So because console performance is bad, you're going to purposefully get fewer points and make other players get fewer points? How is that supposed to help?

I'm not even playing till they fix it somewhat. I have majority of perks and a good supply of add-ons on the killers i play, the event won't do much for me. The last plethora of games have been with unplayable lag or crash for me, so either way the offering gets wasted for myself. I'd rather stockpile them to use on a new future killer i actually like, i still have some offerings from Pyramid Head's release too. As for other players point gains, it's not my business,If anything they should increase the event duration or hold off till things are stable.

  • For sure as hell no Console users will burn any, not with the current issues.

  • What a major ######### up, right before an event too. I'm just gonna log in for when the shrine event happens at some point in July. I still have cakes from when Pyramid head was released, so i have that going for me at least.

  • I'm just gonna take my chances with the shrine event to get the last few killer perks i need unlocked, rather than wasting blood points on a killer's blood web i have no intention of playing.

  • I'd kinda like Plague to get some little buffs.

If a survivor scares a crow from a rushed action, they become infected. Makes sense to me, crows are a carrion bird. If anyone has seen 28 days later, when that crow drips blood into the eye of that man, infecting him.

Maybe make her Iri addon that grants corrupt purge when a gen is completed to a purple or green with a reduced duration, Give her an Iri addon that reduces the number of cleansing pools and automatically grants her corrupt purge from that pool whenever a survivor cleanses.

Corrupt purge can now break pallets and breakable doors.

  • I think it mainly might be an issue with the hindrance debuff itself, which mostly affects clown more than any other killer.

  • I tend to have Infectious Fright on 3/5 killers i play, so i'm usually aware of potential saves. I will tend to chase flashlight users if nothing else is going on though, What i find annoying though is people who taunt with it, get downed and then sometimes DC...

Back when i first started getting into demo a couple weeks after starting the game on ps4, She taunts with a flashlight, get's downed, hooked and then i get a message on ps4, how it usually goes lol.

  • I'd kinda like a Magic / illusion or voodoo based killer tbh. Maybe based around the Lord of Illusions 1995 movie.

  • Yeah this has been getting worse every chapter for over a year now, there is no excuse now with how successful the studio has gotten. It's definitely not a hardware issue, i can play multiplayer games that constantly get updated monthly like SMITE, Elder scrolls Online, For Honor and Destiny 2 with no major lag or stutters whatsoever.

  • There's no friends in this game, just like in Mario Kart. XD

  • They could probably do with buffing some of the older perks, buff some obsession perks ( Dying Light could use a touch up again, but not the 1st version of it where it encouraged tunneling the obsession) A lot of perks could use a reduced cooldown, like oppression for instance.

  • Lery's , Game and Hawkins on my Blight and Plague. Just too confined of a map to use their powers with precision.

  • Surprised you put Plague below Nemesis tbh. Far better in terms of infection as a mechanic, Can hit at a distance and over objects with corrupt purge, can hit multiple survivors with it, and also not required to hit for 3 health states, better addons. VS 3 health states, questionable zombie AI, ability to hit over/destroy pallets in tier 2. I don't understand the reasoning.

  • Just stop, honestly. All you do is complain.

    Complained about Bubba

    Complained about Wraith

    Complained about ranged Killer's

    Complained about NOED

    Complained about Bloodlust

    Complained about killer's lacking skill

    Complained about Insta downs

  • Just another Van post looking for nerfs towards killers and with the 'Skill' word thrown around, nothing new to see here.

  • Make your choice with the recent scream addition added to it

  • I think they should, there's enough background for a 2.0 Resident Evil chapter and i'm sure Capcom wouldn't mind additional exposure. (But you know DBD devs screw up at the simplest of things) so I doubt this'll happen now.

Grand chance to introduce two killers at the same time for a first time ever though.

Heisenberg, Lady Dimitrescu and Ethan for a survivor.

