Even though I was using the anonymous feature, someone knew my name. I thought the game was bugged, but it turned out he was cheating. That experience was eerie.
The menu screen they have is creepy. The fact they know your platform is crazy.

I've had a quite obvious speedhacker two days ago. Reported the person in-game, clipped the game, added an ingame screenshot, filed a report at the dbd customer service including clip+screenshot. Received an email back + report feedback that action has been undertaken.
The thing is, this player was extremely bad and the cheating was quite obvious. I've spectated a game once playing survivor after I had died and saw a fellow survivor fly towards generators when far away from the killer. Now how would you prove that as killer player? Only reason I could see that is because I was spectating and the cheater either forgot or simply didnt care.
A very obvious helping tool would be a replay function where you can rewind the whole match and view the game from all perspectives, maybe even a freecam function. But this is probably not possible with this engine/code they have. Would elevate the game an insane amount though
They have numerous accounts. They're not bad at cheating, they want it to be obvious. One account gets banned, they have 20 more ready to go.
-
I have stopped playing because of it. Hackers not only ruin your Killer games, but they can literally take over your character and make you look like a hacker.
They have a menu screen that shows them who the Killer is in the lobby, which perks they have, which platform they are on and they see the same about their teammates.
This is a game as a service, we need a response.
If you go to McDonald's every day and see flies and 🪳, I think it is reasonable to ask the manager what they intend to do about it.

Oh my gosh!!! And you can’t record on Switch can you? Wow… this is really awful. Maybe reporting might still be of some help even without video proof?
Edit: Maybe you can play in a 4 person swf or 5 people kill your friends? I’m sure people on the forums would want to play with you! It’s sad leaving another player out of the fog 😞
We used to be able to record on Switch but not anymore. I don't even know who to report in the second situation. There are 3 other survivors, could have been any of them. I reported the Killer for the backwater swamp thing because he was using other blatant hacks.
Being framed is not worth it. I will wait for BHVR to address it, then return.
Until then, I will be playing Super Mario and Sonic games. I miss my Nancy though 😕

Huh! TIL! That’s crazy
Yeah, first time I was on backwater swamp and healing. My character literally stopped the heal, threw down a pallet and ran herself to the Killer who was quite a distance away.
A few days ago, I would instantly DS a killer in a trial but I wasn't doing it as I never use that perk. It was obviously a fellow Survivor hacker so I turned the game off and haven't played since.
This has gone way too far for me. I didn't want the Killer thinking I was cheating on purpose, so I left.
-
Yeah, and they can take over your character now too. It's literally like they have access to your controller. It happened to me twice and support won't even look into it.

Grateful the most beautiful girl in the world is in the game

Seeing as BHVR clearly wants to diminish Pig's slowdown and buff her anti loop instead, how would people feel about removing her roar?
Yes!!! That Killer is terrifying 😳
Please remove the roar!!!

Any advice from vets who have been burned out before. When you feel like you aren't having fun anymore on either side how do you move your goal posts to start trying to have fun again.
Maybe it's the matchmaking but I feel like I'm being outplayed or beat on both sides and I'm just not enjoying myself anymore. When I play solo survivor I'm lucky if I escape 2 or 3 times out of 10 games and when I play killer I feel like I don't have a second to breathe before 2, 3, or 4 gens are done or I getting taken to looping school all day.
Is this remedied by literally just taking a break? I know others have probably felt like this before. I'm not new either I have over 4k hours in the game.
Break time. Play solo games though- Mario, Sonic, stuff like that. Take a break from PvP altogether. Come back for the Anniversary.

Last night on dead dawg and the game I got the same cheater lol. I made it my mission to condemn mori someone without him instantly decisive striking me if I chose to pick up.
That’s fine, I’ll slug and condemn. It served me well. The only one I couldn’t get was the Cheater. Then he messaged me and told me not to play like that because it’s slimy and cheap. The audacity. 🤣 because you couldn’t save your friends with your HACKS please…..
I reported of course (twice) I use to get notifications by Dbd about reports. I rarely do now. I hope they’re still combating the cheaters. I know it isn’t easy.
Several cheaters openly stream on TikTok showing off all their hacks while they troll killers… it’s annoying.
They stream it on YouTube too

I caught a Bill going down in the basement as soon as the match started as scratched mirror Myers. I literally grabbed him off the chest he was opening .
Must have given that player a heart attack lol
I can't stop laughing 😆

Most of us are on console and haven't felt anything yet. It is 'unknown' to us. We cannot answer your question.

@TheNameIsGilgamesh said:
The fear factor from scratched mirror Myers will eventually wear off. I had survivors that told me how boring it is to face it.
They're lying to you. They just don't want you using it.

Balanced. Wide open, day time. I would say I escape as Survivor and get a 3K as Killer roughly the same here.

