People might not realize but at an ACTUAL tournament match proves survivors and killers are kind of even.
Killers and Survivors both carry some broken sh*t, the problem is if winning is to abuse the hell out of a meta is proven to be already unhealthy for the game community.
You very rarely ever see a killer that's considered lower than "B" tier in those matches.
You rarely see a survivor to bring a very situational perk build in those matches, as it's too unreliable to consistently pop off.
People complain often because they probably lost really hard in one match.

Perks are used to solve the current problems of DbD which only slowly stack up under the rug.

Many killers feel clunky and unresponsive, but especially the Twins. You miss a survivor, free kick for them, even so long after you pounced. You hit a survivor with BT, they take the hit and kick you. You get looped around a single obstacle, you fly off into the distance, or hit onto it instead of the survivor and they kick you. You try to go for a far shot, you end up at the survivors' feet and get kicked. You successfully down someone, you have to wait 5 seconds still to switch to Charlotte. Survivors run in pairs, you down one of them, the other kicks you, they're both up and running before Charlotte can get back to them. The killer is a living counter to itself.
They need a QoL change, like everything the Twins does feels inconvenient and the only playstyle you can really take advantage of is how snowball-y this power is.
But yeah, oh my god what's up with the successful hit cooldown with Victor and why can't he activate any perks. He has no Synergy with perks which makes me wonder how often should I use Charlotte?
-
Survivors who bring a broken key will increase the chances of the killer going sweaty.
-
I hate the phrase "Do Bones" when your a solo player.
You don't have the power of clairvoyance to know if a survivor has done a totem.
You could do a totem hunting build but that also means your losing time on gens looking for them, which is extremely bad when your up against a mobile killer.
-
I would like the same... style but the pallets are improved.
Like why is there so many pallets and in the same time so many unsafe ones.
-
Wraith is annoying to deal with but unlike Spirit he does have consistent counters that you can perform.
All the things I know about Wraith, All Seeing Blood is kinda his only super BS addon, that's it.
-
Sweaty players play against other sweaty players.
New Players won't get nuked by Veterans, maybe.
I've been waiting for this system for a while.

I just want to be clear here. About you and others that talk like you do.
Your intention is to be insulting. Make no mistake. You make posts like this to insult others. And nothing more.
Just so we're all openly on the same page here.
I mean he’s not wrong, LT walls aren’t as op as killers and survivors think they are.
It’s also one of the most mind game tile that exists.
Which is why it keeps appearing in most maps in different styles.
-
I thought about this too.
Here is what I imagined if Entity was playable.
Goal: Assist the Killer in getting sacrifices. (Maybe Ai Killer)
Abilities:
- Block an window for 5 seconds.
- Reveal survivors for the killer for 3 seconds.
- Create snares that impede survivors.
- Mark a location for the killer to go to.
The Entity’s view is limited with a “fog of war” mechanic and can only see what’s around and in front of the killer.
-
Everyone pretty much already knew about Spirit, probably mass burnout from posting about it. Also with the Bug it probably lowered the temperature a bit.
Wraith is kind of getting up there now. I have to admit Wraith isn’t that op but yeah I kind of see why people found him unfun to go against. In some maps your kinda screwed due to how fast he can get from point A to point B but that’s it. At least you can counter play Wraith. Even funnier when you have access to Blast Mine.
-
It’s true Dead Hard loses effectiveness when the Killer witnesses it the first time.
But it’s secondary feature is to reach spots a little quicker, at will.
Which is why it’s considered incredibly strong, unless your in a dead zone then it’s useless.
-
He has a major weakness in indoor maps, walls and furniture/objects is his main enemy.
With his slower running speed he moves between generators and his threat is only dangerous when he gets close enough to spam knives at you which can be remedied by vaulting windows early for the wall protection.
His main strength is being very deadly in long corridors and hallways, he's also a great camper with Main Event but that's up to how douchey you wanna be as Trickster.
-
Sometimes, it feels bad when your doing a dumb build like Streetwise, Leader, Prove Thyself and Vigil. Which is what I did.
Then you gotta deal with mega sweat Blight with this build, like god damn.
But in a way it's like that because survivors have some powerful as perks that usually works in multiple situations.
-
Zombies should expire if the game notices they have been stuck on the same spot for 10 seconds.
-
Honestly Oblivious and Blindness status effects should go together.

@KerJuice said:
This is why they should have never got rid of the original Ruin. And undying shouldn’t have been nerfed either. And there should be a perk to add more totems to the map like survivors have the coins to add more chests to the map. But fear not OP, Pinhead is bringing a gen slow down perk with him and It seems decent.
No the original ruin was horribly designed.
It punished newbie survivors while in the same time did practically nothing against experienced survivors.

