There's no way. This has been a known issue. I have the same problem on Switch and PlayStation 5. I also can't even unfriend some players that I no longer wish to have on my friends list.

I despise going against him in SoloQ. With the announcement of him leaving, I decided to play as him and I am enjoying it. I grabbed his cosmetics and completed his Playstation Adept this weekend.

Switch has anno too? See ik they are rarest players compared to the other plateforms but I wouldn’t know.
Yes, Switch and PlayStation both have Anonymous Mode.

I think one of the things that wears down a person playing dbd is just how fiercely competitive it can be. And how unrewarding it can be with so much focus on either escaping all the time or killing all the time. I think it would be great to add a mini game to dbd like a pinball game. You get a token for each trial that you complete, whether you escape or kill survivors wouldn't matter. You can then use a token to play a round of pinball. The rewards could be a bunch of different stuff, changing frequently between perks, cosmetics and items. Maybe even a pinball game for killer and one for survivor.
There could also be a lederboard with top winners, with special prizes awarded to those at the top of the list.
There would have to certain conditions to getting tokens, of course, such as you couldn't die on your first hook. No dcs and no offing onself on hook. This would keep people from loading into games in order to "go next" to get a token in order to grind. It might also slightly lessen people going next, as doing so would deprive them of a token and rewards.

It might not be an in-game minigame, but DBD Pinball does exist, and it is pretty cool!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2660530/Pinball_M__Dead_by_Daylight_Pinball/
Would be neat to have something like this as a little minigame, though.
Yes, this game is cool. I actually play a few tables when I need a break from dbd.

@Dadeordye in response to your question, turning on Anonymous Mode keeps you Anonymous thereby relieving the social pressures you're feeling performing in front of a group.
When you're Anonymous, it doesn't matter if you were an embarrassment or an amazing success.
You'll quickly stop worrying about what the Survivors think about you as your gamer tag will not appear.

Heck, when I'm playing killer, sometimes I get jumpscared by a survivor that was hiding at a pallet who jumps out of nowhere to pallet stun, ha!
I'm so guilty of doing that 😆 I love pallet scaring the Killer.
I got my first stun from behind on this Hillbilly in 2v8 🤣

From 17:38 to 17:58 this guy says something that I've never realized before to be an actual thing: Killer anxiety.
There's so much BS killers have to endure from the survs every match…
For myself I can say that I do get this EVERYTIME, but 90% of these times I still go through and play killer. The other 10% I can't go through mostly because I had a crappy day at work and I know playing killer will make this much worse.Turn on Anonymous Mode in online settings. You'll still have the anxiety, but it's reduced tremendously. XBOX platforms are the only ones that don't have this feature.

Hello everyone 😊
I’m having a difficult time thinking of different Trapper builds. Can you all help me?
What are you best Trapper builds? What are some of the different playstyles you use for him?
I’m very curious because I love how he creates anxiety and paranoia during the match.
I don’t care about the 4k or anything so meta builds won’t be necessary. I’m just looking for a playstyle that offers an exciting experience for the Survivors.
My Trapper Build is
- Lightborn
- Brutal Strength
- Corrupt Intervention
- Monitor and Abuse
I like to place random traps in the grass or in hallways. Not at pallets, because people expect them there.
Monitor and Abuse is such a slept on perk. It's shocking to me how much closer I can approach Survivors working on generators. I actually use Monitor and Abuse on just about everyone except Wraith and Onyro.
I even get a lot of value with it on Huntress despite her Lullaby.
For add-ons I go with the setting a trap is silent brown and the green one that makes the traps harder to see. I love playing Trapper.

Pinhead's power centers around the box. Without it, his chase power is really weak and barely does anything. Therefore, your focus should be in predicting the box spawn points and getting it activated it time after time to keep your momentum. Once the chain hunt starts, you should be able to finish chases much quicker and keep the pressure on, so ideally a good Pinhead game looks like: Down a survivor -> get the box -> down a survivor -> get the box →repeat.
Beyond that, I wouldn't sweat too much about getting his achievements now. I don't know how it works on Playstation, but when Stranger Things chapter got removed, I lost my achievements on that chapter and I am not sure if BHVR has added them back to this day.
I got it 👍
It was luck though. I got one AFK Survivor and Haddonfield.

