Would be nice if they turned on a blood hunt for the weekend to make up for it, still can’t complain to much glad we have cakes to use once fixed.
You actually got 46% of what would be possible. 240% instead of 516%

Begging for compensation like this is kinda sad tbh.
that being said *i wouldn't mind a bloodhunt or an event extention...* cough cough wink wink nudge nudge.
would be real nice. devs usually come through though its not as if you can't just save the cakes either.
Yep, and you can use the cakes after the event, should be no problem to save them. I even got gruesome gateaus left on Mikey because last year I got like over a 100 of them. Like it was clear they are bugged pretty early, so I used like 3 of them from the 40 I already got before noticing. Just sad for the mass of cakes others spammed without noticing or without caring

As this is a cosmetic, they replace the head piece. The only way would be to create an alternative for every single head piece in the game, which is understandably beyond reasonable effort.
The only option in my opinion would be to make the crown a charm. But that would also mean that they have to completely rework what they have now
-
Sounds good, but as you said it jsut has that one flaw of triggering not often enough. That's why Forced Penance is not that good of a perk. Same like Fruit Ninja. It is awesome and super funny when it works, but when I tried the perk or the ninja build, I got use of it like every second or third game and maybe every 8th game it was strong because of the playstyle of the survivors. Anyway, nice idea.

Speaking of this combo. Did someone try Third Seal and Trail of Torment? Does it work?
That should work, it is a normal aura that should be blocked by third seal, same with any other addon that killers might have to apply blindness. That would be Demo, Legion, Clown, Pig, Freddy, Huntress, although I think it would probably just work well with Demo. The others blindness effects are too short or triggered in chase, and Freddy would only work well on awake survivors. Probably Legion, hit multiple people with Frenzy and break chase to kick a gen, then search with Nurses. But that would be 3 perks, probably not that strong, and Frenzy does not apply the Hex
-
I also love that they did a real event, I already gave up hope after how unsatisfying the last 2 events were. The pustular and lunar events were better in my opinion, but this event is still waaaaaaaayyy better than everything I expected. I hope they keep it like this, even if we just get one event per year.

Look im not trying to be an ahole but im actually responding to this while waiting for a lobby so i can't read it all.
But from what you're saying is that it's fine because its the average amount of playtime....but then why are so many people complaining. And keep in mind if you are on this forum chances are you play more than average, i know i do.
I would prefer if you complete reading.
If you play above average I'm wondering why you have problems to finish the rift. And there are frequently new users popping up on the forums, asking about builds and which chapter to buy and stuff. Being on forum is not an indicator or how much you play. You said it yourself, you pretty much judge others by your own standards here.
Btw people complain about everything. And like half of the complaints about rift are not about the grind but about the challenges itself, causing stupid gameplay. And that is a whole different topic. Don't pick single answers and present them as main topic, if you want to do that you would have to read all posts and count

Ok right there you admitted that you don't care how long it takes. You will spend 500 hours if the devs tell you to do so. I understand that, i don't agree but i understand. You lost me when you started talking about resident evil but the main point here is you are dedicated super fan and 200 hours is nothing to you. That's great but can you at least underhand for the average fan, people who like the game and play it often, it's still insultingly grindy?
Because most people have other ######### to do right, and besides that they also play other games. I just don't feel like the battlepass (something invented for casual players, popularised by fortnite) should be exclusively for those superfans. It should take effort to complete yeah That's the whole point but anything over 100 hours is ridiculous to ask of most people
XD of course. If in any world 5000 hours of free time would be an average, then why not?
I think you make a mistake in your assumptions, and exactly at that point what I am critizising on your approach. I am not defending it because I can manage to finish it. I am defending it because the design fits the purpose that they made it for. If 5000 hours would be the actual average, then I would say it is fine if I don't reach it. When the community is THAT active and I can't reach it, I would not care how long it takes and simply accept that I am not in that range. I played for example Starcraft 2 online for some time and noticed that competitive is totally not my way, because the APM requested there is far above what I consider being fun. I want to build and have some battles and not perfectly optimize the first 5 workers to not being rushedby 6 Zerglings and kicked out of the game. This is not what I considered fun and I could not bring the dedication to this game to play it online for ranking, accepting that I can't get all the achievements and stuff. For DBD I feel different, and a lot of players do to play 2 hours on average. That's what creates the base for the rift. It is to give dedicated players more content, not to give new players, that don't even have all characters unlocked or leveled, an ez pz bunch of extra BP. Like "log in, play your game and go prestige your next char"
I am not a dedicated super fan, I am slightly above average, that's what I'm saying all along. I can just repeat. I don't get where you get your point from. The average you are talking about should be fine with the "grind" and be able to finish the rift, because that is what the challenges are designed for. Again I can just repeat that I have actual numbers, that the design is fine for that average. If you can't handle that, then you are not the average. Period. If you have other ######### to do and play other games, fine. Go for it. But did you ever get a customer card for a shop or something? Or payback cards? Ever went to that store and said "I was here 3 months ago, I want that one for free". You need some more frequency to be entitled like that bro. I don't care if Fortnite or any other game handles that differently, BHVR explained how their intention was with that rift, and the implementation fits perfectly to it. It is not exclusively, it is just not fully achievable. You get your challenges, you get the lore, you get the BP. You just don't get all cosmetics. And your "above 100 hours" calls everyone out that just plays 50 hours. So this is not really a point, this is just your opinion, most likely because it is the value you could afford.
And I hope, when you say "You lost me" that you still read what I write, or we can simply stop the discussion. And my guess is exactly that, because you are again not interested in the actual numbers, you again ignore my comment on "average" and simply redefine the "average fan" for your purpose and you didn't respond to my statement that you request to remove content for all players, because it doesn't fit your playing habits