Heisenberg, big 2 handed Maul, can manipulate metal at will, could possibly block doorways and windows for a short time with metal for a 1st ability and possibly hurl metal at or entrap a survivor with metal for a 2nd, as seen in one of the game's cinematics.

Lady D, big long claws, Works in tandem with her daughter's on the map and can call on them as needed, to guard certain areas for a time being, proper patrol AI but not as dumb as nemesis' zombies. Similar to maybe bot Killer AI in the tutorial match. But with limited chase distance. Cannot patrol near hooks or directly on a Gen. Can be blinded and stunned. Cassandra patrol's near killer shack, Bela patrol's a main building or main area of a map, Daniela patrol's near an exit gate. Stealth reduces their detection, if bleeding, their detection heightens. Lady D can call on a daughter to assist while in a chase, A daughter replying with a simple "Yes, Mother" to immediately appear by Lady D to be placed in a position for 16 seconds to guard it. (Think of a sleeping Charlotte body blocking, but can attack if you get close)

2nd ability, accesses her true form and travels to a part of the map, gain a bird's eye view of the map and select out of 5 sections of the map to travel to. 30 second CD. Could balance this with lady D being 110 speed killer.

3 potential maps, Lady D's castle and the Warehouse for Heisenberg, possible additional map being the village area itself.

My Plague loadout. Pretty generic. I miss Ruin, but it doesn't work well with Corrupt and without another hex to obfuscate it. STBFL can be a waste and there are better perks, but it's also really easy to max stacks because you have options to circumvent M1 hits on your obsession. Bad perk if you're the type who always wants to M2 into M1 or uses Corrupt Purge religiously, good if you just want to hit whoever's in front of you and will use whatever method's quickest. Pop works because her chases tend to be short between Corrupt Intervention and survivors coming pre-injured, so you can go back to the gen you chased people off of; otherwise, meh.

Corrupt Intervention is the perk I'd recommend most. She's not a setup killer, but her power lets you tag the first four gens cyclically, so you can guaranteed infect anyone who wants to do gens or chase them off into looking for another gen for absolute early game stall, and learn whenever someone goes on a gen to quickly get into a chase. It's good for forcing early passive infection that'll have developed by the time you finish your first chase, and if nobody got infected, it means they waited to get on gens, which is also good for you.

I kinda wanna try an undetectable plague build with Hysteria / Trail / Pop / Corrupt, Thana or Infectious. Sounds fun on paper, and maybe survivors will be less inclined to tap the yellow highlighted gen with puke on it.

  • I generally like '5TH perk slot' addons, like mangled effect for clown ect. Seeing as they removed the exhaustion one.

  • Will have to see what effects these boon totem perks bring , but i don't see a problem with this. Always found how survivor's can be directly told of hex status effects iffy tbh. Haunted Grounds, ruin ect.

I’d say it’s between Meyers or wraith. Both require zero skill and award easy kills through broken mechanics.

especially Meyers. I feel anyone can pick him up and be decent from the start. Which do you think is the most brainless killer to play? Thanks.

Think I've seen a couple of your posts this week complaining about several killers, it's like you have a personal vendetta with a lot of them. Which killer hurt you today to warrant this post? You're also talking as if this game has a skill ceiling comparable to games such as Mortal Kombat or Moba's for example. When in reality, most of it boils down to good looping , smart power use or just plain holding W or M!.

So I want to know what's worth unlocking so I don't waste as much time on other killers that have lesser quality perks.

Lucky you, BBQ is on the shrine now XD

  • No different than a survivor holding down m1 to win a game, if you're gonna argue about button inputs.

  • @TwitchyMike said:

Okay ######### I have a lot of perks to get

You can start farming points and shards now tbh, Use the points on killer's you have unlocked already or if you bought bubba get to BBQ first solely for the points boost to ease the grind a bit. Then pick and choose after that. There's supposed to be a shrine event in July for 2 weeks, and they'll give you a lot of shards for free (something like 9kish), the shrine resets everyday for that event, so that's gonna help you a ton.

