oh c'mon... we can go deeper than that.
But jumping high is all that is needed. What can't you do once you master the art of jumping?
Not to mention that he can squash killers. For example, he can leave your average Billy from looking like this:
to looking like this by the end of the trial:
-
Welcome to my TED talk about why Mario would be the most powerful survivor.
He can jump really high
Thank you for attending.
-
If someone calls me a baby killer when I play The Twins I just say either "yes." or "Don't call him that" and immediately leave.
-
As good as the anime trailer is (my opinion), it wouldn't work because it doesn't fit the tone.
-
Yeah I really don't know where people get the whole "DS is useless" thing from. Maybe it's because they relied on a perk to win rather than skill, but idk.
-
There are simply too many hurdles to overcome, so it wouldn't work from a gameplay standpoint. It's a great idea though.
-
Fantastic advice, thank you!
-
But the red stain can give you an advantage.
Also, removing it would make mind games unnecessary, and I don't know about you but learning how to mindgame loops and pulling them off is one of the things that makes this game fun.

Not bait, the guy above you made a good suggestion for implementing loot boxes. There's nothing wrong with loot boxes as they don't effect the gameplay.
Why would you ever want lootboxes over directly purchasing cosmetics?
This is obviously bait, stop pretending it isn't.

But j-flicking isn't stretched res its a whole other beast, it is a mechanic that has counterplay to it, unlike something like strechted res which is the only reason I can stand by j-flicking because a mechanic that is both fun for the game and raises the skill ceiling of a killer even if unintentional should be accepted for the fact that it adds more depth to a character and their mechanics while not trivializing all survivor interaction with it
I never said that the J-flick was uncounterable or unfair. I only said that I am against people playing in an unintended way like that.

So you would also agree that stretched res should go.
Yeah of course
Plus stretch res is an actual straight up unfair thing

Because that's a band-aid fix for an unnecessary issue. The scratch marks keep getting worse and wider.
Ok, you've made your point. So wait until the devs decide to fix it (IF they decide it's even issue)
And run
Predator

Yeah I mean if they actually edit Blight's kit and make 180 degree turns something you can do if you're good enough without exploiting DPI (I don't know how they would do this but yeah), then it wouldn't be an exploit and I would be okay with it.
I'm not okay with it in its current state.
My point exactly.
-
then why don't you run Predator?
-
I'm not against the J-flick itself, I'm against the idea of people bending the rules to use something in an unintended way.
-
Once J-flick goes, Blight really won't deserve any complaints.
-
So basically I had one on the hook, one downed, one dead, and one injured. The injured one used a key and I grabbed him as he went through hatch, but instead of grabbing him, I got frozen in place and he wasn't affected at all, so basically I had to watch as he unhooked one, picked up the other, and all three escaped. Through hatch. In front of my face.

surprised "baby" isn't censored after what happened last chapter
-
Hey Sluzzy are you going to make a post about how OP survivors are for april fools
-
Fredster: Thrilling Tremors and Pop and then anything you want because as long as you have those two it doesn't matter.
Legion: Surge, Thana, Thrilling, and Pop. Thana is interchangeable with Devour Hope or Blood Echoes (but that's just what works for me) but those other three are pretty necessary.
-
Surprised and happy to see Pig so highly ranked
-
Oh dang it you can't work on a gen for 60 seconds because there's nothing the killer can do about it anymore, whatever will you do?
-
- I agree with this
- The problem with this is it still has the same issue as current Rules Set No.2, but it's definitely the best change other than totally reworking it
- I love the idea of making her less RNG dependent, this is also a great change.
- I'd like to introduce you to Combat Straps and Last Will.
- This is something I suggested when I made a similar post, and I definitely think that these addons need to be changed as well.