I didn't say you had no life, i literally said you can spend your time however you want. I even used Paulie as a reference and most of his time according to him is spent playing. That's fine, that's what makes him happy. But i mean just you would get defensive out of nowhere highlights my exact problem with this, it also means you understand the problem with this. Its a massive time sink even by your very conservative estimate of 140 HOURS. Basically playing this game as a part time job but instead of money i pay them.
It's also not 2 hours a day btw. I mean we can pretend that we don't sit in lobbies for 10 minutes at a time or get into games with face campers or gen rushers and it might be 2 hours....i still doubt it. Again you need 16 500 xp games for one tier
It is not a conservative estimate, it is well calculated with an assumption that you finish the challenges within that time. Then you get half the rifts by the challenge rewards, and half of it by playtime. In addition to that, I already stated that I needed far less than the expected amount of games for level 1-3.
Again, it is a massive timesink for you. The average will say that it is right the perfect amount of timesink. Besides that, you don't pay them if you don't want to. Half of the game you can unlock with playtime. And regarding the time I played this game compared to stuff like Resident Evil, which I even play several times, then the money per time quote is massively better on DBD.
The calculation goes for exact 60 minutes per day, divided into 6 matches of perfect length. You don't get more XP when you play longer, you get less XP when you play less. 1 hour was the initial estimate from BHVR which is in a perfect world. Add queue times, spending blood points and set up builds and you get to 2 hours per day. Just check it yourself, 3 matches per hour is valid. I asked in the beginning if you want the threads where this was discussed, so far you try to decline what I say without any deeper information. Do you want some details?
And defensive out of nowhere... you used quite some subliminal phrases. If that is not in your perception, I would rethink about what you write and what the intention of your response was. Combined with the assumptions you make wihtout having clear numbers or ignoring my feedback it feels more like waving off, which makes me assume that you don't want details as you don't want to have valid counter arguments. To that point: you didn't say anything to the most important part in my opinion. It IS designed for the average, manageable for the average and you request to remove content because you don't hit the average
-
Impressive. You know that this is an own goal? Like the meme itself?

