I love that everyone hating on this is a survivor main because they actually have to put brain power into chases against myers now. Apart from a few things, he takes a lot more skill now and hes going to be SUPER fun. I cant wait fir this release.

People that are fan of Myers and want him to be lore accurate will not like this rework. Currently he was actually one of the most fun killers he has most diverse add ons and playstyles well at least before map offering nerfs. What most myers player has been asking is buffs for early game making tier 1 viable not full rework. Myers before was done almost perfectly lore accurate. But now they make him boring dask killer like everyone else.

  • Remove the dash and give him exposed back. That is no Michael Myers he is not killer that runs. Ruins the whole character for me.

    lol, no.

The Vecna achievement "Hand/Eye Coordination" is way harder.

It's also achievement you can try to get every game. It takes work and can be frustating. But well I haven't even got the TWD map for two weeks now so I don't even get chance so how it's not more difficult?

I do remember hand/eye coordination being frustating but it took me 5 games when I tried it. TWD map I have gotten 3 times with no luck out of 100+ games.

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

My vote goes to left for dead. This achievement is literally impossible to complete under normal circumstances. It basically forces you to get lucky and run into a friendly killer that knows the achievement exists and decides to let you have it.

Well it is achievement you can at least try every game still. But well I admit it is difficult one for sure. I never personally was aware of it existence just got it when friendly sadako let me fix last gen. My vote still goes for the walking dead one given how impossible it is to get into that map.

Now if I would have to do left for dead again I would use Laurie perk solo survivor which let you fix gens and open exits 100% faster. I bet it would not take too many games. Now twd achievement is probably easier if you can actually get into the map.

Hey DS, I don't want to be rude, but it's "achievement" not achiement.

Well you could added something more to the discussion than that. English is not my first language.

  • @Zakon05 said:

Speaking as someone who has 100% achievement completion in this game:

Any achievement which requires going to a specific map has immediately become a frontrunner for hardest to get with the map offering rework.

I wouldn't say Don't Open Dead Inside is the hardest, but it did take me weeks and over 30 map offerings to get it. Even then, I had to ask the killer for mercy, because I only got the map twice in all of those matches with map offerings.

I disagree with people saying that Evil Incarnate is the hardest. You can try Evil Incarnate as many times as you want, as long as you keep feeding Michael blood points to get the necessary offerings.

I would say the top two hardest achievements at the moment are Outbreak Breakout, which requires opening the exit gates in RPD and escaping TWENTY TIMES. Followed by Hand-Eye Coordination, which requires you to: A) Get Vecna as your killer, B) Find the Hand or Eye of Vecna, C) Escape with it.

The Vecna one is totally, completely out of your control. You could get lucky and get it without trying, or you could legit never get it if the RNG just never lines up for you.

What would you dmsay is harder? All other map achievements I got immediatelly or within couple days. Even now to some maps offerings work with 20% chance. To the walking dead map you have maybe 2% chance with offering. Feels it's by far rarest map. Now I almost never face friendly killer so I say you were extremely lucky getting the achievement. All other achievement you can feel getting progress at least. Springtrap one I got in couple games with farming. I had 100% completion before this achievement.

  • It can be hard to schedule to play with friends. So then I play soloQ. It used to be better so in past I didn't need many friends. Most often I play duo or trio now.

SoloQ has few advantages as well you can play however you want and it's good if you just want to be alone.

  • @HeroLives said:

I wish they would bump up the bloody party streamer count. It’s my favorite offering, and sharing is caring.

They should change map offerings to gray rarity which would help greatly.

  • @4thdslip said:

This is a hilarious overexaggeration over a achievement you'll get with normal play. This isn't Evil Incarnate or Jump Scared, where you have to buy a licensed character and then interact with mechanics that are incredibly difficult to perform consistently to get a achievement, or the Huntress orbital achievement, which requires knowledge of maps, control over the hatchets, and likely also throw matches to grind it if you're not a fan of Huntress. Hell, this isn't even Hand Eye Coordination, which requires a player seperate from you to have Vecna, and for you to successfully roll a 20, attune to the item you recieve, and then not die. This is a map achievement, and map achievements come naturally.

Got evil incarnate in my second game with the michael. It's pretty easy to get when you just start with the character you are unlikely to face good survivors immediatelly.

Huntress achiement is very easy to farm just requires to throw few games for that. Most survivors unlike killers actually help you get achiements.

If jump scared is springtrap achiement that is also incredibly easy to farm got in 2 games.

The thing is with those achiement you can try to get them every game but with map achiements you might only have one chance in 100 games. If you are player who wants to keep their achiement progress at 100% this is very frustating.

  • @UnicornMedal said:

I've only gotten it once and thankfully it was against a Ghostface that just wanted to kill the two Survivors that DCed and let me and the other one go. Was lucky enough to get to the building gen first. These map challenges are all down to luck for the most part. I agree the map is incredibly rare though. I've still only gotten Freddy's once too.

