No? The killer can play however they want; they're the only person on their team, and if they get kills, it worked. Survivors that do nothing and wait for their teammates to die aren't performing their role and generally get their teammates killed through inaction. Nobody liked hatch campers and nobody will like Sole Survivors.

Agreed. I mean if theres a chance why not try? Why hide until ur the last? I always give my best chases even if I know we cant win, or that ill be camped as soon as the killer gets me. SS encourages individualism I dont really like the changes

The 75% gen repair speed boost was the original left behind effect. (or it was originally 25% but they buffed it)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PZPJBLH3OVV2/image.png

I think they added it to sole survivor because of this achievement

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/O6J3LP8WWIBQ/image.png

(yes i have it, i was really excited when i got this)

Also it doesn't kill wake up because sole survivor doesn't work if there are other players still alive. You could combine both however.

I think it's a cool perk now. If a survivor has it in a hatch closed scenario they are much more likely to escape.

Fair enough. But once the killer closes the hatch there is no point in the gen repair boost. (Btw I also have that achievement from 2017 I think lol I played only on xbox then)

Legion Plague and Nurse are sleepers.

I enjoy playing against a good Blight I always feel rewarded for playing well around his power and the hug tech is a fun mechanic for both sides I am sad that its getting removed soon.

Pyramid Head brings in a unique atmosphere I am also a silent hill enjoyer so I love playing as him and playing against him, dodging his M2 is very fun.

Oni since he's my main I know what the Oni I am vsing can do and what he cannot do and it's always fun going against your favorite killer.

Wait, they’re removing hug tech? Thats awful. They should at least rework the collision on trees then, cause sometimes slaming onto trees u dont bump u just slide. Makes no sense

I don't mind facing Nurse, I'm just tired of them.

I enjoy facing GF, Hag, Dredge, Artist and Billy.

I hate facing Bubba, Freddy, Trickster and Doctor. Not because I don't like their mechanics, but because these players are 9/10 the most toxic, obnoxious and unpleasant people to play against.

Just had a Freddy that hard facecamped, constantly hitting on hook at 5gens. Sadly a pair of Davids ran to try and trade, upon which he easily downed them and bled them out, before finding me and slugging me to death too. Clearly a very experienced player, knew exactly how to counter loop us and downed us all within 10 seconds of the chase starting.

This was in a game with 5 flans and on a pretty decent killer map.

Postgame: 'ggez u don't deserve BP' 'survivor players r all scum' 'stompin nubs all day, derank all night so fun'.

I checked his hours - 3900ish. He must have AFKed dozens of matches to get down to our MMR.

Damn bro that sucks. But unfortunately it happens a lot. Dont mind the endgame chat, there’s no honor in winning that way so jokes on them

  • I’d like Mother Miranda from Village tbh. Her aesthetics fit DBD quite well just dont know how theyd add her powers in the game tho.

also, maybe Marguerite or Jack Baker they’d be a fun addition

Oooh thats juicy bro. A licker would be nice man. But I think they’re gonna bring someone from the big leagues u know? Like Mr X or Mutated Birkin. but ur licker idea is awesome

Camping and tunneling exist because of the differences between the speed of the objectives. 5 gens are way faster to complete than 12 hooks.

The game has had so manny audio bugs that even using a Headset is useless. Surfaces lose footsteps noises, chase music for killers is super loud and some chase musics are just obnoxiously bad. Iron Will is Meta and counters anything thrown at it. How can you tell me to just use a headset. Survivors who are slugged can still have the no sound bug, to this day and it's been nearly 2 years since that started happening... what good is a headset if there's no audio at all?

Yeah no one will use Lightweight because they are morrons who just follow the Meta religiously because it's EASY to use the STRONG META. Lucky Break is insanely strong so it's basicly a miracle that barely anyone uses it.

do u actually play this game?? Do u actually expect to get 12 hooks every game? Or do u forget ur playing against other 4 people who also want to win?

I use a headset and I can always find survs by sound if I cant follow scratch marks. Also blood stains??? Besides, iron will is not gonna be a thing anymore so u cant even complain about it.

no one uses lucky break because scratch marks are not that important. I think u are just too dependent on them.

Also, the meta is meta for a reason. No Lucky Break or Lightweight would ever have the same value as the current DH, for exemple.

