"i want to tunnel without getting punished in any ways at all so please make the perk useless"
We don't want to tunnel, we want to keep people off generators. I'll respect DS when they're on the ground as it still gives me momentum without putting them on a hook. Somebody jumping in a locker does neither of these things. They stay injured, or even healthy if the have Inner Strength, and I'm forced to either eat a stun or wait an unknown amount of time because the SURVIVOR is too boosted to loop me, since they clearly had the ability to make at least some distance from the hook to the locker.

And by fairer you mean matches against people below your skill level that you can stomp easily without putting in much effort? To top it off you achieve this by ruining dozens of games for people who just waited 10+ minutes to get a lobby? Great job! 🙏
Maybe if survivors weren't always toxic and crying for nerfs to perks and powers that have counterplay, queue times wouldn't be so high? Really makes ya think...

How can the key holder blow their chance? If you use a key you instantly jump through, and the reason it opens twice is because dun dun dunnnnn not all survivors are SWF so if you just lock out hatch because some random took it, the other random has no control over that.
Love everyone jumping in and being like "muh survivors need all the help" without actually thinking about why it opens multiple times with a little logic.
This is a TEAM game. You shouldn't get a get-out-of-jail-free card just because your team ######### you over

Also boil over needs something extra, the amount of times I've equipped boil over thinking I might get a couple escapes only to get hooked just as easily makes me wanna alt f4. I think saboteur should have allowed you to sabo a hook on the map that once complete leaves the hook in tact but if the killer uses it to hook a survivor within a certain timeframe of it being sabo'd the hook will break during the hook animation and the survivor falls to the floor. That would make me wanna use it
Boil over isnt intended to be a "get out of jail free" card. It's there to slow the killer down somewhat to get teammates to help you, especially with Breakout or Flip Flop. And that Saboteur rework is BEYOND broken, its already bad enough that the speed penalty is getting removed.

:( is that sarcasm
Unfortunately, no. Sabotaging is getting overhauled next patch. Sabotage can be finished in the time a killer takes to recover from a hit, but hooks only stay sabo'd for 30 seconds
-
Sorry, according to folks around here, it's your own fault for experiencing bugs :/
-
Seem fair, since hooks will be able to be sabo'd in 2 seconds next patch

What do you mean by massaging?
Presumably repeatedly canceling the unhook animation to be toxic

Before I continue, let me preface this with "I'm a killer main" but I also play Survivor and I have been a fair amount recently.
Anyway. Recently, I have gotten into 3 games, back to back with The Oni. Now the way to beat the Oni is to gen rush him, don't both healing. However, personally, I feel that the Oni should be nerfed in many a capacity
For a start, he can whip around corners with his demon dash, who came up with that and why? With the Billy, it's a tad different, you have a chance to miss but with the Oni, it's near impossible to miss. Especially around trucks etc.
and lastly but certainly not least. He gains blood fury ridiculously quick, I get the idea of the power but my god, he can go from Blood Fury to Demon Dash to Downed Survivor to Hooked Survivor and back to Blood Fury again within easily 1-2 minutes if he's efficient. Why?
Please, nerf him.
Also, off topic. Why did BHVR feel the need to remove the thing where you can't leave the trial with a bear trap on your head from the Pig, that's literally her entire kit and is precisely the point of the bear trap and yet they removed it. Now Pig mains get to be bullied at the gates and still escape, nice one.
Your "strategy" is literally the exact opposite of what you want to do against an Oni. Ironically, healing in the corner of the map is actually smart because it puts blood orbs far away from objectives, keeping the Oni's pressure low

Potato survivor using OoO
Me as Killer OwO
*Notices Self-Care*
*OwO what's this?*
-
Also keep in mind that Surge ONLY gives 8% regression, despite having the same wording as Overcharge. If it actually gave 18% regression, I could understand the long cooldown
-
Demogorgon, PLEASE. There's not nearly enough of us
-
Personally, I'm excited. 99% of the god OoO users already have and use it, so we're gonna have potatoes leading us to them

