Last time I used it I got 18,000 and had over 60,000 BP worth of bloodweb back before I could start a new one.

Neat? People also have probably been stockpiling them since Huntress came out, but Ig everyone uses them the second they can. Also that means you did poorly, even if chases end quickly you should get over 20k.

  • I've never seen Iri Brick with Apex Muffler, but the concept of it is the definition of genuine fear.

And costs 7000 blood points per use, Billy's chainsaw is free.

7000 BP when it gives at least 28000 BP back. Sure, buddy.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

The Iridescent Head is fine. It doesn't need a rework.

Iridescent head is absolutely not fine. There are Huntresses who barely miss, and with the Infantry belt they need to miss 3 times to not get the benefit of Iri head. 3 misses out of a max of 3 for the penalty.

You also have to remember that it works from any range, including point-blank. It's basically Billy's chainsaw but it is a lot harder to miss, doesn't block the Killer's vision at all, doesn't have a penalty for missing, and can ignore pallets and windows.

  • I often don't run add-ons, since I mostly play Blight who has a perfect base kit, but when I do with Deathslinger I always use two different ones.

You weren't playing when you could get mori'd at the start were you? god help you'd quit lol

No of course I wasn't, and I'm glad I wasn't. It was OP enough when it required 1 hook. You'd quit if DS was still as it used to be after they actually balanced something for once, and original DS was still more balanced than the first nerf of moris.

  • @SasukeKun said:

i do not like that they changed mori's again, AGAIN. with all the survivor perks they should just make it so after they get unhooked once they can no longer be killed for the rest of the trial. Devs always just listen to complaining survivors who suck at the game.

@Peanits ruining the killer experience with every patch. Man i was excited about that patch notes list until i saw that addition. Next they gonna take Mori's out completely cuz survivors dont wanna die in dead by daylight.

I personally wanted different Mori's for the different killers

EDIT: Some seem to think i'm talking about a Free win, if anyone didn't know or doesnt play killer. Mori's only granted you less than 15k or somethin which sometimes made "entity displeased". They should have tweaked survivor's keys before they touch more pinks on killers side. Survivors have a whole arsenal

We get it, you have so many hours and ######### but can't get good. Yes moris were a free 4k, not particularly a win but still a 4k.

Now they're nerfed, boohoo. Survivors have keys, which guarantee a max of 2 escapes most of the time. If its 3 or more they would've probably escaped anyways. Yes, keys need a nerf, but not as much of a nerf as moris needed.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

I'm solo survivor and I miss the pressure a mori would put on my team to play seriously. They now have 0 effect other than increasing teabagging from survivors that know it won't happen.

Just because you're too bad to get 2 hooks and a down after tunneling off the second hook, then avoiding all forms of stopping the hook for free, doesn't mean moris are useless.

Spirit hasnt been able to bump into Survivors for a long time.

Damn, BHVR did something that the community wanted? I've missed a lot, huh.

    Thanks for telling me.

  • @Leonardo1ita said:

The Killers i find are never toxic, they are just using perks such as noed, and survivors mainly consider tunneling, camping and slugging "toxic", when it's actually what you must do to win against strong players, but plebs with never understand

Camping is pretty toxic though, coming from a Killer main. You get nothing from camping at all. Patrolling is effective while still doing what you should, but downright camping is just a waste of time and actively toxic.

Plus, Killers can be stupid and mean sometimes, see:

    "Just cleanse"

    "Spirit can be countered"

"Revert the mori nerf Survivor too op waaaaa"

The Servant is a tall, faceless man with chains running down past his arms and broken up shackles attached to his feet - these features being the product of his servitude to The Fog. Because of these bindings, The Servant makes noise separate from and larger than his Terror Radius (like the Huntress) in the form of his chains/shackles rattling as he moves.

PASSIVE ABILITY: Because of his binding pact to The Fog, it envelops him - any space outside of The Servant's Terror Radius is haunted by intense presence of The Fog (the equivalent of four stacked Murky Reagents, or purple Dark Mist offerings, not only on the ground but a full environment of it). Within The Servant's TR, The Fog is reduced.