Meanwhile I get freddy map like every other game. They need to bring map offerings back or make every map separate offering so there is at least that 20% chance to get map you want/need. Now there is like 1% chance when garden of joy, freddy map and other variants are tied to just single offering...

  • Play killer for years and you get numb to it eventually. But easiest way probably is not to care about the result just play and see what happens. If you get good loopers and have hard time, next game probably goes better.

  • @TicTac said:

Honestly, i think thats totally fair. You got a warning, its not like you got banned.

I quess I should just quit survivor in case I ever have emergency in future. It's really unfair one time out of hundreds/thousands matches being AFK for moment and get warning if Im ever again AFK I will be penalized.

If match lasted bit longer I would been fine in this system but killer ended it prematurely. Most suck thing my friend could saved me but asked mercy from killer instead...

  • @GeneralV said:

I don't think they should ever try to get it right, tbh. I would prefer if they just disabled it and never tried again.

Same we already have dc penalty and hook suicides removed which is more than enough. At worst they could give player who is AFK whole match dc penalty. But the system should take consideration hiw long the match was few minutes match it's really unfair to give penalty.

Meanwhile I play fortnite I can leave any match or be AFK forever without punishment.

  • @brewingtea said:

Yeah, someone who's literally AFK the entire match is definitely a weird edge-case they didn't think of. Hopefully they'll patch that soon.

Yeah and I was probably like minute or two at most AFK and did all the skill checks on hook too but unfortunately no-one managed to save me from furst hook anymore. Unluckily the killer just destroyed rest of the team.

I've seen people getting warnings from getting tunneled out too fast...

  • @RizeKagune said:

Best bet is to queue up after using the toilet not before 🚻

Yeah I was waiting at my friend lobby when he was still in match and put ready I didn't expect to take that long...

  • Most annoying thing is there is achiement tied to this map. With map offering nerfs it's almost imposible to get it in reasonable time. I have played the map just once as survivor today after 2 weeks playing every day and well ofcourse got sweaty killer who camped the main building gen. Annoying that it's only achiement Im missing. I have let myself survivors to get it. I wish they would put it as gamemode and truth is that map should not have achiement if FNAF map does not have one.

  • For Bubba I would say agitation and iron grasp

For Oni the screaming perk when you down someone

For Ghoul pain res and BBQ

I think anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 seconds is fine. You shouldn't be able to do nothing for an entire gen, or be bodyblocked for the entirety of end game collapse, thats a really annoying feeling. The idea for me making it only 10 seconds was so people know not to dc, since the wait to trigger the machanic is really fast. There can even be a universal sound effect when the killer triggers the machanic, so the survivors know when they can move again.

As for the range, some map's one way exit areas are quite long, thus the range would need to encompass the entire room so the killer would still be considered bodyblocking if they moved around inside the room. Hawkins has alot of these one way entry and exit rooms, especially downstairs with the rooms with loops and rarely only one way in to them. The killer would just stand there and trap the survivor for a really long time if this machanic doesn't happen.

Bodyblock is tool killer can use some scenarios like blocking the survivor getting out of basement to wait out bt endurance or to block survivor to prevent last second save. Sometimes camping close to hook is also valid stragedy. That's why minimium for you suggestion should be minute or two. That's not long time to wait if killer blocks you into corner.

Both things can be true. Sorry, but an item shouldn't be able to be used every chase with no drawbacks or limit.

They can be used only once... If anything med kits should be buffed.

  • @CompetitifDBD said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/453303/need-anti-bodyblock

Dude i have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say. Forums is english only, but whatever you're translating from makes no sense.

I assume what you're trying ti day is when a survivor pops the main room generator on Hawkins, the killer can block them in that spot since they can't vault the window right? Yeah thats a problem, and it has an easy fix for the devs.

    • When the killer has stood within the same 8 meter radius for 10 seconds, they lose collision
    • The collision loss can only be regained if the killer exits this 8 meter radius

How this hasn't been fixed yet is crazy, seeing as majority of bodyblocking is coming from the killers nowadays.

The timer and range should have significantly more leeway. 10s is nothing minimium should be 2 minutes.

  • I have thousands and thousands items even though I bring one to every game. I probably never run out of them even if I stopped using bp. So I use item every game it's big advantage over not using them. I wonder why people don't use them more often and even syringes and BNP:s I have huge stock ready.

Yeah I think the same. Very least they could make maps to be gray rarity. The grind could be bit easier if you could get some bloody party streamers...

I felt this way but then I started to play ghoul and win pretty much every game so now just killers have those powers agains't me sometimes. My looping has improved too after playing too much so Im having the psychic powers more often...

I myself when i play in a party its usually me and my other buddy and i dont have discord i kinda went incognito mode on social media.

