Probably a bunch of meme stuff, mixed in with like 3-4 add-ons actually worth using. The Billy treatment.
"Go undetectable if you reload from a locker while having no hatchets"
"Charge your hatchet faster if someone is shining a flashlight on you"
etc

Being able to tunnel cages was outrageously strong. I would hook someone, they get saved, cage them, and then go to the cage and they were dead in under a minute. Sometimes they would literally have DS up from the first hook as I was going to put them on death hook.
His cages are amazing too. If you don't plan on camping the hook there's little reason to not use the cages. Tormenting people is relatively trivial if you are using duration add-ons, which you should be. It's easy to have a yellow duration add-on at all times.
I love using infectious on him. You get a down, cage them, and are off to the next chase seamlessly. And then you don't have to worry about getting DS'd if you find them again quickly.

Must be nice. Survivors never do that to each other in my games.
You just have to play better. Survivors only respect you if you give them a reason to fear you. Remember the baseline is reset each game. When you come out of the gates swinging, people notice. If you are slacking, you will be disrespected. It's just like anything in life.
I noticed your avatar is the trapper, you should try other more potent killers. I am given little respect on M1 killers until I prove I am a threat. Using some of the stronger killers in the game, I am shown a great amount of respect even when I play poorly.
-
I like the hatch, and I probably play around 90% killer and 10% survivor. It's annoying when people gloat about it or sit around waiting for you to watch them leave but whatever.
I usually don't waste time slugging for the 4k, in the time I could do that I could have played out half another match. I only do it if I want the last survivor that badly. It keeps the games moving, and it's always funny when you are winning so hard the team breaks down and people start killing each other for it.

I'm learning Nurse (because I'm a masochist, apparently) and for me the bugs are what makes things so frustrating. There's a big enough learning curve for her and in order to progress her perks I've had to basically play as other characters and use their BP winnings to level up Nurse.
But yeah, the bugs like "Sorry you can't blink through that part of the object so you get a prize! You lose chase and momentum and here, have some fatigue to boot!"
Don't believe the hype. Spirit or Hag are just straight up better than her at this point if you are being tryhard. Though Hag is pretty boring to play.
Spirit is like 10 times easier to play than Nurse for like 1% less power; and she doesn't have any bad maps. Nurse has a lot of bad maps, and gets cucked pretty hard by thick mist offerings.
-
Depends on what killer I am playing, or how wrecked they got. I had soooo many DCs when the penalty was off, for the most petty of reasons. People would take one look at my killer and DC.
A lot of people just suicide on first hook now, which is still better because I get credit for it; in both perks and points. Sometimes it causes a cascade of suicides since nobody wants to waste time in a 3v1 which is understandable.

The streamers that this community considers "the best" are hardly the best. I am one of the survivors you see Otz, Tofu, FunGoose, and Tru3 (etc) complain about. The whole reason I sound so Killer sided on these forums is because I play both and can safely say that Survivors are broken to ######### in this game. Like ever since looping became meta in the game, it really all went downhill from there if you ask me.
These same "Best Players" also say themself that you need reliable perks, and undying just makes hex perks more reliable that you can get value out hexes "most of the time" - not "all of the time". In addition they also agree that there is an incredible imbalance between Survivor and Killer, that Survivors are horrifically broken.
I always find it funny when people on the forums try to use streamers in their argument, like as if I havn't been in this community since the begginning lol.
I don't watch the big streamers anymore. I don't consider them the best.

Here you go, winning almost every game as perkless, add-onless clown at rank 1. This same guy went on a 350+ winstreak, switching killers every game, when using ruin undying. And you are gonna be in here telling me it's bad?

Sure you can get lucky and have these perks work well often, but when you reach the point as me. Where every team back to back is a SWF that is extremely adept at the game. Then using unreliable perks becomes NULL.
You can go watch good killer players win ~hundreds~ of games in a row while using it.
I play regularly and most SWFs are just people playing with their friends. It's only like 1 out of 20 games that I hit a full meta SWF with object of obsession.
With crossplay I almost never lose anymore. Solo Q teams get stomped almost every time. The game is very easy for seasoned killers, but very punishing for noobs currently. My favorite streamer had a 98% win ratio playing as perkless, add-onless clown.