KILLER POWER: Succumb To Darkness - The Servant embraces his Master allowing The Fog to close in fully, suppressing his Terror Radius for a short duration. The Servant has a keen eye for disturbances in The Fog - while Succumb To Darkness is active, The Servant is granted a brief glimpse of any survivor's aura who is crouch-walking every 3 seconds, walking every 2 seconds, or running every 1 second.

SPECIAL ABILITY: Serve Your Master - Hold the Power Button to charge Serve Your Master. As the ability charges, The Servant twirls the chain wrapped around his right arm, releasing the Power Button to throw it forward.

-A survivor who has been struck by a chain once is afflicted by the Hindered status effect and suffers slower interaction speeds as long as the chain remains wrapped around them.

-A survivor who has been struck by a chain twice suffers the Imprisoned status effect and is held captive - remaining locked in a stationary state.

-Any survivor may interact with one's own chain-restraints or another's to break one off at a time, requiring a small amount of consecutive successful skill checks for each chain-restraint. If one survivor helps another survivor with their chains, less consecutive skills checks are required to break the chains. If the survivor frees from the Imprisoned status effect, they return to being restrained by one chain until it, too, is broken.

That's all I've thought of for now, friends! I'm really bad at coming up with good and original perks, but maybe I could come up with some lore for this idea.

PLEASE feel free to constructively criticize, and help to generate some perks or lore for The Servant!

    Thanks for reading, everyone :)

    -Blue

How fast is this Killer, how big are their base terror radius?

The first power is good and fitting, I like it, but the second is... aaaa. People don't like Deathslinger because of how he ignores a Survivor's skill, and this is giving me Deathslinger vibes except he can easily hit you over pallets and can move freely while you're trapped. Also, how much range does this have?

I'm pretty sure every add-on in the game is linked to a killers power in some way. This add-on would work far better as a per imo.

BHVR obviously isnt opposed to making them not effect the Killer's power, shown with the original Mother's Helpers.

  • @AetherBytes said:

And remember, these are idea, opinions to build upon with criticism. Feel free to mark yourself as toxic by saying "lol baby killer" because I've realized how actually broken these are by playing survivor.

Now, the ol' reliable argument starter, Decisive Strike.

Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds or until healed a health state. The timer pauses whilst in the dying state.

While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.

    • Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
    • Working on a generator or totem will deactivate Decisive Strike.
    • Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.

Increases the odds of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

"There's nothing to be scared of." — Laurie Strode

Speaks for itself. Survivor gets the ton of immunity DS brings at the cost of no progression until they give it up.

    ----

Here's another argument starter, OoO (or as I like to call it, "Monkey See, Monkey Loop")

A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.

If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal their Aura to you. If the killer looks in your direction during this, your link will reveal your aura to them and hide theirs.

This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius .

As the Killer's Obsession , this effect applies to a maximum range of 56/64/72 metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 metres.

Increases the odds of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

"He was watching me!" — Laurie Strode

Not much of a change, except that now it becomes more dangerous to run it as it becomes possible to give the killer info if you don't use it carefully.

    ----

    Unbreakable

You refuse to let your group die.

Whilst in the dying state and another survivor is hooked on second stage or in the dying state, you will passively gain a health state over 30/26/22 seconds. If the activation requirements are no longer met before being healed, the passive gain will pause and resume when met again. Unbreakable has a cooldown of 60 seconds after gaining the health state.

    • Increases the Dying State Recovery speed by 25/30/35 %.

"Goddammit, I am seriously FUBAR!" — Bill Overbeck

    ----

    Adrenaline

You are fuelled by unexpected energy when on the verge of escape.

Gain endurance for 15/20/25s and sprint at 120 % of your normal Running speed for 5 seconds when the Exit Gates are powered.

Adrenaline is on hold if you are disabled at the moment it triggers and will instead activate upon being freed.

