Carburetor tuning guide is rare. Do you mean very rare?
-
When Bill released, the perk did in fact lock up as one of his teachables. While you can't unlock Borrowed Time anymore until getting the teachable first, you still kept any tier of it that you had unlocked previously on other characters.
-
People don't seem to know the meaning of the word anymore. Hooked a Feng the other day while playing as Huntress and went to go chase a Nea. Well after she got unhooked, Nea gave me the slip so I went back to the hook and Nurse's shows me that Bill is healing her 5 feet from where she was hooked. Bill ran and I hit her with a hatchet. She let herself die on hook and called me a tunneller. I told her that it's not my fault she didn't leave the hook. I'm not required to let her heal. People seem to think that finding them is now tunnelling.
-
When asked in their Q&A on reddit, they said that the end of summer isn't until September 23rd so we will get them before then.
-
No, you are one of the good people in this community. There is a lot of people in this community who will tell others not to run certain perks because they don't want to play against it and that isn't right. The person playing killer has spent their money on the game just like the survivors and they can play however they please (excluding cheating obviously).
-
As the person above me suggested, the only change I could even see implemented is changing the terror radius to killer distance so stealth killers can't cheat the Borrowed Time. But what the original poster has described is the old Borrowed Time with infinite uses. This would be severely overpowered as instead of choosing to go for the person who unhooked, you can't go after either because they both have endurance. This would be even worse if the exit gates were powered. As much as it pains me to say it, the old Borrowed Time was really unhealthy for the game and it is a lot more balanced now. It is still very possible to utilize Borrowed Time for a clutch save on any killer (one hit down or not) and get away. In the rare scenario you can't make the save, then just do gens and punish the killer for camping. As someone who plays both sides equally, I don't want to hear this anymore than you do, but camping is a valid strategy (confirmed by the devs) and it won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
-
Just ignore him. In my opinion he is one of the worst Youtubers in this community (right next to Ochido). As in regard to your post, I agree that No One Escapes Death is fine where it is. Sure it could have done without the buff so all tiers grant the one hit down, but this buff also gave the perk tiers 1 and 2 a use. There is plenty of chance for you to counter the perk and if you choose not to take the extra precaution, then your consequence is to deal with it. One of the biggest reasons people keep trying to get this perk changed is because they want to be able to focus on gens all game while someone else runs the killer with no secondary objective. People want that easy escape instead of having to work for it.
-
They should have a server for the middle east but don't quote me on it. I believe there is a server for all regions and that they should improve with the release of dedicated servers.
-
Unfortunately, they probably won't give them back. I'm pretty sure the devs won't give them back for any reason, and the only way you can get them back is by cheating them in (which will just get you banned). However one of the mods will just tell you to put in a ticket because this is not the place to discuss it and close this thread.
-
That is definitely fake. You can clearly see that it is the devour hope icon. Don't know who they would be fooling with this leak.

I absolutely hate DCs, they ruin the fun for both sides. I can't lie though, I do get a good chuckle when someone DCs instantly on the first down but then immediately remember "oh, this match is super in favor for one side now, awesome, I didn't want to try this match anyways".
Exactly. And then most survivors will give up so you either farm or get easy kills. Completely ruins the fun of a good match

@HatCreature said:
I laugh if the occasion calls for it, like I down someone and their buddy tries to flashlight save but fails, so they DC. That's funny for me but realistically I have a strong distaste for it, it's shows privilege and anyone on this ######### planet who believes that they are privileged to anything is disgusting and a lowlife piece of ######### who doesn't deserve the tears they shed when they can't get a discount on the cheapest room in the entire town.
People who DC because they are salty are bad people.
People who DC for a legit reason, like having to go to work, that's fine but it's not like anyone can tell the difference.
Well put. What you just said is 100% true. It shows how privileged people are in this community. It does suck that you can't tell the difference as I can't blame someone for leaving if they have to go do something in real life but apart from that it is disgusting.

