  • A console view of the killer's i tend to see more of and in my view how well they do on console, Myer's would be C but i hardly ever see him.

    Untitled Image

  • I would quite like Heisenberg tbh, has some good dialogue too.

Plus i wouldn't mind swinging his hammer around or controlling metal for an ability to either trap or hurl at the survivor. Using metal to block a window or doorway (Like a Bamboozle, but with a cooldown) for example and able to encase a survivor in metal overtime for a chase projectile ability.

He may be the best user of MYC, but that doesn't change his position as one of the weaker killers in the game.

I'd class him as a mid card killer, definitely not top pick but certainly not one of the weakest in my opinion.

  • I just secretly hope killer is Heisenberg as slim as that may be haha. I would enjoy swinging his hammer around and controlling metal.

Map wise i don't know, most likely be an in door map or the actual village layout i assume, with the church and the tall grass and possibly part of the castle with the stairs leading up.

  • I'd argue with the recent change to Make Your Choice, and the buff's he received, that he's now probably one of the best users of that perk.

So i would probably run something like MYC / Pop / BBQ / Dragon's Grip or another perk of your choice, instead of an anti heal build. With Bone clapper and All-seeing blood. Then just play as you normally would as wraith, not pursing to long chases but breaking chase and taking advantage of exposed when you can. He should make good use out of the 60 second exposed effect with his addon's and base buffs now.

Why should starstruck be good with doctor? I got never hit with starstruck when i just run away in a straight line and the killer has no mobility.

With his Terror radius being massive with Distressing and calm addons and his built in tracking, majority of the time 2 or 3 survivor's will be marked with it on a good map. And generally one of them will be out of position, allowing him to usually get 1 or 2 downs if survivor's clump together. Also good for discouraging people for going to the hooked person while exposed i find.

  • Wraith - MYC / Dragon's Grip / Pop / BBQ - With All-seeing and Boneclapper. Works for me really well.

    Doctor - Starstruck / Distressing / Oppression / Surge

  • You gravely underestimate clown tbh, Low B/High C.

To the person saying Demo is C, Demo is Mid/Low A, with the updated addons and tweaks, particularly Rotten pumpkin / Deer Lung. Glasses and Soda also nice now.

With Starstruck a thing now, i would move doctor to High B/Low A depending on maps. The rest i agree with.

  • I wouldn't mind either way tbh, Heisenberg is my favourite character in this edition of RE though. And tbh i wouldn't mind him being the killer, Who wouldn't enjoy swinging his hammer about and controlling and ability to move metal?

  • I tend to run Pop/MYC/Dragon's Grip/BBQ with all seeing blood / boneclapper or more movement speed. Works really well for me since the wraith buff. But on topic, Sprint burst won't help you on it's own, wraith will just bait it and not uncloak and catch up. Pre drop pallets while exposed could help. Someone Used Deception, Lithe and Dance with me in one game once, but that's dedicating 3 perks to maybe lose chase with a Wraith. Could maybe Combo Borrowed time with Self-Preservation and use Lithe or Sprint Burst and hope the unhooked with BT takes a hit.

  • kinda wish they left Surveillance untouched, even if it was bugged no one complained about it, and the perk was 10x better for it.

Clown's Exhaustion addon, afaik Huntress was able to keep hers.

  • Dying light can be nasty if you get a decent stack, along with sloppy or thana.

  • Clown map is probably my favourite killer side, i don't mind midwitch either contrary to popular opinion haha.

Absolutely hate haddonfield and all versions of it, find it the most oppressive map for any killer without mobility.

  • Looking forward to getting into demo again, hopefully the addon overlook and the small changes make him fun again for me. Baffled at the twins change though. Don't play Freddy, so idc about his changes XD

  • Ya'll be forgetting the hook bug we had several months ago...That was a ballache to go though until it got fixed, this one though is not so bad in comparison as you can pre drop the pallet. Sucks if you're using pallet perks though.

