I have a great difficulty to find my first survivor, because, very often, all the survivor are on the furthest from me, When I play, my luck is ######### low, everytime ... So, One gen is done before I found one
Yeah that can happen but again, if you bring corrupt only the gens near you arent blocked so it helps you with that as well.
I feel like im turning into a corrupt salesman at this point : D
-
Probably pretty mediocre on most killers. Only exception are those rare few where you cant realistically hold w against, who can get an easy first hit on you and who can be countered by pallets.
So the killers i can see this perk absolutely working on are
1- Blight
2-Legion
3-Wraith?
4-Sadako? and maybe Dredge?

Thing is, I don't understand how the survivor can do that quickly... Sometimes, I run after a survivor, knowing that in a generator, you have only one survivor ( thank's discordance) on a gen, but, all the generator is done so fast, when they don't even have a toolbox... Like, when I play survivor, even with the best toolbox and the best add-on, that's make so much time than when I found some gen rushing survivor, did I make something wrong ?
It takes around 80 seconds to do a gen. It takes around a min to down a decent survivor and around 20 second to find them. So realistically speaking, you should be losing 3 gens around the time you hook your first survivor.
Thats why people bring corrupt lol
-
Oh so you are the equivelant of survivors that give up on first hook.
Fair enough.
-
I think the main reason they are doing this is to end the game when the game is pretty much over and stop the last survivor from being bled for 4 minutes. Pretty sure its going to bypass everything, its just a glorified game over screen.

I see tournament players using NOED on Nurse and camping heavily in order to get a 2k.
I agree that tournament play favors survivors heavily and despite what people say you can run even a god nurse if you know what you are doing.
That being said tournament play isnt dbd, it affects less than 1 percent of the top 1 percent of players. Nurse is amazing vs most survivors with some practice and what doesnt help is that the most common response to a good nurse is giving up on hook and moving on to an easier killer.
Survivors cant play against nurse because they refuse to play against her and just whine on forums.

A lot of people switched from Boons back to self-care since they nerfed the healing speed. Most players are solo queue and, like myself, only cared about COH for the speed. Now that it's literally just self-care, we can run that and it's arguably better in most situations lol.
Also new players use it a lot.
It's not the same code as COH cuz on the graph they released COH and Self-Care had separate numbers.
Isnt safe care something like 30 and Coh around 21? Oh are you adding the time to boon a dull? In any case glad to see less Cohs for whatever reason lol
-
@Bloodwebs said:
The anti boon perk is the best thing coming to this update
I can see it being maybe useful on killers that get screwed by Coh the hardest as in hit and run crew but i think even on them its kinda bad. Lets see if Coh is getting nerfed again with the meta changes. If not, this perk might be good on twins or wraith or something.

Again, why is DBD the ONLY exception to this? It makes 0 sense. And no I didn't expect a party game. I prefer playing alone. And I know what DBD is. I've been playing since 2017. Michael was the only licensed character at that time.
Because info is purposefully limited in dbd. Its the same reason survivors dont get a chat or voice chat outside of 3rd party softwares and its the same reason stretched res was considered unfair.
Again, with more fov a nurse in fatigue can easily track a survivor when otherwise they might have lost them or at least lost a second or two to track.
Does it matter much? No not really but there are clear and not small benefits like that.

I never understood why people keep saying this
You can say she has the *highest skill floor to be decent* and i would 100% agree with that but ceiling wise there are tons of killers with higher ceiling.