No, the killers job is to PLEASE THE ENTITY. Thats all. So ending the game after 30 seconds is not ok. I know this sounds ridiculous, but killer is supposed to make the game last as long as possible, it would be perfect if they got 12 hooks, not 4 kills. And defending gens is required for that.
Im not saying that you should be letting surviviors go, the game itself should be designed in a way that encourages NOT tunneling and NOT camping and discourages tunneling and camping.
That "lore" is just a cop-out for BHVR's ######### pip system
-
I like to sit and wait in those situations. Record it so they cant claim you held the game hostage, and see how long they're willing to sit there being toxic
-
@Archimedes5000 said:
I think you got it wrong.
Objective of the killer is to hook every survivior as much as possible and THEN kill them. To do that you HAVE to defend gens, otherwise its impossible. If you get 12 hooks and you didnt defend gens, then:
a) matchmaking ######### up
b) game is too killer sided, so killer needs to be nerfed
Thats how this game is. You CAN get a 4k without defending gens, but you wont get more than 8 hooks.
So basically, defending gens is not really your objective, BUT it IS and should always be REQUIRED to archieve your objective.
So yes, camping 1 person while waiting for gens to be done and then getting 1/2 more hooks and 1/2 more kills because of NOED is a failure and not doing your objective at all.
You are heavily overcomplicating the Killer's goal there buddy. The Killer's job is to KILL. The survivors try to escape, and we try to get their scrawny butts onto the meat hooks to feed the spider god. Until BHVR gives actual incentive to rank up, pips should not be a concern
-
@IronKnight55 said:
NOED needs changed. I don't know what those changes should be, though. It pretty much gives the killer a free kill for doing absolutely nothing. The killer could stand in the corner all game and still get NOED. It needs some changes.
By that logic, all exhaustion perks and DS need to be nerfed because you dont need to do anything to get them. Hell, DS and DH reward you for screwing up

Nah, the killer shouldn't get more points just because people want to play with their friends.
True, but we SHOULD get more points for having to face off against a team that effectively has perma-OoO with no downsides thanks to comms
-
Makes perfect sense. Hag has an addon that explicitly ignores another one to keep it from being broken, no reason for Huntress to not have the same thing
-
I'd be more concerned with the fact that one of its maps has broken textures/geometry on like half of it

loool perfect example of biased killer thinking. thx for prooving us right, that killers want easy 4k every game.
"I want to escape every game, and the Killer mains who want to stop me are entitled whiners"
-
A counterpoint for you:
This is DEAD by daylight. The game should be balanced where escaping is rare and a 4-man escape is unheard of. If you want a game where you win with no effort, go play Flee the Facility on Roblox
-
It's only even REMOTELY strong on indoor maps, which amounts to a whopping three out of what, twenty-something maps? All other maps have more than enough open space to see Myers coming from a mile away. With how many stealth killers are being released, it's really in your best interest to use your eyes as much as your ears, if not more. Spine Chill is very helpful for this, along with giving a 6% action bonus while the Killer is looking at you
-
No real reason to care IMO. Theres no reward for ranking up, you just get sweatier survivors
-
TBF Lery's is about THE WORST map you can possibly play nurse on

Yes run a ton of garbage perks and items every game to counter ONE perk that might not even be in play? Makes a ton of sense.
NOED has got to be the biggest crutch that still exists in this game; outside of some of the downright broken add-ons, mori's, and spirit fury.
Keys? People have to be dead before you can even start using them. It's realistically only going to be a SWF that gets 3 men out at 1 gen left, and they still had to 4 gens and someone had to die.
Adrenaline only rewards you if you win, and even then it's only really going to be useful if you are actively being chased. So the overwhelming majority of the time, it's only going to be useful on a single player. Everyone else gets...a speed boost to the exit gate.
Meanwhile, you can get NOED every single game you lose. And it practically guarantees you can facecamp out a kill or two.
OP killers like Freddy / Spirit don't need 4 perks to 3-4k every game. But you can slap NOED on them and just collect your free kills on the offchance you fall asleep at the keyboard and the survivors actually make it to the endgame.
Imagine thinking Spirit Fury is a crutch perk lmao. Just drop the pallet early, dont be greedy with your loops