  • Starstruck so i don't have to waste a lot of points and time into trickster, lullaby and potentially Oppression and Coup de Grace. Those are the one's i'd probably pick up for certain builds. Starstruck would be useful for my doctor.

  • Killer perk:

Murder of Crows; When a survivor disturbs a crow, it circles overhead of the survivor. Disturbing 3 crows blocks survivor aura reading and makes them oblivious for 2 minutes or until hit. Disturbing 5 crows, makes the survivor exposed until hit. Upon 5 crows, killer see's survivor aura for 8 seconds.

  • Disney will never allow that i imagine.

I just don't understand why they don't take inspiration from FolkLores now, would allow more creativity than being limited to what people see in movies/games.

  • Probably hate from the urban evaders.

  • Remove aura reading on Dull totems but keep the Aura reading for any active hex totem. Then just remove ToTH, because it's pretty much useless anyway. That's fair for everyone.

  • Think it's about time the game stopped taking inspiration for killer's from movies and move into history / actual folklore.

    For instance;

Peter Niers was a German serial killer and cannibal, who was executed on 16 September 1581 in Neumarkt, a few miles outside Nuremberg. It was also believed that he was a powerful black magician, with many supernatural abilities and his fame alone terrorized whole villages. Based on confessions extracted from him and his accomplices under torture, he was convicted of 544 murders, including 24 fetuses cut out of pregnant women—allegedly, the fetal remains were to be used in magic and for acts of cannibalism.

Think it's about time we had a magical / voodo based killer tbh.

The Magician for name obviously. As for power, well 'Supernatural' is a pretty big list of potential things, so I'm sure the devs can come up with something logical.

So as a DLC name, probably something a long the lines of 'The Supernatural happenings of Nuremberg'

  • Don't agree with the undying suggestion, seeing as hexes can already be denied by normal means.

Demo is not fine and needs an add-on haul, audios looked at and tweaks here and there.

  • The only op thing PH had was having no cooldown on using a swing after exiting Rites. They should've compensated him on his POTD more, with the width being extended a bit more.

I agreed with what he mostly said, I was there live.

What I don't agree with are his DS changes, he wants to gut DS without addressing the actual issue and the issue is tunneling and DS is the only perk in the survivor arsenal to fight against it.

He had great points about Iri Head, Moris and keys.

Think 45 seconds would be more than enough time for an anti tunnel. Keep the perk core as it is but make it disable when jumping in a locker or when touching a totem/generator. That's the issue most people have with it, because then it becomes an offensive perk rather than defensive one.

Agree with his wraith changes, especially the retaining the vault/break addon after uncloaking for 5 seconds for it to be useful. And maybe a slightly longer delay of the audio cue of him hitting his bell after attempting to uncloak.

With Clown i would just rather have bottles recharge over time, like blight's rush recharge system. With an additional situational ability replacing the reload button, kinda like how the doctor/freddie rework went.

The narrow corridoors are actually why I find Haddonfield to be so good, combined with the fact you can place trials under windows with drops to force torment. You can easily use your ability around the map.

Saloon I hate because you just... don't use your power. That's how you win. You just don't use it because it doesn't work- there are too many slight increases in the ground to do so and it just fails and you're like "######### me i guess". Hawkins it's the same- you just don't use your Punishment Of The Damned to get hits because all the loops are so short you can't use it to zone or get the hit. You'd use your trails and... that's it. It's boring. Plus the centre room with the catwalks- no hope of even thinking of using your ability.

And anyone who's seen me play knows my favourite part of using PH is using POTD as much as is humanly possible; I play for fun, not to win.

Yeah i guess, Bit like Wraith for me on Haddonfield, hard to play him there effectively for me with all the windows and loops, that most of the time, a survivor legs it and hops a window before i can get uncloaked and catch up.

Indoor maps are also a bane for my clown haha, especially long corridors that block my long distance throws. Game map being the worst offender of not being able to use your bottles effectively there.