Without any excuse? there's plenty of excuse to tunnel. There is literally no positives to going for multiple people meanwhile every positive to just tunnel. It's practically the only way to win since going for multi hooks just wastes time and gets you no where.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3024047#Comment_3024047

It's literally a better version of DS.

There's no risk of getting slugged like with DS, you can literally body block for free, AND if someone heals you, you can literally tank 2 free hits. It's better than DS in every way.

What? No it isn’t. Its just like BT but for longer and thats all.

Also, endurance doesn’t work like that. U cant tank 2 hits. The Deep Wound status effect puts u automatically in the injured state. So being healed beforehand is useless.

  • Ghostface should never be revealed by survs on hook or dying state.

Increased mobility in any way for him and Myers. Also, Myers takes too long to reach his tier 3, maybe erase tier 1 all together

If you think OTR is healthy then you are off your head. It's literally a more broken version of DS. (also making killers have an even harder time to find survivors with scratch disappearing super early, will only make them want to tunnel and camp more but we'll have to see just how fast the disappearing is tbf)

Otr means nothing bro. What u gon do? Tunnel a surv for 80 seconds? And theyre just gonna do nothing the whole 80 secs? how is any of these scenarios effective for anyone?

  • @lemonsway said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3023743#Comment_3023743

Only actual buffs? Yeah cause Base Kit BT is bad AF for you guys right!? 10 more seconds to do a gen? that's Less than 1 minute total added time individually, now start stacking multiple survivors, start adding Prove Thyself and those 50 seconds are basicly gone. What does it matter if killers can kick for 2.5% now? You can still reapply charges faster than the regression rate after the kick, killers still need regression perks anyway. You're gonna lose a match because of 50 seconds? You might but as long as Maps stay as they are, you have all the safety you could ask for. Early game is still just as bad for killer as it has always been. Corrupt got nerfed hard to where putting 1 survivor down immediatly breaks the perk, so you might aswell just give the killer the easy down to get rid of the perk and if the killer doesn't down you and just injures you then that's not an issue he can't down you or all 4 survivors benefit. Plus you can heal super fast anyway should you chose to do so. So what good is Corrupt now? Ruin got it's value gutted and is still a Hex, Pop got nerfed too, scourge hook got nerfed too...ONly Jolt got an actual buff by removing cooldown however the frequency of downing 2 or more survivors quickly is very low, meaning that even without a cooldown you're still gonna get the same value from Jolt. OVercharge only works if you don't just gen tap which you can do midchase anyway so Overcharge is not even a question...

Regarding Pharmacy you have to waste more time searching for chests and oppening them and healing even with fast heals, meaning you're spending more time healing than progressing the game. The longer the game goes the better for killer so while getting good medkits is strong you're giving up quick match progression for the sake of healing. NO DOUBT THAT IN THE HANDS OF SWF it will be busted but Off the Record in the hands of an SWF, or 1 or more SoloQ's, means you absolutly don't need to heal at all which is way way worse than wasting time healing. Off the Record means Survivors are tunneling themselves, like they already do with BT, they love to bodyblock with BT even when the killer clearly is ignoring them but hey gotta make use of that BT.

Lightweight is problematic because of the shadow changes scratch marks and tracking in general got since November 2019. Why would they need to buff lightweight? Just to make it more attractive? Scratch marks disappearing that fast ALL THE TIME is way better than Lucky Break even tho Lucky Break is incredibly strong already and just got stronger too BTW.

You have BT no matter what, tunneling is now a very efficient way of losing games as killer...

Just a quick note on ur rant, but If face camping and tunneling weren’t a thing, basekit BT and OTR changes would never be a reality. But from low mmrs to high those happen aggressively it became a necessity at this point .

Also, if u really need scratch marks that last so long to find survs just get a headset, you’ll hear them from miles away. Lightweight even with the changes is pathetic and no one will use it still

  • Unless ur gonna camp, Insidious is trash. M&A is a waste of perk slot cause ur chainsaw is not silent and Spine Chill is really popular from new to vetaran players.

so id say neither lol camping w bubba is so cliche any team with brains will just gen rush and give u the one kill. A boring match with a boring outcome.