DS+UB IS very difficult to counter, there is no arguing against that- but speaking from personal experience, there were many matches where I would have had no idea that those perks were even present outside of the fact that perks are shown to you in the end game screen. Therefore, it wasn't quite as passively active as Ruin+Undying was, if that makes sense? Like, survivors basically HAD to take action from the very beginning of the match to neutralize R+U(+Tinkerer, commonly) but a killer might not even have an issue with a full SWF of UB+DS if he was lucky enough to be involved with the right survivors at the right time. (Of course, chances are, any game with more than one DS+UB bringer could give you issues with at least one survivor and it could snowball the entire match out of your favor)
I don't disagree with anyone who believes that Ruin+Undying wasn't all THAT powerful in SWF, but I think the main issue was that it was extremely oppressive in solo queue. The fact that Undying showed auras made it difficult to cleanse hexed totems, and not being able to notify another survivor of its location further made it difficult. Combining Ruin and Undying with Tinkerer further added to the solo queue oppression- because then you also couldn't tell a teammate to finish the last 20% of your gen that you were working on before you got pulled up on.
And again, as far as the commonality of either build, that's definitely personal experience- both as killer and as a survivor when I played solo queue, I rarely tended to see DS+UB (my swf doesn't use that build, so I definitely never saw it there!) but I would say that a very high percentage of killers that I went up against used Ruin+Undying(+Tinkerer) pre nerf.
I kind of wish devs would release a stats list of what perks were most commonly used+what perk builds were most common, tbh
Ruin and Undying was certainly hell as solo queue, and I see your point. I also definitely agree that the devs should release the perk usage tracker thing.
The thing you mentioned about not being able to tell if a survivor has DS+UB and how that would make Ruin and Undying more oppressive is where I kind of start to disagree, because as killer the fact that you won't know if It's safe to slug the obsession or if you're about to lose a ton of momentum is a really powerful side effect. But again, I do see where you're coming from here.
-
Yeah [BAD WORD] this [BAD WORD] This gam so unfair now
v76b 6y7jugtiu
-
Probably not. Even for an underwhelming killer like Trickster, it takes a very long time and a very large amount of money to get all the programming, animating, and modeling done and create the killer.
-
Don't be a meanie, stop the cycle

Yes, just yes. Ruin and Undying was probably the most common killer build I saw pre-nerf, and considering it requires no survivor behavior to be active, it had the potential to be very oppressive (at least in solo queue- not so much in a decently coordinated SWF).
It was common but personally I see DS+UB more. Plus, it can be neutralized by an SWF or detective's hunch, but DS+UB is basically impossible to counter.

Almost as if Ruin+Undying was more powerful AND more common than DS+Unbreakable.
Not almost, just no.

and fun fact i already removed ds from my build along time ago, the only real problem is that now is worthless so no one is gonna use
And tunneling is at all force again (:
it's not worthless, it just doesn't give you god mode anymore

Please, work on your text interpretation, you literally just ignored my hole point and sayed in an way that it seems like i am stupid, if you wanna to prove why i cant be tunelled in these situation explain why, and dont distort what i say
Thanks!
the things you brought up are things that you'd do after the DS stun, and you can still do that. Obviously, the difference is that you can't do it willy-nilly with no consequences. It takes some time to adapt, but DS will be just as serviceable once you do.
-
@Breque said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2060662#Comment_2060662
Nah it dont, in an chase you can do a lot of things that will desactivate ds, if you are being really tunnel what the game basically does is, Ah it would be good to you to do that just as like, healing your self in the middle of the chase/healing someone that its 99% in the dying state, gen tapping, unhooking someone, but if you that we are just going to disable your perk so play like an bot pls (:
The only thing that really does make sense is cleanising totens and sabo hooks
If you're injured you aren't going to do those things anyway because you're throwing the chase. With old DS you would be able to do those things and abuse the untouchability it gave you.
Basically what you're saying is you can't play without an overpowered perk to carry you.
-
The thing is that if no auras are revealed then it's not really bad to camp since if you step away from the hook the survivors will get the save faster than you can say "Trickster". And if survivors are far away from the hook to get revealed by BBQ, they aren't being tunneled.
-
before you can do anything.
Okay.
Meaning
that you can still use DS
-
@Zixology said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2060662#Comment_2060662
It really doesn't... Even if you use DS, they're immediately gunning for you.
so then you get to use the perk and get away...
-
@Zixology said:
A perk shouldn't be required to be able to play the game.
Love how, now that DS is worthless, killer mains everywhere are telling you to run it.
"worthless"?
you realize it still helps against tunneling right?
-
Yeah, maybe they can hire fog whisperers to give feedback so they can change it. But that probably won't happen because "wE HaVe tHe pTb!!!111"
