The problem is that the nerfs are movement speed ones. The best counter to her is LITERALLY running circles.
-
Any tips to get this achievement?
Get yourself a Toolbox and sabotage the ######### out of one side of the Map, then make sure you get downed within the time frame of Hook respawning.

The Survivors in the trailer are what the original Survivors looked like in the alpha stage of the game. The two featured prominently in the trailer are Claudette and Jake as you can hear from their voices.

But it's moonwalking in terms of Legion we are talking about here. It's not just any killer.
Moonwalking is moonwalking. You can't exclude one Killer from it just because he benefits more than others.
-
Devs already said it isn't. Moonwalking has been part of the game for a long time and is a major mindgame strategy amongst most Killers.

Speaking about the "fun" part.
Do you think having to chase a single Survivor for minutes at a time is fun for the Killer?
I'll answer that for you: it isn't. The "fun" argument is not applicable here unless we are holding Killers to a different standard than Survivors, which would be hypocritical.

yea camping is bad.. but many bad killers have noed and you dont have a time to find hex totem...so you cant save your friend.. and i said if the survival will be in hook radius it will be normal like now... so killer cant be solo in the hook radius
You are not entitled to an escape, neither are your friends.
You also have all the time in the world to find Totems and even a Perk to help you do that (Small Game). It's a wise decision to go Totem hunting in-between Generators. You may complete your objective a bit slower, but with how many Killers use NOED these days, it'll pay off in end-game.

I consider myself a Freddy main.
His power as-is is flawed on a fundamental level. He is like an inverse Nurse, but instead of breaking the game in his favor like the Nurse, he breaks it in the survivor's favor. There's a reason most killer tier lists give him his own tier.
Can he 4K even at the highest ranks? Certainly. But even the best Freddy mains can't match the quickness and brutality of their counterparts of any of the other killers.
Hence why QoL stuff is needed but would suffice.

Nope. Conveniently enough he's actually mentioned in our first Developer Update: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57097/developer-update-april-2019
He's actually real. It's happening.
You have no idea how much Freddy mains such as myself are dreading this rework. He needs QoL stuff and that's it. The rest is purely about mastering his power, something none of the "Freddy's weak, hurrdurr" people have achieved. He's a more than decent Killer in skilled hands that invested a lot of time into learning him properly. By the sounds of it, severely altering his power, this rework will be a big middle finger to us -.-

People need to understand MOM requires 3 hits, which means in a nutshell most of the time the perk can only activate once during a Trial.
6 hits = The survivor is dead already, and it required the survivor being on the hook once in order to activate it.
Also if the survivor gets grabbed, hit by a power then the perk is completely useless
The irony though, because even after the umpteenth time of telling you, you still haven't understood that 1) grabs are bugged and way too situational with their conditions to be an acceptable "counter" to MoM, 2) MoM is bugged and actually supposed to work with all power hits and 3) just as with old DS and old BT, once per Trial is more than enough to get a free win if the Perk is used mid to end-game (which is usually the case with the condition of 3 hits).
-
DbD is like Whose Line: the points don't matter.
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
It's worse than the old DS. At least you had a chance to prevent it from activating as all Killers. You cannot prevent MoM from activating if you are an M1 Killer. I'm not really surprised though. Too many Survivors refused to get good after the loss of Decisive Crutch and whined their asses off.
As for nerfing it, I would make the Killer's swing go through the Survivor or act like it hit an object instead of playing the full successful hit animation and maybe increase the range where the Killer can't see your aura (not sure by how much though).
Having your Aura revealed is no downside if you can run the Killer around for ages. It can also be prevented for the longest time thanks to a 99% heal strat.

You just said that mori has a counter.
BBQ is too strong on fully equipped killers. And the fact is that if one survivor didnt counter it killer can still apply pressure easily if all 4 survivors did counter it it means no one is gen rushing.
Most people claim how weak are killers but for example if i take busted Billy or Nurse with memento mori i will crush any SWF ( SWF - cheating ) is it okay? Busted killers can crush survivors even though they cheating...
BBQ has several counters by now. If Survivors are too lazy to use them, it's entirely their fault.
And I've done the maths several times: not even Billy can be on top of a revealed Survivor within 4 seconds. Having your Aura revealed does not mean you are automatically screwed.

