    Rant warning.

I played several killer games and got nothing but Hawkins, Midwich and Swamp with a few Cowsheds. Rough as Oni Main. I had stressful games and got screwed bad by map rng so i took a break and tried survivor.

3 straight spirits. 1 had and ebony and tunneled, 2 slugged, 1 let me bleed out and was teaming with the Dwight who led her to me.

Out of 9 games every surv match but 2 had a DC(penalty does nothing but trap me in a 3v1 or let me bleed out on the ground lol.)

Only 7 gens were done. I did 5. The best Claudette I've met did 2.

And doing me challenges was incredibly annoying as I'd get bad luck, swamp challenge and get the previous the very next game with it no longer equipped.

Sorry for the rant lol. Seems like every Sweaty Freddy has become a Spirit main or joined Survivor.

Seriously though dbd hasn't tilted me like this since pallet vaccums existed

holy ######### bro i've had bad days but i've never copped it that bad

Trapper's my go to when I just want square games.

Bring a Trapper bag. Always. You want to be able to pick up multiple traps. Think of what you would do as a survivor and where you wouldn't want a trap to be. Put a trap there. Sometimes grass isn't always the best spot. If you can choke an area or deny one, go ahead and drop a trap. So what if it gets disarmed.

That said, put down only one trap tops before you start your patrol. It doesn't matter how well your traps are placed if they finish the generators in peace.

My Trapper uses Corrupt Intervention, Ruin, and usually two meme perks. Lately it has been Haunted Grounds and Blood Warden for those final 'traps'.

You can usually do well, but the less gen defense you have the more aggressive you need to be.

Thanks! By the way, I forgot to add that I'm kinda short on some perks, so my current build with perks I have will be Ruin, Undying, BBQ, Surge.

  • After reading this, I'm thinking that there's pretty much no bad options here.

It's only going to happen after SWF gets addressed. Either by nerfing them (how) or by buffing Solo's and Killers so that we can have an even playing field.

Also please don't nerf the one competitive Killer on Console. We don't have Blight or Nurse :(

Yeah, I was watching my brother play on his account. He got someone I recognized from Rank 1 and about halfway through I took over. Ended up with a 4K. He got called a disabled, smurfing and several other slurs including the n word. Two got banned, it was on Xbox. Two rank 2's and two rank 20's. There are groups on Xbox looking for smurf accounts to pair with to bully baby killers. It's despicable.

that's the best thing i've ever heard lmfao

Here's my list on how hard you need to try to learn their power effectively :)

  • @DapperTrapper said:

Why do you think Trapper is D tier but Ghostface is B tier? He has no mobility, in most maps he gets exposed extremely fast, the new Farm is extremely bright so he can't sneak, etc.

Look bro, I'm sorry but Trapper without good perks is just abysmal. You spend all that time setting traps for one of two situatuons: Nobody falls for them or finds them, or they all get disabled immediately. I'd love to put him higher but I physically can't. And I put Ghosty Low-B because I recognise his inherent weaknesses but he can be very good if you use perks like Third Seal or Knockout to disorganise survivors. Once played a game on Yamaoka with him where 2 people died to hook timer because they couldn't find me or their teammates. He's also got a very high fun factor so there's that, but Trapper is more frustrating than anything.

being generous with oni trickster plague

I believe that a good Oni can be an absolute nightmare for anyone with coordination anything short of a Navy Seal. He has pretty bad early games like some trap killers, bur if played right he can pressure survivors out of doing ANYTHING at all. He's low S-Tier in my heart because I love Oni and he's one of my favourites. Now I like being generous with Trickster because he's a really cool character and he can pressure people away from good loops entirely. He's also really annoying to fight, but that's less of a physical factor but more of a psychological one. And Plague is just pretty good. She's just good. People underestimate her power due to her low pickrate, but I believe she's quite good in the right hands.

    @Volcz said:

Ehhh, I don't really agree with a few placements here - mainly Oni, Trickster, Plague and Clown.

    But to each their own.