If playing against The Nightmare (and not actively in a chase | best leave this out until he gets nerfs), Adrenaline will wake you from the Dream World upon activation.

Adrenaline overrides any current exhaustion and triggers exhaustion for 3s

No more getting saved 2 minutes down the line because of a free health state, but it will give you an extra chance in an active chase. also, instead of only a forced SB, with a quick cooldown of exhaustion (so as to not stack SB and this) will allow any exhaustion perk. A neat tradeoff, more utility for a nerf in how well it keeps you alive in the endgame.

    ----

I plan to probably do a killer one later, but for now im going to go watch YT. What do you guys think of the above changes?

I really like all of these changes! Though, OoO should specify that it doesn't show when it's active, so Killers with the Undetectable status effect are actually undetectable. Otherwise, all great changes!

  • None of these Killers need to be nerfed. Imo no Killers need an actual nerf, Spirit just needs to move grass while phasing or yknow, not bump into Survivors.

  • @Toxicity23 said:

I'm asking this because Spine Chill and Premonition can bypass Undetectable. Rendering it completely useless against perks that have it as it's main focus, and by extension,

Tier 1 Myers, Wraith's Cloak, Pig's Crouch, and Ghost face's stealth mode.

Does Undetectable need a buff? or does Spine chill + Premonition need a nerf? (I'm thinking the former because people will protect Premonition.)

No one uses Premonition, and Spine Chill is exploitable. Plus, stealth killers are bad anyways, these two perks don't contribute all that much to that.

i wanted to see more from the survivors perspective tbh

For polls about an entire Killer, it's important to allow feedback for everything, including playing the Killer itself.

This Killer isn't fun to play because it promotes bad ways of play, as well as having glaring bugs that have yet to be fixed.

  • @claudtheshadowgod said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885754#Comment_1885754

make up your mind its either broken or not you just contradicted yourself its broken simple as that have you watched the devs play home boi straight up hid in a locker with blood stains and scratch marks on the ground. the devs are the problem they dont know the mechanics of their own game and refuse to listen to the community lmao

I... didn't? A combo DS is in can be considered broken, but by itself it's fine. Unless you're playing a lower tier Killer, or someone like Oni without your power almost fully charged, since they can gain so much distance.

The main thing with perks is you have to balance them around all Killers. Better Killers are mildly annoyed by DS, but worse Killers have to be careful of it lest they have an extra 30 seconds added to a chase.

Where did I 'contradict' myself, anyways?

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885663#Comment_1885663

So it needing a nerf doesn't come from being op, but you just explained how it's op and not used primarily what it's intended use is. You sound like you know what the perks do and why they are overpowered but you just don't want a challenge when playing survivor like most i see. Cool im rank 1, i wasted time? That's pretty rude. I feel i spent time on this game since 2016 when there was 3 killers and im passionate about balanced gameplay. Why do you think survivor ques are so long? nobody wants to play killer, clean your eyes

I go out of my way as Survivor to not use DS. I want DS to be changed, but as a Killer I am not overly affected by it. Unbreakable/DS combo is broken, but DS itself is not.

That was towards the Devotion 10, I have 750 hours and I'm devotion 1 (almost devotion 2.)

I'm aware why Survivor Queue takes so long. It's harder to rank up as Killer. Why do you think Survivor Queues are so long at lower ranks?

BTW DS by itself isn't op at all, it's just annoying at most to high tier Killers others than the Oni.

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885627#Comment_1885627

also keys got left alone and again in this patch, do did DS and many other OP ass survivor perks.

DS' need for a rework doesn't come from being OP. Against the best Killers its just mildly annoying at worst, but it's because it's not used for its intended purpose, instead being used as a minute long shield from all attacks. This is a problem, but it's not OP, it's just degenerate.

I can't do anything about that, but Survivors do not need a nerf.

    Keys. Do.

