Someone brought up the point that the cap is there so people can't hack bloodpoints. Anything above 1mil turns into an immediate flag unless it was compensated by BHVR. I agree though, it is stupid that we can't even hit level 50 with the current cap. Surely raising it to make that possible wouldn't hurt.
-
Honestly, I prefer they take a break from licensed chapters. There is less creativity than newer ones which lead to what we are getting now; killers who's powers are hybrids of two other killers. This is due to the devs having to make a power for the licensed killer that accurately reflects them, but some of them aren't unique enough to make a completely new power, so they have to take an existing power and edit it a bit. I do think we will eventually get an Alien chapter, and/or possibly Predator (although I'm not sure how you would balance that).

Aaaaand you'll possibly ruin the game for 4 other people. But as long as you're having fun it's ok right. I wonder how you feel about your teammates that DC instantly when they get downed each match you start 3 times in a row.
You probaly really like them since you share same philosophy that they were not having fun and so they left you and other teammates behind. So much fun really.
I tend to not hold it against them. While it is annoying, they could have had real life things to attend to. If they DC out of salt then I'll kill myself and move on to the next game. Seems like you are just pissy that your bad luck put you in games where people disconnected
-
Nope. Suicide for hatch still exists. Plus, you shouldn't force people to stay in a match that they don't want to be in. As someone who plays this game to just chill out, I don't wanna play against Captain Von Sweatsalot late at night. So I kill myself on the hook and move on to the next game.

@[Deleted User] said:
Just 1 - if you put 5 traps and refuse to leave the hook you are playing Hag wrong. You might win but that is boring and you should be more focused on one side of the map by creating web of traps even during chases. Survivors will fall in your traps when running towards the hook so you will just rotate hooks in the process. Hag can be very aggressive that way and survivors will be under tremendous amount of pressure.
@Aven_Fallen said:
First hooked guy will get 10 Traps. He will not escape!!!11
Nah, just 1. Thats enough to let them waste some time during the Unhook.
Ok, so it wasn't just me that was using logic on that one. I feel like more than one trap on any hook location (except maybe basement, then 2 might be acceptable) is an excuse to spend extra time by the hook. I'm pretty sure one trap in front of the hook covers the area from all sides. Can someone confirm this?

I don't agree with that. Just because "it's the killer" doesn't mean wins should be ez af just because of an offering. It's a pvp game. When winning gets unskilled and feels unfair a lot of people will drop the game. Noone likes to play a game expecting to lose every time no matter how skilled you are.
You don't lose every time due to a mori. Most of the time, it is skill related. The chance of coming across a game where the killer uses a mori is realistically 1/10 chance. It's also not an easy win for the killer. Good survivors don't exactly go down easy. I've had games where we four man escape at red ranks and the killer couldn't even use their mori. Once again, if you have a problem with people using offerings for an advantage, which was a mechanic put in the game by the devs, maybe this isn't the game for you.

Why not complaining? Complaining is the only wax to show the devs what is wrong
yeah, but there is plenty of posts about the mori already. This guy seems to be missing the point that it is an asymmetrical game. The killer is suppose to be at an advantage. Also, it's not like you see them every match. He is just mad that he lost to something the developers implemented in the game. Could they be tweaked? Yes. But the OP is literally crying to remove it from the game because it makes it challenging for him. There is a difference between complaining for a gameplay perspective taking in both sides, and crying because you lost to something.

So with dedicated servers coming, are we finally going to have the ability to stay in our SWF groups like literally every other game so we don't have to lobby up after every match?
Yes. They confirmed that a while back.
-
They aren't going anywhere anytime soon. My best advice is to suck it up and deal with it instead of complaining (because it is just a game) or move on to a different game/play killer.

I thought of that too but I think it's a bit too punishing honestly. Plus, survivors sometimes dc because of trolling and farming, which are good reasons to quit a match so it shouldn't be that harsh. If a survivor disconnects and is unable to play it for 3 minutes, then they can switch to killer to ease their frustration a bit. I think having to wait 3 minutes for everything will make it worse and have a lot of players just stop playing the game for the day, even some players quitting because of this. I think it's better if they made the penalty worse each time the player disconnects instead. (So 1 dc is 3 minutes, 2 dc is 5 minutes, 3 dc is 7 minutes, and so on).
Good point. I think at the very least though, you shouldn't be able to join another match in that category until the one you were in finishes. A bit more punishing. There really is no reason to disconnect unless someone is holding the game hostage or you have real life matters to attend to.
-
@Derp said:

I'm not sure what the change is but I hope they make it so that anyone who disconnects has to wait 3 minutes before they're able to find a lobby again. If you're a swf that disconnects, then the 3 minute penalty only applies to the swf matchmaking and the penalty to solo que disconnects only applies to solo que matchmaking. This'll make it so that survivors don't quit the game as much after dcing since some of them aren't willing to wait the 3 minutes to find a game. The 3 minute penalty will work on killers that dc as well but they have the option to play survivor while the time penalty is active, same for survivors with killers.
Personally, I believe that if you disconnect on one side, it should block them all. Just so there is no way around the wait.