Trouble with freddies is it's mostly endgame perks. Deathslinger's perks i don't think i've ever used in a build, maybe if they buffed dead man's switch to automatically knock survivor's off gens when you hook the obsession, then i'd use it. Oni perks are meh, except Nemesis but even then, it's nothing special.

  • This is generally what you want to unlock for most builds for several killers and different play styles.

    Leatherface - BBQ

    Clown - Pop and Bamboozle

Plague - Corrupt and Infectious fright

    Billy - Tinkerer and Enduring

    Trickster - Starstruck

    Hag - Ruin and Devour

    Micheal - STBFL

    Demo - Surge

    Legion - Discordance

Pig - Surveillance and Make your Choice

    Blight - Undying

    GhostFace - Thrilling Tremors

    Spirit - Spirit Fury

    Nurse - Nurses calling

    Standard - Sloppy, Whispers

  • I don't see the point in getting prestige myself tbh, just the base outfit with some blood on it. Big whoop.

  • In my opinion at least, taking note of both console and pc, These killer's would be pretty decent to start with, perk wise and gameplay for a new player.

    Easy:

Clown - I find him quite fun tbh, managing your bottles and throwing them strategically, can make a lot of loops and pallets unsafe, has 2 decent perks as well, you will want Pop and Bamboozle.

Doctor - While not the best perks, Overcharge is not half bad for matching with other new players. His tracking and madness will win you a lot of games alone until mid ranks.

Leatherface - I made the mistake of not buying him earlier on, decent perks and easy to learn, Just a case of learning when to use your chainsaw.

Hillbilly - Perks are great, good mobility and potential insta downs, just need to learn for when to use your chainsaw at opportune moments in chases, and not spam it.

    Medium:

Plague - You will want Corrupt and Infectious fright perks unlocked anyway, Once you get the hang of her mechanics, she's an incredibly fun killer.

Pyramid Head - Same case with plague, learn his mechanics and when to use them and you'll be golden. Perk wise not the best, but trail and deathbound can be useful.

Demo - Need to be somewhat map aware, place his portals near gens you think you can defend optimally, ideally a 3 gen in your web of portals or portals mostly on one side of the map. Shred is your friend, use it on corners and windows, anticipate pallet drops with it and in some cases use it for distance. Surge is the only good perk though. He will want the save the best for last perk and corrupt to help him.

  • I tend to run both calm addons or one calm and the range increase.

  • I'd just run both tbh, really strong for late game with 3 gens on certain killers. Imagine a Doctor with both perks on a 3 gen scenario while also throwing madness tier 3's out.

  • Another disadvantage of nemesis is that his tentacle's first hit infection doesn't count as a hit on people cleansing totems, so it doesn't interrupt, but yet counts as a hit and gives them speed boost while in a chase which is baffling to me. I just find plague 10x times better to play in comparison, so she would be higher for me on my own tier list thoughts.

  • I think surge is fine, 40 seconds is usable. Oppression could be 40 seconds, down from 80. Thrilling could be 30 seconds, but reduce the block gen duration to 10 seconds. And while we're at, i'd buff Dead Man's Switch to a full 60 seconds of gen blockage, regardless if a survivor stops repairing it. It's an obsession perk after all.

  • If i were going to use it, i'll probably stick it on Oni for a quick first hit for power. But i would rather have consistent perks throughout the game tbh. You can generally discern a general direction where survivors will be at the start most of the time anyway, once you've played a fair amount of killer.

  • Should stack with M1 Attacks to proc the surge, assuming you've kicked gens beforehand for eruption.

  • Well it's already a purple Add-on, so it's already a costly Add-on to use every game, and rather than straight up nerfing it, could maybe switch places with the Iridescent Add-on that shows gen intensity.

  • @Dustin said:

Actually seems pretty decent now - Might actually use it on some killers.

Certainly kills Oppression, not that many used it anyway.

    @onemind said:

New perknto run on m1 killers like wraith trapper ect

Yeah, i'll probably use it on Doctor / Wraith and possibly Demo.