But I can't make executive decisions. I agree with the point you're trying to make but you're not making it and I think you're too Killer sided to see things unbiasly. Are Survivors more powerful and easier to play in a group than Killers? Yes. Is it by so much that they can't have any tools at all? NO.

Solo queue is also effected by these changes.

    @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885643#Comment_1885643

i dont need a lesson, i have other posts showing my rank, my devotion and i am one of those people who unfortunately deals with these groups that you prob haven't reached yet

Cool, you're rank 1. I'm rank 2. Devotion 10? Impressive I guess, just shows how much time you've wasted on DBD. You seem to play Legion a lot, from what I'm gathering, and that's a problem. Legion struggles with pressuring gens. I play Blight, and yeah gen speeds are insane sometimes, but most of the time if a gen pops I know why I wasn't there to prevent it, often because I stayed in a chase too long.

There's almost always a reason you lost. You're not perfect, you make mistakes. Figure out what they are in order to improve and be able to combat SWF.

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885627#Comment_1885627

I don't agree, you failed to mention many of the other things survivors have in their disposal to constantly run the killer around in voice chat while the other gen rush. The Meta build for survivors needs changing, i don't think you've been up against survivors who are all at rank 1, in voice chat, bring all the forgiving perks x4 and keys and what have you. Don't forget survivors have OOO which takes the stealth away from the killer further. Bills perks allow quick success saves and he even has one that tells you where hatch is. Even if the killer found it first, and you had a key, CLICK and you win. Survivor needs nerf

Survivor doesn't need a nerf. Keys do. Must I repeat myself further?

Yes a sweaty 4 man SWF can be oppressive to some, but they are beatable. It's something called pressure and game sense.

Here's how you beat a 4 man: Focus on keeping them off of generators at the beginning of the game, downing the first survivor is important, but decreasing gen progress is even moreso. Hook your first Survivor and then hook another as fast as you physically can, while still keeping them off of gens (if the 5th one has not yet been completed). Slug when it is a good idea, slugging is a very powerful ability you have and if you do it properly Unbreakable shouldn't be too much of an issue, seeing as you usually slug 2 people close together who you can both quickly down.

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885503#Comment_1885503

No it doesn't in this type of game setting you either hide successfully and make it out or die. Survivors have way to many forgiving shortcuts through the match as it is

    They have enough, you mean?

Also we all know stealth is ineffective. If stealth was the only way to win, this game would have died years ago.

Keys are the same as moris in the aspect that they reward you for doing half of your entire job. Getting 3 hooks? Nahhh you only need 1 for a kill. Completing 5 gens? Nahhh you only need to complete 3 for 2 people to escape. But even then, Survivors have to put in more effort in order to get into a situation to use the key, while the Killer does not.

Also, Killers have a lot of tools as well. BBQ is just free BP ontop of an amazing aura reading perk. Ruin is free gen regression for doing your job. Pop is free generator regression, but with a cost of having to cause the regression.

Everyone has OP things in this game, that's how it is. BUT none of it is more op than what the other side has. Just scummy. Keys are scummy, and a bit OP. But moris were also scummy, and VERY op.

  • This is pretty good, I like this change. Not as harsh of a change as I have suggested, but it definitely works as a middle ground while still serving its intended purpose perfectly.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1805255#Comment_1805255

Mori's are the only reliable counter to keys, which are untouched. That is the problem with this. Nobody disagreed that they both needed changes, but they need to happen at the same time.

Also personally i don't think making them based on 2nd hook is a good idea. This effectively makes them useless. The mori animation often takes longer than just hooking, and when using a mori you lose out on hook perks like BBQ/Pop/Thrilling. The only thing they are good for now is tunneling a survivor on their last hook, which isn't fun for anyone.

    A better mori rework:

    • Ebony and Ivory Moris now work on a token system, every time you hook a survivor you gain 1 token, every time survivors complete a generator, you lose 1 token. Spend 4 tokens to mori a downed survivor.
    • Ivory mori allows you to do this 1 time.
    • Ebony mori allows you to do this 2 times. When the trial begins, the generator furthest from the killer is automatically completed.
    • Yellow mori is now basekit.