That goes the same with Perks that rely on the Survivors completing their objective to get any real value. Coup de grace is like choosing to have only 3 perks till they finish 2 gens. Against Survivors that know what they are doing you need consisten perks that always give results throughout the game. Hex Perks, and Perks that rely on the Survivors winning their objective are not reliable enough, that's the opposite of consistent.
You are never going to be going into games and not lose a gen, it's not possible. Especially on killers like Myers, who has a weak early game already. It also gives you downs throughout the game, instead of all at once like NOED.
I have been using ruin undying for hundreds of games and I could probably still count on one hand the amount of times it's dead so fast I think to myself "that was so fast".
As for coup de grace myers; he already has an extended lunge, he gets an instadown from it instead of a basic attack, and he can snowball extremely hard. Downing 2 survivors in rapid succession can end the game easily.

Even though Ruin/Undying is useless in itself. Hex perks are completely unreliable against a competent team.
Nonsense. I think ruin / undying / discordance is almost the strongest perk combo for killers that has ever existed. The only one better was old ruin + pop. If I am playing well and ruin undying stays up for 2-3 minutes it has usually already done it's job. If you interrupt the early-game gens while getting a hook in or two it hard carries.

Well, I guess that frees up a perk slot. I still would give it a try. Maybe I’ll swap surveillance for PGTW, just to, “Slow the game down, just a little bit!”
I am still farming BP but I really want to try coup de grace on Myers. He seems like the best killer in the game for it. I believe him and Ghostface are the only ones who are gonna get full value from it.
-
I tried it a few times early on, and no not really.
If someone is on a gen I almost always see them fail the skillcheck anyways, so you typically know where to go without surveillance. If they don't fail the skillcheck it won't do anything at all for you. If a random gen is regressing across the map, it's usually not super useful to know.
You might get some random information throughout the game but it's not nearly as effective as the usual ruin / undying / surveillance wombo combo.

Pretty entitled imo. I'm not gonna play easy just because you queued to play with people and not bots. Since it's not possible then go get a kyf started and stop whining. I don't get it.
Don't play public matches and expect the opposite side to take it easy on you. They didn't queue up with the expectation that they would have to play at a lower quality so you could cope.
A lot of your posts recently are whiney as well, perhaps just get good and stop blaming the other side for you sucking dookie
Any seasoned killer player should know the survivors are going to abuse the heck out of you in most cases if you are doing terrible.
It's kind of your own fault if you are doing what I saw many twins players doing, just jumping into purple/red rank games with like 1 perk and then getting stomped. I didn't play them at all until I had a full build ready.
-
That almost looked like a Coup de grace lunge to me but I could be seeing things.
-
I will break her out from time to time, mainly to spook the console survivors.
But really I don't think there is much of a need to play her anymore. I used to play her alot because every map in DBD was pallet town.
Now the game has become pretty unsafe for survivors even if you are a basic M1 killer, let alone while using some of the new death machines like Bubba.
Only a few real pallet town maps remain. Coldwind, Haddonfield, The Game.

I like new maps, only have a couple minor gripes with autohaven.
And Ormond is no more!
I love the new Ormond aesthetically. Gameplay wise? I have seen some...ridiculously unsafe pallets to put it lightly.
Like can't use them for anything; can't just throw them for distance, can't play them even against a pure M1 killer. Almost like they are there to bait you into dying at them unless you get a miracle stun. The most unsafe pallets I have ever seen, they make Hawkins pallets look good.
The cool thing is that I have a metric ton of Ormond offerings on my killers since I would never use them.
-
I love the new Autohaven maps, and the new Ormond.
The new Autohaven maps look like a creepy, desolate scrapyard to me. Exactly the kind of place to get chased by a spooky killer.
I like the blocky textures that make everything look like they have already been run through the crusher.

