It is relatively broken in a coordinated SWF
Because a SWF can basically tell each other what the Killer is doing with Object.
-
Chopping Mall Chapter when they get Frank West as a Survivor.
-
Okay, people, do you seriously not understand how powerful Demo's portals actually are?
His portals has the potential to give off some of the best map awareness of any killer ever. That is something Freddy can't do, he isn't even notified of where the Alarm Clocks are so he could patrol them like a Pig normally would.
Demo needs to have limited portals because activated portals show you where Survivors are. That's freaking powerful. Especially if you use them similar to other trap killers by using them as information for important objective locations like hex totems and gens that are almost completed (though i dont recommend Hex totems, it makes them obvious to spot unless they are already obvious to begin with)
Honestly I would just change for him to be unable to replace ACTIVE portals, but be able to replace non active ones. Because again, Active Portals are freaking powerful tools for map awareness. You just have to know when and where to use it.
I prefer his teleport to Freddy's because during the endgame, Freddy is just ######### right up. Because then he wouldn't be able to use his most powerful tool. His teleport. While Demo still can.
-
I blame the "ever-changing" meta.
If every Killer could inflict exhaustion without much issue, like the others have said, there will be riots.
Imagine if Wraith, instead of Mangled or Blindess inflicted exhaustion with a surprise attack?
Or Trapper's traps inflict exhaustion when a Survivor successfully untraps themselves?
Hell, imagine if Freddy had Exhaustion Add-ons for Snares or Pallets, he would be actually broken rather than well balanced.
Point is, the ability to cause exhaustion can be game changing because most survivora always has one Exhaustion perk. Because it has zero risk but all of the rewards if you know how to use it.
Its not a gamble like Blindness where its usefulness is gimped.
Exhaustion add-ons can make the game relatively easy.
-
I would rather use Franklins, Survivors loves going back for their item making them easy to waste time with.

Hey at least they remain next to a gen. Seen others that will run away from their team mates and run all the way to the other side of the map, just to self care.
Its still dumb how they insist on Selfcaring when I am practically begging to heal them.
-
Everytime I see someone using Self Care as a Solo Survivor, it makes me feel like I am obligated to tie them up and strap them onto a generator while the Killer comes and grab them.
The amount of times I've seen Claudettes especially Self Care RIGHT NEXT TO ME WHILE I WAS DOING A GENERATOR AND INSISTS OF JUST SELF CARING WHEN I AM RIGHT THERE IS TOO MUCH TO COUNT.

Every single map from Coldwind Farm, that whole map is just cursed for me as both Survivor and Killer.

i feel like reworking red moss to make it a shred related addon would make a lot of sense, one ultra for portals, one for shred
Anything would be better than the current ones Demo has right now.

Small Game - 5/10/15% Totem Cleansing Speed Increase.
Territorial Imperative - Survivors exiting the Basement will now show the killer their Aura for 5/10/15 seconds. The perk has a 60/50/40 second cooldown.
Overcharge - The skillcheck will no longer be able to complete telepathically.
Hangman's Trick - Aura Reading Increased by 5%.
Furtive Chase - For every unhook, the killer gains the Undetectable status for 5 seconds and increasing by 5 seconds after every unhook. Maximum 10 stacks.
Pop Goes the Weasel - Can now be paired with Surge.
I have more but I need time.
Oh boi, that would make Surge and Pop the new meta.

Excuse me, Freddy's Perk descriptions (before they got removed) and other perk descriptions would like a word with you

yeah, I was actually working on "sack during the collapse" challenge, so I wanted them to open the gates, but I was still hooking them and keeping pressure on for the rest of the game.
Yeah that may be why, if the gates are open your Gatekeeper emblem takes a massive dive.

I hate corn as much as you, sadly I seem to be a corn magnet
I wish they would just add a mechanic that if you stamp on Corn it would stay down or something like that, it would make Corn Maps MUCH more bearable to play.

Then those 4 survivors do their best to annoy the next killer, who goes on to do the same to the next 4 survivors, and on and on.
Tis a vicious cycle. But I seriously doubt all 4 survivors would do that. Or care, I know I rarely care if a Killer brought a mori.
-
Miiiight rile up some people, but I usually calm down by using as much broken perks and add-ons as I possibly can.
Yeah I know, I know, these survivors didn't deserve it. But moris are a weird kind of therapy. It's kinda like letting your emotions out in a huge vent, except in video game form.

