Just seeing this now. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Count ❣️

Sometimes I have anxiety in lobby but then I remind myself it's game and it's not end of the world whatever happens in the match. Important is to not take the game too seriously. Accepting you lose sometimes is okay.
The biggest weakness for me playing killer is it being solo role so even I have good success I don't enjoy playing it alone. And that really can't be fixed so there is always going to be some anxiety.
-
I haven't notice that at all if there is even any scouts in matches?
-
I haven't notice it really being survivor sided. The gas tanks actually spawn basically all in same place. Sometimes far away from gens so this time it's feels to be more killer sided than before instead. It's just easy to patrol them.
Maybe overall the mode is slightly more survivor sided than main mode but this is often not even noticeable. They should add something new to the mode. It does get bit stale.
-
Not much I haven't been playing more than couple games a day or less. Maybe around 10-15 prestiges is my quess on different characters.
-
You can already abandon too once that happen. Killing the bots rise your MMR same ways as killing players that left so how it works now makes sense.
All players dc/abandon is also extremely rare unless you already won and got everyone downed or hooked.
-
I have 5500 hours and I don't think I can stop... Most my friends have quitted so it's mostly just killer for me anymore and survivor for relaxing.
2vs8 is really fun so I will always come back for it.
-
Im missing it already but maybe not available all the time as queques can become problem. Although playing while you wait featute helps. If it becomes pernament I think 1vs4 should be fine. Bp bonus ofcourse would have to be lowered maybe around 100-150% as you can't bring cake offerings.
2 weeks every 2 month instead 3 month cycle would be probably ideal for 2vs8.
-
Most of the time killer is pretty easy. Most soloQ teams are not hard to beat. But if you go for 8 hooks that's still throwing you have to be bit of tactical. Something like 5-6 hooks and one kill works well most of the time.
I am not good killer but win most games playing smart. With experience you just figure a way to win. Sometimes even the good swf:s throw their win away.
I was Oni camping my only kill and 2 survivors came to attemp rescue while Im on rage mode. 1K turned to 3K suddenly. But other games today were easy soloQ stomps for me. So killer experience can vary a lot but overall definetely not hard. Im playing on console.

it’s not 100% safe unhook. there are 2 other notifications that killers get when someone is unhooked (hud and visual cue). there shouldn’t be 3 notifications when someone gets off hook. also the loud noise is very unhealthy. it teaches new killers to always go back to the unhook which artificially increases the chances of killers instantly going back to the hook in all matches.
the removal of the loud noise notification unhook and post-unhook Elusive really should’ve came to the game.
Yeqh honestly the loud notification makes me want to go back to hook even I want to chase someone else. It's kinda hit that subsconscious instinct.

Except Oni is out of his power 5s tops in 2v8
You exaggerate... I have faced teams that knew how to heal and they kept me out of power quite while. Most my power ups I get from my own m1 when I outplay survivors on pallets anyway which I think is perfectly fair.

The thing with Billy is that against him you can at least dodge his chainsaw, like there are counter-plays against him. Which is why I absolutely love versing Billy's. Especially the ones who only M2. Just GOATs. Only M2-ing, curving, and getting insta-downs? Well played man. Those gamers get all my respect.
Oni's hits in 2v8 however, especially on bad servers, don't have much counter-play. Hence why I personally don't like versing him.
Oni has lot of counterplay but not as enjoyable as hilbilly I admit that. On my survivors games I face him rarely. If there is one nerf it should aimed to pc players they can make some insane turns that are not possible on console. But this apply to lot of other killers as well. But current Oni is really balanced on console in 2vs8.

Sure 😆

I have a better experience with Billy then with Oni probably because his instadown has reasonable limits you can actually dodge his saw cause he has turnrate limits unlike oni that can hit you from any angle
Oni instadown is ofcourse better than hillbilly as he is not going to be in power whole match not even in 2vs8. If survivors play smartly you can limit his power a lot. Hillbilly has his power available all the time.