I'm sorry, but I can't describe Clown as anything but bad. I've seen some good ones but he's so easy to counter without good perks it's hilarious. But hey, Bamboozle and Pop are really good so I'll give him that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248757/dbd-killer-classes

Mostly accurate. Except I'd put blight in chaser category. His power literally lets you down someone in 6 seconds after your first hit depending on the situation.

I wanted him and Billy there specifically because his ability, like Billy's, has an incredibly fast recharge and has a focus on mobility. If I put one in a specific hybrid class it's because their powers have two specific uses that don't overpower the other. If they are in a non-hybrid class it's because one of their power's uses has a more clear use than the other :)

I am not Demo player. I adepted him easyly, after that i never touched him. I put Demo to D because he is so easy for play against him. And you have not agree with me but show respect lol. I am just saying my opinion, i dont know how i deserved this agressive.

Sorry, didn't mean to come off as being angry, but if you've put a fair bit of time into him, he can be very powerful, at high or low ranks. He doesn't deserve to be so low. If you don't know how to play him, yes, he is very easy to go against, but if you're good, you can give survivors a very bad time.

  • I can't imagine how badly you played Demo in order to put him in D-Tier, good lord.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Playing a few games at red ranks has reminded me how overpowered killers can be. Doctor and overpowered Bubba with his 1-shot that lasts forever. Before I reached the third game, it was a slugging overpowered Huntress of course. You can’t play long without seeing Huntress because she is so overpowered with an unfair advantage. At one point, one was on the hook, another was slugged, I tried to make a save before they reached death stage and she played proxy camp and got me before I could make the save. 4 gens was still up and survivors are helpless.

Killers moan about that one loss, but there is no question 4K happens too much. A coordinated SWF is the only possible way to somewhat slowdown killrushers. But most SWF don’t win either. Killers have been buffed too much and survivors nerfed too much. Way too many tracking and gen perks making it too easy for killers.

A mid-chapter buffing survivors and survivor perks like they gave tinkerer would be a refreshing change. Where is the survivor’s NOED? It doesn’t exist. Constantly nerfing survivors and buffing killers is making the game unfun.

It needs to be looked into how much killers win.

    bro ######### killers can win

  • Because Moris can counter flashlight saves and SOME perks while on death hook, meanwhile keys can completely take away a killer's pressure and efforts and denies the killer of pips or kills because of an instant escape.

Using Portals is quiet and you stay undetectable for much much longer after leaving one. Its even longer than your cooldown so you could stay undetectable the whole match in a way.

The Nightmare is actually 5'9. The female legion members are 5'5, or at least Susie is. Susie's a sophomore, and sophomores are usually 15, and the average height of a 15 year old girl is 5'4-5'5. If Joey and Frank are also sophomores then they're 5'5 or 5'6, average height of a 15 year old male is usually 5'5-5'6. But since the new killers didn't come out by the time you wrote this ill write em: Ghostface is 5'10 in the movies, in game demogorgon is about 6'8 since hes as tall as the doors and the average door height is 6'8. But in the show he's 18 ft. But before I get into the others, lets look at comparing heights. Ghostface is up to the trappers torso, and when you compare 6'3 to 5'10 the 5'10 person is up to the other persons chin. So either trapper is taller than you said or ghostface is shorter in the game. Clown and huntress are both 6'5, but in game the huntress is taller, so either the huntress is taller than you said or clown is shorter than you said. In game clown and the doc are about the same height. Huntress is slightly taller than the doc. But the shape and huntress are the same height in game (Which would make sense because Michael is taller than Doc in game), so if Michael is 6'8 so is the huntress. If Billy is actually 5'11 than I'm wrong about ghostface being 5'10 in game. Billy is a lot taller than him. I'm only 100% certain about legion, demogorgon and the ghostface.

The Demogorgon you're talking about (The 5.5 Meter One) is from D&D, the ST Demogorgon is something like 3-3.5 meters tall.

i would spend hundreds on that skin

  • Stealthing around and doing the gens before you can find anyone.

It's a perk that gives a free kill at the end of the game for minimal effort. If every other perk was as good as it any killer with 4 perks would get a 4k consistently.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2156748#Comment_2156748

You are saying survivors spent probably 2 generators worth of time finding and doing totems to prevent a perk that the killer might not even have? That sounds like a lot of value to me.