More than enough time for the survivor to wiggle out of the killers grasp. Basically you took and streamlined what current sabo is and made it super easy for the survivors to get the desired results.
Demo Main here, just drop their butt on the ground and beat the everloving hell out of the little meatsack that touched your hook

Games are way more complicated than simple if / then statements.
Not for sounds they aren't. There's a different sound byte for each health state, nothing should affect that except changes to health states/sound perks like stridor
-
It would be stupid simple to figure out the sounds too. the arguments sould be (in a simplified format):
- if surv=injured, then play injured.mp3 for x meters
- if surv=dying, then play dying.mp3 for x meters
- if running=true play footsteps&runbreathing for x meters
- etc

No, no, NO! That means they have to leave a generator and risk getting... getting..... CAUGHT!
*le gasp*

@NullEXE said:
... I'm probably going to be reported for this, but this is the stupidest thing I ever read. You already did the wrong on dcing in matches in the first place to accumulate a ridiculous sentencing, and you think just because you can "play a few matches" you get off scott free? That's dumb, because people will manipulate that so that the dc penalty doesn't affect them.
Here's a better idea. Stop dcing from matches - if you hate the game that much you just que a game you're going to dc from. Then go play a different game.
Maybe you didn't hear me the first time: i explicitly mentioned CRASHING. And even with DCing, people DC against toxic opponents, and 99.9% of the time, the toxic person in question is long gone by the time you get into the next match.

High risk 😂😂😂
It’s low effort, high reward.
Do the bones and it does nothing. You even get 1k BP apiece for your troubles, 1500 if the dull lights up as you cleanse it.
-
It's used because its the only slowdown perk that has a meaningful effect besides old ruin
-
It would be fine if BHVR had decided to actually fix it instead of murdering Balanced Landing as a bandaid fix

Or just nerf and delete them all. They are unfun and ruin my gameplay experience so they need to go.
Silly boy, only the SURVIVOR'S gameplay experience matters! they give 4x the revenue, more if they main several survivors!
-
Honestly I would be fine with it if it deactivated under the following conditions:
- I hook somebody else (the biggest one IMO)
- The survivor is healed to Healthy
- The survivor jumps in a locker(also major)
- The survivor works on a generator or saves another survivor
-
The Killer doesn't get aura reading, you do. All the Killer gets is a loud noise indicator on your position. They don't even know which one is you.
-
they blocked on steam too, like any mature adult

"Hey man, hands off my bone!"
-
skip to 9:42 to see the endgame salt
-
Learn to play around it. he's slowed while shocking and his shock takes a moment to actually hit you. Just drop the pallet early like Freddy or Clown
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Because there’s already a pattern with the last lot of killers and reworks since Legion that (most of) the killers power themselves already provide additional objectives.
- Legion - mending
- Plague - cleansing
- Demogorgon - portal cleansing
- Freddy - alarm clocks
- Doc - snap out of it
- Oni - heal often
I’m pretty confident the next killer will also have an additional survivor objective tied into their power too. Hopefully as devs revisit older killers they consider adding in additional objectives into their power too.
So a global/universal secondary survivor objective isn’t really necessary.
All of those actions take about 10-15 seconds tops, and outside of Freddy and Doc, can be entirely ignored. Even Mending is a non-issue because its been nerfed into the ground

Oh rly? We're saved. I disregarded the perks because we were talking about add ons specifically.
Understandable. And like I said, the addon is literal garbage(something like 5 seconds of exhaustion from touching the portals)
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Because Survivors have to be able to win the game? If Killers had all the power every game we'd see teams get steamrolled. Solo's gotta be able to have a chance.
People seem to forget that the name of the game is DEAD by Daylight, not Alive at Daylight. Escaping should be a rarity, and 4-man escapes should be entirely unheard of
-
@Waffleyumboy said:

Hopefully not, but they didn't have any on recent killers so things look grim.
Demo has an (admittedly awful) addon to cause exhaustion with his portals, and both Demo and Oni have perks that apply exhaustion in their kits
-
If you see scratch marks accusations of camping are instantly void. Survivors need to learn to just wait 5 ######### seconds for the Killer to walk away
