Its there to remind you

Another success brought to you by the Behaviour Interactive map designers
-
Yeah I said this everytime I saw a survivor make a play like that. They only have themselves to blame. Shame it ruins it for people like me that didn't abuse DS.
-
I'm not gonna lie his current add ons are kinda crap but the charge time and cooldown add ons absolutely needed to be nerfed. Anyone could pick up Billy and just instadown survivor after survivor.
The rest is debatable.
-
(insert killer) takes no skill. Regardless of how much or how little skill a killer takes, these same survivors will often hold W and drop god pallets or abuse busted windows/loops and use DH for distance and then act like when they're looping your Trapper, Myers, Wraith, Leatherface, Pig etc they'll act like it's all skill on their side when really it's just holding forwards for the most part and some killers don't have much in their kit to counter it other than wasting time or breaking chase everytime.
-
"spirit requires no skill just a pair of headphones"
Ever since scott jund put out that first video this has been the line ever since, it's amazing how many sheep can't think for themselves.
Firstly my friend they don't tbag you because you're spirit, regardless of the killer I play I get toxic tbaggers almost every game. Actually scratch that, I get less when I play strong killers because they have some fear. If you use a low-mid tier killer they'll taunt right off the bat.
Survivors say it takes no skill but remember these are the people that will hold W through and around badham school, drop a god pallet, hold w, drop a god pallet, hold w, vault a god window, hold W, vault a god window, hold w and then they'll be like "I looped you bro 😎" as if your m1 killer could do anything about it. They're hypocrites and I say keep doing what you're doing on enjoy their salt. Hit them on hook a little to assert dominance.

The same can be said for DS with killers. DS was extremely strong, it got nerfed. Killers were fine with it for a while before they looked for it to be nerfed again (which it has been)
Does that mean that DS didn't need a nerf? No. It 100% needed to be nerfed due to how abusable it was, but that doesn't mean Spirit doesn't need a nerf just because she was once nerfed before.
Except;
1) Spirit was nerfed, DS was changed into a very different perk, that’s a huge difference.
2) DS was buffed twice after the rework, Spirit has not.
You could argue that current DS at a 5 second stun, no enduring, useable by all survivors instantly (no wiggle progress), no juggling, and a bigger skill check is actually stronger than DS was before the rework.

I know their gonna brutally murder the exhaustion one because survivors can't live without their exhaustion perks for 90 seconds. It's a anti dead hard.
This, and its a shame because to me shes dead then because nothing in this game sucks the fun out of a killer like dead hard against a Huntress.
If they’re smart they wont tap E to outplay you until the hatchet leaves your hands, you cant really bait it out against good survivors in most situations. Realistically everyone has 3 health states against Huntress and it really makes her less fun to play when no matter how good your shot was, no matter how well timed, you don’t get anything for it because someone pressed their E key.
-
I’ll leave with this
Remember when survivors asked for a nerf the first time? Just a little nerf they said thats all, then they’ll shut up. Just remove the collision and then she’s fair.
So behaviour does that, few months of peace and then they all start the nerf campaign again.
This absolutely will not stop until she has the easiest and most obvious counterplay - just like Pyramid its all about switching control of the chase from killer to survivor. Thats what they’re used to, having full control of the chase against killers like Trapper, Wraith, leatherface, old freddy etc and so any killer that goes against they design they consider OP like spirit, nurse, pyramid and deathslinger.
In a way I hope they do nerf her because I think this would finally be the straw that breaks the camels back. It would be for me definitely. Not because I’m a spirit main but because it shows that survivors have creative control of the game, the game wont allow strong killers and that all killers must be at a disadvantage in a chase against the survivors. Each one of the 4 gets control of the chase against the 1 which is ridiculous design.
-
People that play Spirit still need to sweat against good teams. Meanwhile you can run swf, pick the map, bring a loadout of second chance perks and your best items and squash every killer you go against.
Thats not a rarity either thats most swf groups. When people get together thats when they use all their best items and offerings and split across gens and share information. These people probably win 99% of games, but nerf any killer that can even tey to be slightly competitive right so that they can just bully all the wraiths and trappers out there that they expect you to play.
The fact that so many survivors say Spirit takes no skill while they hold W and drop god pallets and abuse god windows against the loopable killers shows how little most of them know or care about balance. Plenty of maps allow survivors to waste minutes of a killers time with no skill required and as long as you have friends on gens you’ve got the game in the bag.
But nerf Spirit thats clearly the biggest problem with the game
-
This map proves once and for all the game is intended only for survivor fun and killer is treated like an A.I. There’s absolutely nothing most killers can do here other than follow survivors around like a big dumb cartoon villain and get pallet after pallet dropped on their head. You only get a hit if the survivor makes a mistake (but lets all cry about spirit), but considering just how damn safe the pallets are it has to be a HUGE mistake, we’re talking people not even paying attention to the game.
The first chase on this map can easily be 3 gens worth, easily. Because you just throw every pallet safely and don’t get greedy and there’s very few positions where the killer can attempt any kind of trickery. Not like it’s even worth breaking off a chase because you’re going to be hindered by safe/god pallets no matter what.
It’s that bad I go afk now on this map. Imagine that a map so bad there’s literally no reason to play it unless you’re using Nurse or maybe Hag. There’s no fun, enjoyment or any kind of gameplay here for 90%+ of the characters available.
I can’t believe people actually designed this, approved this and put it out. Is nobody at Behaviour ever questioned on the performance of their work? I’m genuinely curious as to how that company works internally.

