I think it’s a reflection on just how unhappy survivor players are. Instead of focusing on the penalty, the devs should figure out why one portion of their player base opts out of so many games. I know 8/10 games I play are miserable and i am not a newbie.
Maybe one day we'll get a positive post from you. You read the survivor's rulebook every night before bed, huh?

I think they should be deleted. I also think each match should start with survivors injured and bowling balls tied to their feet, in an open field with nowhere to go. That’s my idea of fun!! Easy 4K and I walk away a legend.
You sound like the guy that played survivor a good bit, then played killer once at Rank 20, got an easy 4k, decided that's how it is across all ranks, and never touched killer again.
Thanks for giving evidence that all survivor mains are entitled. 👍
-
I play exclusively solo queue. This is pretty well true. Without the communication between each survivor, both sides have a legitimate chance, and the better of the 2 sides wins more often than not.
Unless you get potatoes or severely bad rng. But I personally find the chaotic nature of solo queue fun.

Why don’t you play duck hunt if you just want a mindless easy 4K game? They’ve taken out pallets, boarded up windows, redone maps, survivors are slow, and only survivor perks are anti tunneling. What honestly more do you need? Plus ds is crap now too. Maybe it’s not the game, maybe it’s your expectations?
Oh dear god, the irony...
-
I typically try not to do this tactic. But depending on map rng, hold w can sometimes be a lot better than looping trees or an insanely unsafe pallets.
-
Whatever side uses bps, usually has an awful time due to scummy tactics to take advantage of the offering and leave others with nothing.
Would much prefer seeing one cake or pudding on each bloodweb. BHVR treats them like they're worth actual money or something.
-

I know we get cakes and all but I was wondering if we also get double bp as well? This would be my first anniversary and I've only been around for one bloodhunt.
I've only played for a year, so other should correct me if I'm wrong. But I haven't seen more than 1 or 2 bloodhunts since I started.
Seems like they've replaced them with bloodpoint codes. Which are typically only active for like 2 days max anyway. So if you don't follow their twitter (which I don't have) it's a pain.
-
Any of Van's posts after he has a bad game.
-
I've played long enough, almost nothing on either side bothers me anymore.
EXCEPT: seeing Blendette with my Bond hiding all match, then watch her teabag on hatch after I get put on my last hook and see her escape. The most infuriating thing.
I personally don't mind hatch if it goes to the best survivor of the bunch, particularly if they had potato teammates. But it rarely does.
-
Cleansing strategically is the key. And it's way more fun dodging (or attempting to dodge) Plague's power than running just an M1 Killer all game.
-
Honestly I have several. Completing challenges, did I at least play well, was it a fun and close game, did I get better by throwing the game to chase the good looper / loop the good killer, did I pip?
Usually I can find some way to call each game a "win" in a sense.
-
I honestly think he's fun. He adds a bit of horror back into this game. Those elephant steps are terrifying when being chased.
-
If solo, you have to just get lucky. I managed this a couple months ago only because the other 3 survivors were swf, and they went out of their way to lead me to hatch. If not for that, I would never have gotten this achievement.
-
I agree, the penalty is great. When these lag issues are fixed I can't wait for it to turn back on to deter certain types of players.
Nothing quite like soloing 3 gens while the Feng runs the killer after the 2 man swf DC'd when one of them got downed.
-
Yeah, I feel you. I tried one game last night despite my better judgement. Played against a Huntress on Yamoaka Estate, so unless there were changes to this map on the update, nothing new here.
Game took 5 seconds to register that I stopped looting a chest. I couldn't even tell the Huntress had reversed direction at a loop until I was already on the ground.
I just took a break from DBD. Sad I have to do it again until they fix this mess.
-
Okay, at least it wasn't just me. This made me feel a lot better, thank you haha.
But now I want to break his record and see how many times in a row I can get it.
-
Solo que man here. You have the greatest counter to tinkerer without picking up the game: Eyes.
If you have headphones (this game is next to unplayable without headphones) you can still hear the killer walking / running your way.
And it's one of the few perks to make survivor scary when you know they have it.
This perk is fine.
-
I managed to 4% off a hook just as the T3 Myers hooked the last survivor on their last hook.
Hatch opened right behind the hill I had been hooked on and I just barely got out.
-
I'm big for being aware, self sufficient, and providing quick heals for teammates.
Usual it We'll Make it, Alert, Kindred, and Botany with a medkit. It's more nerve wracking without second chances and helps develop my skill rather than SB away from chases every time.
-
Well it says that it's dangerous for the survivors to leave the safety of the campfire and venture into the fog.
I assummed the Killers were in separate parts of the Fog, watching the survivors at a distance, waiting for their chance at putting those meatbags on a hook.
-
I typically go Kindred, We'll Make It, Alert, and Botany Knowledge with a Med-Kit.
Love self-sufficiency with 2-3 fast heals for myself, including fast healing for teammates to get back into the game.
Plus tracking the Killer in important moments throughout the match to help me and my teammates make good decisions.