So yeah i also play no comms but texting works well but not fast enough but still really well to stack perks and decide which perks

But yeah not always in a party mostly its 90% of matches i run soloq and have 53% escape rate

The thing is with survivor WR the calculation is way different, you need to escape either with hatch or gate.

Meanwhile killer u gotta get 3 kills which is (easier)

If you want chill matches don't 3-4K every easy game. Then you don't face swf as often.

  • I regularly let 2 survivors escape lowers my kill rate maybe to 65% overall. I rarely go for 4K unless survivors don't bring single cake. I don't bother to wait 3-5 gens to be fixed so 3K is most often the result. I go for 8 hook most of the time too before kills. I had one real "lose" because of that. That surpriced me when survivors managed to fix all gens when I killed first one so I opened the gate for rest and though well played.

Maybe Im just lucky getting weaker survivors Im not that good killer in the end better than most but that's easy. Though I should be in high mmr facing some seal teams. Or maybe mmr gives them to low mmr killers my brother got one after not playing killer for month...

  • I like this idea maybe shorten the time it requires to sit down in basement too especially the treacherous crows is currently useless.

  • I think it was confirmed somewhere they are not going to change his core power so it's just adjustments. We definetely don't want another skull merchant treatment. Kankeki is actually fun killer and will be much more fun to face if he is not too overpowered like now.

  • Still early to say so far my games they been at most little annoyance. Few times I have lost track of survivor but if I never would then they would super bad. Just now seems they can be used too many times so that only thing needing nerf.

I only do this if I'm currently unengaged. There's activity by the hook so I go, especially if they do it when I'm like three feet away. I never pursue the recently unhooked person though, unless they're flashlight clicking me or taunting or acting out somehow.

I do think their shouldn't be a noise notification though. I wouldn't mind a minor deterrent, especially if it helps with tunneling.

Yeah same for me I run BBQ always so most of the time I find someone else sometimes even hook and then return but I go after unhooker.

If we had killer bots this for sure would never happen.

You know we could already have them as 2vs8 we have them if other killer dc:s. They are actually pretty good unlike the survivor bots.

  • 4% was removed because giving up on hook so don't bring it back if it takes away the hook stage now you maybe could give one chance without it taking too much time.

  • I think they should changed map offerings rarity to gray and we're fine. I need more blood party streamers. Just give scratched mirror myers automatically indoor map. If we're keeping the rarity then in my opinion the chance could be 30-40% to make them worth the higher price.

  • It would been good rift skin... I really hoped some TWD things/skins in rift. Why not walker skin?

  • I hope it's just temporaly as they do not sound rick or daryl at all.

  • Seems so works normally in some of the games but other games the chase seems not to start at all until you down or hit them.

  • I think only way to get it in reasonable amount of time is farming. It's how I did and still took multiple games...

I played springtrap and skull merchant. On Springtrap my regular build consists of DMS, Pain res, bamboozle, and mind breaker. For skull merchant its corrupt, surge, blood favor, and bamboozle. I only tunnel if there is 2 to 1 gen remaining. I try to minimize my Chase 20 seconds at the most. And I only slug if I seen an opportunity to like if someone is nearby or it’s the endgame. Unfortunately I can’t show gameplay because I play on ps5 and do not have a capture card.

Sometimes you have to commit chase. If it's good looper then drop the chase but if you think you can win it in reasonable time commit. Practise mindgames. Dms and pain res should help even if you chase bit too long. You could try lethal pursuer if you're taking too long at the beginning to find survivors. But you might be just unlucky too getting strong teams.

The only reason I can see to not use them is if the cakes are on a different character... which makes me really wish they'd combine offering pools already.

To be fair, it depends on which version of the game would be chosen for a classic modifier. There are plenty of options.

Yeah could 2020-2021 dbd game mode work just before all the map reworks.

  • I was thinking something like that would really like OG game mode like now we have modifiers and 2vs8 coming every once in a while. But something like that might be very hard to do and would need some balancing as old dbd was very survivor sided with infinites and maps with 100 pallets.

  • What killer you play? I would need to see gameplay to be any help. Do you use strats like tunneling/camping?

  • Trapper was first killer I played back in 2020 when I had no idea how to play the game. After that I didn't really have main I played many different killers maybe Oni stood out most. But in my regular rotation were demodog, wraith, myers, bubba, huntress, legion, ghostface, nemesis, dredge, alien and dracula over the years. Until I came to like the ghoul I have watched the anime and just really like the killer.

  • I think it's gonna stay alive but sometimes I wonder will the game popularity decrease given all the nerfs to survivor side. You still need 4 survivors agains't one killer so if the game becomes too much in favour of one side it's not probably good for longevity.

But at least few things will always keep survivor side alive. It's nice side to take break from killer if you don't play competively. It's the only side you can play with friends apart from 2vs8 gamemode. SoloQ is bad but there are still some good matches which make you go back.

1 2 3 4 5 … 69