This games shouldn't be so competitive where FOV is a perk.
I'm sorry that DBD didnt turn out to be the party game that you hoped. I get more of that vibe from games like Evil Dead the Game. I 100% wouldnt mind options like that in that game. On DBD though i feel like they should be perks but also justfiy the perk slot. I know they wont either buff or combine the trash perks to make them viable but they also for sure wont just give those to us as options.
Sorry

The nurse is a special case. She has the steepest learning curve and the highest skill ceiling. In every chart that the devs presented about kill rates, nurse is usually bottom tier. So nerfing her in any form would basically doom her.
My point is, that most survivors don´t take their time to learn how to play against a decent nurse and instantly dc or suicide, when they face a nurse. Which is a shame, because she breaks the mind numbing "running in circles" meta and replaces it with real mindgames.
Nurse isnt even close to having the highest ceiling lol
-
Guys there is a good argument here but FOV isnt it. You can go more restrictive if you want for some reason but giving more fov is really really good on killers that go into fatigue like nurse or blight.
Is more fov good enough to warrant a perk? I dont think so, but its not so free that you should just get it as an option.
The solution here is buffing worthless perks or combining them into ones with more worth. For example, lightborn plus shadowborn would actually be a pretty good perk while still being worse than most slowdown perks we have today imo.

Yeah I've heard people say before they'd love a Killer who could disguise as a Survivor.
What do you think about the idea of having a non-human Survivor? For instance, a fairy survivor and a different mythical creature as the Killer?
When i mentioned the fairy i meant mostly as the more grim brothers horror kind where the beauty of it is glamour and illusion and the actual beast is the most horrific disgusting thing and a mimicry of the glamoured beautiful fairy.
I think a fairy tentatively might fit in as a survivor if you give them alien enough features and make them the size of an average human though, sure.
-
Ooooh a dream based chapter? A two phase killer, on 1 phase they are a fairy. On the next they are a hideous creature with the approximate shape of that fairy. Glamour lets them disguise themself as other survivors on phase 1. They have no power for phase 2 but they move quicker/get stronger for each survivor they trick in phase 1. Subject to change, i basically just want to disguise as a survivor.
-
I think im fine with the new grind system. New players might even consider only prestiging important characters once and then leveling up the character they want to play and get tier 2-3s of those perks while leveling. And then continue prestiging other less important characters while playing their favored character. Prestiging twice also seems almost as good as prestiging thrice as well at the start since the perk pool isnt absolutely bloated.
Honestly im absolutely fine with this as is atm. Though if they nerf the ######### out of BBQ because of this i will be really sad.

Yup i was starting to think it becomes too good in combination with some perks. Glad to see it get nerfed <3

@Tiufal said:
Another "survivors shouldnt have good perks" thread. Pretty good job so far.
Oh do you consider 90% noise reduction to be bad? Your expectation of what perks should be able to do is whats wrong imo. There is strong and there is busted. Which is why its on the chopping block anyway apparently so there is that <3

I think ruin is overrated as hell. It can only be used effectively by killers who can get downs quickly or have good map traversal
Ruin is a perk that got dethroned imo. PR, DMS feels way better than ruin and despite the obvious counterplay most survivors at decent mmrs for some reason cant do something as simple as letting go of m1 for 1 second or pay attention to the game so it works perfectly. Not to mention gives decent info.
Still ruin is really good on killers that can put an immense pressure or like you said, has good map presence. Still too risky of a perk imo, i dont like using it at all.

Not helpful or constructive. Don't be a doo-doo head.
Ok here you go stand on a small hill or something and jump from there, you can do much better than 10m that way. Also helps if you slug every one at 5 gens then pick them all up so they know you are friendly and just stand there doing nothing.
-
Well yes indeed. These nerfs will indeed (hopefully) benefit all anti loop killers. Specially those like nurse, blight, twins, huntress that dont really care about sprint burst and will slap that juicy survivor ass regardless.
Thats not all though, killers like Sadako, Dredge, Wraith, Demopuppy that can travel the map quickly but dont really have great chasing potential will also benefit immensely from Dead Hard nerfs. Probably way more than above mentioned killers.
Not to mention obvious stuff like you cant use Sprint Burst to avoid Trappers Traps or Deathslingers hook or w/e. It would benefit a great many killers immensely. Lets not forget, DH is specially brutal for m1 killers.
But i think you guys are overestimating how much they will nerf Dead Hard. I dont expect to see it gone, not at all. I actually expect to see it not changed much.
IMO it needs the same treatment Coup de Grace got and needs a token system slapped on that basically says gain 1 token if you repaired the equivelant of 70% generator. Imo thats what it deserves, but its not what its going to get.
Anyway, something is coming at least which is better than the no shits the devs gave before, which is nice.

