I hated going against a good Freddy before his nerfs and enjoyed using him. But now he's just not even a threat usually. Agree 100% he needs looked at again, I miss that fear when seeing him or playing as him.
-
A perk or killer just being unfun for some doesn't equal strong, or require nerfs.
-
Depending on the cheats they have, it can be hard to get the cheater caught or killed. I usually do my best to start EGC as quick as possible so the game ends soon, and point at a hook until the killer hooks me. No fun for anyone, but might as well help the killer who's actively dealing with the cheater.
-
Sounds like a skill issue.
-
Welcome to the fog, and welcome to it's sometimes awful player base, lol. You're not the first to experience or ask about this, as vets here will tell you.
If you played survivor you may encounter a few killers with their unwritten rules for survivors, but typically not, as you see that a lot more from the survivor player base. It's entitlement, nothing more.
Nothing you detailed above is wrong. Play how you want to play, and ignore these types of complaints. Sad to say that, but survivors would rather complain than get better. Typically if you're getting salt like this, you're doing something right.
-
One of the few killers I'm scared of and sweat in chase. I love barely making it to a pallet while he's using his chainsaw.
-
Just adding on at this point to show how many players are disappointed in BHVR by this news.
I was excited to come back from a break from DBD in a couple days, now I can't. I can't support BHVR and their acceptance of NFTs.
At least for once Killers and Survivors can agree on something. I hope the entire community can band together on this.
-
Depends on the situation. If I've had a fun game, gotten to do everything, and no one's hooked, I'm out.
But if I haven't and there's a guy on hook getting camped end game, I'll gladly take 2 protection hits and go down to let a teammate out. Can lead to some spicy plays too, which is always fun.
-
As a solo queue player, I love this idea and think it would add a great new dynamic to gameplay.
Only thing that sucks is SWF would turn him into a basic m1 killer with no power.
-
I haven't read the responses in the thread, but in case it hasn't been offered: Blessing a totem shouldn't remove the hex.
Bless a dull totem, blue glow. Bless a hex totem, purple glow and both killer and survivor get a perk.
Adds more decision making behind: Do I bless this totem, or cleanse it and prevent a hex and potentially noed.
-
I don't think that's a bad idea, but I'd rather blessing a totem just not remove the hex. Bless a dull totem, blue glow. Bless a hex totem, purple glow and both effects are given.
-
While I don't mind this, now as Killer you have to spend time in the match finding a hidden totem to put it on. Good luck if you have multiple hexes. And if a survivor sees you, it's useless.
The only way to avoid the issues above is to let you choose the hex spawns before the game starts. But now survivors have an extra queue to wait in. No thanks to that.
-
Never let other people's opinions on your gameplay or use of perks stop you from having fun.
If you enjoy using that build, do it. You're allowed to have fun, and it's decently strong.

Side? I am on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side.
It's a LOTR reference, don't hurt me
I actually got that one! Love LOTR.
-
So you're with neither us OR them? Then whose side are you on?
-
Okay I don't care that it doesn't fit, they need to add Jesse Pinkman to this game. I'd love that!
Give the Twins a Salamanca Twins skin and we're set lol.
-
Not sure on this but my experience is if you main one side, almost all your dailies will be for the other side.
I guess it's a way to get you to play both sides.
-
I think a lot of the mess is skewed by SWF. My feelings on playing Killer and Solo Queue Survivor are pretty similar.

Basement trapper with 50 traps on the stairs and insideous
That does sounds awful. But good luck getting out of the basement yourself lol.
-
I will say though, just doing gens and escaping is boring. Every now and then I'll go for the save just so I actually get to play the game.
Spicy is better than holding m1.
-
Sweaty is usually used by someone who got beat by better players. Ofc, DBD is unbalanced. But you hear this complaint in games that are balanced.
Forums are a place to complain usually, not have an actual conversation. People just want others to agree with them when and why they lose or even win.
Everyone wants to win, no matter how they play or what perks they use. Which is exactly why people who play "fair" complain when they lose.

Anyone better than me is a sweaty nerd.
Anyone worse than me is a potato.
Such are the rules.
This is why I love all your comments. They're so true.
-
Lol, sure.
-
Nope, I suck with everyone equally.
-
Funny that only people who DC constantly are whining about the penalty. Hm, I wonder why.
-
Usually makes endgame a lot more interesting. You feel like a hero when you can cleanse it and save the guy on hook.
-
When DC penalty was off, I had not 1 game play to completion without a DC. With DC penalty, most games go without a DC.
Plain and simple it does what it's supposed to do. Anyone who doesn't DC doesn't complain about it. It is needed.

