Where i said it is okey?
I'm guessing this is a joke then? "Killers can be C tier. Nothing wrong with that. But BHVR destroyed all low tier killers with boons and mmr. Dead Hard and maps were also problem, so it is just worse now.
But it is okay, people are buying chapters and cosmetics. So there is not issue."

I never said she shouldn’t be good. I said I have no issue with her being weak because her power is interesting, if she becomes good then even better
Maybe if the dlc was free but remember this is about 7.99 dollars which right now is not worth the money.

You should be able to play any killer at any rank... skills to back it up, you should have a reasonable chance at winning
You can. Survivors also get better, so you do as well. Sure some killers eventually get basically useless but they usually have a higher MMR variant for when that happens.
Right except no because the only high level viable killers left are nurse and blight.

I agree, and honestly I've defnded Sadako in a previous post ripping into her by saying:
"I... don't think you are giving her enough credit. Yeah she's a basic M1/RT killer, but she has many advantages that you aren't counting, and her iri addon that turns on 4 tvs after she manifests (and hits a survivor in 8 seconds) is broken at hell in chases! I realized this after 3 matches as her: she has ridiculous pressure if you know how to use it, and the fact that she can shift between ghost and manifested without any drop to her movement speed is crazy good (way better than wraith)!
I'm still toying with her, but overall... I actually think she's a lot of fun so far. I also believe that the fact that she's limited to being an m1 killer is everyone's biggest gripe, but when you have this level of pressure/mobility... that actually feels fair in my book.
honestly the only gripes I have with her so far revolve around her perks and add-ons, Especially the Perk that gives survivors 1 chance per second to hit a "great skill check" when the gen is 90% done... SERIOUSLY? NO KILLER IS GONNA USE THAT! Sigh... Hopefully they fix those things in a few more updates."
She definitely has her strengths and weaknesses, but overall I'm enjoying her so far, but the bottom line is that this is still a PTB, and thus not a representation of the actual live game in any way. If the devs did something to incentivize players in to play the PTB, we'd get a better idea of how the new killer/mechanics/perks feel to play with or oppose, because more people would be playing the PTB. I also already gave my own suggestions for this in another post here:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2811751#Comment_2811751
And I hope as least some of these suggested incentives make the cut for future PTB's. Otherwise, the PTB simply can't be seen as a trusted source of actual player feedback, and is pretty useless.
I like Sadako/The Onryo so far, and like what she brings to this game. Too many are writing her off as a worse Wraith or Freddy, when in reality she's actually better than both, but you just have to play her longer than an hour, and discover her strengths, in order to find that out. So many complaints are coming out about the killer too soon after they are introduced via PTB... and none of them should be trusted at all. Instead it's best to Give it time, let people get the hang of the new killer, and then we can respect any gripes about them (although Ghost Faces PTB was legendarily bad, so yeah, there are exceptions to this rule... but the current PTB is no where near as bas as that imo). Otherwise, Complaining this early? You're just blowing smoke in the open air, and not even enough to get up our asses!
To put it bluntly, the ptb is a joke now the fact that they allowed boons to be the way they are shows this.
Along with that remember this, the killer is being classified as a c tiered killer in the best case scenario which due to the current state of the game is not something that is needed.
Right now no she is not worth the money and unless someone pulls a miracle and actually make her worth the price, it will be for about a month at the most before people drop her to play as someone better.
-
Well guess what that's exactly what happened she's not an anti killer. Congratulations survivors you didn't want another anti loop and this is what we get? A hodgepodge of Freddy and wraith. Sure, hope you like playing against them for a month tops before rotting away figuratively aftwrwards.
And right now unless the ptb causes sadako to be buffed (which I highly doubt) this is not worth the money at all.

That's fair.
I hope she gets some buffs if she ends up not being strong enough to use competitively.
I expect I'll have fun with her, but, then again, I legitimately enjoy playing Twins and Clown, so....
And like I said if the game was balanced sure but between most killers missing bare basic needs just to hold their own, chases and looping being counter productive to progression thanks to maps, way too many forgiving perks for survivors and the overall rng I just can't see her being worth the money.
-
Cause they want to act like the game is ok when it's not.

may I ask why?
I think she's scary and fun, if not super strong.
You answered your own question.
She isnt strong and if the game was balanced properly I could see it being fun but in its current state no she is not worth it.
It's another case of a killer getting some play for a month or so then they will just get sidelined thanks to a lack of viability at higher ranks.
And for a game that is know for nerfing killers more than buffing them it's a joke to ask for 7.99 or so for another useless character slot
-
Absolutely not.
It's not worth the money.

Thats why you need both of them. Undying shows you when a survivor is nearby and Thrill gives you more time to approach the survivor.
It only postpones it though not completely removes it like most people want cause right now the "perk=game" fix is really getting old

It was across all matches
I guess but I'm just tired of the "StaTS SaY thiS sO iT mUst be TRuE." Argument where while yes on average it could be seen one way but to most it can be seen a different way.
Especially since like I said this game heavily relies on rng.