@NMCKE said:
Who does? :)
Like everyone dislikes it when someone ruins it for everyone. I can't see anyone who likes it when someone DCs to be honest, unless of course, they like challenges. :)
I just know there are certain people who play killer who enjoy it. I'm not one of those people. I hate it playing survivor AND killer. Like you said, not only does it ruin the fun for survivors, but it ruins the fun for me as well (since they typically all give up)
-
This might be considered taking the game hostage and you might be able to report it since it is intentionally prolonging their death. However the Endgame Collapse will kill them eventually so I'm not sure where it stands. Might want to check with a mod for clarification.
-
2 kills on average is fine with me. Although I typically 3 or 4k at any rank
-
As a Billy main, I can tell you there is no audio cues. I believe his chainsaw moves a bit more when it is closer to a full charge but don't quote me on it. It's something you just kinda have to get used to through playtime. My biggest tip is walk up behind them and rev the chainsaw. You will normally be able to fully charge and down them with the help of the autolock. As far as Leatherface, no not that I'm aware of.
-
I've been saying the same thing for a while. There should be an option to toggle it on and off in the settings.

Dont know with 1 but everytime i kick a gen you get blodpoints for it and blodpoints goes into the emblems right ? so surely it has to go to something @LordGlint
The regression thingy aswell to make a gen go down in progress.
As the person already said, the ranks NOW work based off of certain actions/outcomes. You are thinking of the old ranking system.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Clearly you needed 8 gens remaining and 15 hooks. Otherwise you're clearly a Noob.
Also your chases need to last -5 seconds and you need to hit everyone 4 times per down, and you can't ever let them heal at all.
Oh My God! You're right! I see what I did wrong now!
-
Big tips for Billy: Know when to use your chainsaw, and when to just use your hammer. When survivors are around loops, don't be afraid to go for the hit. A good survivor will continue to loop you if you keep going for chainsaw hits then. If you know someone will drop a pallet, use your chainsaw to break it, it is faster. Don't chainsaw when survivors have a bit of distance between the two of you. It is too easy for them to veer left or right and avoid you. Get up behind them and do it. If they try to 360, just stand still and turn, autolock will do the rest.

Which emblem gives you points based off kicking gens?
None if I recall correctly.

Bro today I had a match where everyone was a different color rank besides green. Idk how that's fair but ok. Literally a rainbow.
Probably SWF. The matchmaking doesn't take the rank gap into account. Just picks the lower rank. I hosted last night as a rank 4 with two of my friends who were in yellow rank. We got a rank 20 killer.

you got a picture on that cause you gotta do a bit of everything you know usually people complain about it like omg i dident pip still had 5 gens but thats the problem you need to damage the generator and actuelly get chase points aswell. Also why you wanna pip anyway your just gonna end up getting long que times and vs the same people over and over again also rank dosent matter in this game-
No. I don't take pictures of everything. But I assure you, the game was flawless. I like the accomplishment of getting to red ranks.

Mouse over each emblem im the tally screen it will show where u missed points
I did. It didn't show me that I missed anything. Just what I did.

@Jonathanskilz said:
You need to hit a gen thats why you safety pip also its very easy to pip
I did kick gens. I kicked several. That combined with Ruin is why they didn't get ANY gens done. Yet I still safety after hooking all but one three times. This is broken. There is no reason I shouldn't have pipped.

Kindred wants a word with you.
I don't run it because I don't think it is worth a perk slot compared to the other perks you could run. Plus I mostly play with friends. But I have ran the perk before and still had people ignore it.
-
Small Game has always been one of the most under-rated perks in the game. I don't typically run it, because I seem to find the totems with no problem (and I just work through Ruin), but occasionally I'll throw it on if I have trouble finding the totems or if I'm tired of NOED in general.
-
Haddonfield as survivor because I have always been a big Halloween fan. I don't typically run Balanced Landing for a loop either but I might throw it on occasionally. Mother's Dwelling is definitely a close second though.
As killer any Macmillan or Autohaven map just because of how simple they are. It's the map that seems the most fair when I play killer since there is plenty of room for loops (and maybe and infinite) but there is also a lot of places that are easy to mindgame.

@Atrushan88 said:
@Crazewtboy I didn't see Trapper very much at all. I see Myers occasionally across all ranks, same with Legion, and Spirit, and Huntress. My most seen killers are probably Legion, Ghostface, Pig, Myers, and now in high green low purple I'm seeing a lot of camping Leatherfaces, and my teammates tend to not do gens. Fun games ><
That sucks. I wish we had more ways to communicate with our team even if we weren't on comms. Being on the hook and wanting your team to do gens instead of coming to save you is almost impossible because you have no way of being able to tell them that.
-
This is one of the most annoying things in the game. When one survivor screws over the entire team, it ruins the experience for everyone because one person either lacked common sense, or was too ignorant to listen to that common sense. Survivors used to be so good at the game, but I'm starting to wonder where they all went.