How you think Nurse needed a nerf is beyond me. Her addons needed looked at, yes. A 5 blink Nurse was insane, especially when your fatigue would not increase past like 3 blinks. However, she didn't need addons to make her power worse (looking at both of her ultra rares), nor did she need a recharge on her blinks. At this rate, every killer will have a charge meter on their power and be stuck with trash commons and ultra rares.
The Nurse was never overpowered, but certain addons were. Even then, addons can't carry a bad player, i.e. 90% of Nurse players.
She can teleport through walls and pallets and hit survivors, she completely ignores their only lines of defense but ok she was never op
-
Almost every single game I get now has some stupid toxic clicky clicky tbag tbag moron in it with a boosted ego. They think they’re better than they are due to the devs being terrible at map design and balance, so holding W to run killers from safe pallet to safe pallet and having 4 second chances to rely on in case of trouble really has these players feeling themselves. I can’t stress enough how this is almost every game. They have no intention of playing normally and their whole purpose is to annoy and frustrate other people.
I’ve started playing toxic too. Facecamp and generously handing out a few slaps to survivors on the hook. It’s hilarious how everybody wants to be toxic but when the killer plays toxic all of a sudden the tears start flowing and people wanna talk about fairness and good sportsmanship. I’m gonna keep doing it with absolutely no regrets too because screw this community and the way it acts, and secondly it’s actually kinda fun.
-
The game launched in such a state that 5 years on a lot of things they do now is playing catch up due to all the original issues. Shame that after progressing for so long map design now seems to be regressing.
-
Yeah just as sloppy slows down healing botany speeds it up and buys you more time to do other things. I've had some clutch last second saves thanks to botany, and it makes self-care more bearable.
-
I don't notice much in the difference of skill, chases seem about the same as ever. What is different is gen speed. All survivors jump on gens instantly, nobody is being useless. It's impossible to win unless you slug hard or get lucky when they make mistakes.
-
This is how m1 killers feel on that map - completely screwed

I had a group this weekend. Sent me to the meat plant. All 4 had some combo of these 6 perks; Iron Will, DS, DH, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, and deliverance). Key, ranger medkit with instaheal. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought, but they did all get out. No big deal.
After the game of course, I got gg ez baby killer. I laughed actually because I was actually having mostly good games besides that one. But to your point, more than likely I was playing against some teenagers.
It really would be nice to have a filter on games to play with adults only. Adults obviously can be jerks too (I have been plenty), but I'm guessing the majority of my hate mail is from teens or younger that can't take a loss with dignity or win with grace.
Again, not to say I've been perfect either, but it can definitely get old getting hated or laughed on for just trying to play a game on your spare time.
More than likely they're not teens lmao its actually people old enough to know better who act like this
-
E to outplay hopefully.
-
Have you tried Monitor & abuse with it? should be even better when you have no terror radius
-
Not if it messes with queue times like last time, forcing me to play killers I don't like.
-
The language is out of order but since all words will now just be generic hashtags from next update its not really needed anymore.
The fact that one side keeps using that map offering though and its causing such frustration for the other side really shows how bad the map is and how much of a failure the rework was. I'm sure they'll adjust a pallet or two....eventually....in a few years.

I really wish I new WHAT was involved in matchmaking then, because it isn't even remotely consistent. Today I'm back to all Red/Purple (as it should be). Yesterday I was lucky to get a Red.
..
-
I actually think there's nothing on at the moment. I tried survivor and one game it was a rank 1 killer and the next it was a rank 17 killer. It's just throwing anyone together.
-
Same for me as well. I've been on a losing streak. Watch Otz since he has a winning streak and notice he slugs damn near every survivor he downs. So I start slugging and then the survivors complained I'm a tryhard for it.
I tried camping with bubba too, good success but a few disconnects and lots of abuse post game.
There's no benefit to playing fair lmao they only tbag you at the exit no matter how nice you are.
-
It's actually funny how some of these people play.
I saw a SWF that takes Object, they picked the map and they all split up across gens and start hammering them immediately at the start of the trial. They play like it's a tourney. Half of the killers in the game can't combat that. You wonder how many games they win, and you wonder why after queuing for 10 minutes or so per game they try to rush their way out in about 3 minutes.
Next swf is one I see quite often. They always pick the map and always seem to have BNPs or good toolboxes. They'll all jump on a gen at the start and try to knock one out asap or they'll go for 2&2 and they again dont do anything but gens they just hammer them like their life depends on it.
There's only reason Nurse that can combat these kinds of groups. Spirit and Freddy are mad overrated. You're only gonna win these games by slugging but of course they'll have a few unbreakables thrown in to counter this.
These groups aren't uncommon. It's literally tournament gameplay some groups because it's just split up and hammer gens. Where's even the challenge when you face someone like Trapper? or wraith? or Demogorgon?
-