LOL 'cause Nurse isn't obscenely broken-level OP or anything already with her hits not counting toward MoM.. oh wait, she objectively is broken.
This isn't just about the Nurse, but all M1 Killers that have a special score event when landing a hit right after using their Power. ALL of them are bugged, not just the Nurse. After the fix, only Killers with an injuring M2 power (4-5 out of 15) will still have an option to circumvent MoM, the 10-11 others will not and most of them already are the weaker Killers of the game. Even a Survivor main should see the problem of that and the lack of diversity we'll see in the Killer roaster as soon as more Survivors get their hands on MoM.
-
She isn't worth playing. She could be huge fun, but the devs just had to give her slowdowns from the PTB.

I would say the one being ignorant is the one not allowing their idea be challenged and factually tested.
Tyde is a smart guy he knows the ins and outs of dbd. If you don't want your ideas to be challenged then don't present them to others if you're gonna complain whenever someone disagrees.
So hypocritical. I hate tyde because i hate how he hates stuff like I do. Like why does anyones opinion matter. You play for yourself, it's not a collective decision which sets your loadout. Just zip it and play instead if bitching at every opportunity.
That's the very point: he does not know the ins and outs of the game. There are several things he outright ignores and does willfully so. He's aware that if he'd accept the facts, he would be wrong, hence why he cherrypicks just the parts that fit his opinion and ignores the rest.
He doesn't want to be taught how to play a top-tier Hag, neither does he want to be taught how to play a high-tier Doctor. He prefers to claim that they are weak and can't be played successfully. That's why people here prefer to pass on hearing his opinion.
Disliking someone for being controversial is one thing, disliking someone for being ignorant is another.

Pretty much the vast majority of Survivor Perks are underrated and actually quite good Perks. The problem lies with more and more Survivors getting so accustomed to the exceptionally strong meta Perks, that they deem any Perk that isn't on that level as useless and worthless.
All my Survivors have a unique Perk build that I tailored to their Lore and personality or that synchronises well with one of their unique Perks (I usually make a rule to run at least one of their Perks) to give them some distinguishing features other than their looks.
Kate has Dance With Me, so I paired that with Lithe and Quick & Quiet.
Ace has Ace in the Hole, so I paired that with Plunderer's Instinct.
Claudette has Botany Knowledge, so I paired that with We'll Make It and Empathy (probably going to swap it with Aftercare and add Autodidact and Solidarity once I get them).
Jeff has Aftercare, so I paired that with Pharmacy.
Tapp has Stake Out, so I paired that with Urban Evasion, Quick & Quiet and Lightweight.
Feng has Technician, so I paired that with Alert, Spine Chill and Urban Evasion.

You mean the add-ons that you need to spend BP in a RNG based bloodweb that you will by no means see every match that has a billy?
Well, since Heroiq goes as far as considering non-sustainable Ultra Rare Add-ons as counters to Mettle of Man, he is quite serious about it.
-
Take Unbreakable or No Mither. You are not entitled to a free escape.
-
I suggest ignoring Heroiq at this point. He tries to gain the moral high ground, but we all know he's just a salty Survivor main desperate to keep his new abusive toy of MoM.
We all know that grabs are rare and very depending on the situation.
We all know that constantly using ultra rare stuff is not sustainable on Killer and hence not a valid option.
We all know that most insta-down Perks are situational and unreliable.
There's no point in trying to argue with someone like him, you won't ever change his opinion, it's just a waste of time.
-
Revert her back to her PTB self.
-
The Doctor prescribes aiming 4x at the Survivor at dusk and 2x at dawn for maximum effectiveness.
In all seriousness, it depends on the situation, but I do go more often for the Survivor itself.