200 comes from what i have heard others say, my personal experience with the first rift which i didn't time but involved going afk as doc before the rework all night the last night just to barley make it, and everyone's favorite fog whisper Paulie Esther.
200 is absurd but what worries me is the fact that you think that 140, which is low balling it, is anywhere near ok either. I did one of fortnites battlepass and it took around 70 hours despite being longer. Of course you could also have multiple challenges selected at once and they didn't make you play 16 games (800xp per fragment X 10 / 500xp(average about of xp per game) just to get one tier....had a lot more content too.
You play this game A LOT that's cool, do what you want with your time but i think you should still understand how ridiculous the grind they ask for is. It requires playing multiple hours every single day with completing challenges ranging from mind numbing (scare 50 crows) to frustrating (hit 15 hatchet)
BUT with all this talk about the free event cosmetics lately i have a feeling that maybe you're ok with the ridiculous grind because it makes the cosmetics more rare? Just a reminder, they're all going into the shop anyway
140 hours is 70 days each 2 hours per day. That is the average playtime of the community. There are people finishing it earlier (I reached rift 70 with like 8 challenges of level 4 left and more than 2 weeks before deadline), some don't reach it in time. If this is too much for you, then you don't reach the average and are not supposed to finish the rift.
Nice that you got your own opinion and not take the words of others without thinking about it or evaluating or getting multiple POVs. Or take the time to note to get a clear idea rather than just complaining about something you don't even understand in detail.
This is not ridiculous, this is just what "THE AVERAGE" player does exactly. they decided to orientate their challenge design on the average. This is pretty simple and pretty fair. You can also do with your time what you want, but when you don't want to spend that much time, then don't request to remove content that the average player is happy with.
And I'm not just about the cosmetics and wanna feel special. I just want to have some goals beneath the everyday play, that makes me try different builds and go for something else than 4k and escapes. Nice try to say "you got no life" btw

You've always had the power to deal with teabagging. You are the killer. You move faster than them, you can hit them, and you even have a power to help you do so. If anything, it was in favour of killers for years since the guy on the hook can't just hit the killer to make it stop.
If you are good enough as killer. And if not? And if the survivor team uses their plenty tools to deny the killer even that one hook or kill? Is teabagging then an issue and the killers fault because he could not deal with it?
-
In my case it was the following:
One other guy (so not me) brought one ghastly. I received 250 bonus BP in that game.
In another match, someone bringing one ghastly, another one gruesome and me also a ghastly. I got the full bonus (base BP *4) a friend got only double BP (apparently from 3rd anniversary gateau)

"You wouldn't have enough play time to complete the pass if all the challenges could be done in one game."
I mean that's true but you also don't have enough anyway? And 1 tier takes 10 fragments, 1 fragment takes between 2 and 3 games....that's a lot more than 2 hours a day. The pass takes between 200 and 250 hours to complete, how are you ok with this?
You dont have enough anyway? It is designed for the average playtime of the community, which is 2 hours per day. And you can finish the challenges within that time, for level 1-3 I was even done faster.
Not sure how you get to 200-250 hours, I can search for the thread where we calculated that through multiple times and it should be 140 hours. And within that 140 hours you should be able to finish all 4 levels. If you are done earlier, you simply need to play more until you hit the 2 hour average for the remaining days, if you can't finish the challenges you have maybe a bit of a problem to play more than average to compensate the missing fragment rewards.
I can also link 2 threads I posted with summaries of level 2 and 3. I needed 64 games for level 2 and 72 games for level 3. You are supposed to have 84 games for level 2 or 126 games for level 3 to finish it. So yeah, Im ok with this.

We as humans know that, however in order to disallow it you need a computer to understand it, and computers do not get implied meaning.
are you talking about my second paragraph? I mean, what have computers have to do with that? It is the human behind, initiating the action, with an intention. I'm not saying "disallow tbagging". I say "dont say it is just repeatedly pressing ctrl, it has a meaning so dont soften it"

I main killer basically 100% of the time. I know what it’s like to go against toxic swfs and it can suck, but if you allow their “toxic” clicks and crouching to bother you it’s not their problem. They’re trying to bait you into a long chase to waste your time. It’s only effective if you let it be. You have full control over yourself.
I don’t think it’s something that’s worth spending time worrying about as it doesn’t actually change the outcome of the game and killers that actually get triggered by it need to take a step back and remember it’s just a game. Smacking the hooked survivor can actually change the outcome of the killer is dumb enough to do it while other survivors are alive though. Not actually hitting them is a buff not a nerf lol
It is their problem. Ever heard about cyber mobbing? You don't think this is a problem? If you see that over and over again, it is a serious issue. And that is why I wished that BHVR gave feedback about reports. Rocket League says nothing explicit, just a "Actions have been taken against a player reported by you". It is much easier to "deal with it" if you know that they get punished for it. If you are forced to think that everyone gets away with the most a*****e behaviour towards you, it will get you at one point. It has a reason why kids in school become more and more silent when they get told "you're ugly" all over again, that's not the problem of the kid getting told. Again like above: Im not saying that BHVR needs to fix the game to make that crap impossible. I say noone should ever say "it is the fault of the guy getting triggered"