  • Wonder if this perk will cause even more dc's for majority of killers. Since some survivor's already dc against my Clown with the exhaustion add-on. XD

  • I find the opposite tbh, with Pyramid head. Depending on the layout of which Haddonfield you get, you're not gonna hit your ranged attack on windows that have a drop. Add in the fact most layouts have a near infinite with some of the houses. Dead Dawg seems fine for any killer, it's not too big and there's no nasty loops.

Hawkins is good for him and his trail, you can certainly force torment there. While there is a lot of pallets, majority are unsafe so you should get a hit, not to mention easier to hit his ranged attack there with the narrow corridors.

He did a generator in your face. All's fair.

Same with the fact that his team didn't rescue him. If they did and you didn't target them again, then sure. You punished his reliance and borderline abuse of DS, which is what I have been saying for killers ti dk for a while now. Punish bad use or outright ignore it's potential with strategic slugging.

See I'm all for DS as it is, but feel it needs adjusting for when you abuse it for objectives or Force it via Grab.

Ruin + Undying has brought the most stale, boring gameplay I've ever experienced in Dead by Daylight since I began playing in 2016. I miss old Ruin right now.

Because you have to hold M1 potentially longer? XD

  • Would removing the reloading bottles mechanic be too much? Why not just have them passively recharge one bottle every 5-6 seconds?

  • The reason while I love bamboozle haha, Especially on double window jungle gyms that also sometimes has a pallet.

  • Also take note of the current killer rift challenges that kinda enforce the camping / tunnelling with stupid requirements like 10 obsession kills and the 3 Devout iridescent emblems challenges. So yeah, i wouldn't take it personally if a killer has one of those challenges, blame the devs.

  • Ruin and Undying has been giving me more value than pop lately, especially if you force them to one side of the map Gen wise. Ofc it's all rng based in terms of hex totem spawns but it performs well when it works and when you pressure. Overcharge i like to use on my doctor with the addition of lullaby, distressing and unnerving presence. 8 times out of 10 it performs well if lullaby stays up a considerable amount of time, as well as forcing a 3-gen strat if things start to go south.

  • I'm using Hex Undying, Ruin, Bamboozle, BBQ on my Clown atm, working well, but occasionally might switch out a couple perks here and there every few matches.

But here's some perks while situational, can work well in most killer builds.

    Pop

    Make your choice

    Nurses

    Enduring

    Spirit Fury

    Devour Hope

    Thrilling Tremors

    Haunted Ground

    Whispers

    Infectious Fright

    Discordance

    Tinkerer

    Save the Best till Last

I'd say these are probably the best perk selections you're looking at for most builds. Then you got the super situational perks for like endgame such as bloodwarden, noed ect. But that's generally a waste in most circumstances including into a build.

  • There's also a challenge to kill the obsession 10 times , so if you're the obsession you will be tunneled most likely from killer's who have that challenge, cause it's easier than the other option with Hag.

  • @AcridPyre said:

I can't say I've experienced any issues with Skill checks but I have been rubberbanding a bit lately. Nothing game changing but I've had it happen twice while in a chance and once when being picked up by the killer, teleported into his hands a few meters away from where I actually was. My latency and connection are fine as well. Hopefully it's not something that'll last but it's not a huge deal, at least not in my end, just yet.

Yeah, i've vaulted a window with lithe, few seconds after teleported back and been hit. Had a few issues when the character will not keep running when the button is held down but i assume that might be a controller issue.

  • From a killer main perspective, Nefarious aid is interesting and opens the door for strategy if you use it early or late game which i like. The voodoo one is also interesting but timer's could be adjusted i suppose.

What would you think of a perk like this?

Obsession: Raven's of the Night - Upon hooking a non obsession survivor, raven's will encircle continuously overhead on a random survivor, cawing every 5 seconds and revealing their aura for 2 seconds after cawing. Causes the oblivious status for 30 second's. Token based - Each token increases the timer and oblivious effect, 2 tokens - 1 min, 3 tokens - 1:30, 4 tokens - 2 minutes, 5 tokens - permanent.

  • Doctor's would love infernal aura haha.