I thought it was just Charlotte. That she just moved in a clunky way tricking my brain into thinking she moves slow.
But after getting pissed off with how merciless insecure survivors are being I went back to Clown and Doc, and they also feel very slow and sluggish.
Is this just me? 115 killers suddenly feel like 110 killers since the new chapter.
I noticed this as well. I actually went to go check her movespeed to confirm she was 115 and not a 110 killer. Not sure what it is, but it didn't seem to impact the chases much.
I played some Bubba and he felt fine to me, although I spent most of the chases using the chainsaw.

There's currently a bug where you can't move as Victor sometimes and you can't release Victor when you're close to a hook to combat camping I believe.
They really need to specify you can't release victor near the hooks. I was annoyed thinking it was another bug until I read about it here on the forums. I usually hook someone and then send Victor out to the nearest BBQ aura.
They also need to clarify that she doesn't have a terror radius when controlling victor. I wasted a few games using Insidious on her.
I've had Victor stuck in the ground a handful of times which is probably the worst offense.
-
I ran NOED / Blood Warden and the add-on that shows the pounce location for a handful of games until I was comfortable enough with the power to move on to other perks and add-ons.
I think my second game as Twins I had some fool clicking a flashlight and teabagging at me at like 4 gens left. But they didn't have DS because they were playing the new character so the joke was on them; as they got tunneled and camped to death.
-
BBQ tier 2 didn't give bonus bloodpoints. I was mad about it for a couple games until I upgraded to BBQ tier 3 which still works.

No, no they aren't, because the full party SWF's, or just anyone with half a brain, will travel in pairs and beat Victor's arse whether the killer lands the hit or not.
Also, still doesn't justify that a single, easy fuckup costs you not only the chase but the trial, when success is barely even rewarding because, well, there's someone there to kick you in the face and pick up their teammate.
That's every killer in DBD at high ranks. A few mistakes can cost you the game. The twins are nothing different.
The fact is that Victor is one of the strongest chasing abilities in DBD. It's not nurse or spirit level, but you are also given the potential to be in two different places at once. Victor does not get pallet looped. That instantly makes him incredibly strong.
-

Thats... That's not how it works. Doing that wastes their potential map pressure to turn them into discount Slinger. We already have Slinger. We don't need Slinger But With Two Bodies That Also Gets Massive Punishment For A Single Mistake Oh And Also The Survivor Can Just Hold W And Negate The Entire Purpose Of Sticking Together.
Even saying that title is a mouthful.
Then don't screw the pounce up? Run the brown charge speed add-on? For a borderline guaranteed hit, that goes over pallets and windows? Twins can probably get away without kicking almost any pallet in the game.
I have taken up to 5-15 seconds to make sure I land the pounce. That's still faster than almost any chase you can get in DBD as an M1 killer. You can run around a pallet for 30-45 seconds for a single hit. Victor flies around them and gets the damage in. All you can do is miss. People camp pallets and I jump over them and down them. It's hilarious. If the team doesn't heal he can slug as fast as Oni or Nurse.
They can project a good amount of map control, camping a 3 gen while interrupting gens across the map.
Once they fix how victor loses his power if the survivor goes into lockers they are going to be extremely viable into everything except 4 man meta SWFs. The twins are plenty strong for solo Q teams or mediocre SWFs.
-
Been rolling over people with this killer all day. The best combo I have noticed is extra speed + faster pounce charge.
Super strong killer. Victor cannot be avoided, anywhere. Any injured survivor is a down. Any health survivor is injured.