These are the types of people who allow cyberbullying to happen. "It's online! Why can't people be jerks for no reason?" To these toxicity apologists, it's just a button press but to us, who know the true meaning, it's "######### you". And we're not supposed to get mad.
Thanks, one who gets it
-
This is not a nerf, most likely a bug. It is not the first time that this "feature" disappeared and reappeared in a later patch.
@Kolonite said:
Bro who actually gives a #########? People need to stop letting models twerking and clicky noises piss them off so much lol
"letting models twerking" and "clicky noises" is the 'softening' argument I hate most. Like "it is just pressing ctrl quickly". No it is not. If I type an F in chat, followed by a U and a C and so on, it is also not just some keystrokes. It has a meaning and it is intended, no matter how you rephrase it.

15 red emblems for 3 fragments...you need 10 of those for 1 tier. There are 70 tiers.
I really like the idea of the rift but i can't buy it anymore because of how bad the grind is! It sucks that they're being this greedy
And half of the challenges are designed to be done in one game. What about those? You get half of the rift progress by playtime, half by challenge rewards. If all challenges are done within one game, you don't have enough playtime yet by just finishing challenges. So what's the problem in making challenges that take more attempts? You have 3 weeks to get them done, that is one challenge per day.
Had that often enough on the forums, an average of 6 games per day, meaning roughly 2 hours per day, is sufficient to get to tier 70. You just need one tier per day

I like the challenges that push me to use characters/perks I normally don't, but the one in Tomb 4 -- Escape while using Bond, Leader, and Prove Thyself -- is just "Get Adept Dwight". It's a dumb challenge.
What I don't like are challenges that are really grindy or basically impossible. Finish 4 gens while using Dark Sense? That means I have to be there at the end of all but one generator. Unless nobody else is doing anything that's extremely unlikely.
Hook the Obsession 15 times? That's gonna take forever, and it's not really a challenge because it's not like I normally forego chances to hook a survivor.
I'm repeating myself but not everyone reads the whole thread: Got that 15 obsession hooks done in 3 games. MYC, Furtive Chase, Nemesis on Wraith with cloaked movement speed addon. Was pretty fun to be honest, I never tried that build before.
Also, why is "get Dwight adept" a dumb challenge?
-
Got the grabs within 4 games with Spirit, Prayer Beads, Ruin, Surveillance. Half of the grabs were pallet or vault grabs, they count as well, so do hook grabs or totem grabs. Bring Thrill of the Hunt as well to get the totem grabs and protect your Ruin, to keep the information flow where to go for gen grabs.
It is a level 4 master challenge, should be a challenge to get that, yeah. And making a challenge at the end of a path (not being a blocker to anything) that says "play the Huntress like she is supposed to be played" seems not like trash to me. I'm not looking forward to that challenge either as I don't really play nor like playing Huntress, but maybe I even change my mind after getting that one, because I guess I will be learning a lot of Huntress gameplay before I finish that challenge.
The 60 second challenge was way harder, for 30 seconds just bring map offerings for any indoor map (except Lerys, you need 2 floors). You don't have to follow the killer, if you just hide from him once when he approaches to a progressed gen near you, you almost have 10 seconds done already. You can even do that properly on Badham or Haddonfield. Just bring balanced landing as well to escape silently through a window when the killer approaches, and you get even more stealth time on the challenge.

@Peanits said:
It's not a matter of prioritizing newer players over older players, it's actually quite the opposite. Back then, the way event cosmetics were stored were much less secure than recent events, and it made them susceptible to loss of progress (the reason why we needed to return them to people in the first place). We originally decided to return them only to the people who had earned them in specifically to not alienate long time players who had worked for them. Despite our best efforts, there were people missing who should have received them and didn't: The data we had at the time was not robust enough to catch everyone.
So in short, some of the people who did work for and earn them didn't receive their cosmetics back, and there was nothing we can do for them. Those long time players were out of luck. The idea of not alienating long time players ended up alienating those long time players.
It's unfortunate, yes, but leaving those people behind is not an option. This is the fairest way we can handle the situation. This shouldn't be a problem for future events as the way we store rewards now is much more secure.
Just as a tip: why don't you put THAT explanation into the ingame news? The current info reads more like "we believe this is best for community" without an explanation and "legacy is something different" without deeper explanation.