Just because something is meta, doesn't mean there's a problem with it and it needs to be nerfed. A good example of this for both sides is ruin and iron will.
Hope they surprise us with an iron will nerf anyway when they do their 40 perks
Dont really care if they nerf ruin as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Jesus i did it first try, its really not hard.
-
Twins, Huntress, Nurse.
I like anti loop for some strange reason.
-
Gen rushing isnt a thing, its what survivors should be doing in the first place.

Are really Killer mains starting to say they are entitled to have fun from the Survivors? I didnt watch the video because 18 minutes of someone ranting about DH is not my cup of tea but if someone indeed said that its... rich.
Thats literally the opposite of what was said in the vid, some people are just dumb <3

Hopefully never, she is a ton of fun : )

So personally he is fun and I definitely had the wrong impression on him. However, I don't think he's meta changing. He is very fun and a pretty good killer, honestly he's what Sadako SHOULD HAVE BEEN. He however has some flaws which don't need to be fully ironed out. For example he has the HUGE speed decline while in teleportation mode but its understandable. He should get minor buffs but when maps get balanced hopefully one day then maybe they can revisit and tweak him down.
My dude he is in PTB. This is the time to tweak him down. Why are you pushing him in the dust bin and saying we'll get to him when we get to him lol

Artist is just not rewarding to play most of the time. It doesn't how good a killer is, if people don't enjoy playing as the killer they won't get played.
It's why Twins generally don't see a lot of player even though they aren't bad. And why bad killers like Legion have always seen quite a bit of play since Legion for a lot of people is just fun.
Thing about artist is that her skill floor for actually being good is higher than nurses skill ceiling. People dont play her because its too much effort and not enough reward.
Dunno why more people dont play twins though. Despite their game play flaws like switching between them taking too long and hooking survivors not always being realistic, they are a blast to play. And insanely good at downing survivors and snowballing. Not especially hard to play as well.
-
My dude people will quite quickly realize that he is great at shutting down loops but while he does that he is way slower than survivors so all they have to do is hold w to the next loop and stay clear of nearby lockers.
Hell, even teleporting to lockers should be a distance lose for dredge unless he does it when survivors dont have vision of him or when its nightfall. You just double back as soon as you see him dissapear and he takes a big L.
He could be really good with nightfall but again its apparently bugged and we dont know what nightfall is actually supposed to look like.
So in conclusion, great vs noobs that doesnt understand how the killer works and try to loop him. Pretty meh vs decent survivors but still kinda ok as he currently is. Might be a lot better with nightfall.
-
I always get the most backward salt from people like you. Its hilarious every time.
''Why did you give her hatch???''
''Why did you let them go and not me??''
''Why did my parents leave me''
Like dude, because i wanted to, because i wanted to and to get milk.

Nah as long as I’m playing against cherry blossom + mother daughter ring spirits, nurse etc nothing can convince me to nerf dead hard.
Why would we care about convincing you? Unreasonable and entitled players exist in every game and games always change despite them, this wont be any different <3

I don't think it would be a great idea and it's probably never going to be added, but what would happen to the game if after a game of using a perk it was disabled for 3 or 4 games?
You definitely wouldn't see the same Perks every game unless it was a perfectly in sync swf.
This isn't a serious recommendation, just wanted to hear others thoughts on what it would be like.
Sounds like a great way to lose players tbh.
A better way could be randomly selected few perks of yours are buffed after every game as in they get better numbers or w/e and you get 2-3k bp per each of those buffed perks you use in game.
Punishing players vs rewarding players in an essence

Though i agree that hex perks as a whole need a rework.
Imo the only hex build that works atm is plaything, retribution, pentimento and thats because those revolve around survivors breaking the hexes rather than them staying up.

I think its playstyle is not for me but I loved playing against it !
He is in that weird shuts down loops really well but is otherwise basically an m1 killer so you can just hold w category, which is a shame.

It will bring new players (hopefully)