I did not go against many Twins on the Live Server so far (3 in total, which speaks for itself, since normally, when a new Killer is released, I go against them the whole evening), and neither of them were doing much else than camping. I only noticed the questionable Hitbox of Victor since at one point he smashed against the wall and still downed me.
His hitbox is huge. I attacked a guy juking me around a tree, totally missing, and it still downed him.
People don't give this killer enough credit. I would say she is extremely strong in the 1v1. Victor is nurse / spirit / deathslinger level of strong in terms of anti-loop. You literally cannot avoid him, all you can do is miss. Especially with his charge speed add-on.
You can still get people who go into lockers, but it bugs your power out. That's the main weakness currently.
They just requires a good amount of forethought as where you want to position both the killers as it is punishing to relocate both. Corrupt is incredible, since you can basically insidious camp 2 gens while going out to damage survivors in the meantime.
I don't think she is nearly as weak as most people claim. I have 3-4k'd the majority of my matches at rank 1 (for cred) after a few practice games.

Its honestly baffling that the Devs dont see that a Killer with built-in Insidious will lead to that. Let alone that the Twins are unfinished and even if they are finished, will most likely not be the strongest Killer to play (to say it mildly), which results in one of their only redeeming qualities (camping) being used.
From my limited experience, the twins have some of the best anti-loop available in the game. You can jump over every pallet or window as victor. Literally nothing is safe. With his speed add-ons he goes around the map ridiculously fast. All the survivors have are lockers, or you missing.
Any injured survivor is an easy down. It's up to you as the killer to make those situations happen, be it through hit-and-run victor attacks across the entire team, or using charlotte to injure people then finishing them off with victor.
-
People are really going to complain about this killer camping when you got Hag, Bubba, Trapper, Pyramid Head, Wraith, Ghostface, etc to use?
She's M1, people can just run straight out of the basement vs her like anyone else. It's only problematic with a mori, and any killer is problematic with a mori. Stealth killers are way more problematic with mori's.
She can disrupt a gen off in the distance while camping a bit. That's about it. She can't straight up deny the survivor being unhooked and in doing so killing them on first hook like many of the top tier campers can.

So during my absence I've been playing dbd and I want to talk about it.
Killer bores me because the so called swat team swf or sweat squads seem to be nonexistent. I did get one before it was a fun intense game but it resulted in a 3k and hatch escape.
It seems that console killers have poor connection and pc killers vpn. I just cant get a game where I dont get hit through a window or the killer swings at air and actually misses. This only derives from my own personal experience.
I got into leather face and blight two very fun and balance killers.
The new killer seems like a mixture between hag, deathslinger and like tier 1 myers. It's harto gauge whether her power is ok or not. I seem to be able to counter it but its confusing so I'm gonna play more games. She can camp across the map so I mean hag there. Other than that I'm gonna go with shes ok, for now. My friend seems to think shes boring but once again I'll play more.
Not enough 4 man rank 1 SWFs for me. Just destroyed the last one I got. Gg ez bb survivors lmao. Pay attention to me.
-
I'm dodging lobbies with too many items, because i'm trying to get some sweet sweet hoarder value.
In 3 games, i've gotten a feng going back for her key, a dwight going back for his medkit, and a bill looting a random chest.
Nobody has gotten the basement chest. Glorious. I can't wait till this perk actually spawns the extra chests in.
-
I can't think of what the last perk for item hoarder bubba should be. Franklin's doesn't sound too too good because it destroys Bubba's items, and the saw can make the survivors safely drop his loot.
Monitor + abuse or bamboozle to make it somewhat serious....
Hex Retribution / Hex Haunted Grounds so he is totem hoarder bubba too....
Monstrous Shrine to make the basement chest extra punishing....
Hmmmmm.........
-
Not sure. I had the same thing happen to me as Ormond as the twins. Got 7-8 hooks and a 3k, depipped because of a bronze devout.
-
This one is great. The emblem system looks to be bugged.
3k depip because I got bronze devout? It didn't count any of the hooks. 3 people died, I got like 7-8 hooks. Back to green ranks for me I guess.