Why would people have issues with Legacy clothes giving out for free? They wrote in the announcement that it would be unfair for those guys that participated since 2016. So it is ok if you just participated since 2017? Like because you didn't get the old bloodweb system? What kind of "excuse" is that? I got the bloodweb system when it only had 2 perks for ever, and not 3 or four. Why is that irrelevant and that I'm playing since 2017?
The cosmetics were a reward for participating, same with Legacy. Different measurements
-
Shall I link my summary threads from the last 2 levels? I was not locked in a challenge for days, maybe ask for help or talk in chat to explain your plans. I have like 1 or 2 challenges per level that take long, but currently I just had one single challenge that took me 11 attempts in total to get 20 gold emblems because I had the worst streak in DBD of my life. Got another 2 with 9 attempts, the rest 7 attempts at most and like 90% of the master challenges are done within 1 attempt. On average I am fine to finish all challenges within 2 hours / 6 games per day.
Many challenges are easy to get, get done just by time and once in a while or are actually a "challenge". Not sure what you guys call a boring challenge. Is it just fun for you to finish 1 challenge per game? What exactly do you expect from a challenge? Please design a good one as example.
If you try to get builds to get the challenges done quicker, it can be entertaining. Like kick 50 gens/pallets? Do Wraith with speed kick addons while cloaked. There are even builds to combine that with the auto uncloak after kicking. You are instantly in a chase after kicking the pallet with super speed. And you rampage through the pallets. Bring a Saloon offering and rush through the breakable doors. Scare crows? Bring swamp offering and rush to the main building.
Got that done in 3 games. MYC, Furtive Chase, Nemesis on Wraith with cloaked movement speed addon. Was pretty fun to be honest, I never tried that build before.

I guess to answer your post going off topic...
There were no lag issues during that game especially as I am physically connected making that brown stuff fly off a stick.
As for yelling cheating? I asked if it was cheating and why couldn't I down Ash. Bit extreme with your comment?
The DCing was due to it being early in the game and obviously something was wrong, why should I waste everyone's time?
As for eating a timeout the automated DC penalties are too small to worry about unless you constantly do so but that is another thread.
Well, you asked in forum if it was cheating, but you DCed on purpose during that game. How should I understand that? And I answered your question right with my second sentence, you even responded to that.
I once had a No Mither double team and I could not hook one of them. Once hitting space, I get blocked and can't move/look/swing for like 5 seconds, and after that I can move again. But that is an issue I faced several times now and mostly it just randomly happening once a match. That guy had that every time I tried to hook him and I tried 4 times, then finished the game letting the guy bleed out by downing him like 10 times and reported him. So you can still have a normal game, you are wasting more time of people by DCing after a single occurence and a 5 minute queue.
I got hard lagging during the latest few days as I said, mostly on new Lerys and Midwhich. And that looked like either getting teleported back to stuff I got stuck on apparently because the server didnt read my movement properly or packages lost, or like the jittering like you had it which I saw mostly on survivors. Looks a bit like post phasing with the spirit, when it seems like there are multiple survivors phasing or short teleport bursts. Hard to describe. But that happens to me and your issue looks like kindof combination of these two, as you apparently got stucj at the tree you look at. This is my guess, but can't say because you would have needed to try to just hit that Ash afterwards to see if it happens multiple times and just on him or on other survivors as well
-
You DC because of that? I got hard lagging issues recently depending on the time I play. I would at least try to play the game and see if that happens multiple times on the same survivor, rather than yelling "cheater" and eat a timeout

The items still say "4th year anniversary". Why you guess it is not the summer event? If there is a new event with new objectives, why should it be not now?

Confirmed already, starting tomorrow. No official information, but leaked "crowns" which seems to be a real event. No "event currency" in the rift, so if the crowns are real, the event will be totally standalone. Event flashlights already ingame apparently (Monto got one gifted by someone on his stream, not sure if hacked or found in a chest). They make funny sounds and spray confetti when you blind the killer with it, and they have an entity symbol as image in the cone.
So looks like something is coming, and seems to be good. We will see tomorrow

I don't think the hatch really spawns at the start of the match considering how often it just pops up right next to the last survivor at 5 gens. Do you really think both of them knew it was going to open right there at 5 gens left? That would be a weird coincidence not gonna lie. Personally I think the hatch is programmed to spawn near a client UNLESS it has become visible at 2 gens / 2 survivors, 1 gen / 3 survivors and 0 gens / 4 survivors.