But it also ignores Decisive Strike, Flashlights, Breakout, firecrackers, pallet stuns, and body blocking. It also doesn't waste a hook, which is incredibly helpful.

Your suggestion for Ebony and Ivory moris is... fine? It's not necessary as moris are fine being just cool and avoiding some stupid scenarios, but they work. Ebony mori seems like a downgrade from how it is currently, though.

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1805225#Comment_1805225

you say that with ur OP perks and pink keys which guarantees a free escape most of the time

Keys aren't okay either, but moris were worse. Killers have a hard early game, and a mori cuts unfairly to the easiest part of the game for Killers by instantly killing a Survivor.

Keys do not guarantee a free escape for more than 2 Survivors most of the time, but moris are a guaranteed win unless you're actually so trash you can't get 1 hook and tunnel off hook, then capitalize on killing a Survivor before the first gen is done.

Both sides have OP perks, next.

Moral of the story: You're stupid, stop crying about your free win button being made to be helpful, but not broken.

Was I harsh here? Yes. Is it undeserved? Read this crap for yourself.

  • Hex: Undying doesn't need the second nerf. The nerfed version given originally was fine, but either way its name doesn't need to change. Though Hex: Dead would be pretty funny

  • @KoolDude555 said:

I get camped every game I play by the killer. That just makes the game not fun to play. Why can't Dead by Daylight team do something about this?

There's not much they can do about it, honestly.

Camping is going to happen in every game like this, it's a downside to such a good concept. It's the Killer's choice and it effects the Killer the most, in my opinion. Unless the other Survivors are stupid, a Killer will never get more than one kill by facecamping.

Yeah it sucks as Survivor, but if you're worried you could play in a way to not get found first. And plus, you could always try to find the humor in a baby Killer staring at you and hoping Bloodpoints just appear and their rank goes up.

I worked out my favourite movies of all time about 6 months ago. I recently rewatched The Departed and it made me remember that list.

The question is what is your top 10 movies but you don't need to fill that all out. You can just name your favourite and a bit about why you love it.

Before I mention my list I want to make a few things clear.

    • Some of these are based of nostalgia. One in particular I know isn't considered a good movie but it's one that I loved as a child and could still watch easily today.
    • The order will probably change based off which movie I saw most recently but the top 10 will still be the same.

    Ok here's my list:

    1. The Dark Knight
    2. The Incredibles
    3. Django Unchained
    4. Inception
    5. The Wolf Of Wall Street
    6. Kill Bill 1
    7. Chicago
    8. Goodfellas
    9. The Departed
    10. Doom

Leonardo DiCaprio I can't give the man enough praise. The thing that shocks me is when I look over this list only one of them has Jack Nicholson. Rewatching The Departed just reminded me of why he's one of my favourite actors of all time.

Bet it won't take long to find out what bad movie made my list lol

    Probably, in no particular order:

    • Spider Man: Into the Spiderverse
    • The Incredibles
    • Alien
    • A Silent Voice/The Shape of Voice

And that's all I can think of. I need to watch more movies.

  • I personally hope for a fire based Killer, specifically the Pyro from TF2.

My ideas for the Killer are posted in Creations if anyone shares the interest.

  • @Dr_Loomis said:

She has a stealth capabilities and a lunge attack.

Surveillance is one of the strongest killer perks and is highly effective with Pig. Make Your Choice is also favorable.

Some of her add-ons, like Amanda's Letter, make her even more powerful.

Equip some other perks like Nurse's Call, and the Pig's combination of stealth and charging attacks are highly effective.

Her traps however, are seriously flawed and need work. As her 'main power', there is a lack of threat when having a Reverse Bear Trap attached to your head. This shouldn't be the case.

There are some great aspects of the Saw franchise which, license allowing, could really make the Pig feel an even more authentic play experience.

I'm going to use this as a basis for the start of my reasonings for voting low tier.

