The best killer we have, my friend <3
I just went against a Freddy. I love to see them. Ggs to him!

It's embarrassing for me when I play badly and then everyone see's that number at the end thinking that maybe I should have done better, the number giving my teammates an expectation that I should have played better/a certain wayβ¦like a pro, and then if I see them in the next game or another game, they know my character level
Xbox is the only platform you can't use Anonymous Mode. If you're not on Xbox, turn it on. Nobody will know who you are and it literally takes stress like this away immidetley. I'm speaking from experience.

I do get the notification that I'm logged in on another device when I'm not. I think it's because I have cross-progression with Nintendo Switch and sometimes it just says that and I bypass it.
I haven't had any of the other problems on ps5 recently at all though

I'm playing almost non-stop as a surv to farm as much BP as I can since it's much chiller than doing it as a killer.
I literally have thousands of 8th cakes between some survs, so I don't mind losing them when the match goes sideways.
What makes me mad is that if more people use cakes I could achieve my goal faster and, mostly, that we have the new News notification and this (offering being bugged) is not on it.
And talking about solo queue⦠damn!
It's indeed SO BAD right now and my head is full of ideas on how to improve it like being able to make an emote or something like that saying "I'm getting that surv off the hook" to avoid two stopping gen progress to go for the rescue or even a flashing red blip on the HUD over a surv's portrait that's on a gen when you're in a chase to avoid bringing the killer to these teammates. At night, I farm as Legion and Doctor as they can actually earn deviousness points and I have 80 cakes on each.
I chase Survivors with Beast of Prey and once I max out those two categories, I just make snowmen and jump out of them. One match I got over 200,000 bloodpoints.
Even with cakes as Survivor, and the bloodhunt, I'm usually leaving SoloQ with around 40,000 bp. It would be nice if doing Generators paid more BP.

Notifying the players the evt offering is not woking?
Damn! EVERY match there's always someone that brings this and certainly do not know that it's taking BP away from them. It's pretty rare to see more another player besides myself that brings a Streamers or Cake.I ran Screech Cobbler and Terrormisu all morning. I Got sick of the survivors giving up on hook or just getting stomped so quickly that I didn't earn much. As soon as I take them off, the next match someone offers one and it makes me so mad because I would love to stack. I have the SoloQ Blues.

What I want to say is that everything BHVR does results in BP and I feel like the community always wants more regardless of how much they offer.
BHVR always gives BP when the game is broken, in mystery boxes, in redeemable codes, when you watch a live stream, in events that happen or when it simply wants to.
I understand that from the perspective of a new player this is very good since DBD's Grind is very extensive but it is not as bad as it used to be but I also understand that from a veteran player's perspective, he really has nothing to gain.
For veteran players who had already achieved several things before the grind change, BP became a little useless because the change not only benefited everyone in general, which is really a good thing, but it made life a lot easier for those who had already provided everything the game had to offer at the time.
I feel like BHVR could offer other cooler rewards but why do that when they know the community always wants BP...
As someone with over 5,000 hours, I've seen almost everything. I've escaped, been sacrificed, been Mori'd, performed sacrifices, tunneled survivors, been tunneled, ect, ect.
Bloodpoints and raising the Prestige on my characters is now what fuels me. It's my way of showing love to characters I've come to love.
Also, I don't use the auto-spend bp feature. I go out of my way to buy the more expensive items.
I must admit I'm a bit of a hoarder with my items too and I like to collect purple toolboxes and medkits.
I guess the best way I can explain it is that aside from the game, it gives you a side hobby, something to show off, even if just to myself as with my items.

Well, my fellow 2018 DBD player, my best memories from when I started playing are, naturally, Freddy.
Nothing in DBD was as fun as playing Old Freddy, and nothing will ever come close. He was my killer, my reason for playing. I loved that character, and I still love him.

16m doesnt look far off Ormond entrance to main gen, maybe 14m or so?
Perhaps he had something like PWYFstacked up, or some other haste buff that made his TR seem smaller?
Possibly. I can't believe I deleted the video π

couldof been Undetectable some how
I recorded the match but accidentally deleted it. I wish I could show you.
I did look at his perks and there was nothing that would have given him Undetectable Status.
His add-ons were the Iridescent forever Tier III and the Green add-on that makes you stalk faster.
Perhaps it was a bug or a glitch.... it scared me though.
He hit Tier II almost instantly after we loaded into the match which is not surprising on Ormond for Myers but his proximity to me with no TR was insane.
I was only surprised because of his build. If I had seen the yellow rabbit or Monitor and Abuse, I wouldn't have even made this thread. Something was definitely not right.
Come to think of it, I didn't see his red stain in Ormond main building either. Very strange π€
I only remember two of his perks were Bamboozle and Pop Goes The Weasel.