I was under the assumption it was always there, and the spawning referred to it opening, because Multiple times as a killer i've found the hatch within the first minute of a game. it's hard to keep track of the other factors such as #of gens repaired when I made this assumption. Most likely I'm incorrect, which would make sense considering the video.
There was a bug once where the rainbow map could track the hatch before it "spawned". It is placed at the beginning of the map, just stays invisible until conditions are matched.

I love how everyone on PTB said that the ranged attack is too weak and now it becomes OP and easy free hits by half of the community. And nothing was changed to his basekit 😂
And the next one is "guessing game" to be a problem. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a guessing game and a mindgame? Except that mindgames are apparently good for survivors' escape plans and guessing games are not. Seems like the terms are changed depending on what topic we talk about

I like the perk too. I think it might replace Unbreakable or be a valuable alternative at least. Do you remember about the order of the perks when tested with Unbreakable? I think it should work in combination, so that Unbreakable is not wasted. Report it as a bug, I will also check and upvote. If it is not a bug, they might tell at some point.
One thing is the self recovery, the other is the Endurance effect. I think slugging is, like with Unbreakable, a conditional thing that does not always work because not every killer slugs (although the yellout on the forums is big, but I indeed think bigger than necessary, when I use Unbreakable I can barely use it). But when I read it correctly, you get the endurance effect also when healed up. So you could 99 yourself against noed and finish the heal when the killer gets close. Works against tier 3 Mikey as well or Devour Hope. Would work against chainsaws as well but that might be hard to time :) unlikely to get a chainsaw hit when standing injured
And just saying: I wouldn't blame Claudette too much from this information. In this situation, healing up pretty much gives away both of your positions, at least roughly. Also the killer is most likely patrolling the slug at some points. So I would also always wait until the slug is fully recovered before I go for it. And if you see the person get up on their own, you know about the perk, so I would never go for the heal afterwards. You see the aura, you know where you must go to get the heal, without telling the killer where you got picked up.

Spirit with new gen grab build: Ruin + Surveillance + Prayer Beads. With every phase you get a lot of information because many gens just turn white and after the phase yellow again. If you don't go for every yellow gen and switch your behaviour once they started to know what build you run, they get more comfy with "need that gen done" and stay on it. Then best thing is when you hit the obsession to start the chase and everyone sees, then phase to the gen you know is been working on. Not as easy as old Prayer Beads, but I get like 2-4 grabs on average.
Another one I recently enjoyed very much: Furtive Chase, Nemesis, Make Your Choice. Nemesis to get your obsession easily or restart when the chain breaks, hook obsession, next one to unhook becomes the new obsession and is oblivious and exposed. And the audio cue starting when you chase your obsession tells you "this guy is exposed as long as the MYC timer runs". Works best with any high mobility killer like nurse, Spirit, Hag with "always teleport" addon, wraith with cloaked speed addon, Freddy.

For your meg build, you should replace either bt or ds with cheryls perk, soul guard.
also, personally I usually run Adrenaline, Unbreakable, soulguard, and fourth is whatever I have that’s lying around, usually spinechill or ds
You cannot run Soulguard "usually", it is just one week old 🙄😆

Having no timer is a good change in my opinion, but I really feel like this would be still too less to increase the pickrate, it would still be pretty weak. But I can't think of any additional endgame related effects that are not already on other perks.

Makes sense. Adrenaline is basically the same so it’s not like it would be hard to do the same with hope.
Adrenaline only lasts 5 seconds and the speedboost does go down when you get downed. What do you mean?

