The solo survivor builds I'm using right now consists of:
- Kindred / Alert / Bond - Informative
- Dead Hard / Sprint Burst / Balanced Landing - Chase Extension
- We'll Make It / We're Going To Live Forever / Borrowed Time - Support
- Detective's Hunch / Prove Thyself / Deja Vu - Objectives
-
sadly you gotta play the stealth game cause you won't even last that long versus a good spirit

I really dont wanna another weak killer. Like camper Twins or real clown Trickster.
We need good killer, there is already so much weak killers. Nurse and Spirit only 2 S-Tier. I hope this time we will get good one, then my money will not go to garbage again.
Twins isn't weak, just really annoying.

shouldn't have ever been removed tbh
Hell no, that sh*t was the reason why hatch stand-offs existed.
That should stay buried.

We all know Trickster right now is probably one of the weakest killers in the game, only beaten by the trapper or, some would argue, the Clown. I play Trickster on rank 1 and while i have a lot of fun and usually win, when playing on big maps and with decent survivors, it's almost unbeliveable how helpless it feels to play him, even with meta perks such as Tinkerer and Ruin.
I was discussing with some friends and even some survivors i played against how to improve this killer. He has such a fun and unique mechanic, it's sad how weak he is. One idea that comes up often is improving his speed.
110% killers work because their abilities can remove one health state from survivors easily, both huntress and deathslinger can achieve this from a distance, hag can teleport next to survivors and spirit, well, she can do a lot with her ability.
However, Trickster can only injure survivors after 8 hits with his knives and while throwing these knives he is slower than survivors. While addons improve both aspects of his ability, they don't improve it by a lot.
A decent survivor only has to find a jungle gym and he is essentially safe from the Trickster. If he can mindgame well enough, he can make the chase last for at least 2 gens.
The idea is giving him 115% speed, sort of like the plague, so he can actually have less of hard time chasing survivors. Maybe keep his throwing speed at his actual %, just improve his base speed, not only to help him on this type of loops but to also make him viable on certain maps. Some maps are so big, 110 speed makes it impossible to pressure more than one survivor at a time, especially when you can't injure them quickly.
So what do you guys think? Maybe it would be too oppresive or is it actually a decent idea? Maybe improving his speed but nerfing something else?
Not to mention, it doesn't make any sense for a fat clown with lung problems to run faster than a dude on his twenties.
Trickster is pretty okay in low wall loops but he's incredibly weak when you use transitional kiting tactics instead.

Because anyone can write their own SCP, it's usually about as good as your average fan fiction...
Not entirely true, it's completely discourages bad writing.
Your work has to be judged by the community if it's even worth putting it on the list.
Going on a bad article spree will be a great toll on your account.
However there is some very clever articles that require little writing.

That's splitting hairs, since She is the realm. She's everything except the survivors, killers, and Maurice.
Technically still counts as a "SCP". The Entity's Realm counts as a Pocket Dimension Class.
-
Trickster is actually quite decent in many loops.
It's just he sucks at everything else.

You do the same thing you do with other killers, you enter ultra-stealth mode and make them waste time searching for you.

I guess survivors always find something to complain about:
- when the killer camps
- when the killer doesn't camp
- when the killer tunnels
- when the killer doesn't tunnel
There really is no winning.
Oh now your gaslighting too
-
With the new hook counters now I can effectively protect teammates that need a "extra" health state. (Protection Hits)
-
I only play Solo Queue, despite being very selfless sometimes the best way to win is to save yourself.
I try to pull my weight when there's something lacking in one sector. (No one doing generators, No one going for rescues, No one drawing attention)

Now I feel like you've never played against Wraith. He not only has intense map pressure, but he has Coup De Grace with a speed boost by default. That's badly unbalanced.
Yooo holy sh*t my guy that makes Nurse's lunge look pathetic as hell.
You can't buy time with unsafe loops cause he can literally swing the whole away around it lmao.
-
@Tsulan said:
Wait a second... are you really complaining that the Wraith is going 40 meters away, instead of camping the hook while invisible?
No, what I'm saying is it's extremely dangerous as the rescuer. I'm not finding the right strategy to counter that. Not because of whatever the hell you said.
Wraith's speed buff allows him to break chase and go towards the last known location.
Thanks for straw manning my statement Bill.

I've mentioned a few times how much i want Nemesis as the RE killer, and i've heard many people say how a rocket launcher won't work in the came. I can see why and even made a discussion asking how you would make a rocket launcher work.
But if we think about it, Nemesis wouldn't need a rocket launcher, the Devs could give it new abilities.
I haven't played Silent Hill, but i have see Pyramid Head in gameplay and i don't think it leaves a wired trail behind.
Maybe the Devs could give Nemesis a new ability, maybe something to do with tentacles or its ability to mutate.
What do you guys think?
The thing is about crossovers is you got to adapt it to the gameplay itself. Yeah Pyramid head doesn't usually leave trails or launch a ranged attack but if we had actual Pyramid Head we would take 3 minutes to get to the other side of the map.
Rocket Launcher sounds op but there has to be some kind of restriction for that to happen, also might be a little to extreme for DBD lol.

