I would like to interject that I shouldn't be forced to play in a good SWF to have a chance at winning either. When I play solo, I always know the outcome of the match based on the killer and that is horrible balance in a video game.
Play a game that has both sides using teams then. You can't play a game where you rely on teammates to succeed, then complain that your teammates aren't good enough to win

"This game is designed around bad survivors"
The typical must-4K-every-match-otherwise-I-go-cry-in-the-forums attitude.
It literally is. Ruin, the only reliable early-game slowdown perk(Corrupt is far too RNG based to be reliable) was nerfed for being "too frustrating for survivors". In a chase with equally-skilled survivor and Killer, the Killer can only catch the survivor in a reasonably amount of time if the survivor makes a mistake. Using Bloodlust as an excuse doesn't work because it takes nearly a minute to cap out, more than enough time for a gen to pop if 2 survivors are on it, with up to 3 popping in the time it takes them to get to a hook if they spread out

just make more holes in the fences and make all balconies doors instead of windows, EZ balance

Killers should never be nerfed just because of bad teams. That's the precise reason low-tier Killers get annihilated by the SWF death squads

It's not the killer's fault you have monkeys on your team

To be perfectly fair, that can also be easier said than done. If you're going up against a good killer with multiple slowdown perks-- especially on a map like Lery's with unsafe loops and very hidden totems-- stopping to cleanse five totems in the middle of the game is more often than not going to get you killed.
Granted, that's not always the case. Sometimes people will complain about it in spite of having ample time to cleanse the totems. In that case it's completely on them.
There's perks for that. Unlike NOED, perks like Small Game and Detective's hunch work all game, and have additional effects besides making totem hunting trivial

Honestly I'd really like this for a 2v8 gamemode, but again it all depends on what the devs want. Having this could force a lot of people out of the main queues into custom games with their friends, which would net the exact result they don't want.
On the other hand, at least 50% of the playerbase would like it if SWFs went to custom lobbies. Almost the entire Killer playerbase would like it, and I'm guessing a good number of survivors would like the hectic playstyle of 2 killers breathing down their necks. Hell, you could even make it competitive, the most sacrifices wins. The killers could attack each other while carrying survivors to force them to drop the survivor(not like DS, as a standard drop) and steal them
-
Wake up, then he's an M1 Killer with no power

- Unrelenting
- SF+Enduring literally only works once against good survivors, they'll drop future pallets early, forcing you to play with 2 perks. It also generally requires both together to be good, taking up an extra slot that could be used for a better perk
- NOED I agree with
- Blood Warden requires you to get a hook AFTER the gates are open, and any competent solo survivor will leave immediately if somebody goes down with open gates, ESPECIALLY against a Freddy, Billy, or other mobility killer
- Devour Hope is as far from a second chance perk as you can get. You need to get 3 unhooks from a considerable distance away to get any value, with it glowing like a christmas tree the entire time. 99% of the time, you will never see your 5th stack
- Rancor is incredibly easy to counter, as the Obsession sees the killer's aura after every generator. All they need to do is stay immersed until a gate opens, since they get notified of being Exposed upon the 5th gen popping(BHVR should make NOED do that too tbh)
- STBFL needs you to hit somebody who isn't the obsession EIGHT TIMES to reach its full potential, and downing the obsession cuts its power in half at max level if you don't have an M2 or instadown
- Unrelenting is a massive meme, especially since it doesn't affect misses that hit props, which I'm fairly certain are the majority of missed swings
-

Bitter Murmur - Losing gens reveal survivors.
Cruel Limits - Losing gens block windows.
Nemesis - failing to dodge a pallet stun punish survivor.
Nemesis + Play With Ur Food - speed boost for taking a pallet to face.
Rancor - almost a free kill. One survivor can be left for the end.
Tinkerer - Losing a gen highlights it and removes killers terror radius.
Spirit Fury - no, because killer doesnt have to be stunned to charge it.
Keep in mind that literally all of those perks are considered mediocre at best with the exception of Spririt Fury. Hell, only Tinkerer is considered mediocre, the rest are considered trash except under very specific builds

Thank you for having a civil conversation with me, I was slightly worried you'd be someone who seems they always have to be right. But I hope what I said can somewhat help to shed light. Of course some survivors may disagree with me, and they have a right, but half the time they make bait comments or stupid reasoning. At least you, and some other people took the time to answer clearly, it's refreshing.
I'm glad to have a civil talk about it too. I never met any disrespect, I was just genuinely curious about why survivors were upset about killers throwing the game to target them in a team-based game

Every point you mentioned has it's analogous for survivors.
- 4-man SWF----> Gamebreaking add-ons.
- Clicky flashlight users------> Really inconsequential on gameplay and laughable this is even an argument, but for the sake of it: smacking hooked survivors.