Pretty stupidly easy is BBQ / Pop. Both work good alone already and are heavily annoying for survivors. Hook someone, teleport to the gen that is been working on and regress it / get into the next chase 5 seconds after the hook.
Good combos with Class Photo is either Ruin + Surveillance (all the gens spill blood and you get most likely all the information where people are on gens by white / yellow auras) or Nemesis + Dead Man's Switch (get your obsession easily and hook to get all the gens blocked on Class Photo teleport). On second build you could even run BBQ again to get into chases quickly and make sure they leave once they got what you are up to, or get an ez grab when they "hope" and just stay on the gen to save it from blocking.
Tinkerer works good on him too, actually the killer where Tinkerer is the most effective. 85% means 12 more seconds to finish and your teleport just takes 5 seconds. 2 people could finish it if they commit, but you could counter that with Discordance. Pop again makes sense too. Run it with the power recovery addons and try to not spam your power but keep it for these situations when you need it to protect the gens.
Forever Freddy is also viable and not that hardly annoying since the nerf. Thana + Sloppy + Dying Light (if you play fair, don't use Pop :P maybe Corrupt Intervention instead) And any combination of chains / ropes addons to slow down sleeping survivors. You could also combine the purple slowdown addon (the one that slows down every survivor for each sleeping survivor) with the paint brush, so that everyone starts with 8% slowdown at the beginning of the match. I like to play that one with the shroud offering to have an easier time to find the first one and with Corrupt, you also have a good chance that you down and hook your first target quickly and the first gen is not popped already because of the slowdown and the fact that they started separated (and half of them not on unblocked gens).

I think it might have been a countermeasure to people editting their gamefiles when DbD first came out and it was easy to do that, but that's outdated now. I've since heard people say that they don't want people being able to prestige and get straight back to lvl 50. If that's true, then I guess the primary reason is to unnecessarily handicap players.
Why unnecessarily? Forcing different builds/perks so that not everyone runs meta builds on new characters is a good thing in my opinion

If there were no bps caps then games could last forever, games aren’t timed so people could just continue to farm altruism, deviousness, boldness and brutality points. Putting a cap incentivizes ending the game.
I think it is about the 1.000.000 cap, and not about the 32k cap

GF chapter was worse. More bugs, more broken perks, start of queues getting worse
-
Regarding orientation I also think it is not necessary, this comes with time and is way easier than for example Lerys (where I always have a hard time finding the main room or the office). The doors in the middle are always facing each other and the clock tower is always at the same spot. This is the main orientation you can get to know which part of the building you are in (once you have seen the clock tower)
-
I think it is easy to get down, but hard to get up. In comparison, the Game has also stairs in the middle of the map. On Midschool you have only 3 spots to get on 2nd floor and they are all in the corners of the map, that causes a lot of travel time.

Sorry for the late response, but,
It's a quality of life change. It's not meant to be taken to serious scrutinizing like the major issues of balance people vehemently argue about here. Small quality of life changes, when added up as a whole over a period of time, refine the game into a better experience. Not everyone plays the exact same way. Not everyone wants to use a single character out of the many that there are, especially if you play killer because every killer offers a unique way of playing. And having access to any characters base three perks to begin with (killer or survivor) will give you a good idea of what perks you might like and the character playstyle overall, and thus allow new players to tailor towards their own playstyle instead of trying to be forced into a meta.
Edit: Also, just because big issues exist doesn't mean you can't fix the small ones. Especially considering the fact that most people here agree that this is a essentially dumb and unneeded feature.
Would be a good start to think about what its original purpose was
-
And if it is true that you "only" need the double pip and not a 4k, it seems kinda strange. To be honest, it seems fair because you need to play sweaty because of the hatch to get it, and if you double pip with a 3k it seems ok to me just regarding the hatch.
But I would also sign to requiring a 4k, especially if killer adept is reduced to single pip. But in that case I would also add that survivor adepts should pip and escape through the gate
-
But I agree that double pip is, compared to "crouch and use hatch" is kinda imbalanced as a requirement. I think both adepts should require a single pip. That would sound fair to me
-
I think 15 attempts is not really long. At least I don't expect to 4k double pip every 3-4 games. I needed like 20 attempts for the Evil Incarnate and was happy about that because I expected more attempts. But on that one it is a different situation because the build and playstyle is simply boring for everyone.
Regarding adept perks, I don't think they are that stupid to play, you play a normal killer game. Not every killer I have on level 50 has all the perks I want or need, so I wouldn't say adept perks are necessarily that hard. On red ranks against true red rank survivors it is definitely a challenge, but currently I even would say it is more likely to have some potatos in red ranks as well making it easier to double pip
-
I think it will be another killer-only chapter: Wall-E. Last one cleans the entity
-
though just talking about a single killer here, not a perk run by every killer
-
I still hear the echoes of ruin responses whistling "people actually have to learn to play and not rely on crutch perks"...