Looping was made possible with Patch 1.1.1 in August 2016, more than a year before Leatherface was added. It started to take on the epidemic dimensions it has now at around 1.3 and 1.4. in December 2016/January 2017.

That is mainly because each year around this time, the game had the biggest balance problems.
2017 had 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 with a lot balance issues and the lowest average players in the game's history (3k average; 8k peak)
2018 had 1.9.1 and 1.9.2, regarded as the worst Patches in the game's history regarding balance.
2019 has MoM

You literally sound so inexperienced with mom and that's coming from a baby killer/mid tier survivor whos spent a good amount of hours against it and teamed with it. You seem to have this mindset that all mom players will be meta because they're holding a meta perk that's easy to bait to the point where you don't even need to change your killer of choice to go against it.

Secondary attacks prevent it from activating. Not just one shot. People seem to forget that.
No, unlike you who still hasn't got it through your thick skull, they know that secondary attacks are not supposed to counter MoM and that the Perk is bugged. Your excuse for why MoM is OK will not work once the Perk is fixed, which the devs confirmed they are working on atm.

@DocOctober I feel like the perk is fine where it's a one time deal and it's done, I personally haven't had a problem with it playing killer but I understand the frustration people have with it honestly I think a new killer perk in the same sense as MoM would calm alot of these people down
"When you use your power to attack a survivor 3 times, the next basic attack you use will be an insta down" also we could make it work with Freddy even though he's a m1 just to give him an extra edge he needs. My theory on why this is a good idea is because it will teach the killer to become more skilled at attacking with their power than to rely solely on m1 attacks and the perk itself encourages a play style that could directly counter MoM if used properly and I'm talking wraith uncloaked attacks affecting this, hag post Phantasm, spirit post phase , trappers trap etc.... And then the insta down will negate MoM if they are healed up, just a thought though of course
So that new Perk would be meta as well, again killing diversity. No thanks. MoM has no place in DbD.

@[Deleted User] said:
So, I'll use Freddy as an example. If you hit someone right as the dream transition ends, it's a Dream Demon hit and bypasses MoM. Here's the catch: your second hit will count towards MoM because it's a normal attack. No real option other than letting a survivor wake up to go through the transition and try for a Dream Demon hit again. It hurts some killers so much more than others.
That will stop as soon as MoM is fixed. It's bugged atm.

We have enough F tier perks dont bring MoM into it

There are a lot of excellent Survivor Perks, very few ones that have next to no use. I'm really sorry that you feel any Perk that isn't on the level of the meta is an F tier Perk.

On the Dbd Wiki, one thing I particularly enjoyed was reading Benedict Baker's quotes on Killers.
The devs not updating their website in that regard happened.

We already told you in your other thread why it isn't fine. You also aren't the spokesperson for every other Killer player out there. You supposedly having no problem doesn't make the Perk fine.

It's a double-edged sword. Focussing on bugs & balance would be good for the game's health. But new content is also important to keep players playing/bring players back.

This here, it doesn't feel good to have a constant crowd breathing down your neck whenever you make a mistake. However, in this case, he was being the object of blame for something he didn't do because the wrath of the community made them pee their pants. Like I said before, stressing the developers doesn't do any good and it actually MADE someone leave.
Back on topic:
I wish the developers made a roadmap that's designed to take care of our community problems such as see through Coldwind loops and killer reworks. They might surprise us!
That is SOLELY applicable to Jeff. I'll happily drown the design devs in criticism as they are responsible for the mess we're in right now thanks to coming up with such a ludicrous idea as MoM. As long as it's no personal attacks, they'll have to deal with it.