No if you have the Stranger Things DLC you will get the ST version of the perk, if you don't have the ST DLC you get the generic version. You won't get both versions.
oh okay, does that mean people can still see the original design?

there's one answer, at least.
Wait so people who already owned the DLC will get both the new and old version of the perk?
Weird but alright.
-
You cannot Head On when the killer is doing the animation.
Secondly Head On needs 3 seconds to activate.
Therefore you have to predict it and stun them as soon their hitbox gets in the way of yours.

Love how the dude has donated 50K to a lgbtq charity and it's all meaningless after he donated to a political program with hunderds of ideas where a couple of them happen to be anti-lgbtq.
Remember kids, never do anything good in your life. It's all wasted the second you do something people don't like.
Hate will always be stronger then love
There’s no excuse to send death threats to Scott’s wife when she had nothing to do with it.

Half my team is stupid and the other one is at least competent.
How does MMR even work??
-
We had an AFK Kate so it was a 3vs1 situation.
And we still escaped, on a killer dominated map.
The Trickster was Rank 2.
He has pretty strong perk build with addons.

Cawthon can justify his political donations any way he wants. It's his right. But it's also my right to criticize him for it. He didn't say "I hate the gays." He just donated to people who tend to espouse those views. He said he supported President Trump. Well, Trump banned trans people from serving in the military. Does that mean Cawthon agrees? Does it matter what Cawthon personally believes if he's still willing to pledge political support to someone anti-LGBT+?
In my view, there is no way to reconcile the two. Even if he himself isn't anti-LGBT+, if he is still willing to support people who are anti-LGBT+, to me that shows how little he cares about me and people like me. Which is really sad, because I liked FNAF as a teen. But now I see the brand as toxic, just like Harry Potter.
Dunno it's weird.
He donates a butt loads of money to the Trevor Project.
But he also supports these conservatives.
From what people theorized that he strongly supports a strong military and stronger nation. Not the anti-lgbt aspect.
More and more there's less nuance and more black and white.
-
Honestly how fog should work is that it limits what the survivors and killers see from distance.
Like with the strongest fog offering you shouldn't be able to see the boat on the other side of the swamp map.

Strange thread....
If the absolute worst case scenario of a SWF+Toolboxes+BP+PT+4pGen can still lead to a 4K then complaining about current gen speeds is just silly. If you wanted an easier time you could have brought addons, no one stopped you. This type of an SWF situation is also not representative of every match in DBD, but in fact represents just a small minority.
After 2.8k hours playing solo survivor, I have seen pretty much every iteration of survivor builds, and frankly at red ranks BNPs are quite rare these days, not to mention multiple BNPs.
Actually, on second thought this thread is not strange. It is just plain stupid/
Yeah I mean what's the chances of actually going against a group with more than 1 brand new part.
For months I only saw 2 brand new parts at once. Then it hasn't happened again for a while.
-
@Zozzy said:
The bigger question is why does it only take 2 survivors to halve the time of a gen.
2 Survivors = Double the speed.
4 Survivors = Quadruple the speed.
But they nerfed cooperative repairs.
Each extra survivor = 15% slower individual repairs.
4 Survivors with the debuff = 45% slower individual repair speeds.

It's far more than that
1 - Shows you where your teammates are, thus allowing you to either sit on that gen, especially if it has Ruin, so someone else saves and you don't waste time running cross map. Though, if you're super far from them, technically you should sit on the gen anyway.
2 - It shows you if the killer walks in your direction after they hook a survivor.
3 - It shows you if they're camping
4 - It helps your team coordinate for you when you're hooked
But like Bond, well, when your teammate gets hooked you also get to see how useless your team may be being, forcing you to run cross map anyway because the Meg is crouched in a corner and the Claudette is hiding in a locker and you can't even see their aura
Most of those points kind of already fill in the point 1 I made.
also it was suppose to be a snark post

give overwhelming 100/150/200% depletion rate, increase terror radius by 8 and slower start up time for flashlights
increase distressing terror radius to 30/35/40%
There’s literally nothing wrong with those two.
Overwhelming someone with a brown Medkit for just a millisecond is enough to cancel out a full heal.
Distressing already gives killers a very large terror radius at tier 3.
-
For some reason MMR is making everyone an @$$hole on both sides.
-
Changes I would love on Trapper.
- He can now toss beartraps instead of just spending time putting it down.
- He can reload at lockers which means he spends less time walking around to reload.
- Thrown beartraps impacting on survivors won't do anything unless Trapper possess an special addon.
- Beartraps will be completely broken upon sabotage to compensate for the easier reload and placement speed.
- When he goes above his trap limit the oldest trap will break itself. (Trap Limit increased by addons.)
-
An Arcade Map.
3 Floors
Small-Medium Size
A lot of unsafe loops but with tons of mindgame potential.
1 God Pallet
The killer basement is actually the whole basement of the Arcade.
Totems can spawn in that basement.