Definitely don't hesitate to share your fondest Cenobite memories with us - we want to hear 'em!
And for convenience-sake since I know there will likely be some questions, I've included the FAQ about this here: dbd.game/3XspEB5
How would this work if you are currently on Nintendo Switch since if you use cross-progression to another console, you must repurchase the DLC?
If you are on Switch and use cross-progression after April 4th, how could you possibly use Pinhead on your PS5 or other platform since you won't be able to buy the character?

in the title. Just pondering.
I don't know as it is not my playstyle as Killer.
However, three really good streamers/ content creators that I watch don't pick one or the other - they always run both.
Maybe you could do that and over time decide which one to omit from your build, or continue to use both.
Just thought I'd share that information in case you were interested.

While I partially agree, I think it's also worth pointing out that players have also optimised their play more and more. The skilllevel that sufficed when Pyramid Head released is simply lower than the skilllevel required now.
Another, more concrete example. Years ago, people still did totems. Nowadays, you'll get flamed for even starting one if there's no hex in play.
I... still can't resist... if I see a totem and nobody is hooked, I'm getting my 1,000 bloodpoints. I can't help myself 💀
-
I've been facing either brand new Survivors or Sabo teams as Freddy so for him I'm using Lightborn, Agitation, Iron Grasp and Mad Grit.
For Myers, I'm using Lightborn, Brutal Strength, Iron Grasp and Monitor & Abuse.
I run Medic in 2v8.
SoloQ is Kindred, Deja Vu, Resilience, We'll Make It.

It would already help if they change the rarity of party streamers or map offerings. Its just too many green items. Maybe bulk bloodpoint spending will get a useful feature to help with that.
But im curious: you have many posts, so i assume you played DbD a lot. Do you really have a shortage an items? I cant run out of things and just dump all bp on a character to get prestige 100. If i wouldnt be so dumb to enjoy a higher prestige number the amount of bloodpoints i get would be far too much.
Not a shortage in general, but certainly many shortages on different Survivors and Killers.
For example, I have a ton of items for Nancy and Steve but just garbage for my P3 Ripley.
Same issue with Killers but worse because they all have unique add-ons. It's exhausting. I need more bloodpoints.

Bond =people initially sandbag with this perk. I never once do not experience anyone who do not use this perk correctly only to sabotage their teamates , running to injure people, running to killer to gens thst needs to be out asap for 3 gen avoidance. They are way worst than distortion users by margins.
Sprint burst= used usually with fixated and urban where someone can be on the hook, one person on chase and other is already injured or doing a gen far away from said sprint burst user which leave it up to them to unhook causes a hook person to go 2nd stage. Yes believe it or not it still happens.
I occasionally used Bond, Kindred, Prove Thyself and Open-Handed.
I used Bond for information, to locate and heal injured teammates, and to use Prove Thyself (Before the nerf).
I'm sorry you've only seen it for selfish purposes but I don't doubt you.
I don't like when a teammate brings a key. My experience with key teammates is probably as bad as your Bond experiences.

how the turn tables turn if that’s the case. Fingers crossed they add it into the match menu once loaded in , instead of the pre-game lobby and save everyone the headache.
I really wish the lobby timer was 15 seconds longer for Killers.
Survivors and their loadouts would lock in at 1:00 and then give the Killer at least 15 seconds in case they want to equip Lightborn for example.
Even in SoloQ matches where I win, I don't feel like it was necessarily fair if my teammates switched to flashlights or other things at the last second.
The Killer shouldn't be manipulated in the lobby like that.
-
No, some players spent a lot of BP on them over the years. Back when Stranger Things was leaving, I used a Hawkins offering every single game until I was out.
Let people have their fun with the time that is left. There's always sacrificial wards.
I personally would like to see the map offerings retired and some sort of BP compensation. Only a 20% chance? Not worth it. Virtually nobody will use them and if they stay in the Bloodwebs, we'll be forced to spend BP on them.
I personally love map offerings but I have to look at the broader playerbase and acknowledge they are problematic.
I think the maps and Sac Wards should be retired.
Edit: Or just compensate by giving us Bloody Partystreamers in exchange for our maps. Since maps turned out to be so divisive, let's have the one offering that doesn't upset anyone but still impacts all players in a positive way.

Well, the thing is - your message is not going to get hidden with 5 downvotes (like you know where).
Because imagine what would've happen with all constructive criticism being hidden or sorted down just due to downvotes.
Now, if we don't like something, but don't want to get downvoted to oblivion - we might start our messages with:
- Guys! I love this game! But…
- Hey guys, I'm so sorry to say, but…
- No offence…
- I'm a fan of this feature, but…
- I'm gonna get downvoted, but…
Oh please Lord. :D
Don't stress about it just yet my friend!
Often times we expect one thing and then get totally surprised by what happens.
For example, do you think The Spirit was expecting this?

