SWF makes it survivor-dominated.
Full Solo Team is a dice roll.

"instead of Freddy, at first a change in his power was needed"
No, his rework was not needed. Old Freddy wasn't as bad as most people say he was. All he needed was a few QoL adjustments and he would have been perfect.
Nah, the rework was good.
I hated it when I went against a Freddy and I hated it when I was playing as Freddy.

New Update: They showed what seems to be a music player that rewinds. Is this related to the survivor? Or is it hinting what the killer could do?
-
The only change i’ll ever make for iridescent hatchets is:
- The projectile speed of the hatchets are 30% faster.
- The hatchets ignore gravity and they’ll fly straight.

But they're still immature kids at the end of the day. 18 is barely any life experience at all.
Can join the army to potentially kill some insurgents but isn't old enough to drink or smoke.
So strange, lol.
-
Often times afterpiece alone does not do enough to close the gap, however, when combined with antidote it can make impossible gap closers possible on most loops! It's actually really effective, sadly it seems most clowns don't know how to combo it.
-
It doesn't change the gameplay, just the character flavour, for what people can relate to.
There's no need to be so melodramatic if it's true.
People often overreact when it comes to representation, it doesn't directly affect you so why does it matter?
Edit: I remember the time when the devs of Dragon Age Inquisition got death threat spammed just because the game had gay and bisexual companions.

I've been on ps4 for the past three years. It doesn't make you miss. That's just an excuse bad players make.
Okay, apparently your a prestige legacy 2 nurse.
But your account is only 6 days old.
So you're telling me? You haven't made a dbd forum account for nearly 3 years? Forums where more devoted players are. People have been providing feedback for all of this time.
You were just dead silent over all those years? Until now?

You have only 700 hours? Come back when you have at least 3k. Then your experience will matter.
Jesus christ you remind me of one of those elitist world of warcraft players.
Also the ######### 3000 hours? Dude I would have to quit my job to play dbd every day.

It just seems really out of place. DbD Twitter has never done this before and the fact that the color of the supposed chapter is bright and vibrant, which is odd compared to how other chapters where presented, tells me something is up.
Maybe their Twitter got hacked by someone.
Dead by Daylight devs were always this cryptic, remember the plane ticket to Japan? That wasn't for any employee it was for Adam Francis, we have every reason to use the tin foil hats lol
-
This chapter seems more polished, I hope the quality matches up to the chapter.
-
It's basically a ranged Tier 3 Micheal Stab, the only issue is there are lots of ways for huntress to trap you and guarantee a hit especially with short loop pallets. Also considering the actual damage hitbox of the hatchet is basically a big basketball you can be downed in rather bullshit ways.
The major difference between a Nurse and a Huntress is you still get a second chance when struck by a nurse but with the Iridescent Hatchets, you basically cut the chase in half cause you only need to land one throw. Which forces survivors to play as a mega scumbag when dealing with it. Crouching at pallets doesn't work if she aims it slightly low, the corners of the pallet won't save you because the hatchet's damage hitbox is bigger than the collision hitbox.
-
-
People underestimate clown, right now clown can now get free hits if he uses both the slowing and speed flasks at a loop if done right.
There are moments where just the slowing flask isn't enough but using speed flask to combo at the right time you can pretty much guarantee hits.
-
Really, going against spirit is like a guessing game.
-
I come to terms that asymmetrical horror games are near impossible to balance due to community and role bias.

For those who don't know, Magnum Opus is the same as "masterpiece". Maybe an artist killer?
It’s Jhin from league of legends.
If it was actually Jhin I will laugh so hard.

Except the killer in that show was her manager who didn’t want her to go into acting vs being a pop idol.
In a way, she was the ultimate fan in the end. Imitation is often the greatest form of flattery.

Where are these clues from?
From reading other people, the Korean text on one of the twitter posts, and for the monitors it’s just really using my hunch. The popstar kind of vibe with the neon colors. But the survivor could also be a hacker, who knows.
-
A decent build in general is, Ruin/Corrupt Intervention, Pop goes the Weasel, Sloppy Butcher and Whispers. That's if you don't got a specific killer in mind.

Instead of condescending onto the OP, explain how Chucky would work. I'm all ears. Come on, lets have it.
Chucky dribbles the survivor like a basketball then dunks them on the hook.
-
I might also jump to the fact the next killer could be Springtrap.
He's a child serial killer in a suit, and he worked as a security guard at one point. I think, my Fnaf lore knowledge isn't too strong.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I think the killer is a hacker or something along those lines.
The survivor is likely some k-pop singer or something like you have said, and the killer is some hacker who stalks media celebrities and kills them or some weird thing like that.
II1 could mean a hyperfinite type II factor where as "M" is a II1 factor. So I've been guessing that is either tied to the Magnum Opus name, and less being used as a term for a literal meaning, and more as an alias of some hacker or such who is pretty high up there and possibly owns the company that said K-pop star is working for, what better way to achieve their ultimate end goal?
It could be like the "Perfect Blue" like trope where a pop star gets stalked by an increasingly violent fan that eventually tries to kill them.
-
Magnum Opus usually means something that has absolutely peaked in terms of art and creativity.
Like how some say "Ratatouille" is the magnum opus of Pixar.