    Perks:

Murder of Crows - so kinda like Spies of the Shadows, but with an insta-down, cool

Planned Funeral - cool, maybe too much undetectable

Avian Guardian - a much better overcharge, while the surivor cant do anything to prevent the explosion -> not really fair

    Ability:

Falconer's Will - probaly needs a bigger cooldown

    Bird's eye view - cool

    Grave Error - cool

Murder of Crows - Maybe any rushed action that disturbs a crow while in your terror radius, would be better for the rest to apply.

Planned Funeral - Yeah maybe 30-45 seconds, had 60 seconds in mind seeing as you had to hook the obsession.

Avian Guardian - Maybe a tremendously hard skill check once startled.

  • The Groundskeeper / The Caretaker

Myles a proud 57 year old man and a retired trained Falconer, regularly visited his late wife's grave weekly, often bringing flowers and keeping the gravestone neat and dirt free. Having being recently diagnosed with incurable cancer and living on borrowed time, he longed to be with his wife again, in fact he embraced the thought of it. One day upon returning from a long session spent at the local hospital from discussing 'Potential options' to trial against his cancer with doctor's, he decided to visit his wife again, flowers in hand. Everything seemed as it normally was on his normal route to take to his wife's grave, several minutes in and he closes in on the direction of his wife's grave, Myles notices several disturbed flowerbeds and fresh muddy footprints several yards leading away from the graves in proximity, Myles breaks into a fast paced brisk movement, seconds later, he drops the bouquet of flowers and falls to his knees, crushing the bouquet under his weight. The grave had hastily been dug up, forced open by tools and ransacked by hand. Myles' wife jewelry had been taken, not just any jewelry, it was the ring's and necklace that once belonged to their 17 year old child who had tragically died while on a school skiing trip, Helen, Myles wife, Was a renowned fashion designer, having many of her creations being worn by popular celebrities at events. Helen, often seen wearing her daughter's jewelry on TV while alive, (which had been reforged with diamonds placed in). Myles Infuriated and fighting back tears, vowed to hunt down those responsible by any means necessary, he had nothing to lose now and would willingly bear any consequence, He grasped the nearby propped up shovel leaning on a nearby gravestone and gripped it tightly. Said one last goodbye to his deceased wife and turned away into the darkness that was the entity.

    Ability

    - Falconer's Will.

Myles, having worked and trained with most forms of birds of prey, instructs a Raven to rend the target's flesh, injuring them and applying mangled. 12m range, AOE targeted line similar to Pyramid head's ranged attack width. 12 second cooldown.

    Bird's eye view

Toggle to gain a bird's eye view of the map (Think Senu in assassin creed), similar to doctor's static blast radius. Any survivor near a crow will be highlighted by an aura, Press the active ability and this crow will hover around that survivor's head for 7 seconds. Immediately exit bird's eye view and gain increased movement speed for 10/15 seconds.

    Grave Error

Scattered around the map are 4 gravestones, all connected via tunnel system, The groundskeeper can interact with these gravestones while in proximity to begin travelling to another gravestone further away. Survivor's can destroy a gravestone with a toolbox, one purple quality or multiple lesser quality toolboxes to completely destroy it. These gravestones are highlighted yellow for the killer.

    Perks:

Murder of Crows - Disturbing a crow with any rushed movement places exposed on the target for 20-30 seconds.

Planned Funeral - Obsession perk, While your obsession is hooked, all survivor's are incapacitated for up to 10 seconds, gain undetectable for 60 seconds.

Avian Guardian - When you kick a generator, instantly regress it by 8%, places a crow in the vicinity. If a survivor interacts with the kicked gen, the crow will squawk, startling the survivor, causing a gen explosion , resulting in an extra 10% instant regression. 35 second cooldown.

    Gwent_cardart_neutral_caretaker.jpg

Was thinking something along the lines of this, design wise (Concept art from the Witcher 3 game i believe) but with a sharpened shovel instead, and a Raven/Crow on the shoulder, for an indicator of when he has his ability for the survivor.