U should try infectious fright + bamboozle + agitation and corrupt. Its a more agressive build thats allows for quick sequential downs

Yeah I know GF can hear and knows the general direction where he'll look if you're looking at him. Though even how though you could get looked at and don't get revealed it's still sometimes hard to spot where you're being looked at it.

I hope someday they fix the reveal mechanics because, say ur the last surv, revealing him by accident kills u instantly cause hell know qhere u are. They buffed him but this mechanics sucks

  • @SkeletalElite said:

People have complained about bodyblocking with endurance for ages, just make survivors who have endurance and are injured not have collision with the killer and maybe on the side give a change to mettle of man that allows your endurance effects to retain the old behavior so if you want body block using endurance you gotta run mettle of man.

That is a good idea actually. It would give value to MoM and resolve the whining about body blocking

  • @Bardon said:

Especially considering that you can have OTR and get healed (by another survivor) without losing it - so full-health with Endurance for 80 seconds.

There is no such a thing. Going into the “deep wound” status effect automatically puts u in the injured state. So using otr while healthy is pointless pretty much

  • Well the reveal mechanics is bad all around. Especially if u go against a good SWF team cause they reveal u all the time.

one tip tho, to avoid revealing and therefore triggering the killer instinct, avoid having the GF on top center of ur screen. Looking up helps, if u hear the reveal sound turn ur camera the opposite way. But be careful cause as soon as the GF hears the reveal he gets a visual q of the general direction u are.

We don't know if new dead hard's endurance will be like mettle of man's

We do tho. MoM does not grant endurance, it ignores a hit that would otherwise put u in the dying state. Thats why u dont have to mend afterwards.

new dead hard grants endurance status effect for 1 sec. It says so in the description. Meaning u will have to mend after dead harding

No, but thats because styptic lasts like 10s, off the record lasts 80, almost a minute and a half

So? The surv is gonna follow the killer around for 80 secs? Just to bodyblock once? How is that time efficient?

80 secs is 94% progress on a gen. So if the otr surv wanna follow me around for 80 secs who am I to forbid it?

Getting healed by someone else as to not deactivate otr, so going from healthy (1), to injured, otr (2), dead hard (3), mettle of man (4), dying (5)

hahahah bro u cant proc any of those while in the deep would state. Except MoM, which requires 3 protection hits beforehand.

Also, correct me if Im wrong but if u are afflicted by deep wound u automatically go to the injured state. Have u ever seen a surv use speptic agent and then get healed to tank 3 hits with endurance?

Why does he have such a high kill rate when he's a basic attack killer. Last time they showed us the kill percentage of all killers he was second behind Pinhead, I don't understand it.

Is it because he can teleport on top of gens and use Pop and Tinkerer, what's up with that. His antiloop feels lack luster, you always have to use 2 snares at a loop to get a hit vs good survivors and sometimes you don't.

Just wondering because when I play him it feels like a m1 killer and not much else.

He is just a M1 Killer tho. Hes like sadako but with some (even if not that good) anti loop.

Not really. Its been divided opinions so far. Besides its not even out yet and ur all rilled up.

All it does is something that has been in the game for ages, thats my whole point.

  • i dont mind not showing tbh. But i would like to know how it works exactly.

because its supposed to help get more even, fair games…but the way it is rn is very inconsistent. On one lobby ill get the sweatiest swf and work my butt off to get a 2k and the very next ill get survs who dont know how to reveal my GF and get snowballed immediately.

  • I don’t usually play killers other than GhostFace and Nurse. But i love me some dredge hes so fun.

i tend to use Save the Best + Bamboozle + Pain Resonance + Dead Mans Switch

addons i use Field Recorder and Broken Doll

it works really nice on him

  • If u camped after ur cool and they are trash actually.

"2 stacks is enough with the changes tho"

While also using a perk slot for STBFL, that's not an issue and not really different from what we currently have when people run the perk. Also basically only ran on m1 killers who are already weak in the meta to begin with.

I would comment on the specific people you mention as there are flaws in it but that can be construed as naming and shaming which is against ToS here. As a general rule it's better to avoid ever mentioning people specifically by name.

I probably have more hours in the game than you and all your friends combined..and then doubled a couple times. I don't like roasting on hours played but I can tell by the things you think that you are newer to the game and that's fine, but you have very aggressive opinions that will change after you get more hours into the game. You should be more open minded on things and less confrontational.