There are some frustrating tiles that can waste a lot of time for Pig on that map, but it's not too bad.
What probably cooked you is if they were on comms, your biggest problem will have been the fact that all the clutter makes it hard for you to see, and your main strengths in it (small profile and relatively small map to sneak around in) will have been completely taken off you and caused you a lot of problems.
Your head traps also won't have been fantastic because small map is a double edged sword, where although your map traversal is better, your headtraps are much less lethal... and your NOED would also have been easy to find as well. I assume your NOED was cleansed pretty quick?
They didn't find it. I hooked her by an exit gate and when I saw two of them sneaking around, I opened the gate, signaled for them to save and walked away. I couldn't even see the aura of it, probably because of the more vibrant colors.

Nothing against you, but how did you play 5k hours on switch? I played a few hours on it and it's absolutely awful, with that I don't even mean the controlls that feel even more horrible than other controllers, but the performance that's super laggy (maybe I just played on a bad patch where it was very bad, but I don't know) xD
Well to get back to the post: yes that would be good, I genuinely didn't know that crossplay works like this and I don't even know who thought about this as a good idea. Of course you'd only want your kind of divice and not all plattform except yours in general, that's way to specific xD
Switch was all I had. I've always been a loyal Nintendo guy and nothing on the other consoles interested me at all at the time.
-
I was finally beaten and quite badly as Pig recently. I got one hook only after all gens were completed using NOED.
The map was Toba Landing and I was humiliated. I had dominated all my Pig games since playing her and then this team just cooked me. Ggs to them though. I let them unhook and save their friend.
Is this a notorious bad map for her? There just seemed to be too much clutter to use her dash appropriately.

I just feel like BHVR shot themselves in the foot with this. Regardless of what mode you're playing, if you play survivor you get a 400% bonus? How does this help 2v8 queues exactly. Like if I was a hardcore survivor main, killer doesn't interest me even with a friend, I just want to play survivor, I'd see this and be like "400% bonus for existing in 1v4? Say no more!" Like I have to wonder if that actually is helping at all. I know it's mainly there to make people switch off of killer in 2v8, but then why is it there in 1v4 at all if that's the case? If your main focus is to get people to stop playing 2v8 killer, or at least get enough people off of it. I feel like this is going to make the results in the morning very interesting to see because I am curious if having this bonus on both survivor queues actually did something or if it did not that much or nothing like I'm predicting it will.
I don't know why they did the 400% on 1v4 but the 400% incentive has my playing Survivor 2v8 for the BP. Matches are much faster and you'll likely leave with more BP than 1v4 given you're almost guaranteed to be getting significantly more objective category points by working on generators together.
I use Medic and save everyone until I'm max in Altruism, then I go do co-op generators.
I know you can't bring cake offerings in 2v8 but given how fast the Matches go, win or lose, I find it much quicker to get BP in 2v8.

Oh really? Well my awnser was under the assumption that only steam, microsoft and epic are cut (I also thought, on pc it would only cut xbox, playstation and switch. But I guess you're steam-only then too as excample). In that case I see the problem, and yes, it should probably just have toggles or an console only option to choose from what you play with.
I personally don't have a PC. I played 5000 hours on Switch, then cross-progressed to PS5.
Hopefully OP will clarify what they meant as perhaps the post could be viewed differently by different players.

Did anyone play last night (Sunday, February 16) or into the early hours of the morning (Eastern Time)?
I had a few Killer matches with a 50% Incentive in 1v4 and indeed received that extra 50% for the killer matches I played.
My understanding (forgive me if I'm wrong) is that bhvr set the incentives manually to 400% Survivor while they conduct the 2v8 testing.
Just curious if seeing and receiving 50% on Killer last night could be an indication for those at BHVR looking into the issue that is the topic of the thread.
Also, once 2v8 ends please do send the information that @Mandy requested in this thread to @JocelynAwakens if you haven't already.
Thank you to those helping and especially to Mandy and Jocelyn who are kind enough to take this seriously enough to investigate as I know they are busy with many things. You are appreciated 🤗

yeah you can turn off crossplay.
I think OP wants the option just to turn off PC Crossplay. In other words, they want an option that allows Playstation, Switch and XBOX to be able to play together without PC players and unfortunately turning off Crossplay isolates you from all other platforms, not just the one they wish to avoid.
-
My biggest problem with the Survivor tutorial is that it tells you to attempt to unhook yourself the first time you're hooked. I played it as I was waiting for the game to download to my PS5 when cross-progression became available.
That should not be encouraged, especially with the amount of people who give up so easily.
I still can't believe it doesn't instruct you to wait until there's no chance you're getting saved. Shocking.