Trapper has other issues that hold him back, namely his very low map pressure and aspect of luck when escaping a trap.
I'm going to say thin only one more time: Skill ceiling has NOTHING to do with how hard a killer is. It refers to how good you can get at a certain killer. And hag is a killer you have to be very big brained with if you aren't cheesing with Rusty Shackles.
I still don't agree with that. She is mechanically simple to play compared to plenty of other killers. The game itself describes her as "intermediate" difficulty.
The hardest thing you have to do with Hag is pretend you are going to take a trap and then not take it at a loop. That's it. It's not that difficult.
Other than that it's mashing control or scrollwheel fast enough to get guaranteed hits at your traps. It literally does not matter where the trap was placed at the loop if you are instantly teleporting to it. If you are super slow at taking your traps than the placement matters more but she has been one of the highest kill rate killers for an extremely long time, and it's not because all hag players are huge brain gods or something. It is because her kit is super strong and relatively easy to be successful with.
-
@Awakey said:

Trapper, Oni, and Huntress are not high skill ceiling killers.
A skill ceiling defines how good you can get at a certain killer. Hag's is almost infinite. There's always a trap you could've placed better. In some games with, say, Oni, there was nothing you could've done better. Skill ceiling has nothing to do with how hard a killer is.
"There's always a trap you could have placed better"
....that applies to Trapper as well??
Huntress could in theory be lobby hatchets up into the skybox and back down on survivors, etc.
I find Hag super easy. Where you place your traps hardly matters if you are fast enough at taking them. Any chokepoint or pallet near the 3 gen or hook will do. And if you do scrollwheel? Ridiculously easy, playing her to me is mainly up to if you have the patience to sit around camping all game.
I think rusty shackles hag is actually one of the easiest killers in the game to 4k with. No effort required at all really. With that you don't even have to be quick at taking the traps, just lay them and collect your free hits.
-
Back before his buff my mindset was "anything goes with wraith" but now it's "anything goes with clown".
I usually pop mori's on clown, even though I probably have hundreds of hours on him and am relatively accurate with his bottle tosses by now.
I really like running chase perks on him; but with chase perks then I have no gen perks and have to sweat with a heavy dose of slugging / camping / tunneling in order to win. Never play fair on clown, unless the survivors are absolute potato or you feel like losing.
-
I was gonna say use Monstrous Shrine but you are talking about survivor gameplay
-
I got 1m saved, going to grab the new killer with shards and rush for hoarder.
Not sure who my first hoarder killer is going to be though. I'm thinking Bubba for the memes.

You don't need to say something for it insinuate a thing. That's literally how the game works. Doing gens is the objective, tunneling isn't. You can still kill without tunneling, you cant escape without gens.
Tunneling is the killer doing their objective, which is, you know, killing people. Half the time people get tunneled because survivors are so used to easy BT saves that they get mad when the killer goes and just finishes off the guy who was unhooked in their face as punishment for the stupid save.
You can escape every game by bringing left behind and a key, and waiting around. No gens required, ever. Maybe your team doesn't make it, but you will. "You can't escape without gens" is a lie. People escape from my games all the time after doing literally nothing. And then they are proud of it. So I will disagree with that statement no matter what you tell me.

If you can only win by tunneling, it means you aren't that good at the game.
Now give me another way to escape a match without doing gens, I'll wait.
The hatch, which spawns in with 0 gens done. Lmao.
-
In my experience, there are way more people who BM on the survivor side than killer side. I rarely get smacked on hook, maybe after a super long chase or something that lost them the game.
When I am killer though? I will be running like enduring, they will camp a 100% safe pallet, drop it on my head, and then click / teabag at 5 gens left. And that's a daily occurrence. People HAVE to make sure you watch them get the hatch, even if you made the conscious decision to not care about slugging for the 4k.
-
Half your build, and if you miss it ggs because the obsession won't change again so you only get one chance per chase.
Also, if you are really fast on the draw, you can fire the M2 as they drop the pallet on you; damaging them during the animation lock.
I have also noticed that if you are really on point with the M2s, players will start pre-dropping every pallet. I'm all ears or brutal strength are my favorite chase perks for him.
-
I personally can't wait to play Ruin / Undying / Discordance / Surveillance / Pop / Enduring / Spirit Fury / Stridor Spirit