I was referring to the weaker killers actually. If only the meta matters than I assure u Nurse wouldn’t have any of the problems ur worried about. Nor blight for that matter

what is the problem then? U were the one who said there are people who agree with u yet provided nothing to back up ur claim. So

u might have 10k hours more than me, sure idk u, so u might as well. But wether its 1k or 10k hours, if played poorly are still 10k worthless hours. I am open minded when it comes to decent arguments. Urs are not so Im sorry

"BT is not a problem, for anyone who knows how to play that is, u will never see a good player complain about it, not in tournaments nor content creators, or streamers."

Sorry mate, you're just wrong. They literally do.

"only players who dont know how to deal with it properly, complain about it."

    Wrong again.

"its not an exaggeration, I literally explained why. This new change means even unhooks in front of the killer is unsafe. Like ???"

If you've used STBFL to prevent chain unhooks you would know that 2 stacks isn't enough for that.

    “Ur just wrong”

bro show me these people in tournaments complaining about it, show me demi, otz, souza complaining about bt. Lmao

sometimes its just hard to admit that we are bad and need improvement, but if bt is a problem for u, maybe its time u ponder on that.

I literally already addressed that in my post. For solo queue then yeah it's going to be bad, but you can't judge a perk from that. In a coordinated team, that extra hit will be very crucial. It's riskier because going from healthy to injured is worse than going from injured to deep wounded. You just have to mend for a short time for the trade off that your teammate gets away and makes it to another loop.

Not really, its still the same ?? Even in swf, cause a coordinated team will take the extra hit endurance or not. If my bud is dead on hook and Im not, Ill even get hooked in his place, just so the pressure is minimized.

and like I said, its not worse to go from Healthy to injured than injured to deep. Cause u see, at the end of the day theyll have to heal all the same.

And ur not considering that If the healthy person is the better chaser it’ll be no problem being injured during the chase (for resilience reasons). Now, having the guy with the toolbox and the gen oriented perks being chased is a waste of time

"Bt is only a problem if u consistently tunnel, which I dont"

Wrong. Anyone with a decent amount of hours in the game knows this.

"u implied it didn’t make a difference “its just milisenconds bro”."

No, I implied that the extent to which you think it's going to make a difference was exaggerated. It will make a difference, that doesn't mean it's going to be a huge one.

I agree mmr is a joke, however it was u who brought it up lol. BT is not a problem, for anyone who knows how to play that is, u will never see a good player complain about it, not in tournaments nor content creators, or streamers.

only players who dont know how to deal with it properly, complain about it. Cause even in coordinated swfs they will bodyblock endurance in effect or not. So.

Because the average player base is low skill level hence why they cater to those people rather than objective balance. Sounds like you probably just play at low mmr so you haven't experienced the issues I'm talking about.

"and tbh if u think 10% doesnt make a difference ur playing killer wrong. It can be the difference between a hit and a no hit at all, a miss and a down"

I never said it didn't make a difference. What I did say is that you were over exaggerating the extent of that change.

Im iri 1 on both killer and surv lol. Bt is only a problem if u consistently tunnel, which I dont. So unless u facecamp a surv just to guarantee a kill then sure its a massive problem. If u distribute hooks this doesn’t change anything.

u implied it didn’t make a difference “its just milisenconds bro”. Well for well versed players it is huge. Its a few stacks of save the best, for free

You can take like 5 protection hits in a row with just perks looking at some of these reworks

Not really, BT and OTR only start after being unhooked. And the same surv would be affected by either of those. So 1 bodyblock only

That isn't what I was implying.

    BT or OTR

Once you hit the Mend stage you've already successfully blocked a hit, hence the entire point I'm making.

How would that bodyblock the killer “to oblivion” like u said? U can only bodyblock once either way

  • @Blueberry said:

With these changes I don't see why I or a SWF wouldn't just stack BT or OTR and body block the killer to oblivion. Looks quite abusable on good survivors.

My friend. You literally say "she effects other killers" You use MYC as an example. You say it might have a shorter cooldown without her. NOTHING about thst is factual. Never have the devs said she holds back perk design.