Except they do. Heck, one of the lead developers is a proud NOED runner.
But do they play in a very competitive level? Red ranks is an absolute shred fest where 1 mistake could super screw one side or the other.
I mean legit can you even look at Haddonfield and say "Yep this is pretty balanced."
-
I legit feel like the only reason why this is happening this badly is that the devs themselves don't play the game as much as the players do. It's such a small fraction that their reality of the game is completely off to the player's reality of the gameplay.
-
Now survivors can actually use the "Don't Tunnel" excuse when it does happen.

really? i thought you can only see his aura when he has aura perks. thanks for telling me
This change is way better than the old OoO it still provides good utility while removes at-will wallhacks.
Which benefits the solo survivor more heavily than the SWF.
-
@swager21 said:
you are pretty much guaranteed to be the obsession so this perk still hinders you more than it helps you. like he can literally see you every 45 seconds
You do realize if the killer sees you with any aura you can see the killer back right?
You do know that's extremely powerful can it can give so much information on what perks and addons the killer is using.
Nurse's Calling? Revealed, BBQ and Chili? Revealed, I'm All Ears? Revealed, Micheal Myre's mirror? Revealed.
-
Have Kindred Built-in.
Kindred now just reveals the killer (Albeit with increased range to compensate.)
-
I wouldn't mind if they spent 3 months reorganizing the code and fixing it. If it helps in the long run it will be golden.

Wait, Wake Up is broken : I'm running Resistance/Spine Chill for the fast vault (9%+6% to have a 15% vault speed), I'm in the goddamn range of someone's Wake Up, I have 25% vault speed ?! Plus Hope, I would have +10% speed, as fast as 110% killer ? I'm almost uncatchable, and I vault like a mad man ? Nop nop nop, that perk would be an absolute top tier in SWF x)
Your basically forcing perks on yourself that only truly works at the end game. Plus Hope only lasts for 2 minutes.
How many perks are you willing to sacrifice to even manage to get the gates powered? Borrowed Time? Decisive Strike? Dead Hard?
-
I can't complain about shadow born if I suck with the flashlight anyways. Galaxy Brain Move.
-
It's Freddy with jump rope and other slow down perks.
First of all, makes you feel mega scummy.
Secondly, it makes newbies suffer and hate the game more.
-
It's a big improvement, now he can get close enough for me to not notice him across the map.

Oni -while incredibly strong and a vicious warrior- was an ordinary man physically whereas Pyramid Head is technically immortal.
Once James Sunderland recognized his terrible act Pyramid Head -a manifestation of his guilt, (sexual) frustration and desire for punishment- commited suicide symbolically.
Up to that point Pyramid Head was basically taking no damage from anything including gun shots.
CONCLUSION: Pyramid Head would kill Oni literally without taking damage.
Yep, Pyramid head will win every fight unless Oni recognizes his guilt.

@TheClownIsKing said:
Those 2 perks don’t interact with each other. Open handed only affects survivor aura reading.
Weird cause every time I do the combo it just makes killers panic a bit more.
Cause if that was the case wouldn't Object of Obsession give you a free 8 meters of seeing the killer without the killer seeing you back?
Edit: Ugh that sucks, I guess Boil Over is yet again useless.

Boil Over: Obscures the ability to see hook auras from 10/12/14 meters.
Open Handed: Adds 8 meters to all survivors who have ranged based auras.
14 + 8 = 22 meters of being annoying.
Oh, Christ I just remembered they're going to buff Open Handed to 16 meters.
14 + 16 = 30 meters of not being able to see a hook.

Does this combo actually work? Like make it even harder to see auras? I've never thought about it

I would settle for skillchecks on hook instead of BUTTON MASH CITY.

This is... Kind of true?
It's easy to forget, but The Bloodweb is a canon thing. So, The Entity isn't deliberately empowering Survivors, by default they're all the same, but the Survivors have developed unique abilities from the Bloodweb in the form of their Perks, which is getting empowered by The Entity in an indirect way.
Yes but what about the "new" survivors who start from scratch. They already have the ability to not snap their knees and not become instantly incapacitated from a hammer swing to the head. This keeps the possibility that again, The Entity has strings on how the survivor performs.

Only 2 more to go.
AH Yui and Kate
Kate: Her songs literally give her abilities related to them.
Yui: Tough Woman who's all about making the big plays. The Entity seems to amplify her powerful encouraging presence.
-
Oh crap I forgot Quentin.
Quentin: He can almost kind of manipulate the trial to his favour, kinda like his ability to lucid dream. Being able to get a medkit first try every time is interesting and also being able to open a gate faster when others cannot.
-
Dead by Daylight but it downgrades to PS1 graphics.

Video games and movies sell stories, feelings, emotions, ideas. They aren't realistic and aren't supposed to be. This game has people getting hooked through the chest, and then getting off and running like they wouldn't be collapsed in a pool of their own blood or dead.
Animations in games often need to be exaggerated in order to really sell the look and feel of them. I happen to be an animator. I did animations for soldier characters being viewed in the third person. My original set had them standing upright, the second set hunched a bit. Despite the first set being more realistic, the rest of my team overwhelmingly preferred the second set because of the look and feel it conveyed. Realistic is not always better for visual entertainment.
Yes movement and exaggeration is important in animation but this update really improves the animations by feeling more fluid and less stiff. I know you realism isn’t the point of movement but honestly I always hated how slow I was running for how dramatic I am looking while running. But I gotta say I’m going to miss old of those old meme animations.
-
Honestly, the new hud doesn't bother me.
It just takes a quick glance, like it's not like it's asking you to solve the enigma code or something.
I got used to it pretty quick, in the end, it didn't change my gameplay at all.
-
You... probably got unlucky with the teammates.
I usually get decent teammates every time.
It's 50/50 where it either goes well or not.