I don't think they should be punished for camping/tunneling, never said that as it is an actual method. I just find it annoying that because a survivor gets tunneled the whole game they are only being rewarded in one category, while the killer gets rewarded for chasing, downing, and even hooking a survivor. Yet if the other survivors do nothing who their teammate gets chased the whole game and get punished for their teammates incompetence.
In the Killer's defense, they get points in all their categories in the process of doing their objective, while survivors can only get points in one(which is incredibly dumb, btw)

Yes, that's true, but you have to take into account the fact that while you're busy, and let's say doing solos (sometimes happens in SWF), your teammates can be incompetent and not do the damn generators. Also over half the time when you're doing solos, your teammates hook farm you, and when they do try to take a hot, if the killer is tunneling they'll avoid that survivor completely and go for the recently unhooked person. You asked what some survivors think tunneling is, so there's your answer, someone who always is the one getting chased by the killer while the killer avoids any other survivors.
I still don't get why some people think the Killer should be punished if the survivors are too dumb to take advantage of them camping/tunneling. Granted, I never do either because it's boring as ######### and I need my Chili, but I think it's silly that some survivors think killers should be punished for camping when they are placing zero pressure on the other survivors

But yet you expect them to hold off the killer for 5 gens. People slip up even if they are amazing at chases, no one will be 100% perfect. And that's not the killer or survivors fault, but there's an issue when that same killer refuses to chase other survivors even when given opportunity but chases that one survivor relentlessly.
assuming you're competent at chases and the killer is a camper/tunneler, you should be able to run a killer around for 1-1.5 gens, possibly even 2 since campers tend to be bad in chases. You have two minutes on the hook, plus anywhere between 1-15 seconds of travel time to the hook, which is easily enough time for the other three survivors to slam out 2-3 more generators with time to spare to grab you. If they have BT or if you have DS, you're as good as escaped, especially if they actually take a hit for you instead of vanishing the instant they unhook you.

What can I say... luckily, anyone can assess credibility by their own standard and you're not the collective judge of that. In the current state of the game, survivors can't hide for long even if they locker swap spamming emotes. They were able to hide due to killer's mistakes, who didn't know what to look and listen for. I know it's a bit harsh, but it's also true. I have 1k hours in dbd. I can count on one hand the time immersed survivors were able to hide for 5 min tops.
Also, I looked at this person's channel. The video right before this one is titled "Let's get toxic Freddy". I suggest watching that one as well to get a full perspective.
Claiming that something doesn't exist when you just saw video evidence of it is pretty objectively non-credible

Bots will never be as good as human players, and, frankly, if people are too immature to finish a game because 'Whaa! I got 'tunneled' (whatever that means to me)' or 'Boo-hoo! I don't like Ghostface!' then they deserve bans, regardless of if there's bots or not to replace them.
Actually, the mobile bots are pretty damn good from what I hear.

This, no one can hold off the killer forever, one wrong slip up whether it be from the person being tunneled will get them killed.
That's the point. If you slip up and make a mistake, you should be punished. Killers are punished HARD for the mistakes they make against any team with a higher combined IQ than warm porridge, so why should Survivors be any different?

My head hurts from over sleep as it is to even bother thinking of a sentence to reply with.
"You can't get camped if you don't get downed in the first place"
Made me lol, this is just dumb.
It's literally true. If you can properly loop a killer, you won't go down, won't get hooked, won't get camped, etc. And if/when you DO go down, you have 2 hooks available to survive. There are perks to avoid getting ######### over by teammates that are too stupid to wait for the killer to leave before unhooking, like Off the Record, DS, Dead Hard, Lucky Break, and Iron Will. It's not the Killer's fault if your teammates are too selfish to take a hit for you or at the very least show themselves to the killer to provide an alternate target, considering the majority of killers want to hook somebody other than the guy who just got saved thanks to Chili. Like it or not, the Survivor gameplay is team-based. If your team is bad, the killer should NOT be punished. DbD is a 4v1 game, not a 1v1.