Survivor Perk: Beacon
"Light reveals danger before it reaches their next victim."
(Forest Warden Survivor)
When your within 16 meters of a completed generator your Aura is revealed to all survivors.
If a survivor other than you gets hit within 16 meters of a completed generator the killer is revealed to you for 6/8/10 seconds.
If you got hit within that radius the killer's aura is revealed to all other survivors for 4/6/8 seconds.
-
Mechanically the perk is completely inconvenient.
It needs to change effects entirely.
-
The only issue I got with Dead Hard is that sometimes you can still get hit upon activation.
I was more hoping for:
While Injured this perk can now be activated while running.
Activating Dead Hard grants 2 seconds of endurance then applies a 80/70/60 second exhaustion.
The bleed-out lasts 10 seconds, if not treated the user will go into the Dying State.
-
I had 2 Micheals with Monitor and Abuse, pretty spooky back to back.
Both were indoormaps so he could just pop around any corner without warning.
-
The asymmetrical survival genre is not an easy game to design around.
You have to deal with hard bias and balances 24/7.
-
I kinda wish there was a suicide button if that situation were to occur.
Well make it be held down, instantly suiciding on down is toxic as hell.
-
My reasoning for choosing Purple:
Purple is where most of the "better" players are. But is also not as sweaty, I often see killers and survivors use experimental perk builds more than red-ranked matches. Which adds more variety and unexpected situations.
-
@White_Owl said:
Only works on solo repairs.
It would be really cool if it even affects other teammate's repair noises.
-
I agree about Jeff, I main him.
Jeff players are usually friendly and is more inclined for teamwork both in tactics and perk choices.
-
Killers should burst through the breakable wall instead of just kicking/hacking it down. That way it's still an obstacle but can allow the killer to ambush and position into a chase better.

Bring a map if you can't find them normally then.
"Bring a perk to counter this, bring an item to counter that."
You can't prepare for every scenario, and considering that maps are kind of rare to even get in the blood web it's not a consistent way of knowing in every match. If I was doing my treasure hunter build maybe but it's not the same as knowing without the help of items or perks. Solo players were always more limited in options if they play to survive. If I had a huge stockpile of maps I probably would but I don't, until I dump everything into one character I can start to properly stockpile since the perks won't take up the web anymore.
-
If the game is making you feel more upset than you should be, best to stop playing and play another game or something else.
I played League of Legends for years. When I was younger Ranked used to make me so pissed that at one point my hair actually fell out and created a bald spot, 2 of them in fact!
I decided it would be better to play more casually and it worked out so well. I will miss my Gold 2 rank but my rage was threatening my physical health as well as my mental health.
Games that really will chill you out or calm you down are:
- Farming Sims like Stardew Valley & Slime Rancher
- Replayable adventures/roguelike-rougelite games such as Loop Hero (Loving that new game so far.)
- Party games like Fall Guys (Assuming your not a tryhard for winning crowns.)
- Mystery/Investigation games like Dangaropa
It's okay to play competitive, but it's always good to know when to stop.

Nah, at the end of the game, or as you come across them on the way to other objectives. Prioritizing is a thing in this game.
But you are still at the mercy of your teammates doing totems too. You still don't know what the hell they're doing, you could do 4 totems and not know if the 5th one was done. This isn't a problem with SWF, but as a solo survivor, most of the information is just what you currently see and hear around you.
-
I usually just play Myers Tier 2 with Monitor and Abuse, I still have that sneak advantage while being at normal speed.

If you know the maps well enough you just look for the spawns. There's also a pretty predictable logic in the spawns. I don't know why this is such an issue for people.
So your saying, I should actually waste my time running into each possible totem spawn to count, instead of doing the generators. Which also is a death sentence if the killer is good. Yeah, it's predictable, but you still have to run all the way to check.
-
@Masterninja said:
I wish that they change it in this:
Increases aura reading radius of all teammates 8/10/12 and aura reading duration in a 25%.
This way you can synergize it with other perks. For more uses, and variety in builds.
I think it's more simple to add 1/2/3 seconds instead of a percentage.

Have you guys really never counted totems before...
Counting ain't the problem, it's the fact as a solo survivor you will never know if there's still a totem around without using a totem hunting perk.
Oh, do you expect me to use x-ray vision to see behind walls and those really obscure bushes in Badham? Unlike SWF you don't get the liberty to know.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Nah, that's way too much info and hand-holding. Just count 5.