You cannot give any funded opinion by not seeing it live for a longer time. I am happy to be proven wrong, but I am simply fed up by making panic about things nobody REALLY CAN know how they will work out. Head On was also talked about as DS 2.0 by some. And it isnt.
I am not saying that MoM is a bad Perk. But I am pretty sure that it will be not as commonly used, because while it is good, it is not good enough to replace the current Meta Perks. This is my opinion, it could be wrong, but both my opionion and the opinion that it is too strong can only be proven after it is live for a longer period of time.
Here's why we can though:
If something entirely new comes to the game and people immediately call it OP or UP, it's a knee-jerk, agreed on that.
HOWEVER, and that is the point you guys don't get, MoM is not something new. It's core element is basically old Endurance Borrowed Time with a different activation condition (hits instead of unhook in TR) and without the bleed-out timer.
We knew how old BT worked and can extrapolate from that through our experience what MoM does and how bad it is for balance.
In this case, saying it is overpowered in combination with other meta Perks at this point (and even before it was released) is not a knee-jerk reaction.

I hope you also take into account the number of people using MoM. Because in my games I rarely see MoM used. I am either Solo or part of a 2 Man SWF, but other Survivors dont use this Perk. And I rarely see any Ashs after Release Day.
I couldnt care less about a change of this Perk, because I am not using it, but it is ridiculous that people cry about it even before it is actually live for a longer time to give ACTUAL Feedback and not just Doomsday scenarios.
"I don't see it very often in my games, so this is obviously applicable to every other player out there. If I don't see many MoMs, every one else too doesn't see many MoMs".
Translated that for you.

If this is the devs trying their hardest, then everyone minus the two devs I mentioned need to be fired.
I said it before: Jeff left because a lot of Feedback was non-constructive and or attacking him as a person. He was used as a scapegoat for poor decisions of the design team of which he as a QA dev isn't part of or responsible for.

now, i dont want to sound like a smartace, buuutt...
MoM doesnt work if a killer uses his power to hit you, right?
now, yes... freddy does have a basic attack, however he wont hit anyone with it, unless he uses his power on the survivor first. that way he is actually using his power (indirectly, but he still uses it) to hit a survivor, which should deactivate MoM.
its the same as with the nurses hits. a blink hit is achieved with her power, therefore it doesnt count. i bet when she gets a normal lunge attack on a survivor, MoM does work perfectly fine, doesnt it?
even though it probaply aint gonna happen that these get added / stay, i believe this is a good explanation for it ^^
You're info is outdated. MoM is bugged. Blink hits, surprise attacks, phantasm attacks, none of that will stop MoM anymore once it's fixed.

Im getting blocked just because I happen to play Legion / Nurse from time to time and gets punished for it. Now with Survivors getting a new light they will have less chance of DC/ shitpost on my profile on steam.
People need to wake up and see that this is not as overpowered as they think to be. Look if its an issue with 4 ppl are running it then SWF is the problem, not the PERK
There is adapting to MoM, as I said the chase only extends up to 10-20 seconds more, Killers who can't deal with this are just bad killers. It's already easy as hell to get 2 pips and i get 3/4 kills most of the time. unless against very exp group then i get 1-2 kills.
No ultrare is needed, Killers like Myer will still work with default power, Wraith has his power to keep up with the chase. etc
At this point I'll stop arguing with you, because I'm feeling that I'm wasting my time. You do not want to understand the fundamental issue of MoM. Saying to ignore 10 Killers and only pick 5 from now on is not an acceptable solution.

There is no adapting to rancor either. Without building a specific perk set to try to avoid the killer, if you are the obsession, you are exposed and free morid.
That is acceptable though?
I mean it's only drawback is that the opponent can see your aura but as we hear from MoM that's apparently not a drawback.
Just saying, MoM is NOT the ragnarok perk people want it to be. Its decent. But there are other, more OP perks.
Stop being so pathetic as to compare anything to MoM. The only equivalent would be a Perk that Hooks Survivors after 3 hits, nothing else.
Rancor warns the Obsession from the first Gen onwards of its presence and since it flares the aura of all Survivors at once, there's no guarantee that you'll happen across your Obsession before the gates are open.
I've faced Rancor numerous times as the Obsession and so far never fell victim to it thanks to hiding in the post-exit phase and sneaking my way out. BBQ is easy to bait the movement direction with, Rancor's flare-up is even easier to hide from.