Then that means it can act as a backup and a slowdown.

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2156838#Comment_2156838

He can be oppressive in a 1v1 chase but it just takes so long to down a survivor even though there's not much counterplay. His map pressure is really bad because he's slow and he's just outclassed by Huntress and Plague.

Also, I've observed that his power is less for downs in tight loops, and more discouraging people from taking their original paths ans going to strong loops. Catching someone in the open is a death wish against a Trickster.

  • A few changes I'd make, actually. The first thing is move up Twins, as they can be very good in the right hands, since they can be in two places at once, which can work pretty well if you need to monitor the map. And the other thing is that Demo is most definitely above C. He has incredible map pressure with his portals. If you have 4 across the map in hidden spots, and a few in your back pocket to travel to and from. His anti-loop is incredible as I've found, as he can Shred through most safe windows and pallets. I would say he'd at very least be Mid-B, Mid-A at most. Doctor goes up just because... well he's Doctor. He can anti-loop, force early pallet drops, locate survivors very easily, etc.

  • @KingFrost said:

I'd swap Pig and Clown. And I'd move Legion down one. And Trickster down to C or D.

The thing about Pig is that she has no anti-loop. Against absolute potatoes, she's A tier because she has built in slowdown. But against Potatoes you're going to have a pretty easy time as most killers. But against good survivors, she has little in her kit to counter any loops. Some of the weakest anti-loop in the game, some of the weaker stealth.

Clown isn't as weak as he used to be. What he lacks in slowdown he makes in the ability to down survivors. He's kind of boring, but I'd definitely move him up a tier.

Legion isn't quite as bad as most people think, but they also have a few issues. Namely while they can injure you very fast, their add-ons are kind of 'eh', and they have more trouble downing survivors. Decent slowdown.

Trickster is decent on some loops, but with high walls it takes too much effort for a single hit.

I'd even say maybe Myers could be moved down to D tier. He's an M1 Killer with limited insta-downs and slightly faster vault speed. He also is hurt by his early game significantly. Good survivors will deny you your tier 2 for as long as possible.

Myers is very addon reliant, but with the right ones above Yellow he can be very oppressive and very good. The issue with Clown is that he is pretty easily countered, and only the very best I've seen pose a real threat. Trickster can do what you said Clown can, which is getting downs. His ability to force Survivors to force survivors out of safe loops and jungle gyms with his power is definitely very good in 1v1, but looking back he's probably not A-tier, maybe mid-B. And my brother is a Legion main at my same rank, and I've fully aware of their pressure. Legion is quite powerful in the right hands, to be fair.

  • BBQ Bubba, Haunted Grounds Spirit, Thrilling Tremors Ghostface, and Dragon's Grip on Blight are all very good. Bubba can check where most survivors are and how to use his power well, Spirit's high mobility with Haunted can cut chases short within 10 seconds of seeing someone, Ghostface can sneak up to all unblocked gens, and Blight can quickly gen back to kicked gens. The rest that you didn't mention just don't have good synergy with their own perks.

  • @GannTM said:

I'm curious as to why Trickster is A tier.

He's pretty weird, to be fair, but keep in mind he is also very close to being B Tier. He's not amazing, but played right he can be pretty oppressive.

I would only change one little thing for NOED. As soon as EGC starts the prompt comes up if NOED activates and the exposed status comes up. Being it a surprise hex perk is kinda annoying I agree, but the endgame punishment for not cleansing totems is a fair point.

Like every survivor these days are running DH, DS, Unbreakable, IW, BT, all the meta perks that don't really contribute to gen work or co-op work. As someone said before, Detective's Hunch and Small Game will make totem hunting very simple while doing gens and avoiding the killer, on SWF you can even relay info to your teammates. If it's a well co-ordinated game, the killer will get zero value out of NOED and you will even get 5k plus bloodpoints for cleansing totem. Survivors, STOP trying to nerf this game into a solo survivor experience and START working together to get out on the winning side. The point of being a survivor is being a teamplayer and contributing to the game.

I'm looking at you self-caring in the corner Blendettes with Iron Will, Lightweight, Self-care, Botany!

    ^^^ Very well put.