@Hannacia said:
2v8 is already so easy for survivors. If survivors do gens killers in most cases lose. You got legion out of the game already, now you want Oni?
I can't even play 2v8 due to it being so boring for survivors now. To me it feels like killer bullying simulator.
This is getting silly.
This survivors often lose because they mess around and don't do gens. I have had many matches were Im at the start basically only one doing gens and when killers start to take control teammates may finally start doing gens and even almost half the time we still manage to win.
Oni is fine in this mode, he is made to be playable on controller too with increased turn rate. Outside of myself I don't see him that often. Nemesis is almost in every match and his buffed zombies are pretty annoying.
-
That's completely fine, me (Oni) and one wesker had fight who mories the last one and he stayed slugged for quite some time... The game didn't let me mori, I had the bug being unable to mori last and wesker also refused. We just kept swinging at each other for few minutes.
Then in the end I tried to open exit so the survivor could escape as I felt bit bad but the survivor crawled under me and I picked them up accidentally. Then Wesker just headnodded for me. 😆

Only one jeff? Full jeff main here. Glad i didn't pick a basic survivor like feng or sable to be my main lol
Did you call me out? Im feng and sable main 😆.

Yeah having more fun than in long time. They greatly improved survivor side with the flaslight class and adding the herbs back or what they are called now. I escaped 6 times a row. Killer side even it is weaker than in 1vs4 is the most fun still. Playing together with other killer is the best.
-
In 1vs4 Ghoul is my strongest. I win 90% of my games even many easy ones with him. Lately though I was on break so Im bit off now. I actually enjoy his power and don't find him that bad to play agains't. Some hits obviously are bs. Oh I get that hit through the wall...
I like the anime even though the manga is superior. So really like the character and design overall.
In 2vs8 I play most of the time Oni this gamemode clearly let him shine and you can use the power lot more often than 1vs4. He definetely is strongest for me too. But with him feels I have to sweat more and do heavy lifting for team compared playing someone like wraith.
-
It's unfun and boring for sure but still it's stragedy at the end of day to quarantee pretty much 4K. Most of the time it's just waste of time though.
I don't do it. I only slug in 2vs1 if I see the other survivor which well not really same. Im not just going to ignore survivor in front of me. But usually I hook the second last and see with BBQ where last one is or go searching if they hide in locker to prevent the aura. Many survivors even go for save in 2vs1 so usually I get many chances for 4K without slugging.

2v8 killer queues are already at 20+ mins and the survivor 2v8 bonus is only x3.50. it should be at LEAST 5x or 6x considering we can’t even bring bp offerings in 2v8. just disappointing atp, we’re in version 7 of 2v8 and the devs still try to lower incentives as if the queue times are suddenly getting shorter (spoiler: they get LONGER with each iteration).
wouldn’t be surprised if this time next year the incentives are just gone entirely since it seems that’s what the devs are trying to do every few months by decreasing the base incentives.
I think 3.50x is quite fair most matches at least for me don't even have anyone bringing cake or it's usually just one other. I bring cake to every game so usually my gain is 2x in 1vs4 games. I would support 6x though as I love bp.
-
It has been 3.5x for me when playing survivor in 2vs8. But 1vs4 bp incentive has beenreally bad.
-
No I think he is solid B tier killer. The power is pretty easy to dodge.

There is punishment for missing. You get slowed down, you lose distance, the survivor gains distance. Seems like a fair punishment to me.
Yeah and you have to hit multiple times with the power to even injure anyone. I only know this because Im only vecna player I know that exist.
-
I haven't seen even one vecna so please don't nerf him. Oh well technically I am wrong I did see 2 other vecnas. He is not that good killer just pubs stomper.
-
The og sounds were best so sad they changed them they were one of best of any survivor. Steves with scene partners were so fun sounding.

Yeah ghoul still got pretty big nerfs from how he was at the beginning. Maybe nerf some of his add ons if must to nerf something.

I'd wager most players play both sides, they simply have a preference. I think in general some people have one (or a few) bad games, get tilted, and feel the need to come online and rant about it. Play long enough and things start to bother you alot less.
Most what I see play killer as secondary role. Many play survivor in swf and then killer when playing themself so they are unlikely to understand the struggle of solo survivor.

Didn´t we have a long time a problem with the "Terminator" Bots?
Don´t get me wrong if someone wants to play PvE it should be totally possible and I often thought myself in custom games that it would be amazing to do so vs an AI Killer.
But I think many people think this would be a walk in the park. If the Killer is a bot, he will know your positions at all time. He will outplay you in all time since he can read positions and he will know which gens to defend.
On the other hand if we turn the bot down he will be most likely like the Zombies from Nemesis, completly useless most of the time and incompetent.
Just a example for a bad written "fair" Killer Bot. If you give the bot the instruction not to camp and he should stay 20m away from the hook and starts to chase a Survivor and this survivor runs into the 20m around the hook… will the bot break his own rule? Or will he abandon chase imediatly.
Another horrible Example… imagine a huntress bot which hits nearly all orbitals and snips…
The killer bots are already good in 2vs8 they are much better than the survivor bots.