How did the David make it to rank 2? Let alone red ranks, when they think it a good idea to self care under the effects of sloppy and thana?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1332215#Comment_1332215
Heck, ghostface will sometimes get reveal through walls or killer instinct will fail to work for some reason.
Because pipping as a Survivor is easy when you play as selfishly as possible.

That’s why I said to pair it with Botany Knowledge as it can be a good counter to SB. In my experience, when I bring in a Medkit the killer brings in Franklin’s so it just feels pointless.
At the end of the day, people are free to play with whichever perks they want and I know from experience that Self-Care has been able to carry my team to victory before.
The problem isn’t with the perk, it’s with how people use it. I always prioritise doing a generator over healing myself, but there are plenty of times when I need to be healed and SC is the only viable option.
You're sacrificing two perk slots for a single use, I honestly don't think it's worth it.
-
Considering it's bannable if you constantly DC, and this probably would fall under Griefing since you're not participating in the game.
Then yes, it is.

I'm so sorry for the braincells you must have lost during that match. He brings shame to the David name- I'm gonna have to use No Mither for weeks to clear this up.
I legitimately feel sorry for my two other teammates, they were actually doing work and keeping the Killer busy.

I wish my teammates would listen and just use inner strength or bond instead :(
I would gladly buy everyone I know the ST dlc just so they stop with the damn self caring. Until I know too many people, in which case don't quote me on this.
I had a match in The Pale Rose that ended in tragedy only because a David won't stop FREAKING SELF CARING AGAINST SLOPPY BUTCHER AND THANATOPHOBIA.
I still escaped, so did the David, but he should not have escaped after sacrificing both Feng and Meg.

According to the devs during their last stats (which I agree was a while ago), self-care is the only survivor perk comparable to ruin in terms of usage. If you want to nerf self care more, be my guest.
It really is odd how SC is the only perk that is comparable to Ruin despite everyone screaming at the top of their lungs for others to STOP USING IT.

Being too altruistic i find, screws over alot of survivor teams. Seen it with green, purple and red ranks. Be it swarming the hook or gathering up when the killer is legion. That or body blocking, for a guy that got down right next to a hook. Leading to them all being injured or simply trading one hook for two.
I think the reason people are so altruistic is because Altruism is the Emblem and Point Category that rewards the most.
You can just save like 2 teammates from hooks (assuming it is done safely) and you can get Iridescent Benevolent easily.

200$? i bought dbd for 7 bucks and all the licensed dlcs with 3-4 bucks and some unlicensed dls with 3.5 bucks. Not even close to 200. You have lots and lots of websites like g2a, kinguin etc.. where you can buy games and dlc at half the price.
Wouldnt trust those sites, they tend to steal from the devs more by using stolen credit card details.

You’re right. I’m not currently rank 1 in both survivor and killer. Such a predictable and boring response to say to somebody when they don’t agree. If people jump into a locker, I just eat the DS and then they will be tunnelled after their next hook. Simple. Sat on a gen? I will down and leave them on the ground. DS isn’t as much of a problem as people seem to think. Almost every survivor I face in Rank 1 have it and I’m rarely struck with it and this will be the same for most killers that know the basics of the game.
Personally, if I know someone has DS, I'll just pick them up to give them a second chance. But that's basically it, I usually never let DS proc in my games because it's a waste of a perk slot other than the 60 seconds of immunity.

Demogorgon is completely viable. I play him all the time at rank 1 and have really good success.
Then why don't I see him more often compared to Billy?
What I am saying is, a Killer can be fun to play and people will buy it because Pyramid Head is fun.
Don't ######### on the parade of people who are happy for this.