To deal with the height thing, itd make sense to have Charles Lee Ray as the killer with chucky being part of his power, but not sure how to do it without it being some weird combination of pig/legion. Think good guy boxes around the map with a slashing chucky
I think it'd be so difficult to work him into the game honestly. BUT, maybe he can change from Doll to Human form?
Doll form would be his stealth ability to creep up on survivors, but takes a small amount of time to change to Human form and be able to attack, kinda like Wraith's invisibility?
Knowing the Entity Lore, makes sense to grant this power as he started Human but put his soul in the Doll. Not sure how it would work / balance in game, but there's a lot of interesting opportunity there.

Exclusively Solo Survivor, I only see camping when it comes to protecting a kill in the endgame, which is the strategy and makes sense. Haven't seen any issues like face camping in early game, or at all really. Maybe I'm lucky.
Not often I get "tunnelled", but when I do it's typically by a good killer who has properly identified me as the weakest looper (which helps you work on looping skills).
Tunneling isn't a problem if you can loop, and a true camper is a rare occurence mostly caused by: unsafe unhooks by dummies, mistaken pathing after an unhook, or least of all by a salty killer that couldn't catch you for multiple gens (which is WAY less prevalent than salty survivors).
-
Call me totem ted! I'll actively ignore gens to cleanse totems if the games in a good spot.
But there's nothing quite like cleansing 4, then still getting slapped by NOED in end game.
-
Not sure of what I expected as responses, but definitely not that lol. Well done.
Consider the horse dead. 😂

Uh how long ago did they say that it'll be reworked? I honestly don't remember.
Not sure when the official announcement from Peanits was, but video I'm watching about it is from August 6th. So they should be in the process of doing so.

They aren't ignored, they already have said they will be reworked.
I appreciate it, looks like I don't stay up to date enough with the developer updates. I apologize for the redundant pointless post then!
Little salty on my end and jumped the gun. I hope to see some good improvements. :) On either side I hate using those items and meta perks, and know people hate going against them. Glad to know it's being addressed.

Thanks. I'll try staying optimistic but also take breaks on bad days. I watch alot of youtube videos like sweh, not otzdarva, ohtofu, etc to try and learn new things on how to use perks effectively, and try to learn what I can when they play killer and what perks they use. Hopefully it will pay off eventually. :)
Bad games are tough to push through, but do what you can to stay positive and have fun! DBD can be so frustrating, but I hate to see players who mostly enjoy it step away.
I've learned a lot from Otz and Tofu as well, you can't go wrong there. Enjoy playing with perks, whether they're meta or not, find your playstyle. And good luck!!!