Hot take: Being designed to lose 60%+ of your games feels like #########. Especially when we know the true KR is higher due to Abandon's and DC's messing with the numbers.
Yeah it's more like 70% taking those into account. SoloQ is nearly unplayable.

A short, of the top of my head, list of "reasons that killers tunnel", since about 6.1.0:
- Gen speeds
- Dead hard
- DS
- Dead hard again
- Circle of healing
- Prove thyself
- BNP
- Medkits
- Maps are too big
- Tile chaining
- Pallets are too strong
- MfT
- Survivors are playing healthy (too many health states)
- Survivors are playing injured (just doing gens)
- Distortion (can't find anyone)
Every one of these has been addressed, and each time the goal post moves again. Because tunneling itself is the problem and the cause.
why they occur
Tunneling is a base kit comeback mechanic that is always available and has no downside for using it immediately as the game starts. It is simpler to execute for the killer than it is to counter for survivors, making it highly effective.
Tunneling at 5 gens is not a response to anything. In fact, doing so makes gen speeds worse, because the killer has decided to force the game to be a race: put all of their attention on one player and leave 3 others to do gens. The match becomes a race to see if 3-4 gens are finished before the killer can get 3 hooks on the same person to eliminate them.
When it works, the killer wins.
When it doesn't work, people post like this: complaining about the flavor if the month, or defaulting to "gen speeds". Even if "doesn't work" is one match out of an entire game session.
And, clearly, the killer community does not allow BHVR to actually address this issue, so it will not get better.
Agreed carrot clearly isn't working you need stick too.

Glad to see Mikey at number 1. With those recent buffs he's so fun to play.
Poor Demo in the bottom 5. He really is one of the most power crept killers in the game. Just about everything he does is done better by other killers.
Didn't even notice I have played agains't him once he can't be 1.
-
Most are same boring killers I see every game expect Oni. Im just bored to them so I barely play anymore. Game is getting so stale at least 2vs8 comes back soon.
-
I need the walking dead map for the achievement. Last time I saw it in early august.
-
Idk maybe because killer's fun is the priority. Survivors seems to be okay with that killer queque is instant and survivor is taking some time.
-
I don't know maybe achievements and challenges but not really the experience. Tunneling funnily enough got buffed with OTR nerf...
I haven't played much after 2vs8 left and after heard all the survivor buffs were delayed. Also the bp gains are so small now that I hardly have motivation to play even. B
-
Well the mode has no mmr so you face all kind of players. But in my experience most can loop a little bit at least.
Sometimes the mode does turn off my brain at least so I can go down in seconds as so much happening. And it's easy to sneak on survivors if they focus on the other killer. That can maybe explain some of it.
I think the casuals are not focusing so hard into the games as well maybe listening music or watching videos at the same time. 2vs8 also attract newer players more. The most competive players might just stay in 1vs4.

What is your average escape rate? I want to understand why you believe the game is so “killer sided.”
I almost never lose on killer in 1vs4. I literally don't remember when I lost the last time. This was not the case 2 or 3 years ago when I had to work for wins.
SoloQ experience has gotten worser and worser over the years. I just want twd achievement and then Im probably done. Swf is only way to go.

So a few years ago on PTB, BHVR tested this new idea called "The Finisher Mori" where they had some anti-slugging (yay) with all survivors getting a basekit Unbreakable (no recovery bonus.) However, if at any time all remaining survivors were hooked or slugged, the game ended. All of them died and the last survivor downed was instantly killed with a Mori. You have No Mither and Unbreakable the actual perk to get up really fast? Doesn't matter, you're dead. Instantly.
Of course, survivors were livid. Most killers mains were like "Nah, we love this!" especially the S-Tier killers able to slug all 4 survivors before even one of them was able to get up in some cases.
Now what did BHVR do? They listened to the overwhelming negative feedback from survivor mains and scrapped it to be reworked. Later, they came back with the Finisher Mori we have today.
THIS is what they are doing now with these Anti-Slugging/Anti-Tunnel TESTS.
So anyone, especially veterans, calling BHVR insulting names or such because they didn't push this to Live, are being hypocritical. Just a year or two ago, the tables were turned.I remember most killers hated it and they were the ones complaining the most. I don't even remember survivors complaining as that was buff to them. Unbreakable basekit was really powerful. This is just another example survivors can't have anything good.