It is just a game, and games are made to have fun in. Let's not ruin it by intoxicating it with toxicity.
Hate to break it to you, but we kinda already have ruined it with toxicity. This is the most toxic community I have ever seen in all my time playing games. We could always reverse the effect, but I'm afraid it would take a miracle to do that at this point.
-
It could be possible. I seem to only see certain killers on certain ranks in PS4. The Ghostface and Pig players all seem to be at the yellow rank. Green rank seems to be full of Trapper and Myers, with the occasional Legion, and purple to red ranks have Billy, Spirit, a Nurse here and there and Huntress.
-
Someone should give this man a medal! This is one of the few threads where I don't see someone complaining about how survivors need something changed or are too toxic for the community. Glad that someone looks for a challenge in their matches but at the same time understands that this is just a game.
-
It doesn't really matter what platform you're on (except you might get more frame rate drop on console), but as far as new killers, Spirit is amazing once you learn how to play her. Personally though, I will always stick with my Hillbilly. He crushes the competition 99% of the time.
-
It could be one of two things. Either there is more killers than survivors, or not a lot of people in your region are playing survivor right now so the game is trying to put you in a game for a completely different region (such as UK, Japan, ETC) which will typically take longer than normal matchmaking.
-
I already got his three teachable perks on my main and hit the first prestige with him. I'm working on the prestige for other characters right now (I kinda have a cycle set up) so I haven't been using him. Didn't change because of the Mettle of Man nerf, although I do agree that they went a bit overkill on it.
-
No. I use shards on the shrine only. If I want a DLC, I'll just kick out the 10$ for it since it's much faster and easier.
-
There is lots of things you can do to become a better player, although some just come over time and with a lot of practice. The things that you should try to memorize are map layouts (what spawn where) and what all the perks/killers do. This will help you get a better understanding of how to play each game. There is also other smaller things you can do to increase your chances of survival such as:
Not blinding at pallets: A good killer will just use their ears and they will still be able to find you. Flashlights should be used for saves only.
Learning to loop/juke: There is plenty of tutorials on how to do both of these things on YouTube. Looping is going to be the main way to extend/survive chases and buy time for your team. Juking you will use as a last resort when you know you won't make it to a pallet and could be screwed regardless.
Staying on the generators: The sound of the heartbeat is nothing to be afraid of. Too many people run at the faintest sound of it when they should be working on the gens. Despite what the game may tell you, use the terror radius as a warning, but use your eyes to look for the killer and know when to get off the gen. If you aren't good at running you should leave a bit early, but if you are confident in your skills to run the killer around, you can wait until the last possible second.
Hitting great skill checks: This is something else that will come with time, but you should still try to improve it whenever you get the chance. Just hitting the skill checks doesn't really cut it anymore (since everyone brings ruin) and hitting great skill checks will allow you to complete generators faster. The best way to do this is to listen for the audio cue and then focus on the center of your screen. Your reflexes should do the rest. This tip might not seem important now, but when the rest of your team is running around like chickens with their heads cut off looking for a hex, you will be powering through the gens.
This is all I got for now.
-
As @brokedownpalace suggested, rework is the term that should be used. The perk doesn't need to be improved, but scrapped entirely and redesigned to fit the game's current metas and play styles.

A+. Wholesome post.
Like this is literally it. And actually, most survivor mains don't care about add ons, Ruin, or NOED depending on how the killer plays the match.
But like..... we're just here for a good time. I don't give a crap about dying. Kill me. But give me a chance to play the freaking game first. If I get into a good chase or two with a killer who isn't camping and tunneling anyone and our whole team dies, I give props to the killer for outplaying us. We play games to have fun.
This attitude people seem to carry that "I'm not here for your fun, I'm here to win." Go play an e-sport then. Take that somewhere else.
Unfortunately this mindset you describe is not common in this community (or at least not outside of PC). I feel like most of the people who did have this mindset left already due to the game's repetitiveness and we just have toxic people. On console everyone has the "I want to win" mindset instead of the "It's just a game, let's try to have fun and escape" mindset.