I had never given a second of thought to the potential age of the players...
Yep. Chances are most of your matches you are playing against a young child. The ones who disconnect where clearly spoiled and not raised properly. I encounter it quite a bit on Playstation too
-
The title is kinda misleading. It seems your problem lies with the rank/matchmaking system and not the SWF itself. Your problem is that when a squad is made, it only takes the lower rank into account and you can possibly play against red ranks when you are nowhere close to red ranks yourself. Sometimes it isn't the fault of the SWF. It just happens. Most of the time we don't try to look for newer killers to bully.
-
That doesn't help your case. Most kids 10-16 typically have a console instead of a gaming PC, so most of the community there is children. You are dealing with child-like mentalities which tell them that they should get to escape and to disconnect when they don't get their way.

But that's my point, why should I instantly lose due to luck of all things..? Its rediculous that things like this even happen..and the match started well ! Two down off the bat.. barely slowed them after they got the first one up
That's just the way the game was made. Everything is based on luck. You didn't instantly lose. You had a chance to hook and kill them. What you did after that determined how many kills you walked away with. The best thing for you to do is to accept the loss, and use that match to analyze what you did wrong and how you could change your build to lower the chance of getting screwed in the future.
-
The 5 gen is certainly not okay. Some say the hatch shouldn't be an option, but I believe you shouldn't be completely screwed because you had incompetent teammates. Yes, it should be harder, but not impossible.
-
This would be a bit easier for survivors than killers. Most killers are dependent on some perks to ensure their match doesn't go down the shitter in the first minute. Survivors on the other hand can go in without perks and do just fine since there is four of them. If they are coordinated then it makes it even easier.
-
Ruin isn't always the best thing for this scenario. Sometimes other perks like Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes The Weasel are better for gen pressure. If you suspect they have some sort of item that you don't feel like dealing with, Franklin's Demise will be your friend. The hitboxes on the walls are ridiculous, but so are the ones on the hatchets. Try to hit them with one before they make it to a loop. It sounds like you just had ######### luck in that match and dealt with an ultimate combo of mass fuckery. It happens sometimes.
-
It happens. This game is a multiplayer game where one side is dead set on not letting the other side accomplish their goal. When one side is having fun, the other side probably isn't. While most people can realize it is just a game, some people take it way to competitively and get mad when they have to take an L in some way.
-
I play Rainbow Six Siege like once a week and I tend to play Minecraft a bit. Maybe GTA Online if I'm really feeling up to it.

I mean yeah, you’re right but it also has the capability to scare survivors off gens whereas Devour doesn’t do anything until token 3 that effects the game even in a situational way like Huntress can.
Lullaby will typically never scare survivors off gens until you have at least 2/3 tokens. Unless it is a yellow rank survivor of course.
-
"The only hex that isn't instant and you have to work for" Excuse me sir, but Huntress Lullaby would like a word with you.

I don't complain about gen rushing. Do it, that's what NOED and Blood Warden are for (such sweet perks!).
If you can escape despite all that, I will wish you a sincerely "GG WP"
This. People tend to complain about NOED, but that is the price you pay when you are too stubborn to get totems.
-
This has been brought up quite a bit. Unfortunately, this is the problem with the mori in it's current state. Besides making the mori require two hooks, I can't think of another counter to this. The problem with making the mori require two hooks is that salty people just won't struggle to rob the killer of a mori.

It did the last time I played with it. That was a month or two ago though.

Infinite Distortion tokens please. ;D
(For real though, I do think it needs more than 3.)
I feel like it should too. They can get used up way too easily. I also find it stupid that you still lose one to BBQ even when you are in a locker. If they were to remove that, I feel it would be a lot better.