Technically, our current Bloodweb is already Bloodweb 2.0. Bloodweb 1.0 was so bad that they gave out Legacies on top of the bloody outfit, I think.
That was in 2016.
And it's only been adding and removing stuff to the bloodweb since.
This was when the game only had 6 survivors (Laurie couldn't get Legacy but she was released around that time), and 5 killers (ditto for Shape), and 2 more tiers of map-offerings for Autohaven, Coldwind, Autohaven, Asylum, and Haddonfield, as well as the moonlight offerings. Bloody Party Streamers were a brown item, worth 3000, and bloodpoint boosting events were common (don't quote me on the events, but I feel they were a lot more common than they are now).
2 pages of perks at most, and some perks were even cheaper at t3 than they are now.
The overall price of bloodwebs feels to have gone way up because there are a lot less available brown/yellow items, and more green and purple items (BPS moving up to green, adding Unique Wedding Ring for keys, making map offerings only in green), and a LOT more perks and characters to use level through.
But onto your actual suggestion: Love the perk and item bloodweb being seperated. Love the lower cost for offerings and items, the upgrading system is cool, but I kinda like the iridescents, but I do think they should lower the frequency of them. I assume you mean Dull Key instead of Black Key (as it's Broken < Dull < Skeleton for rarities), I won't really comment on cause I don't use keys often nor do I care about them.
And finally: 2 suggestions I'd like to also add onto this
A Quick Buy for leveling purposes/just getting items after you get the few you wanted, and a clear Bloodweb button to wipe the current item bloodweb pool for a reduced price to help find the items you want without going through 80 webs for 2 copies of a map offering you want.
Gotcha, thanks for the feedback.

How would he work. Spring trap is just a man in a broken suit. He has no ability besides M1ing. He doesnt really have anything that I could think of besides using cameras that are set on gens
He can cause mass hallucinations though.
Though that might border in Doctor's territory.
-
It's not horribly unbalanced, there's rooms that get in the way of getting to objectives.
Totems are usually well hidden.
Uncertainty if the killer is on the same floor as you.
There is the two god pallets but that's mostly it.
The rest is just bad breakaway loops.

That's how cult classics works. They become more popular way after their initial release.
"A film with a cult following, obscure or unpopular with mainstream audiences, and often revolutionary or ironically enjoyed."

I don't know how much freedom they have as far as altering a licensed map goes, but you know on Haddonfield where it has the flickering light bulbs where gens aren't done?
RPD needs something like that. If it does have them, it's not noticeable enough.
Yeah I knew about that, it's actually helpful that the flickering lights tell you a unfinished generator is near.
RPD is already hard enough that most of the generators are behind walls and inside rooms.

Okay so basically. We all know what Bond does. It let you see your teammates up to 36 meters. But what if, your teammates could see you too?
I think that would be interesting, but I'm not sure if that would make it a bit too strong or if it would just be unnecessary. I actually think it would make more sense maybe. Because a "Bond" is the connection between 2 people right? And right now, the perk is more like "you are connected with others" and not "You and others are connected with each other".
What do you think? :)
Tbh, Bond is already super strong. Doing this might render Aftercare and Better Together completely useless.
-
If Premonition doesn't detect the killer, it kinda ruins the concept of having a Premonition.
Undetectable is one thing, but having a supernatural sense to assist you is a whole different level.
In a technical sense, Spine Chill gives false positives and Premonition has a ridiculous cooldown.
-
I used to think there was something wrong with my game until I got much better internet.
The internet provider is what determines if you live or not.

It's actually the only few fun skill checks for survivors atm.
It's what it is. A Skill Check.

@QwQw said:
Yeah, Trickster has a horribly designed power in my opinion.
I wish they gave him some sort of music-related power, but instead we got bootleg Huntress combined with Old Legion.
I was hoping for some rewind power.
My Concept of what I wish Trickster was.
Power: Playback
He holds up a phone then presses rewind.
Phantom clones of survivors will appear 5 seconds of what they were doing ago. Copying every movement what the original survivor did.
If Trickster hits the Phantom it will continue it's normal path but with a twist, if the Phantom eventually touches the original survivor it will injure them or down them from injured.
Second Power: Main Event
To charge this power Trickster has to hit at least 3 Phantoms.
Trickster creates 1 clone of himself that appears in the farthest generator.
These clone move at the speed of 110% and will attempt to hit any survivor they see.
The clone will disappear after downing a survivor or 20 seconds is up.
The clone can break pallets.
Possible Addons:
Iridescent: Platinum Record
During main event all survivors gain EXPOSED.
Rare: Upbeat Sample Tracks
Phantoms that were hit will gain moderately increased speed.
This fixes:
His lack of map pressure.
The lack of originality.
Being actually threatening.
