This is legitimately and objectively one of the most balanced and healthy updates to the game.
Both Survivors and Killers have seen their most meta and most oppressive perks nerfed. Anyone who didn't rely on meta perks as a crutch realises this, but meta being meta, most were reliant on them.
- You have a massive portion of the playerbase who are 'killer mains' and are incredibly offended by how regression perks have been nerfed.
- You have a massive portion of the playerbase who are 'survivor mains' and are incredibly offended by how CoH and DH have been nerfed.
Any healthy level of introspection and personal reflection would reveal this for the fair trade off it is, but instead, we have the vast majority of players who are diametrically opposed and hate this update for two entirely conflicting reasons. Anyone who "genuinely thinks this game is in a bad spot" from this most recent update, is quite frankly, deluded. And if they think that their sudden displeasure at a healthy game update warrants a fresh 0 review to "stick it to BHVR" for simply improving their game, they're not just deluded, they're petty, asinine and pathetic.
Nice take. Did you actually read this before you posted it? You come across as incredibly callous and condescending to anyone who doesnβt share your opinion.

I am also on PS 5 and experience none of things on a regular basis.
I do however experience those things when I am having internet issues. My games all run fine on my wifi network but Sony does recommend users use a Ethernet cable plugged directly into their console. Hope this helps.

Nah, this is on you. I played survivor for 8 hours the other day and I died 4 times. Solo q, no exhaustion perks. Not everyone is struggling.
Totally believable.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/373180/two-basic-questions-around-tunnelling
To both of your questions i can give a answer within one word: No
I don't know how good you both are, but with the new hud, the antigen-perks nerf and the rng of most maps the genspeed is already way to fast. If i play surv or killer, it is most of the time the same outcome: Killer gets first hook -> 1 - 3 gens are done or at least barely done.
Also i don't understand this complaining about tunneling. It is the objective to kill the survs as the killer. Why does a killer have to be nice and look for a new surv, getting a down on him and hokking him? So the survs can have the most fun? Sry but since when i have to think about something like that?
If i play CS:go and i notice someone who is weaker than the others and i can tell, where the person is going, i'll use this and get this person out for my own advantage.
If i play CoD and i am demolishing the enemy team, i won't stop, just because they could have less fun this game.
If i play Lol, i won't stop killing my enemy, just because he got ganked often and killed 15 times, not having a great game.
Do you see my point? Why do i have to care in Dbd, but in other games it is just normal to play for my own advantage.
Of course it can be annoying get tunneled out, i get tunneled out often as well, but i try at least to buy as much time as possible, so i am maybe the only one he is killing.
There is a lot of issues with these statements. For clarity sake and not typing a manifesto in response all of those PVP games you mentioned, its a level playing field- you can just as easily die as kill someone.
That is not the case in DBD. Survivors can not simply just choose to tunnel and face/proxy camp because they're "LEGIT STRATEGIES" and not in the "POWER ROLE" and remove 1 player from the match for whatever reason they want, unlike killers. It's a blatant double standard and part of the issues withe the game that the devs have 0 interest in even addressing.

Talk about not reading the OP
"they've always been a problem, they're still a problem, even after the multiple nerfs they've gotten."
BNPs have been an issue since forever.
In whose eyes? Killer mains?
They literally cry about anything that is half way decent.
I have already seeing posts calling for nerfing SB, Lithe and yes BNP.
-
That didn't last long. 2 days and killers already crying about something else.
-
π«
-
Who cares about meta? You should be able to play with any perks you want and still be successful or at least have fun. That is not the case.
Sadly, I have given up hope the Devs ever figure this mess out they've created.
-
Boring. Uninspired.
But hey. At least all the killers are happy, maybe they will stop crying about DH and COH in every other thread.
-
Skill issue. Git good.