Sounds like a good way to piss off half of the game's total population and get them to quit overnight.
This. Removing the option would definitely cause a huge drop in the player base (on the survivor side at least) and could possibly kill the game. The game is rather stale on both sides in my opinion and the only reason I still play survivor is because I can mess around with my friends.

Billy with an Assault Rifle because he is a hillbilly.

Personally the older one felt like a massive crutch. It was unbearable when it was stacked and it was the end of the game. I honestly wouldn't mind it too much if only multiple people didn't run it in one game.
That did seem to be the two biggest problems. The fact that everyone could have it and that it was pretty much unstoppable at the end of the game.

@DudeDelicious safe hook event was and is bugged. Sometimes you get it after survivor gets downed. Lets be honest, if you go down fast with bt on then you are super bad.
New bt is pure cancer in every way. Encourages farming and you don't even have to mend it ever, just like with Legion.
I think they fixed the bug. Although I haven't had the chance to play the most recent patch yet so it could have come back. Going down fast with Borrowed Time might not just be because you're bad. You have some scenarios were there is NO pallets in an area (due to idiot teammates) and you can't do anything to stop the killer. Agreed though that the new deep wound discourages the mending of Borrowed Time now until they leave the terror radius.
-
New Ace Visconti perks (since as an Ace main I can confirm that they practically suck)
Counting Cards: You know what is coming next, and use it to gain the upper hand. After performing 4/3/2 safe unhooks, the killer's aura is revealed to you for 7 seconds after damaging any survivor.
"He might be the one dealing cards, but I can still see his losses"-Ace Visconti
All In: High bids are where it's at, and you either go big or go home. Once per game press the active ability button for a 30/40/50% chance to respawn the closest 3 pallets to your location. Failing this will result in the survivor using the perk to become exposed and able to be killed without a mori for 60 seconds.
"Gotta make my money back somehow. It's now or never!"-Ace Visconti
Up His Sleeve: Sometimes the only way to play, is by playing dirty. Once per match, succeed a tremendously difficult skill check to kick the killer below the belt and stun them for 20/25/30 seconds.
"The card is set, all it takes is some slight of hand and I can't lose this match"-Ace Visconti

BT + Wglf is the farming build to go
Unfortunately this is the problem. It's too good of a combo for getting free stacks off. It causes people to not give a #########. Although it is VERY useful if you actually made a safe unhook and the idiot you unhooked ran straight to the killer again.

*Shrugs*
That's completely understandable! Everyone has their preference.
-
@Gardenia said:
If you think the new version encourages farming from hooking, think of what the old version would do.
The new version imo is a good spot. The rescuer is making a conscious choice to unhook someone while the killer is near giving invulnerability to the victim, there no reason they should have invulnerability as well ..that's just stupid OP.
Yes, but before it was a one time use which made only people who used it to be a team player have it in their build. Everyone else would ignore it since it wouldn't be active the rest of the game. Now that it is infinite, people are more drawn to it because they can use it whenever they please with almost no consequence to themselves. It in no way gives them invulnerability, just an extra health state. They can still be immediately downed after that.
-
Let's make some new perks for Bill!
PTSD: You have an extreme case of post-traumatic-stress-disorder from your time served in the war. Every 40/50/60 seconds, you will see multiple different killers all around you. "Holy #########! You aren't a friendly!"-William "Bill" Overbeck
Adaptable: Your time in the war has taught you how to adapt. Every time a survivor is hooked, gain a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 tokens. Every token increases your action speed by 20% up to a maximum of 60/80/100%.
"Sometimes you need to make the best of a bad situation."-William "Bill" Overbeck
Heavy Smoker: Addiction isn't always a bad thing. When within a 5 meter range, use a lit cigarette to stun the killer for 5/10/15 seconds. Using a cigarette will give the exhausted status effect for 90 seconds.
"I'll make you suffer with me."-William "Bill" Overbeck

Oh, I didn't know what the original version did. Still think that making what it currently does affect the basement is a good idea. The basement is a high risk-high reward area and should be discouraging to enter.