he literally is the same killer except he can now switch between his 2 modes stealthy or attacking but now he recovers from stuns and kicks stuff slightly faster
The lunge like I said is just a coup de grace lunge basekit, and he can now mori on death hook and he doesn’t even have to down them to mori them
Hmm that doesn’t sound like Chucky
Before he could mori without hooking anyone that was unique and scary. Now it's not different from mori offering.
It's definetely dash and does not fit for the character at all. Myers is suposed to be killer that stalk his victim and then surprice attack them. He is not killer that run and chases his victim. OG design understood this.
You could just add those to tier 3 (but no dash). Ability to instantly destroy pallet for example would fit him much better.
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
Either way its nice that he has allot more in his kit now, and they managed to keep scratched mirror playstyle without the shorter lunge distance. Being able to freely go back to stealth now makes him a full stealth killer for the rest of the game no matter what he brought for addons. And since he cant kill you while standing anymore with 0 hooks, the achievement is now very doable since he can get free moris from tier 3 without needing to bring a mori, and you can infinitely get tier 3. All that together is much better than just plain m1 killer with expose effects.
Not all killers has to be same. Myers was really unique before rework and just needed some buffs. Now he is chucky 2.0.

Please explain how the official stats show that every killer wins more than 50% of the time. Are you talking about the kill rate? Because that is not the same thing as win rate. The average kill rate is 60%, which means on average, the most common outcomes are 2-3K, with 2K (which is a draw for the killer) being more common than 3K. Draws are more common than wins for the average killer.
That shown to be untrue many times. Most often killer either wins 3K/4K or loses getting 0K/1K. Matches most often snowball to one side advantage. So the win rate might as well be same as kill rate 60% if not higher for killer.
-
@sinkra said:
The average kill rate is 65% (including games with a dc) and killers say "the game is the most balanced it's ever been". Completely warped mentality about what balance means in a pvp game.
Game is balanced when killer wins to be honest that is what I think when I play killer. I don't play it to lose.
-
Unfortunately humans are pack animals and can't see past their own usually. We could be capable of more but it takes real effort and thinking. Us vs them is just everywhere these days.
-
Well the system looked bit too harsh to me punishing even non-tunnelers but I haven't really looked how it worked. Personally I would wanted it to be added just to test it out myself. Are they at least adding more pallets?
-
@TheMonsterManor said:
20-30 minutes for a 5 minute gen rush is absolutely horrible and a complete waste of people's time.
Queque times got clearly much longer because play while you wait feature. Last iteration had 10-15 minutes queque times and that's basically the only new thing added.
Most players probably played survivor before when you could only wait in killer queque but now you can play survivor while you wait killer match. So that encourages way more people to play in killer queque.
When you only need 2 players to play killer and 8 players to survivor. That 2 killer players only fill 25% of needed players for survivor side in priority queque and if everyone plays in killer queque everyone would need to play 4 matches of survivor before they can play killer match. Currently it's about 2 matches so still half of the players play exclusively survivo side.
Overall priority queque is still good for most players who enjoy playing both sided. Still I think devs should try to get that down to 10-15 minutes when one survivor game would be enough. I hope they add items and herbs back for 2vs8. Maybe some new mechanic.

Dude.
Hand-Eye Coordination cannot be attempted every game, at all, especially not nowadays.
You need;
Be lucky enough to face Vecna (a Killer with an abysmal pickrate).
To get lucky and get the Eye/Hand of Vecna through RNG (hoping no one else gets them before you).
Not get tunnelled out by Vecna due to having the item and thus being able to be moried when on 2nd hook.
Escape.
Literally none of those aren't either partially or entirely luck-based.
Most people who got the achievement got it in the first couple weeks after Vecna release which, indeed, meant that facing Vecna was very likely. Nowadays he's a rare sight (and will only get more rare as more Killers are added).
Although the TWD achievement is not designed any better (skill has little to do with it, especially with the effective removal of map offerings) and is mostly luck-based, at least the achievement isn't dependant on another player.
Oh I mistook it for another achievement I did get that one easily though during vecna release. Well I say they are about same level of hard now if you start trying both just now.
But I could argue "Don't open dead inside" is still bit harder as the map was not even put as gamemode during release and vecna was very common killer for months when he was released so they were lot of chances. This at least for veteran players who want all achievement as soon a possible.