  • Kinda want a killer based around Noob Saibot's theme from Mortal Kombat. Shadow clones and the shadow realm.

For instance - First ability - Send out your shadow clone to sprint and tackle the survivor, they will hold them in place similar to a bear trap mechanic but no damage state, Follows the survivor's pathing, gaining speed increases per second until it reaches it's target or is stunned. Can vault windows and pallet's. 18m range, 30 second cooldown.

Second ability - Shadow realm void, place void portals on the ground, max of 6. Any survivor who comes within 3m of one will be pulled into the portal and transition into the shadow realm, In the shadow realm all actions are reversed, movement key's are the opposite, as well as skill checks being anti clockwise, To leave the shadow realm, you must be 'woken up' or hooked. Killer can enter these portal's to transition around the map. Flashlight's disturb the portal's for 6 second's, until it materialises again.

https://youtu.be/CS5rCkskI2g?t=62 - Example of the clone tackle.

  • pips are weird on both sides anyway. can kill 2 people and hook another 2 / 3 times and still not pip.

  • I just think it should have an aura cooldown to put it in line with other aura perks. Say 30 second's to reveal the aura for 5 seconds. 24/7 aura is a bit much.

  • or a cthulhu inspired skin haha

  • Wraith - Generally think he just needs his addons looked at and make him harder to see while cloaked. His silent bell ultra rare could probably be moved to epic, Reappearance addon moved to green. New ultra rare to completely remove his shimmer, instantly re-cloaks upon hitting a survivor. The addon to increase action speed while cloaked should just be baseline.

    Maybe perk changes too,

Bloodhound - Blood intensifies upon getting closer to survivor, reveal aura of survivor when standing in their blood for 2 seconds.

Predator - Hitting a survivor with an M1 attack will cause oblivious for 20 seconds and the nearest crow to encircle them overhead for 20 seconds, cawing every 5 seconds revealing their aura and giving a notification. The survivor cannot see or hear the crow.

Shadowborn - Field of view is increased, standing still for 4 seconds grants an infrared effect, it is immediately removed after moving.

That's in line of the description of him being a tracker.

Clown, Needs an addon update majorly. remove the reload mechanic, change it to recharge token mechanic like blight's rush token system, increase to 6 bottles passively, increase the gas area, survivor's suffer coughing after leaving the gas for 15 seconds. Clown get's a 4% speed increase stepping into his gas for 3 seconds, Clown able to see through his gas better.

  • Killer's just be in a bad mood atm haha, with the recent hooking bug, some survivor's take advantage of it and bodyblock even more than usual for the killer on the way to hook. chances are the survivor will wiggle off 90% of the time while trying to re-align so he can hook.

Then again, a survivor accused me of tunneling him the other day while i was playing PH, he found my ruin early on and kept trying to cleanse my ruin totem repeatedly in the space of 3 minutes between being hooked and caged, as if i'd let him cleanse it without taking action.

  • His perks could certainly use a buff. I do wish they'd incorporate the upside-down a bit more, like a passive effect upon being hit, kinda like freddie's dream world effect, only it's something like reverse skill check direction and blindness until you cleanse a portal.

  • Don't see the point of reload now, it should be passive recharge like blight's tokens.

  • I don't see the point in touching him on console for me, he's not my playstyle, i'll stick to my usual killer's where i can actually get ######### done and perform welll.

  • As a killer, it depends on the level of stealth you would go to. If you're urban evading, locker using and running calm spirit then it's a really long drawn out game, i'd much rather you die or escape than be in a 30+minute match when it comes down to you and another survivor waiting for the other to die.

  • Had a few survivors run in there and pretty much go 'Oh #########' as they ran into the breakable doors and then get downed. I like it, it's no longer safe compared to the original map. There's like 2 doors on the house you'd probably want to leave too. Now if they could only do a haddonfield map touch up to reduce the infinite's there with the building's, especially the house with the stair window vault that loops into the mini basement with the pallet.

  • It's useful for my wraith at least, especially with ultra rare bell silence add-on equipped.