Stealth Killers are not good in this game. Pig's vision is worse than Blight's while crouching, and has no peripheral vision. Her stealth is ruined by how much noise she makes when exiting it, as well.

The only stealth Killer that can even be considered Mid-tier is Ghostface, because his stealth ability doesn't slow him down to use, and can be used instantly in chase. So it's used not as a stealth tool in the traditional sense when it's most viable, which is in a chase with high walls. His terror radius disappearing doesn't invite the Survivor to run away because they can just get to a better loop like Pig's crouch does.

Ontop of this, he has an instant down ability in good scenarios (by good scenarios I mean a bug where the game doesn't register you staring at him). Meanwhile, the Pig's secondary power is entirely random and basically useless if the Survivors are lucky, but oppressive if they aren't.

Even greater, her stealth power almost never can get a free hit for her. Stealth Killers rely on the free first hit they usually get, Pig usually cant because of the loud noise and lack of speed she has. Going back to Ghostface, he never loses speed, and yes usually does rely on his crouch to approach, but his uncrouch is infinitely faster, and he makes no noise while uncrouching.

Pig also entirely lacks the abilities to capitalize on the slowdown her secondary power provides (given the rng is in the Pig's favor, which it usually is not), seeing as her main power makes her slower.

I just layer one day did pretty good but they were idiots played yesterday not one survivor kill as I said above. The power is booboo garbage. All matches I used it they of course got a way because you can’t down which is stupid and promptly all healed and I must have been playing with wizards as the speed at which they repair d those generators made my head spin so much it should have fallen off. The survivors are in way to good of a spot for Legion do *-all. It’s honestly giving me ptsd with how respawn handle The Ion titan from TF2. made her the mascot for being useless. kinda like how you guys are doing with legion. I feel no love for legion I layers. Frenzy should be able to down. Legion should have a higher than average sprint speed as with how out there they are can see them from a mile away with no way to down survivors. Or how about no stun from it ending none what so ever then at least they could catch something. Maybe because they are so small they should have little to no terror radius. Or a terror radius but no stain like Micheal. And I dont want to hear thats to much from 2 guys with no red stain and can instadown. But sweet Jesus make them faster...damn. Also probably not the place to do it but would like to request an all black outfit for frank and a mask with red eyes. And I mean deep black not the black green thing that is Frank’s regular jacket. I own a jacket that looks better than Frank’s. Those who saw my last post probably think I’m beating a dead horse but I’m going to keep beating it until there is no meat on the bone and keep going until the bones are powder. LEGION NEEDS A DAMN FREAKING BUFF. End of story bye bye, see you later. Also how do I change my profile picture. Please and thank you.

Legion is fine. Not good, but in a good spot. They're not broken, they're not overly buggy. Their power works and it works fine, even with base kit. That's why people have problems with Wraith and Trapper but not Legion, because those two are so add-on dependent that without specific add-ons it's an auto loss.

Backwater Swamp. It's way too big and visually it looks dull and boring.

To me, Backwater Swamp is much more manageable than the other colossal maps. At least that is for the Pale Rose, I hate the Grim Pantry.

  • Haddonfield is pain and suffering. There's no structure to it at all, no path to go, no way to tell where Survivors are as Killer because you spawn in the middle of the map, and theres a safe (or at least somewhat safe) everything within touching distance of EVERY GENERATOR.

All of these need reworks though, except the Laboratory. I personally think it's fine.

I threw a bunch of post’s i see often (or atleast are persistent) that I’m getting personally tired of :P, anyways, what’s getting annoying to see all the time? (Also, I feel sorry for the dev’s having to look through some of these same old posts)

Why do you think most of these are listed? Because there are explicit problems with design that the devs are completely ignoring.

Spirit is a Killer that should be built on 50/50s, which are more like 90/10's (Spirit favor) with Stridor. 70/30 otherwise.

The devs nerf things that they absolutely shouldn't all the time, as well, like the Thanatophobia nerf a few months ago (which has not been reverted).