I'll admit, this sounds a tad bit dramatic. Some games have gen rushers and toxic survivors, but saying its "infested" is a bit over the top (except maybe for DS).
He's right literally every time and I mean EVERY TIME I pick a low-mid tier killer to try and have "fun" I get the toxic click, click, tbag tbag, chase me chase me survivors. Always with the same characters/cosmetics thinking they're original when they're just as sad as the last idiot that tried to imitate whichever moron they saw on youtube like ochido, noob3 or ayrun.
Then these people cry when you use killers that can end their BS quickly. Hmm I wonder why.
-
You looped the killer for 5 gens on meat plant. You are amazing looper, good job.
-
Sometimes things happen, an important call, someone you live with needing something important, I wouldn't want a ban for a 1 time afk but if it happens frequently yes because AFK survivors screw their team.
As killer afk wraith is really lame. Other afk builds....eh if there's a meme to it at least it's something. Sometimes the afk bubbas in the basement are kinda funny because they'll do nothing all game and then someone decides they're gonna loot the basement chest and then the magic happens and its a tense endgame as everyone goes down trying to save.

It's not stronger. Knowing where to go next is critical for killers. Bbq auras are invaluable. Wglf healing is strong, but entirely dependent on the killer slugging. Which you can't predict or rely on.
Killers learn where to go next through experience, it's why you don't see BBQ being run in tournaments. It's also not very effective on a lot of low-mid tier killers as wandering the map back and forth only gives the survivors more gen times.
WGLF meanwhile destroys one of the only things killers can do to stop genrush.
I've tried both and I think WGLF is much more powerful, unless we're talking about Nurse or Billy in which case yeah it's probably BBQ.

" I'm just speculating here but are you guys intentionally making the tome grindy af so that people like me buy auric cells to raise it??"
That's the thing for the majority of monetized games.

omg I thought you were joking 😂 it's actually called sluzzy.
I can picture this poor guy now. Instadowned within first 10 seconds of the game "these damn killers! killers op! no point even trying!"
-
360s for a start and survivor movement in general. Some of them flick left and right at supersonic speeds and it's like I'm controlling a fighter jet when moving my mouse.
Then you have all the "techs" of every variety, some locations that can still be fast vaulted despite not intended, healing slugs so they can't be picked up, running up and hugging killers like pyramid or doctor so their power doesn't hit. There's a lot of cheese on the survivor side that gets let through because apparently "it's skill"
-
@LordRegal said:
Ghostface has become this for me...not because I find him super hard to verse, but because I find more people who play scummy as GF than any other killer. Things like I run directly at him after an unhook where he came back to check at the time I chose to save and he flat out ignores me in favor of the unhooked person kind of scummy play.
If we're talking "I just don't play well against them" then it's probably Leatherface...the very first game I went against him after his rework I did extremely well and I remember thinking "wow, I don't know what people were talking about when they said he was harder to win against now" ...and I've proceeded to be terrible against him ever since.
LOL I've always thought the same thing, Ghostface is the go-to killer for the toxic players. They'll often leave people to bleed out while tbagging. In general though even with disconnects they'll still slug for the 4k and every single one of them runs NOED.

killers are getting buffs, maps are being killer sided, survs get nerfs. So survs realize the only possibility now to escape is doing gens as fast as possible. They’re killing the game. Soon matches will last 1-3 mins only
Matches already last 3 mins lol and which maps are being made killer sided?
-
Generally I'm against things like this being left in the game but considering everything they left in on the survivor side it seems only fair Blight keeps it.
-
As always the survivor equivalent (WGLF) is even stronger. Yet it's the killer version which isn't even that good which gets complained about.

I see way more people complaining about spirit than nurse.
Which is the irony in all this because Nurse stomps all over Spirit, how that person can say Nurse didn't need a nerf the first time is beyond me. She's the only killer in the game that can ever be considered overpowered.
I see low ranks get destroyed by Freddy in 10 second chases but that doesn't mean that in the grand scheme of things he's overpowered.
-
It doesn't get better as you get more experienced either. I can handle red ranks. Green ranks, red ranks, none of them can run me for so long, but it doesn't matter because no matter how short your chases are gen speeds trump all. Gens take 80 charges regardless of whether you have 10 hours or 10,000 hours so as long as everyone contributes their part the game is winnable for survivor.