I mentioned two maps to keep it short. There's a lot more obliviously. Until they reduce a lot of the maps. Range should definetly stay. The traversal is too much

She does, that is factual. MYC will never have a shorter cooldown because it’s exploitable on nurse. Do u need the devs to confirm this for u?

What If I said lithe without exhaustion would be busted on good survs? Do u need confirmation from the devs as well? Or isnt it obvious.

Nah, nurse is not a map dependent killer, her base kit fares well in all maps, therefore range addons just bring back the omegablink problem for a couples years back

A healthier survivor doing it is riskier for them because they're going from healthy to injured. The injured guy with OTR just has to mend after its all done. They can do that with BT, but they only have 12 seconds to set up an effective body block. Someone with OTR, with EIGHTY SECONDS of protection, can set up a place where they stand in a doorway and completely block the killer.

IDK how you can't see how that's so powerful.

because it isnt powerful, a hit is a hit. At the end of the bodyblock animation whoever blocked will be one hit away from the dying state. So how is that “riskier” ?

and again 80 seconds means nothing if u cant do any conspicuous actions. Its 80 secs ur not helping the team. Thats almost a whole gen. And for what? To take a hit for someone else? Thats not effective. Thats not powerful, thats bad time management

  • idk man we should test it out first before jumping to conclusions.

dont get me wrong I love save the best, use it all the time on diferent builds. But “meta” is too strong a word for it..at least until we put it to use

  • Wraith has a high pick rate. Hes easy to use and has decent addons, but he lacks severely in map presence and pressure.

in low to mid he is stronger and much more common than some A Tier killers but thats because of experience (or lack there of) in mid to low tiers

  • Save the best is good but not meta. Its very niche and situational. I dont think it need a nerf

Okay so you clearly don't actually use any of these perks.

    • Spirit Fury: After breaking 2 Pallets, the next time you are stunned by a Pallet, The Entity will instantly break it

That's 2 pallets, not 3, and you just have to break them (kick, chainsaw, whip, whatever), not get stunned by them. You get to charge it up and then it gets used automatically when you want to run into a pallet through mid-chase.

    • Dissolution: 3 seconds after injuring a Survivor by any means, Dissolution activates for 20 seconds: While Dissolution is active, if a Survivor fast vaults over a Pallet while they are inside your Terror Radius, The Entity will break the Pallet at the end of the vault, deactivating Dissolution.

You have to HIT someone, then wait 3 seconds, then you get a 20 second window for the survivor to vault an already-thrown pallet, then you wait for it to fully dissolve before you can attempt to follow up. The only part of that that's in the killer's hands is the initial hit. And getting a hit on somebody AFTER they've thrown a pallet almost always means that they're a terrible player, because you wouldn't throw the pallet unless you're going to stun the killer or you're wasting their time for you to run to the next loop. It's worse in every way from Spirit Fury AND it tells the survivor it's active for zero reason.

Like, at this point, I'm 100% convinced you're just trolling, so I'm just going to stop replying to you.

So thats 3 bud, break 2 and stunned by another. Thats…three. Also, if u had any game sense youd know tHe easiest way to proc spirit fury is not respct pallets making survs think theyre safe stunning u.

and dissolution…activates by hitting a surv….like I said 🤔 besides the wait three seconds refers to the -base- time it takes to recover from the M1 so u wont lose the dissolution while recovering from said M1

And tbh if ur so bad at chases as u make it sound u are, maybe just dont run a perk that’s dependent on a survs actions, mayhaps ???

    Low Effort.

    Yeah, just:

    • get a survivor to throw a pallet
    • convince them to stay there instead of using the stun/delay to run to the next pallet
    • get them to loop the pallet poorly
    • secure 1 hit on them
    • convince them to STAY there instead of using the speed boost of the hit to run to the next pallet
    • And then you have 20 sedonds to chase them close enough that they have to Fast Vault (not slow or medium) the downed pallet

    Oh man. SO EASY.

The perk would be garbage even if it didn't warn the survivors. The fact that it does is the final nail in the F-tier coffin.

What? To activate the perk u need to hit the surv, and only that. Whislt for spirit fury u need to be stunned 3 times to get the same effect. So yes low effort.