Actually the devs released stats on Midwich recently and it’s the highest kill rate map at 63%. So it really is statistically the best map for killers.
So a statistic showed this but which killers were used and were they new players or not ?
A game with an rng fetish like this one can't take stats as seriously as more balanced and more comp games.
-
@Tsulan said:

There might be a solution for that: Undying + TotH could prevent CoH on a high mobility killer like her.
Except totem placement sucks so for the most part hex perks lose power within the first minute

I think you're exaggerating. Could she use some tweaks? Sure. Is she unplayable? God no.
She's been out for a day, nobody even knows how to play her yet. Calm down.
It's not hard to see the problems already just from the basic fundamentals of this killer.
It's another killer that needs specific perks to fix the issues rather than allowing variety thanks to the balance.
The only thing we have yet to see is if they nerf or buff them for live and given the past performance from the devs I believe somehow even with the issues the killer has there's going to be something to nerf.

Give her time man, that's all I can say
And if she sucks then what?
Right now hit and run is terrible, the second chance perks are becoming a problem and the matches as times are a lose lose affair thanks to how forgiving they made survivor gameplay. So why would this killer fix that even in the slightest of ways?
-
@Nathan13 said:
everyone needs to just give it a few days to see where she’s at. Gonna take some time to figure her out.
It took all of 30 seconds to realize there are issues thanks to the game's current status quo. What makes you think this killer will be worth the money and somehow not going to get nerfed or screwed when it goes live. It happened before and I don't seeing it changing now.
-
@PeaceNGrease said:

Just like any killer, you don't want to overcommit to strong loops, but I wouldn't say she's uniquely bad at them. The fact she can transition to phase and out without loss of speed makes her mindgame already better at weak tiles, and you can take extra time to get a down if you need to, knowing you can just to to a gen in progress
No it's more like if a killer has to loop you lose as of late.
-
@PeaceNGrease said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2811948#Comment_2811948
She is not bad, see my above post
From what I read and seens it's another killer who has to have specific perks to play well. And it's getting old.
-
It's way to forgiving and is allowing survivors to make so many mistakes and still win.
-
@Gamedozer7 said:

She is also only invisible at 32 or less meters.
Also for what otz said teleporting to TV to try and stack condemned is not the play. It takes to long to build and you turn off the TV for 1-2 minutes.
Not having a chase power is going to hurt her imo. I'm tired of anti loop killers where the counterplay is w but the problem is even if the killer has no anti loop survivors will still w key which is still strong against them and then you have no awnser to looping.
So it's another ######### killer that relies on perks because the devs cant balance their game. Great.
Guess my prediction came true which I hate.

Hit validation isn't a buff. Everything should be validated by the server since the day they enabled dedicated servers.
Why then does it need hit validation in the first place. It's a distance perks but now it's more of a safety net.
-
Do survivors need so many second chance perks?

why do people complain about boons and s.h? they're literally cool new mechanics "were gonna get boons and s.h every patch" abit like how we got exhaustion perks and hex perks every patch pretty much since 2016
Cause boons are bullshit and scrounge hooks only work if you actually can hook someone on the specific hook which for some maps is an issue. Along with that it is another killer mechanic revolving rng and survivors being allowed to choose where along with being able to use it constantly.
-
Most due to them trying to make boons fun even though the boon mechanic is a problem.
-
@jesterkind said:
The key to understanding the cosmic truth of the situation is...
...People aren't going to be happy with anything, and they're always going to complain. A similar thing happened recently; over and over people say they want a "game health chapter", but when we got a game health midchapter, people complained that there was "nothing in it".
Well it doesn't help when you read her perks and power and find out that due to the current game balance she will lag behind so for a licensed character you have to pay for it seems like a slap in the face that seemingly the devs aren't even trying to make killer an enjoyable experience anymore.
-
@DoritoHead said:
STOP saying how good or bad killers are on day 1. I recognize that some people are just giving their first impressions, and that's perfectly fine. However, a first impression would be like saying "This killer seems kinda bad/ kinda OP, but I can't be sure yet", not "THIS KILLER IS F TIER FKJSDKJDN"
There are so many strategies, techs, and builds with the killer that are waiting to be discovered. Instantly deciding how good or bad they are isn't a smart thing to be doing.
"But Doritohead, this killer is F tier! (or overpowered) This time it's true, I promise!"
I'm not suggesting that Sadako is either strong or weak. In fact, I don't have any opinion about how strong she is at all, and that's ok. Time will tell if this killer is good or not.
Honestly just from reading her power and perks, shes going to have issues due to the game balance atm.
-
I bet the killer is just going to be a combination of older ones that will get nerfed right away and become another waste of cash

It’s not quite that bad, past about level 15 or so you always have a purple or red in the web so your odds of getting a variant add-on are actually pretty high. I know I have probably five or six spares currently for instance.
It can just due to bad luck cause some addons won't show up or the worst of the rarer add ons can constantly show it.
-

I’m not saying if the nerf was or wasn’t enough, I’m just saying they did nerf it and so are monitoring it. If it’s still showing as being too powerful in the data they’ll nerf it again.
As long as the mechanic is the way it is now it won't matter though.
-
To be honest not really much good IMO.