4 Perks that Solo Survivors use often.
Kindred: There's always that awkward moment where no one is going to rescue you because they think someone else will.
Iron Will: Sometimes the best course of action is to make sure you are not found.
We'll Make It: That healing Speed is just ridiculous.
Dead Hard/Sprint Burst: A little advantage in chases, you gotta look out for yourself too.
-
@Terro said:
Make him look normal at the start of the match. The closer the trickster is to using his power the main event the more charred and disfigured his hands look to the killer and he looks to the survivors. Now it gives a visual cue for both sides when his main event power is coming up, plus he'll be more horror looking.
Outside of matches have the trickster phase in and out of both appearances.
I think when his MAIN EVENT is activated there should be a purple spotlight following him.

Or if they reduce the number of knife hits needed to change health state, like from 8 to 5. Either way, I feel devs will buff him slightly one way or another before release.
I say down to 6, 5 might be a little too strong considering he basically doesn't care if he misses, you got 50 other knives. Also considering there's no "recovery" period if he misses, unlike deathslinger or huntress.
-
Actually I think there’s a more simple way to buff him.
Either do:
- Increase his carried knives from 60 to 80
- Increase his movespeed to 4.6m/s
- Survivors no longer get speed boosted when injured by throwing knives.
It doesn’t have to be all of them at once, just tweak 1 of these and I think he’ll improve.

As a survivor, Kindred. Don't care if I'm in a 4 stack, Kindred is on. It's just too useful information wise and lets me shot call without needing to hear where everyone is.
As killer...the one I think I run on most of my killers nowadays is Surge, actually. Have it on PHead, Wraith, Legion, Slinger, and Demo, and that's most of who I play nowadays...only don't on Blight because you get so many power hits. It's just such a nice time saver.
Kindred is the holy grail of solo survivors. Without it, everyone drops 20 IQ for some reason.

At least this killer doesn’t have breathing problems like all the others.

This is a everyday ocasion in absolute any horror media. We don't want FNaF because it sucks, doesn't fit the game and the Fanbase is also a #########
Dude not even Micheal Myers kills 8 year olds.
William does it multiple times, Freddy is depicted to kill teenagers but not children that young.
Also got his son insane for leaving all the murders on him.

I like the idea.
My only problem with this is.. Survivors are just reskins of one another, playing as a different one won't matter.
Playing as a random killer might be a problem for some. Not everyone is at ease with every killer. But then again.. I guess it's no worse than leveling up a new killer and using up whatever the entity decides to give you in the bloodweb. I've been leveling a few different killers lately and I sure ain't getting the perks I wish I were, so I make do with what I have, and honestly, I enjoyed using some of the perks I got forced to use cause the rest sucked. (And if all else fails, just play the killer as an m1 killer and ignore the power completely, I know that's what I do on killers I just cant get the power to work right.. or I overuse it to get used to how it works, and dont care if I win or lose)
One question though.. The random perks would be picked from what you have unlocked on the random character you get assigned? Or out of the entire pool of perks available for you in the web even if you didn't unlock them on the random character you end up getting?
1: I mentioned the survivor that was chosen for you is guaranteed to have their first perk that comes with them. (Eg. Laurie will always get 1 of 3 of her unique perks.) Almost like makes them feel more unique due to the no duplicate perks rule for the survivor teams.
2: All perks and characters are unlocked and at level 3 to prevent unfairness among newer and older players, it can feature dlc perks that the player doesn’t even own.
3: This gamemode is designed to throw in chaoticness, encourages players to try different killers and different perk sets. Even when losing the triple bp makes up for it.

You just spam windows that's all it is.
I have encountered multiple tiles that literally have no vault-able windows, since the game decides which door is open and which window is closed. It can create some crazy good loops but it can also create the biggest dead zones.

Because FNAF is for five year olds, and we don’t want any more five year olds in the game than we have already. For Pete’s sake! Can we have one freaking game that isn’t hello kitty island adventures?! Let’s stick with a mature audience, or at least what’s left of one.
People might not realize the first game came out years ago and now most of the “kids” are like 17-18 now. For me now 21, lots of them still like Fnaf, hell I sure do. The jump-scares are cheesy but a serial killer who lures children as security guard is pretty mature content.
The games themselves is lighter but the story of Fnaf is kinda #########.

I understand what you mean but there are matches where no survivor have been hooked and %20 penalty can be unfair to them.
If you haven't hooked a survivor yet but some gens have been done already, your pretty much under massive pressure because you still have to hook them all. The survivors all together have "12" lives before their legit dead.
-

This can not be that reliable cause there are some matches where killer can not hook the survivors and it might damage them.
No no I think you misread it.
There would be a 20% Repair speed penalty if a survivor hasn't been hooked yet. That way it gives breathing room for the killer at the beginning. Also allows killers like Trapper to set up knowing they got a bit of time.
-
I would just place a 20% generator repair penalty until the first hook.