  • my-image (3).png

Console player here, so mine would differ quite a bit from the standard view point. I'd probably place Nem on C tier, seen a few videos where people have trouble aiming his tentacle, with a mouse. So on console i imagine it'll be much worse.

  • I was thinking maybe plague could get a slight buff that kinda works like Nemesis' infection from zombies. Have crows grant infection to players who disturb them, tier 1 infection when disturbed, tier 2 when disturbed while already infected, if in tier 2 sickness and disturb a crow, grant plague corrupt purge for a certain amount of time.

I suppose Evil Within series could be another chapter that might potentially be able to use zombies, slim though.

  • Maybe they could draw inspiration from Evil Within series too. Sebastian as a survivor, and potential killers being Ruvik, Laura, Anima, Stefano Valentini or The Keeper. The latter probably being the most likely candidate of these suggestions.

  • Outside of his cloaking he has nothing going for him, just a hold W killer in chases, so why assume he will chase you for more than 10 seconds?

Especially when he has many perks that compliment the surprise attack aspect of him, like Make your choice, Dragon's Grip, BBQ , Sloppy, Nurses ect.

    • No audio notification for demo traversing
    • Doctor becomes energized with the amount of people in tier 3 madness, slight haste increase per person, i'd say on par with play with your food.
    • Plague, cleansing reveals your aura for 10 seconds. With Nemesis released, maybe plague could have something similar to zombies, with infected Crows. Disturbing a crow infects you, if already infected, transition into sickness tier 2, if in tier 2, crow reveals your aura for 10 seconds and grants plague Corrupt purge.
  • Haddonfield is probably the worst map for me performance wise for killer, followed by red forest.

I actually like dead dawg saloon, not too big, and pretty decent for my 3 main killers. Doctor , Wraith and Demo.

  • Someone can test if Surge and Eruption regression stacks if downed near a highlighted gen?

  • I am curious if Eruption and Surge regression stacks if the survivor is downed near a highlighted gen, could be interesting for some killer's.

Sure, Lethal Pursuer is a Perk which is gone very quickly at the start of the match. But getting into a Chase early can be huge for the Killer. Especially if you are able to end chases quickly.

Eruption sounds like a solid Perk for Gen-Kicking, at least I would say for now it is a decent Perk that might see some use.

I suppose you have to weigh up if lethal pursuer is worth the one time use vs a more consistent perk like BBQ for aura's.

  • @Reinami said:

Nemsis perks according to some article:

    • Lethal Pursuer
      • You’ve been designed to track down and eliminate targets.
      • At the start of the trial, the auras of all Survivors are revealed to you for 5 seconds.
    • Hysteria
      • You know how to brutalize one member of a team to cause a panic.
      • Whenever you put a healthy Survivor in the injured state with a basic attack, all injured Survivors suffer from the Oblivious status effect for 20 seconds.
      • Hysteria can only trigger once every 60 seconds.
    • Eruption
      • The NE-a parasite provides you with the intelligence and awareness needed to set a trap.
      • After kicking a generator, its aura is highlighted in yellow. When you put a Survivor in the dying state with a basic attack, every affected generator explodes, regressing their progress by 6% and causing their auras to disappear. Any Survivor repairing a generator when it explodes will scream and suffer from the Incapacitated status effect for 10 seconds.
      • Eruption has a cooldown of 90 seconds.

Lethal pursuer seems like a waste of a slot to me if it's a one time use perk of i'm assuming 5/10/15 seconds of aura's being shown?

    Hysteria meh.

Eruption is interesting if it can stack with Surge i guess.

    • Reduced Bloodweb Costs
    • New Addition to Shrine, able to select one perk and contribute a daily cap of 100k Blood Points to it, for a cost of 1 million blood points.
    • A perk that allows you to pick up a totem and place it anywhere 1 / 2 times.
    • More randomized map layouts , enough that someone can't memorize certain loop locations or totem spawns. (Something like the random world generator from Don't starve game but smaller scale.)