Right so if survivors beat spirits in chase, spirit bad and survivor got lucky. If spirit did well in chase, spirit OP. Also tru3 goes against good spirits all the time, stop trying to downplay him doing good in chase.
That's the gist of it, survivor mains frame the argument in such a way that either result proves their point.
-
It's not really fair but what do you expect the killer to do? do survivors stop doing gens if the killer is bad at pressuring the map?
Some people will tunnel regardless but the fact that being good at chases doesn't beat gen speeds means killers are often feeling the pressure to eliminate one survivor as fast as possible. I don't like doing it but it's a "better you than me approach", playing nice just leads to being tbagged and mocked at the end and getting entity displeased.
-
Interesting. I have a pretty similar experience, but I'd swap Steve with Laurie, move Ace and Nancy up a tier to usually toxic. Also move Adam Francis up to usually toxic and Ash up to super toxic.
Quentions used to be toxic but from my experience now they're probably the nicest.
-
and yet even with mediocre survivors as a 2 man swf we can still destroy most spirits. Anyone that tries to put her on par with Nurse doesn't understand the game and doesn't play killer.
Take gideon god pallet plant as an extreme example. some of the pallets in there spirit can't do a single thing because her phase isn't going to take her around the map in seconds and land a hit from the other side of the pallet. For some if the survivor camps the pallet it's still a 50/50 which side they're gonna be on and spirit only has time to pick one side. Nurse just teleports through and hits within seconds. There's no comparison Nurse is leagues above Spirit.

Yh their are stats to disprove them. For example the pick rate from nurse in tournaments make no sense with her killrate.
So you see that their always factors behind the stats. You never should use stats without questioning them. You need to understand how the stats were created and what influences them.
Like how Freddy is supposedly the most OP killer in the game and survivors now insta give up against him, yet nobody puts Freddy as the top in tier lists and he's not first picked in tournaments and when he is he generally underperforms against good survivors.
Their stats don't generally show what experienced players see in games.

What about the chapel? Who looked at that and said “ you know it’s okay but it needs breakable walls and a stronger main building
I've seen window spawns there create infinite loops. Sometimes every window is open on the bottom floor. It simply wasn't ever playtested, just like the twins weren't as they came onto the ptb with glaring oversights.
Its things like these where you can't help but feel the game is balanced for low rank, or balanced in such a way that good survivors are given huge timesinks to carry the low rank survivors.
Nobody knows what's going on inside behaviour but I can't help but feel a lot of them have mentally given up on the game.

The problem is solo is so weak in comparison.
There has been a number of fixes for that proposed but the developers refuse to implement any of them. Almo refuses a totem counter for example because he feels people prefer the lack of knowledge as solo survivors because it creates more suspense. Something like that.
So we end up in this stalemate where swf are overpowered but killers can't be buffed because solos exist.
-
It's every region currently. I've never seen the game this bad. I'm not sure whats happened over the past few months or so but I've never seen survivors as focused on gens as they are now.
If I play swf its funny how many killers end up with a strong start but as the gens start popping you see how unfeasible the 12 hooks is without hard tunneling.

Again, many of those killers are not as good as they think they are. You examples feature exactly those inexperienced killers, equivalent survivor players would just get disregarded as being bad/potatoes and that’s it.
and slugging and camping are normal strategy’s that should always be considered when balancing. They are not abused by killers when they are valid mechanics.
and splitting the Gens or getting a 3 gen scenario is not only up to the survivors, the killer can very much influence this outcome.
Ok then I guess all the players being frustrated by killer over the past 4 years and the long survivor queue times is just coincidence. Waiting 10 minutes for a game as survivor for a 3 minute gen rush is riveting gameplay.
Lets just keep encouraging people to quit.

Only map to come close imo is the new game
Haha that's the map I had in mind which made me stop typing "worst map" and instead type "one of the worst maps".
I don't understand how most likely a number of people could look at and approve the new gideon map. You'd think surely somebody on the design team would have said "hold up a minute, this needs more work".
-
I'm not gonna lie there has been plenty of times I've just stood in front of the hook because I can't stomach playing on that map. All depends on the killer I guess.
If you have a killer who has no way to catch up or no range attack then you lose to survivors holding W and god pallets. If you're a survivor against an m1 killer you might be ok, but if it's someone like spirit you're screwed because there's no way to trick her or juke her, you've only got one way to run and that's straight forwards so it doesn't take much prediction work lol
One of the worst maps they've ever designed and that's saying something.