Had a game a few weeks ago, where the 2 man SWF (obvious by the names) both DC'd on first hit from the Spirit, within 30 seconds of each other.
Me and Scoops Ahoy Steve did gens while trading downs and hooks for the Spirit. After 2 hooks each she let us do gens / totems while she whacked a tree, since the match started so #########.
Last gen done, Steve runs for the exit gate, I kept pointing at the hook to give the Spirit at least a kill and more BP, but there's Spirit's sad, distorted face looking at me and she shook her head and whacked the tree again.
Was nice of them to do, but I felt bad. Found wholesomeness in a ######### match. I hated playing against Spirit before, but since that game I always think of that player and smile when I see one.
-
I get it, it can be frustrating. But use tunneling to learn how to loop effectively (something I'm still working on).
Easiest way to beat a tunneler is learning to loop well enough that they leave you, or can't catch you for 5 gens.
Easier said than done of course, but you'll simply never get better without the practice.
-
I appreciate the additional feedback everybody! Definitely improving already. Just like my survivor games I'm avoiding MOST meta perks to improve my skill (besides BBQ, simply one of the best perks. Got it in the shrine).
But as stated, if I disregard the BM from the escaping Survivors, I've had tons of fun just learning the other side of things.
Have fun everyone, see you on the forums or in-game!
-
Thank you everyone! I really appreciate the tips and feedback to utilize. I've probably watched more Scott Jund, Tru3, Zubatlel, and Otz than I've played, but mostly focused on Survivor side. I'm ready to check out those Otz Killer videos @Slashstreetboy
Everything here makes sense, and will help me infinitely over the next couple of weeks. I'm glad to have a positive experience on these forums despite the negativity I often see.
Thanks again, and wish me luck! I hope to see you guys in the fog.

While booping the snoot is a hilarious meme, I can't do it cause Pig crouch running to me is so creepy looking lol.
But honestly, booping the snoot is a high risk, low reward. If they do it and you don't wanna farm, then down and hook them! People should know not every Pig respects it, and really most of them shouldn't anyway.
-
I hate you experienced this, ruins it for everyone. Sucks worse you have to record everything to get something done about those type of matches.
Thought I had dumb teammates last night going down and hooked every 2 seconds, until I saw on Bond the Nea point to my position for the Wraith, who hooked and face camped me while gens went off.
I spectated to watch the Wraith down her, pick her up, and spin in circles as the Nea wiggled out, then finished the last gen while Wraith is just spinning wildly.
Haven't played since. So frustrating that certain players can ruin the fun for the majority of everyone else.
-
One of my first games ever a few months ago, me and team are getting destroyed by a Spirit.
Just me and and Dwight left, I'm on death hook, Dwight has finally stepped out of his lockers to touch a gen now that there's just 1 left. AFTER being grabbed out of them and hooked twice already.
Injured with no options, I run to the shack for the god pallet, just in time to see with Bond, Dwight entering the locker AGAIN.
As I'm running through the shack I point at his locker, dodge the Spirit's m1 and stun her with god pallet. Mad, she checks the locker and moris the Dwight. Gave me just enough time to find hatch.
Only time I've thrown a teammate under the bus intentionally, but was so satisfying.
-
This is literally 3/4ths of my usual build.
Provides a lot of efficiency knowing what role each other survivor is doing no matter if you're on hook, running the killer, or doing gens.
Can't tell you how many times Bond has saved me from idiots bringing the killer to my gen, or stopped me from being that idiot myself.
-
What platform are you on, where did you buy them, and what edition of the game do you have?
-
Newish player here. You shouldn't teabag the killer. I never teabag to be toxic, it's just silly and immature. But on the rare occasion a killer is merciful and lets me escape, I will give 2 SLOW crouches to the ground to say thank you. Is this how most of you killers would see it? Or is this better communicated through pointing / nodding? Want to be the least toxic survivor main I can be given the state of some of these dummies in game and on the forums lol.
-
Definitely depends. If you stay to teabag like a douche, just leave. But if you stay to strategically draw the killer farther from a hooked survivor to give your teammates a chance to make a play, or to give an extra hit or two, fair game if you take the risk.
-
Only been AFK twice myself. Both times due to passing out waiting for a match lol.