People are uninstalling because of the crappy state the game has been in since it has been released, and they're tired of it.

DS is not a perk that is used to prevent tunneling, about 30-40% of the time. That's a lot for a perk so powerful, that it can be used in so many cases where it really shouldn't be given the intended design. Do you understand how easy it is, with DS and Unbreakable, to just hop on a gen the second you get unhooked because the Killer can't do anything about it?

My -other- is all the nerf (insert killer name) posts. Killer population is already dwindling (notice the influx of “why are survivor Q times so long”) , so keep on clamouring to nerf every killer and enjoy longer and longer Q.

Personally this is the only thing said here that is legitimately annoying at times, with little merit. Queue times are because of the players, not the devs, complaining to them about it won't do anything.

In my opinion, Dead By Daylight never should have went the direction it did.

When dbd was first released it was far more stealth oriented then it is right now, and in my opinion it should have stayed that way. It just doesn't feel right to me that a puny little survivor can run the bloodthirsty killer around a piece of wood for 10 minutes.

For obvious reasons, it's far to late to completely change the foundations of the game, so I'll take a new game mode.

If this game was still stealth-oriented, it would have died a long time ago. Stealth is inherently not fun to me and I'm sure many other players, at least not to the extent of the chase. The Killer playing hide and seek instead of tag constantly is not nearly as fun.

Also the Killer is not a Killer, they're a dumbass behind a screen. This game isn't a horror game because of that. Survivors don't fear most Killers (I personally am scared of Wraith because I'm blind, Hag because I'm stupid, and Oni because AAAAAA) because of that, as well.

  • Ive never seen anyone say that. By code foundation, maybe, the foundation of the code (but not the code itself, they know how to do that much now) is not suitable to such a large game, explaining the multiple bugs whenever something unrelated is changed.

Either way, though, I feel like this game could use something different. The formula it has right now is good, but something extra but seperate wouldn't hurt.

  • I, myself, am not personally content with how this game is. The concept is cool, the balance is the best it's ever been, but it's still a buggy mess built on a flimsy framework. Ontop of that, newer Killers are often forcing interactions in which the Survivor lives and dies ONLY on the Killers skill and not their own. These are the reasons why, as a game, I am not entirely content with the current state of DBD.

As a product, I am even less content. This game, for all of the content that effects the game, costs $70 and hundreds of hours of playtime. If you don't want to waste your life to see the original Killers, then make that $140. If you want cosmetics or the good parts of the Rift? $150 or more. For a game as buggy as this one, without any competition in it's genre, with little to no effort put in in a timely manner to improve, this is not okay.

Now, as far as fun is concerned? I love this game. It is an amazing game I've spent almost 750 hours on in 2 years.

pick one or maybe two and till us who is your main? mine is (Dwight, feng)🙂

Nancy, just cuz Inner Strength is the only perk I wanted besides the ones I already have. Also her model is small and makes it easier to hide, and she doesn't sound like a jet plane like Meg.

  • A key, because it basically guarantees a free escape for 1 Survivor if I do my job correctly.

  • I don't mind slugging because it's an efficient way to win the game. Without tunneling or camping, it's the only way to win at higher ranks, because you will basically never win a 12 hook game. Unless the Survivors are meming, you will always lose if you do not camp, tunnel and/or slug. Slugging is the nicest and the most skill intensive of the 3.

  • Lithe is (in my opinion) the most versatile, as well as actively allows you to choose when to use it almost as much as even Dead Hard does, seeing as you can run in a straight line for a pretty damn long time against most Killers.

  • It's fine because it's an auto loss for the Killer. An efficient group of Survivors (unless its Leatherface) can save the Survivor on hook and complete 2-3 gens during the time they are hooked. I'd do nothing to fix it, it just ruins the Killer's day more than anything.

  • It'd be pretty cool to post stupid replays I have, or replays of games that pissed me off in order for people to laugh along or explain a way I could have done better.