HIs terror radius is still the same, it's just that Myers players usually don't run straight to your location so you feel like his terror radius is bigger than it actually is :)
@Rick1998 said:
it has always been 16 m in tier 2 since his release
So then he's only 32m in tier 3? I don't recall the old description saying it was slightly reduced in tier 2. I thought it was only slightly reduced in tier 2 if he was stalking. Either way, I've been playing against him for years and never had him that close with no TR unless he was in Tier 1.

Just hopping in to thank all of you for your feedback on the survey! We're pulling this feedback together to share with the team, so the requests for a "check all" option and notes about the length are extremely helpful.
I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread for any additional feedback, so seriously, thanks again folks!I'd like to say that I sincerely appreciate being asked about the toxicity of people that I play with in the survey.
I know toxicity will always exist in any game, but I appreciate you measuring how many players feel it. Hopefully it can be reduced, even if by a small amount.

Not shaming really. If you're going to put your opinions out in public it's not shaming when people find out you said it.
Like ifc you don't need to say who lol I just don't see how it's shaming.
I meant shaming in terms of breaking the forums rules. Like how when we post a screenshot of endgame we cover everybody's names so they don't get harassed by trolls. Thank you though for verifying that it is not true. I appreciate it π

It was two of them but I'm not shaming anyone lol. The Killer was streaming and also the slugged Survivor and you could watch from both perspectives. It's funny because they both say it and so it made me wonder.

I came to DBD after the covid area Warzone when that game started to deteriorate. In that looting chests, reloading, putting on armour plates by default you had to hold the button down. From that I knew how important toggle instead of button hold could be. After a few days of trying to do skill checks, look around for stealth killers and holding down a button all at the same time on a controller and plenty of missed skill checks, I realised toggle was a thing. Plus I was a scared baby survivor back then running Spine Chill but bricking it against a Ghost Face which was quite common as it was Halloween 2021!
Toggle is 100% a game changer on controller. Really didn't realise people didn't know and held a button continually still!
I only figured it out roughly a year ago myself.

Will do! I've always intended to have a browse through settings but aside from anonymous mode and camera sensitivity I've never felt the need to
You're going to be in heaven. If you play on console, you can relax more as your Survivor auto repairs the generator (minus skillchecks) while you look around for stealth killers. You'll know what I mean when you feel it. Just don't forget to also turn on Run to Cancel. Can't wait to hear how your experience is! Have fun!
-
@TWS001 said:
I thought everyone knew this already and haven't been sat holding down a button on gens or healing for years?
I see a good chunk of Survivors say it's boring to sit on a generator and hold a button. I'm guessing a few will benefit from this.

This is really helpful, I had no idea I could do this π
Please play a match with those settings for Survivor and let me know how it felt!
Toggle and Run to Cancel. Select both.
It's beautiful. Work on a generator? One tap until you have to bolt. Heal a teammate? Same. Heal yourself with medkit or self care? Same. Just one press.
You do still have to hit skill checks but this relieves so much stress.
-
For Killers and Survivors: You do NOT have to hold a button to complete most actions!
Go to Options and change the interaction behavior from "Hold" to "Toggle"
This allows a Survivor to only press a button once to repair a generator rather than holding it the whole time.
For Survivor, be sure to turn on Run to Cancel.
It allows Killers to break pallets and walls with one tap instead of a press and hold.
Here is a screenshot. Life is so much easier like this π
-
Currently have Nurse at P2, going for P3. Then Twins, Hag, Blight and Pyramid Head are all at P0 still π.