Of course is not a comp game, in a comp game they limit you to run only 1 of each item per team and no perks repeated in the same team, meanwhile you can play bingo with dh, ds, bt and ub/iw on every single pub game you play
Add any boon perks as well to that bingo sheet.

If it's not a comp game why keep the SBMM and seeming rely on stats at the highest level?
Also no they are not thanks to crappy basekit along with new additions that make certain playstyles not viable.

i vs ALOT of babies because idk bhvr but i just take it as an opportunity to practice things like nurse or flickbilly i still stomp because its like their first time ever playing the game so +mmr i guess but then when i go against actually really good players its extra fun cause its a decent challenge and even when im playing harder things such as flickbilly or something im more equipped to win or atleast have an evenly paced match. I dont really get the complaining about versing really sweaty players because at some point youll just get better and be able to smack them, right?
In a normal game yes but this one has an odd obsession with lopsided balance to where atm only 2 of the killer's are worth investing in and one isn't avalible now so right now.
-
The core mechanic of Boons itself is the main issue.

I’m honestly not being snarky when I say this. You really need to step back and take a break. It’s not healthy to be like this.
This game thrives on stress lately especially for killers so to be honest he's not wrong. IMO I agree that survivors and the devs are going to be what kills this game due to a combination of ######### game mentality (which this game is already known for) and a lack of understanding and flat out incompetence with trying to get the right mixture of fun and balance .

Yeah good point, streamers really effect what people think. Many people think DbD is survivors sided because of killer main streamers. I think they should play survivor instead of relying on streamers' opinions.
Then I guess streamers are why a good chunk of survivors are entitles trolling ######### then.
-
@KolbyKolbyKolby said:
The forums tends to have more vocal killer players, and they're also probably alone. Not to say they are friendless or whatever, but most survivors are probably playing with at least another friend.
So if you lose a game and you're chatting with a buddy you're less likely to come to the forums to vent about the loss because you're already distracted with whatever you're talking about.
If you're playing alone and you lose, especially if the loss feels like something you really couldn't have played out any differently, you get to stew in it for a minute and maybe come and get it off your chest. The fact that survivor play tends to draw in multiple people means they're less likely to have to stew in defeat.
You can see oftentime some survivors that come and complain, and if you notice more often than not they are either talking about their experience playing alone, or are new players in general.
So it boils down to "killers don't have actual complaints because they don't have teammates?" Cause skimming through this is what i basically got.
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:

But that doesnt mean they are strong. Survivors use them because they are necessary against camper & tunneler killers.
If that's the case why the do killers have to tunnel and camp now?
If the game was as "balanced" as many defenders want to claim why would the killer need to do that in the first place?
And remember even high mmr players like otz said that they have to camp and tunnel at times.
-
@jesterkind said:
My take is that DBD is actually pretty balanced, if both sides are bringing their strongest stuff.
...The snag in that is that the Killer bringing their strongest stuff locks you into one of like, four killers, on top of the strongest perks. Survivors get to bring at least some of their strongest stuff all the time, and while that's a pretty decent (if flawed for non-strength reasons) matchup for, say, a Nurse playing well or a Blight with an adequate build, it's massive overkill for a Clown running average perks.
Since there's a lot of reasons to want to play different killers it leads people to saying that DBD is "survivor sided", when the real issue is that there's not enough consistent power throughout the killer roster. After all, the difference between Clown and Nurse is immense.
Or maybe it's also because the game is flat out forcing players to play a certain way and right now survivors have more pull thanks to the perks being way too forgiving at times
-

Idk anything about Ringu but I always look forward to new content. Hope it goes well for the game.
The game's devolving into a toxic cesspool of ######### mentalities, false promises , incompetent decision making along with ego centric defences.
No I don't think this will help its just another killer to add to the pile thanks to the current state of dbd.
-
@Pepsidot said:
Yeah, fresh content is always welcome. New killer, new survivor and 6 new perks. Sounds good to me! Although I do hope there is a new map because they are always fun to traverse too. So yes I am excited although I'll probably just watch a stream here and there instead of downloading the PTB.
Umm this is the status quo though for BHVR "losing players, release a licensed chapter" "new map: mostly survivor sided due to size and asset placement" "New characters added: nerf killer, give a good perk or two and have at least one as a fix for already known issues, more bugs"
-