In this case, it's most likely that you are still within the normal range for matchmaking. The matchmaker increases your "confidence" score the more matches you play. As its confidence in your rating goes up, your rating is adjusted less. This way it can more quickly find where you're supposed to be at first and then focus on fine tuning it. After you've played a bunch of matches and built up that confidence, your rating won't change much from a single loss. It's possible that although their rating did increase and your rating decreased, you're still within the acceptable starting range for matchmaking.
Or in short, your rating only move a little bit after a single match, not enough to completely change who you face.
Thank you for the clarification ☺️
-
@Peanits said:
To clear things up, this is absolutely untrue. The game always tries to find you people around your current rating. It does not try to artificially help you win by pairing you with better players.
Hi Peanits,
Question: if mmr is based on kill or survival, how is it possible that I can go against the same killer player twice in a row if they got a 4k in the 1st match?
After the 1st match, their mmr should go up for the 4k and mine should drop for dying.
How can we possibly get matched together instantly the next match? Shouldn't we both have gone to different mmr levels 🤔

Same on Nintendo Switch

There is no orange clock icon on them. This indicates to me they are here to stay. Remember the winter cosmetics had a red ! And an orange ⏰️ to indicate they were new AND limited?

I'll add on-to the add-on talk :3 like SimFeliz and Xernoton said, there's a "meme" aspect to it where you don't want to take the round entirely serious.
There is, however, two other reasons!
1) 100% bonus bloodpoints for catching Survivors in Bear Traps
2) Along with bonus BP, when you hit Survivors out of a bear trap (and they are not yet aware of Padded Jaws), they automatically think they are downed and may take them a moment to realize they're only injured, often allowing them to be follow-up hit... I know, because: I am frequently, THAT Survivor 😅
Yes and yes 🙌

Any trial where there is a Nancy and I'm her Jonathan. It feels romantic 😍
And it makes me a better player
I like when we find each other and excitedly start spam crouching because we are so happy to see each other ❤️

There are Tome Challenges that literally require a 4K as well. That often is lost in these conversations.

@Xernoton said:
I have read many times that survivors do not want their prestige to be revealed in the pre game lobby. The reasoning behind it is that killers seem to tunnel P100 survivors quite frequently. I personally don't have a P100 survivor, so I cannot speak on this. However, it seems unintuitive to me because we also have people dodge lobbies with P100 survivors.
This would imply that some killer players are intimidated by high prestige survivors. If that is the case though, why would they tunnel them instead of the low prestige players in the lobby? Is that really a common thing?
Another question I have is how people typically react to your P100 characters in the end game chat. I have seen everything from people being happy to play against me to prestige shaming but it's mostly positive reactions, if at all.
If you had the option, would you hide your prestige in the pre game lobby? Would you do it in the post game lobby too?
Those are two different killers. The ones that dodge are afraid and thus dodge. The one's willing to stay tunnel you.

Play on Nintendo Switch - The whole game looks like it was designed for Nintendo 64

Also, this ridiculous xp event is going on where double xp doesn't kick in until your 5th match. Why not get out of the first 4 consecutive ones asap?
-
People are more or less over that. At this point, people are burning out. SoloQ is awful and people need a break. The game is addictive so it's hard to take one, especially if there's an event or a rift.

Being matched with teammates in the same skill range as you doesn't automatically mean they'll do what you want, to be fair.
They could be focusing on challenges, adepts, they could be messing around for any reason, they could be drunk, they could be having a bad day...
There's a lot of reasons why you might get frustrated with random teammates that have nothing to do with their skill level.
I used to play drunk all the time 4 years ago.

Exactly. I am a Pig main and I use the traps for pressure so I don't have to bring 4 slowdown perks. With the new inability to see the trap boxes and the incresaed time, the traps are pretty much useless unless you are going against new players that are like "Derp? What's this blinking light arond my neck?"
The Pig is too jump scary 😨

I’d love for the hook bubbles to be removed. I honestly have zero idea why they’re even in the game and it takes away from the value of perks like kindred.
And I’m sorry to hear about your migraine problems, most of my family deals with them and I know how destructive they can be to your everyday life, hope you find some relief. My mom has consistently dealt with these for 30 years now and has recently found that electric stim therapy around the base of her neck and above her eyebrows has done a pretty good job of subsiding them, as apparently it can reduce the production of a certain chemical that can induce migraines.
They are there so the Killer can use Insidious

Until I found out that it was not a bannable offense and I was just clogging up the report system, I used to report Suicide on Hook players as "Griefing - Assisting the Killer" or "Unsportsmanlike Conduct - Refusing to participate in normal gameplay".
I am sure majority of players still make this mistake... and tbh, I can't really think how you can call SoH anything other than Unsportsmanlike Conduct when the examples are "AFKing, rage quitting, idling, and refusing to participate in normal gameplay"... SoH satisfies at least 2 of those conditions.
There's an option called "Intentionally losing the match" I believe it is under unsportsmanlike.

I started maining him recently and every match I've had people either DC or kill themselves on hook. Why? If his power is annoying survivors just need to stay separated and he basically has no power.
I think Survivors are getting bored and irritable with Soloq and just about anything triggers them. I'm on a break myself, which I'm not happy about because I'm missing the rift.
