Toss a coin, nothing is going to stop a good Spirit from killing you unless you get extremely lucky and your teammates rush gens like madmen
-
@gendoss said:
I actually think it will be the opposite. Who will want to lose out on 4 - 5 cakes every game? Nobody will DC.
You’d be surprised how petty some players can be

@BioX said:
preeeetty sure Trickster received nothing but buffs and in the right hands he is hard to deal with.
Nemesis is in a good spot right now imo.
The devs added a lullaby that covers the same amount of ground as Huntress, so a smart survivor who’s listening for it will be able to start running to a good loop before you can get into Trickster’s effective range,
keep in mind that Deathslinger doesn’t have one and with M&A he’ll likely be directly on top of you and able to shoot you before you even realise he’s there
that point about Nemesis being in a good spot I can agree with though, minus hit boxes and the absolutely worthless amount of Hindered contaminating a survivor is meant to give
-
Go for max distance shreds as much as possible, bonus points if it’s from a elevated surface like hills, the second floor of Ironworks or The Thompson House balcony

Hell yeah. If I can suggest one of my favorites, Get Off My Lawn Hag. Find main building, shack, or a high-traffic area and put all of your traps in it - not strategically, just in a huge cluster to freak out whoever first runs through the area. Bring the ear addon for extra chaos. If you end up in an indoor map, just find a good hallway and put the traps down it in a straight line.
This sounds like a good time, I’ll have to try it tomorrow!

So if they're 14 meters away (meaning you failed the add-on bonus of 15m) but you hit them, do you have to let them go or do you still smack them because you still made a long shot?
You have to let them go if it wasn’t a sharpshooter shot
sorry, them’s the rules

Ooooh....Deathsniper sounds cool. Tell me more.
Simple really, Deathslinger but you must go for Sharpshooter shots as much as humanly possible, with the objective being at least one down with the addon that lets you instadown with sharpshooter shots
-
@Aneurysm said:
Demoyeet? Is that just lots of shredding off high places?
Yes, yes it is

Demochef

The only time i ever hate streamers is when they're being toxic
one guy I had was hiding in a corner, not doing gens, spamming the rescue animation whenever he went to unhook and just spent half the match making monkey noises, needless to say, no way in hell was he ever getting out of that match alive