What happens or will happen during the chase is a separate matter. Experience counts a lot towards that, and if u cant make a surv leave a loop or vault a pallet, maybe its a skill issue not a perk issue

When a boon goes up, you hear a non-directional boom to say that one has gone up SOMEWHERE on the map. As opposed to the very, very many directional and nearness sensitive noise notifications that survivors get with a plurality of killer powers.

And, let's not forget, killers get zero perks or bonuses to help them FIND the boons, versus survivors getting items, addons, and like five different perks that help them find hex totems. Even the color choice is outrageously in the survivor's favor: hexes glow bright orange and cast a noticeable glow all around them. Boons are a muted blue that fades into the background and have a nearly imperceptible sound thrum that never carries over the constant auditory assault killers have at all times

And all that is beside the point that Dissolution is so elaborate to get to trigger in the first place, that warning the survivor on top of everything else just cements the perk's place in the F-tier of "no reason to ever use." You know, the kinds of perks that they have to revisit and rework like the 40 they just did?

yes, and the same goes for hexes u know they exist somewhere. Same thing. And tbh bro, if u cant find a boon because of color or placement, u need glasses and map knowledge.

by using hexes I know totem placement, and so should other killers.

And yes dissolution has a visual warning because, unlike spirit fury, its an instant effect. Its a low effort, high reward kinda perk. All u need to activate it is hit a surv, so to make it even it notifies survs.

There's no evidence anywhere of devs confirming nurse effects ANY perk. But try again. And yes. The map itself IS your resource against nurse. It's different then any other killer, and that's not a bad thing.

With things like mother's dwelling and eyrie existing. Her add ons are perfectly fine for now. If they ever reduce map size. The add ons should be reduced heavily. But until then. They're perfectly fine.

How dense are u? I never said devs like ??? I used an exemple, a factual exemple explaining my point like ???

when u cant use pallets and windows the map is no resource. It’s trivial, a frugality. Like using bamboozle on nurse, it’s fruitless.

And two maps as exemple on why double range addons are a thing is no argument.

For the same reason killers don't get to see if they're in the area of effect of a boon, but survivors get to see when they're cursed:

The current design team has decided that the survivors deserve more info than the killers.

If Spirit Fury were designed today, all the survivors would be able to see when it's active, so they know not to throw a pallet on you.

U can literally hear when a surv sets up a boon, bro.

and u only know ur “hexed” when the hex takes effect. I.e. devour, ruin, noed etc.

thats no argument, everyone deserves at least a glimpse of info in this game

  • sure. I stream on twitch sometimes, usually when I play on pc, u can always check me out as well. Im brazilian tho so I stream in my native tongue.

    to continue to Google Drive

(I cut the survs names for obvious reasons) But as u can see even unpredictability can be fixed with a single blink

For high MMR and especially solo queue, this perk is very useful.

Self care is extremely important to counter hemorrhage. If you're short on med kit charges and heals elsewhere aren't available for one of a myriad of reasons, it ensured you could finish the heal. It is also a counter to Franklin's, as good killers will keep you away from your dropped med kit until depleted or bank on downing you if you try to retrieve it.

If the killer interrupts a heal and you break free of the chase, it gives you the chance to to finish a heal you may have struggled to get otherwise.

It allows you to stealth heal while not having to risk being caught out trying to find a chest or someone else.

It allows you self-reliance, which is incredibly important in solo queue. You can't force your teammates to act in a certain manner, only hope that they play in a logical way that helps you. This is neither always nor frequently the case. Self-care gave you the agency to make decisions independently of your teammates. It also provides consistency in a game where so much can be situational.

If I thought anything would happen with self-care, it was that maybe this nerfed version would become base-kit like BT is changing.

Are u mad bro? Sef care to counter hemorrhage? It takes 32 secs to heal a normal heal, over 40 debuffed with mangled/hemorrhage. Thats half a gen man.

i play GF with Sloppy+Nurses Calling precisely to find survs doing what u mentioned

She can blink through it but she doesn't home on to you like a missile, only if you run in a straight line like an idiot.

Bro, I play nurse, u can be as unpredictable as u want I only need one blink to fix it.

the skill ceiling for nurse is indeed high, but dont come here and say u cant find an unpredictable surv just by blinking one more time. They can go to anyplace that can obstruct ur view and one blink later u counter that.

cmon I dont even main her and I know that