Any idea by how much it decays?
If you have a 5 minute ban, you can turn the game off for 5 minutes and be able to play again.
Now if either of you were talking about when a 30 minute ban will decrease and be a 5 minute ban next time you DC, I have no idea. But in general I'd recommend just not DC'ing.
-
The ban decays over real world time, not in game time thankfully. That would be a nightmare.
-
The game is not balanced in its current state.
They may disagree why, but we all know it's unbalanced.
-
Take a break. I always have the most fun in DBD after I've taken a few weeks break, and at most watch DBD streamer content.
Sometimes watching DBD is more fun than playing DBD. But watching has a way of bringing you back eventually.

It just might save your life.
I have trust issues, I've been burned before.... :(

A term used for players who used the best equipment / perks and played well and won...usually used by people who think they deserve better because they don't use the meta.
Doesn't have any actual meaning. Just comes from salt.
-
Isn't it in Deathslinger's lore that the Entity makes him see Survivors as the men that killed him or whatever?
I'd imagine it's something similar to that for Spirit.
-
After all the doubt of creating a Deathslinger clone or not doing this character justice, they've really proved themselves.
I've never watched any of the movies yet I'm super excited with what they've done. Good, interesting killer with actual useful perks, all the cool animations. They outdid themselves this time.

Imagine if all of the generators were blocked until a Survivor solved the puzzle box, and then the match begins. That'd be pretty unique.
That would be awesome! I hope the other Cenobites play into his power, maybe that could be how.
For every puzzle solved, another Cenobite "corpse" spawns somewhere on the map the killer can switch between like spread out Twins. Would give him some map mobility and control without a "haha I run fast" power.
-
Well in the movies he's summoned by solving the puzzle box right?
Pinhead can't spawn in the trial until Survivors interact with the puzzle somewhere in the map.
If they don't interact with it, they can just do gens and escape. He'll be the ultimate Killer for Survivor mains. GGEZ!
-
DBD twitter posted the teaser with a bell too. All signs point to Hellraiser.
-
I think it's an original chapter and everyone is chasing their own tails. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.
-
Honestly I think it looks like a distorted Art the Clown (Terrifier).
But it obviously won't be him. Just think it looks like him.

dont take this game too serious.
the more serious you treat this game, the more upsetting it is going to become for you.
i know thats hard for some, including me btw, but once you have come to realize that this is nowhere near the competetive game many want it to be, simply due to one of the biggest core elements of DbDs design being straight up luck (also known as RNG), you can enjoy yourself with this game a lot more.
sometimes you just get a map setup that is essentially unwinnable for you; sometimes you just get extremely lucky / unlucky with a Killers power (Pig / Trapper); sometimes the Killer will end up on a map their character is extremely strong / weak at; etc. this kind of stuff just happens, so dont get too upset about it. is it unfair? yeah, absolutely. could you have done anything about it? nope. and its not gonna change either.
This is a really good one. When you realize how much RNG plays a role, you know it's much more of a party game than competitive. Sometimes your skill doesn't matter, unfortunately.
-
I love how some comments are being made at the fact you made this post. Saying "Don't care, just ignore post game chat" while they could have ignored this post.
Looks like those players you were against are in this forum post lol. Either way, Lightborn salt is always the best.
-
Dennis would have to be the Killer.
Would "The Implication" be his Killer name, or one of his perks?
-
Dating killers has a certain risk I'd rather not deal with.
Survivor would be Nancy. I don't care what she looks like in game, I know what she really looks like!
-
I've never ran DS, solo queue is still fun.
The current performance issues on console are what make it borderline unplayable.
-
For both sides, patience. Not whiffing a hit by jumping the gun too early, or getting tunnel vision in desperation for pressure.
Or not being patient in chase, and getting mindgamed and downed.
-
Finally got the nerve to try it last night. And yes, it's worse.
-
This sounds fun. But I can't imagine how broken this mode would be in terms of performance.
It's a struggle for them to have a 1v4 game work correctly now.

Hmm probably a bit unnecessary. And if the killer is right behind you, then it’s useless. Better to use Dance With Me.
You're probably right. Only reason I thought of it is the accidental drops from a 2nd story onto a killer on the bottom when unsure of where he's at. It would be very situational.
-
I like this idea in theory. But I have a feeling Spirit, Twins, and Nurse players (along with a few others) would have terrible queue times with this. They shouldn't be punished for the killer they like to play.