I play a lot of houndmaster however she is kill switched for the Winter Event..I am still spending 2k per offering in my bloodweb.
If I don't get to play the event with her, I shouldn't have to pay 2k per offering that comes up in my blood web. It sounds small, but it adds up to be a lot of BP I am losing. Sure I dont have to spend it with her, but I main her now with Sadako so I want to invest what I earn.
I wish I could get the bp back since I am missing out on the extra points with her anyways. :(
I am using this opportunity to P3 Killers I will never play just to have all Tier 3 perks unlocked on everyone π
-
Lightweight completely kills me on certain maps like Ormond forexample.
I'll be in chase, get bloodlust I and it's as though the Survivor vanishes.
Sure enough, when that happens they're running that perk.
Nerf Lightweight! Lightweight is OP! π
-
Every match, I thought they were all considered winter chests...? In my matches only the basement chests have no snow covering them.

Before it was changed BBQ was the most common killer perk AFAIK and it had nothing to do with the auras.
I still use Beast of Prey lol. The last remaining bloodpoints perk on either side.
-
@Equinox_One said:
BP perks are cute in theory but in reality feel far too mandatory and mean that you're effectively playing with 1 less slot available.
I feel that way with Kindred and Lightborn anyway. May as well get some BPs and it's optional. Nobody has to run it that doesn't want to.
-
@SoGo said:
Well, most of my perk ideas would not really work on the other side, but maybe one for a status effect I made could:
New Status Effect: AmnesiaAmnesia causes the in-game HUD to entirely disappear, replacing it with a special filter (hazy, blue-ish edges of the screen)
It would go wonderfully in conjuction with Blindness, for both of the sides.
This is good brainstorming! I like it !

Jason coming to dbd? Too soon?
My dream would be that he comes with two Survivors. Tommy Jarvis and one of the counselors that Gun created such as Tiffany Cox.
If I had my way, Gun would allow BHVR to use Tiffany and their Kane Hodder skins in the game as well.
It would be amazing if the rights holders, Gun, and BHVR could agree on something.

We face him enough (likely low MMR) but even when it isn't a Myers they often completely forget so are still susceptible to being jump scared or freaked out π
Honestly, I haven't done it nearly enough yet. This post is inspiring me to try it more
Are you on comms with your SWF when you do that? I can imagine the things they yell at you.
Edit:
I did scare a Feng Min on accident in SoloQ once. We were facing a Freddy with the add-on to start everyone in the Dream World. I came running into the Killer Shack at Ormond in this...
She blew up the gen and repeatedly pointed at me and crouch spammed. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe π€£

thatβs just Corpse paint. Very popular in the Black metal scene. Trust me when I say people who wear corpse paint will most likely have the joy of a puppy. Normally those Jeffβs are the nicest players you will ever meet. Give them a boop as you would a pig

How often does your SWF face Myers? They probably see you first, panic, then assume Myers is you again for a second π€£
The Jeff's that wear that always come running up to me on a dark map.
it's so scary and I probably cost the whole team the game when I accidentally blow up the gen thinking Myers is approaching π³

This event feels like I am barely getting any more than a regular match, which renders the whole thing all but pointless for me since I play events for the BP since they are really all that matters for progression in this game.
The offerings are bugged. I've just been bringing Screech Cobblers.
-
I did better than ever when I played as him the other day. I should stress that I use him as an M1 Killer because I can't for the life of me figure out how to control him when he's doing slice n dice. It's like once you launch him, he keeps moving forward, impossible for me to hit even a baby survivor who moves slightly left or right.
I thought he was hard because I was playing him on Nintendo Switch but I've been on PS5 for months and I swear his power is the only thing that actually feels worse on better hardware. I don't get it.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OT6QDFPJ5VRF/snowman.jpg
Ive searched for what feels like forever trying to find one and I havent. I feel like the happy, inflatable snowmen got removed and just fully replaced with the fleshy, rotting snowmen instead. Which is a shame since I actually liked the mix of both, it gave this decent mix of morbid and jolliness that felt nice. D:
Maybe if we hang up missing posters they will come back?
I miss these so much π’
I really hope they come back next year, they are far superior and it's actually scarier when a Killer jumps out of a friendly βοΈ because the vibe leading up to it isn't as intense so it does the job better.

Yeah, something like that. Maybe BHVR implemented code to subtract 50% from the incentive to make sure it didn't compete with 2v8, and they forgot to remove that code after 2v8 ended.
This started with the last Lights Out

It's been bugged since Chaos Shuffle returned a while ago. I hope they address it in one of the upcoming hot fixes because it's quite overdue to be fixed.