But that's what my complaint is. The only thing carrying this is the Silent Hill name. If this were an original chapter it'd get blown out the water. And Pyramid head is no where near the level that Demogorgon is. A zoning tool is only so useful, but if you still have to play the loop with really nothing to help you other than mind games then. Demogorgon can apply map pressure with his portals by going to points of interest and using shred around most loops. Pyramid head has none of this. All he has is a gimmick that relies on the survivor being inattentive. There is no "learn how to use his power" because his power is terrible. You practically have to wait for the survivor to run into it if you really want to use it for its intended purpose. At best it's useful when you're guaranteed a hit, but that doesn't make the power inherently good, it's like a bubba chainsaw. It's a reactive power so you get no control in a chase with it and without that control you're at the mercy of survivors. He has almost no redeeming qualities to his kit and the singular one he does have requires a tedious process.
Not every killer has to be viable to be fun to play, I like playing as Demogorgon in high ranks, is he viable? Hell no.
-
Good you reported them, that is considered Teaming and is bannable

I don't care for exactness on the 20/80 split. But for characters like Huntress, Hillbilly, Clown, & Ace, they deserve more shard-purchaseable outfits. Potentially, they could open up some older cosmetics to become shard-purchaseable. They should also stop focusing so hard on outfits for the same few characters. Like Yui is relatively new & already has more cosmetics than Adam. They should give underplayed characters a bit of love to entice people to start playing them more, though from a business standpoint I guess you would want to give love to the most popular characters.
I think that's because they know no one plays Adam but everyone plays Yui

I don’t see what the issue is. That looks like the average red rank survivor loadout. I see those builds all the time.
Now if they burned an Ormond offering, all had DS/Unbreakable/OoO, all had keys, and were all decent loopers then I’d agree with you.
I was playing Freddy the other day with that exact loadout.
Wasn't exactly fun. Considering I was just doing a daily.

Someone already made a fan Menu Theme and Chase for her, and it's as haunting as ever combining both L4D and DBD.

I feel like this would make Deep Wound definitely more dangerous and give Legion more usage out of his add-ons, especially the ones that increases Mend timer.
I'm all for it.

Nurse.
-
Did the last generator pop? Because if the last generator popped and you killed Survivors while the exit gates are open, that might explain why your Gatekeeper is bronze.
-
Damn, I guess that means I cannot play this build anymore then if BHVR is boycotted, I'm sad now ☹️
-
I am not entirely in favour of this, mainly because damaging gens is already finnecky by itself if your connection decides to crap itself.
-
No, I don't think that would be horrifying.
I think it honestly would look really really silly.
-
Pardon me if I am speaking an unpopular opinion, but I happen to like unsafe pallets... As a Survivor.
It's one of the reasons Hawkins is one of my favourite maps to be transported to and why I groan everytime I get Crotus Prenn Asylum or Coal Tower (which I get way too much of and I am getting sick of it). Safe or Moderately safe pallets and tile loops bore me. But hey, that's my personal opinion and it's not exactly the word of law when it comes to balancing.
I just like the element of danger of knowing you're not even safe around pallets and loop tiles. That you have to always be on high alert and sweating the whole game hoping the Killer won't ever catch you. But hey, that's just me, knowing most Survivors I team up with in Rank 1, they probably would want pallets to be absurdly safe given how much salt they tend to throw at the Killer for doing their job.

Coming from the dude rocking BBQ, Nurses, NOED, and Corrupt with an iri addon, on a killer with an arguably broken insta-down ability basekit. Your build isn't any more enjoyable.
Don't you think he feels justified bringing a deck like that though when that was the team he was going up against? Though, sometimes you just want to have Killer games with the start of the offering screen to look like this:
-
Zarina - She is the altruistic type and would more than likely save my skin if given the chance.
Feng - I'm mainly looking for someone who can actively work on generators without completely arousing the Killer's suspicion, since she has access to all the perks, she would have access to Technician, and given she's a Lone Wolf type, I think she knows how to be stealthy enough to keep working on a single generator without being found by the Killer.
Meg - I would want someone who can keep the Killer busy on their tail while me and the others work to fix the generators and escape.
-
I'll just let you know that that is not the worst you will ever go against in Red Ranks.
I've seen much worse.
-
If it's a charm, I don't care either way, I'm Prestiging them all anyways.
But I hope it is bonus BP for prestiging.

The ruin nerf changed absolutely nothing.I still see waaaaay to many killer that shouldn't be at red rank.
There are still some, but they're not as prevelant as they were back then. I still wish the Skill Floor for Killers is higher for red ranks though.