There are also those long window loops one some fences if you have bad rng as killer. All you can do there is run around the loops until the entity blocks them off. Those also need some serious changes. Otherwise the map would be fine, probably.
I do like that there are mutliple variations of Badham personally, especially since those maps are now some of the most balanced with the amount of mindgameable loops there are, although that can also still be a factor of rng. Pretty sure though the devs have said that they want to create multiple versions of Haddonfield. Maybe I am mistaking though.
I hope not. I'm just not a fan. I find it stupid because they pretty much all look the same. I never liked Badham to begin with. I think I just hate it more now. I don't know why. Maybe it's just the layout of it.

'Second Wind'
When uninjured and in a Exausted state when struck by the killer exhaustion is cut 30%/40%/50%
Wouldn't work. We are literally about to receive a perk called "Second Wind" on Steve
-
I don't really like the way they did Badham. Only one variation one needed, not five of them. I do agree, the Temple and Shelter Woods should definitely be looked at. As much as I love Haddonfield, they do need to fix that god-forsaken window loop in the Myers house. That is my only complaint.
-
Certain survivor perks constantly need nerfs because they offer too much of an advantage when the killer is technically supposed to be more powerful than any individual survivor. Sometimes I do agree that they nerf a perk that doesn't need it or they go overkill with a nerf, but that is about it. Killers still receive a decent bit of changes (and I've heard that NOED is getting changed again in the next patch, although I don't know how true that is.)

Xbox has just confirmed that they are having connection issues.
-
As many others have said, increasing the amount of generators required to escape or increasing the time to complete generators is not the way to go. Gens are already super tedious and boring to complete and we don't need to make that worse. We need a good second objective (besides totems). I have seen plenty of suggestions on the forums.
-
As far as I know, no. I don't play Xbox, but when there is a ongoing error, there Twitter will blow up with complaints. Try restarting your game. It might just be a glitch. They will give an update soon if there is an issue.
-
So many people have suggested this and I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that this would lead to seeing the same 3 survivors every game. Claudette, David and Meg.
-
That is entirely their fault then. Myers has no collision when he is stalking and you can run right through him. They could have got out. My funniest match is any match where SWF comes running to the rescue and I get to down them with the chainsaw.
-
I don't know the full extent of it. You shouldn't de-rank from the killer disconnecting so it very well should be a bug. Same goes for items and add-ons. You aren't suppose to lose them when killers disconnect, you just do.
-
Billy simply for the map pressure.
-
Pretty sure it goes away. All effects persist as long as the related hex totem is in play.

It's not effective enough. It only works once and many killers are simply not picking you up. I agree it's the best perks for being tunnel but that still doesn't say much because there aren't many choices.
You have a point. In my experience, the only killers that really tunnel are mid-green rank and lower. Typically they are too stupid to think about Decisive so not getting picked up isn't really a problem for me.
-
It's just like that. At rank 12 killer I get rank 4 survivors.
-
There is no correct way to play. You can play however you want as long as it isn't cheating. You have to develop your own playstyle and strategy over time.

We don't know, what the devs will change. I honestly hope, that they'll only change nurse addons, because she is completely fine. Even three blink is fine, the only thing that really breaks her are the range addons.
You're right, they didnt said anything about Moris, but they know, that Moris are completely unfun, for survivors AND killers. Getting hooked and moried right after is no fun. Loosing points cause the survivor dies in another animation is no fun either.
I remember specifically reading on a thread somewhere that they only wanted to change her add-ons. They might make a small adjustment to the base power, but it will be so little that you won't notice a difference. Of course, I didn't see this from an actual dev though so it does have to be taken with a grain of salt.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
They gonna nerf Nurse. They gonna change Moris. Yes that idea is definitly worth a look.
I heard they were going to change Nurse's add-ons. No nerf her directly. But I didn't hear anything about the mori. When did they say that?
-
The bloodpoint trade would eliminate the need to grind if you have someone willing to do it for you making things unfair for others. Also opens up the possibility of external sites where people can pay actual money for bloodpoints. The skin thing seems a bit pointless. Who would want to give away a skin they paid money for? If you are buying it just to trade for other stuff then that refers back to the first point I made.

I disagree with fixated. While it is good for new players, this will also be very useful for experienced players who want to mindgame the killer more.

If you read Ash's lore in-game he doesn't die, instead he gets taken by the Entity by summoning the wrong demon.
Ash, Quentin and Freddy have post-movie lore in their backstories so probably the new characters will have post-season 3 lore where the entity will pick them up somehow.
More than likely. But what if the devs got the inside scoop and found out they will die by the end of season 3?