So i will camp on 5 gen with gen blocking perks as i have no more reason to leave hook and kick gen as well as no reason to down other surv and get pain res.
So i camp 1 man then 2 man.
Survs are reason this will go live
Killers cant regress , dont get reward for chase . Only thing killer gets from chase is bully from pallets and bodyblocks
Regress perks dead
Hex perks dead
Scourge hook perks dead
What choice is left ....
Let me hit you with the quote you leave on everyone else's threads.
Skill issue Git good.

Dead Hard is barely getting touched.
The reason why camping and tunneling are still in the game, is because the ultimate goal for the killer is to kill survivors. Survivors cannot be allowed to have invincibility states as the killer should always have the threat of killing a survivor. Not to mention any sort of invincibility is going to end up being abused. The only way camping/tunneling would be removed would is to completely rework the game which there is really no need to do, because DBD is doing just fine as it is.
"DBD is doing just fine as is". Actually it's not. You do not speak for the entire player base.
Just take a look at the forums before you post drivel.
-
One person escaped and you had more points than anyone else.
π
-
I do not run DH nor any "meta" perks for that matter. I like to challenge myself, meta DBD is incredibly boring and stale to me.
Certain people will not happy until they remove DH ( or whatever perk(s) trigger people this week ) from the game or nerf it to the point it's worthless. That is not probably going to happen.
No perk/skill/item should be nerfed to that point just because a percentage of players want to throw a hissy fit about it and then get on a public forum threatening to ruin everyone else's games because they are not happy.
Not everything is about you, or what you want. You are not BHVR's only customer.
It pains me I have to even get on here and point this out, it seems VERY obvious to me.

not all of them are new... but I remember behavior once releasing data the most used perk: number 1: self-care.
This number can be deceiving, it includes all regions. Ever watched DBD from other countries? In Asian countries, all survivors run self care. Its bizarre.
-
I mean in 2 matches you scored more BP than 7 out of 8 survivors.
No 4k's so you're mad?

No. Its really not.

Dunning-Kruger effect. Everyone in DBD thinks they are top tier MMR.
π
-
Nope. Im pretty much done.
The game is already boring and stale and BHVR refuses to address or even acknowledge the real issues with this game. The changes they're making are only going to make it worse.
Solo Queue is already a total shi* show and its going to get a lot worse.
-
As long as all the killer mains are happy, that's all that matters right?
-
When people start ranting on the forums about "bully squads" and how all their matches are against the dreaded and infamous "Seal Team Six squads" I pretty much just ignore it. People LOVE to be overly dramatic because they think it makes the story more effective and the collective killer hive minds will all upvote their struggles against the forces of evil.
The actual reality is probably closer to they got outplayed and some people cannot just admit to themselves or especially on a forum they are not that good or even had a bad match against good players who knew what they're doing.
-
Trash perk once they nerf it into oblivion. Not even worth the slot.
Don't listen to gaslighting killer mains telling you what to run in your builds, they want you to run nonsensical bad builds so they have more time to BM you on the hook while wildly shaking their heads and planning on the perk they do not like they're going to endlessly cry and whine about on the forums until they get their way.

Take longer breaks not a few days. The longer you stay away the easer it is to play something else.
Devs are not willing to change the game and make it enjoyable and fun for both sides. It took me over 4 years of playing to see this.
Different game modes, rank and unranked matches, more to do in the match (objectives) plenty of ideas put out there, but
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5LRRKSK9N5AB/image.png
Same gameplay over and over again slam out gens, tunnel camp.
I use to play daily know maybe once a month if that.
This guy get it.
I usually say that as veiled sarcasm but in this rare case, I mean it.

You're way overthinking this. A lot of people think it's funny to facecamp with Leatherface and make the survivor rage. It doesn't go much deeper than that. Same reason why survivors love to teabag killers and click flashlights or emote at pallets
It was funny the first 10 million times. Now its just boring, mundane and an incredible waste of time.

Because I should be guaranteed x amount of time in a match even though no other PVP game does that. Also chases are unfun.
Cool. By your logic then, when do survivors get to remove killers from the game because they're bad? By your own words, its a PVP game and its fair play.
Right???