I'm a Rank 11 killer.
I just played for an hour and a half and every single round had at least 2 red ranks, at least 1 purple rank, and if I was lucky, someone actually near my rank. It wasn't fun at all. I've been playing for like a month. I don't even have any characters to level 50 yet.
Not to mention they always seemed so pleased as punch to have an awful killer. The constant BM was so disheartening. I wasn't playing toxic. I avoided tunneling and camping, I didn't hit on hook, I didn't do anything but try to chase them off gens. But every single time was a million flashlight clicks, exit gate teabags, pallet teabags, etc.
I seriously don't understand. I'm new. Why am I being paired with these people? It wouldn't even be that bad if they would just take the win and leave, they're determined to drag the match out and make it hurt. It's not even a learning experience at this point.
To be clear, I'm not judging them for using certain perks or anything like that. I'm a firm believer that every perk is fair. But man, I'm just so annoyed.
Sorry for the useless rant.
If I had to do it all over again in this day and age? I would probably spam Leatherface until I learned the maps. He's got great perks. Double BP almost every game, and built in anti-bully with Franklins. He has a super strong power, and is relatively easy to execute.
No matter what you can secure a kill each game; just stand in front of the hook at the endgame. Run NOED until you are well practiced with his saw.
Trapper requires too much map knowledge. Billy/huntress/nurse require a lot of mechanical skill. Wraith is too weak.
-
I don't see why you would concern yourself with playing nice when you are playing like Michael Myers or something, who is supposed to be the embodiment of evil. Or any of the other characters who are supposed to be psychotic killers / beasts serving a dark god.
People trashtalk no matter what when you win (or lose). I've gone into games perkless with a speed limiter and still got lip at the endgame screen. Your reward for playing fairly and nice in DBD is usually some Tbags at the exit gate.

For general use, probably Borrowed Time/D Strike/Dead Hard/Iron will. It gives you a bit of everything. If dead hard decides to work properly.
For solo Q? I would say fixated, sprint burst, iron will, spine chill. A strong mix of stealth and powerful chases.
For the people who have lost all faith in the game? Spine chill, left behind, windows of opportunity, iron will. Strong looping, and the ability to leave your team for dead in the most dire of situations.

if your trying to improve your probably not that good and not in red ranks so your not going to go against perfect survivors, also camping and tunneling after gens are powered is necessary to secure kills but before than not really in fact i rarely slug unless its someone who just got unhooked or if i see another survivor i think i can get.
To me the mindset of "I can't win against good survivors(not gen rush sweats your right about those) without tunneling or camping" shows that you lack confidence and probably don't have the skills to win against good survivors. The only thing i agree with you is having to slug but only if the situation is favourable for it or presents itself to you. IDK about you but i often win without even slugging some games even as basic m1 killers.
I wont say that this game is fair most of the time especially regarding gen times but a majority of games are winnable by just doing good with your chases and playing smart. if you ask me what would make this game way more fair is if the trial start up idea was put in this game that way 3 gens don't go off before you even get someone on a hook.
I still completely disagree with that, as someone who has played at rank 1 for thousands of hours and regularly is playing into the genrush sweats.
If you hit a good SWF, all gens will be done in 4-5 minutes. There was just a video on this forum demonstrating it. It's not uncommon to lose 2 gens before corrupt intervention is over, especially if you are playing someone with a weak early game like Michael Myers. If they have full meta builds, you actually cannot win as an M1 killer. It's borderline impossible. The loops are too safe, the gens are done too fast, there's too many second chance perks, object of obsession callouts are too strong. I bring a Mori into those games almost every time if I recognize the SWF.
I literally just came out of a game like that, sent to Ormond, 2 gens done before corrupt was over, instant medkits, the works. But I had a tombstone so I still won (and depipped). And it's incredibly hard to untrain yourself from playing in a manner to beat those kinds of players. So you play like that into disorganized solo Q players as well.