No tunnelling justifies being salty. No matter how you dress it up.
Neither does camping or gen rushing.
Being a sore loser who gets upset about a game is never justified.
Intentionally forcing someone out of a game for some perceived "statistical advantage" or whatever broke or lame reason killers mains and the devs love to throw around is absolutely grounds for being unhappy. If survivors were allowed to indiscriminately remove killers from the match for their own gain you guys would throw a massive fit. But nah, gotta love the double standards in this game.
But please, keep on with the mental gymnastics. Its amusing.

A killer using a strategy you don't like to win doesn't prevent you from playing the game. People need to stop expecting very specific gameplay from the killer to consider the survivor as "playing the game".
Killers seem to have the same issue BHVR does. You fail to understand people don't log onto DBD to get tunneled, camped and slugged just so killers can achieve their 4k every match. That is the exact opposite of playing the game, you are actively removing someones ability to properly play the game just for your pixel dominance.
And people wonder why the game is in the state it is.

I find it funny that people complain about 40 minutes match when a survivor match ends right when he dies on hook
so instead of keeping running and hiding for 40 minutes in a match just go for the generator, if the merchant comes after you, loop her, if she doesn't, then just die trying to do the generator...
It's not only the merchant that holds your matches for 40 minutes, you hold your match for 40 minutes too.
This guy gets it.
Its your own fault, survivors just give up and die on hook so the killer is not forced to drag the game out for 40 minutes for his 4k.

I mean the person I responded to basically wrote nothing, that's why I broke it down so simply.
They said I feel thematically spirit should have no directional sound in phase and she's not that popular so the bug is fine regardless of her current strength. I heavily disagree with these things because it removes the counter play the character has and breaks chasses down to coin flips.
But yes, my comment was meant to be as dumb as it was.
Good job....?

Ahhh here come all the killer mains and their mental gymnastics.
The most precious thing in the world is free time, can you really blame people for not wanting to spend 30 minutes in a match just so a sweaty try hard who thinks he is in the DBD World Championships gets his 4k?
Boring. Stale.
-
Well I hope in the movie the survivors actually get to fight back unlike DBD survivors are treated as nothing but moving hitting dummies.
-
I have met a few friendly smaller streamers who I still play with on occasion.
Quite a few years back I kept getting matched with a fellow playstation player over the space of a few weeks who rocked almost the exact same Nea outfit and was a really good player. He sent me a friends invite eventually and we started playing together more. 6 months later I buy a head set and we start playing with Comms. Over time he introduces me to all his circle of playing friends (about 8-12 people). And to this day I still play (other games, most of them have given up on DBD) with all of them at least 4-5 times a week at night.

Tofu is pretty cracked at Slinger, but be plays lot of killers.

Tunneling, Camping and Slugging are not toxic. They may not be fun for the receiving end, but that doesn't make it toxic. Face-Camping and being repeatedly hit on hook can be considered toxic. Being bled out to death when the killer can hook everyone is toxic.
You not liking something is not toxic. If that was the case, then killers can call running to strong loops toxic. Sabotaging hooks, repairing a gen in the killers face, body blocking for their teammates, bringing in BNP and strong tool boxes, flashlight blinding, map offering to survivor sided maps, rushing gens, camping or using strong pallets, or looping the shack can all be considered toxic according to your definition of the word since they're not fun for the killer.
You have a fragile ego if you think getting camped or tunneled or slugged is toxic when they're actually legitimate ways for the killer to apply pressure and kill survivors.
In my 5k+ hours in the game, never have I faced a killer that legitimately made me want to stop playing while I have met plenty of Survivors that put me off the game and just not play it for a few days. Never have I had a killer wish me and my family death and suffering while it was common to see it from survivors.
Even though Survivors are more, it's obvious they're the more immature, entitled whiny side.
LMAO. Next time mix some actual you know facts in with your gas lighting chief.