Do YOU have any you'd like to share?
Then theres really no reason to be upset if you get tunneled. Ranks don't matter, bloodpoints obviously don't matter since survivors like to slam out gens and leave immediately, so what's the big deal? Loop him for 5 gens and leave for free with adrenawin

You assume my perk build because of my name? Because of my preferred playstyle?
Here's the build that I JUST got to red with: Lithe, Dance with Me, Quick and Quiet and Self-Care.
You ASSUME things about me, and that's the problem. I can loop, but not godly like you're telling everyone who get tunnelled to. I don't use Adrenaline, and ever will. I HATE one-use perks, and the only reason I ever used Decisive Strike was literally as an anti-tunnelling perk. You know nothing about me, so don't even try.
Next time, actually look at my points rather than assuming the worst stereotype of the month.
Maybe I'm not the one who needs to get over themselves. And yes, there are several counters to gen-rushing. NoED seems to be a popular pick apparently. Same with Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors, or just running a killer like Hillbilly. As a Pig main, I also find RBT's very effective at stalling out games, when survivors aren't luck enough to remove them on the first attempt.
Play more than one side, and all of a sudden things become a lot clearer too.
You literally stated that you play stealthily in your 3rd sentence, I didn't need to "assume" anything

Git gud. He is far from OP, and his madness was already gutted into uselessness outside of tracking by making Snapping Out of It save progress and reset to Madness I instead of II. If you're that worried about him, run Calm Spirit, it also prevents screams from Freddy, Clown, Trapper, and Infectious Fright

I've been to red ranks twice, and you know how I did it? STEALTH.
There are very few people in this game who can run a killer for 5 full gens and escape. Most of them also have builds specifically for that, and have every perk on every character, as well as play this game religiously.
How am I also meant to practice my running/looping when I only have one health state before dying and about two seconds after an unhook to do something with it, huh? How am I meant to improve on a skill when I don't have a chance to do so? I COULD run DS, but no wait. That's toxic now since I won't let the killer get away with his BS and I'm a baby for using a "crutch perk", so they'll just slug me and wait it out.
Maybe I also don't WANT to have to run a fecking marathon every game and want to play all elements of survivor. If I want to play a specific role or just one part of the game, then I'll go into customs with friends who are all going to run stupid meme builds. In regular games, I want to have a hand in everything.
There's also the issue of the fact that survivor wait times are WAY LONGER than killer ones at all levels at the moment, so I have to wait longer for less game time. Now why would that be considered frustrating, huh? I payed money for a game I cannot now play because someone playing the other role decided that "no, nobody should have fun in this GAME that they are playing FOR FUN."
So, why do YOU think people complain, huh? Why should I have to devote my ENTIRE EXPERIENCE to trying to deal with your crappy playstyle? Because you got beat by a group and got mad? Because I held you off at the start as 2 generators got popped and now you feel like you can't beat me normally?
I'm with @toxicnancymain and @KingFrost and their original comments. The exact same thing could be said to killers, but then the lecturers will come out how killers have to balance everything and all that and they shouldn't have to cater to the survivors and their playstyle..... So why the double standard? I'm going to throw this on you. Why should I adapt for YOU every game?
I hate these "just git gud" style threads because they don't help anyone. And people like you are only further distancing the divide between Killer and Survivor that I am working so hard on here to close. Go and play 10 games of survivor, get tunnelled and camped for 8 or more, then come back and tell us to "just loop better."
Are you REALLY trying to say that learning to loop for longer than 30 seconds instead of Urban Evading in the corner of the map? Get over yourself. There's no counter to slamming out generators in 5 minutes flat, but there IS a counter to tunneling: learn to loop and get a free escape with adrenawin

huntress: no the hitbox is too big. I can record the times I’ve seen a hatchet fly into the top left corner of the screen and my guy goes down. But my point was, they don’t need 3 iri heads when they don’t have to earn them. Oooh you paid for them. Psssh. Yeah but survivors can’t reload their ultra rare items somewhere? Yeah okay.
doctor: a good doctors not gonna let you drop the pallet at all in time to cut him off 🤣 The stun lasts too long. He’s got really good anti loop no matter the excuses you try come up with.
nurse: but it’s still possible to be An unavoidable hit. That’s my point. Is that there’s not a lot you can do sometimes.
BS hitboxes on hatchets are far less common then they're made out to be. I definitely agre that Iri Heads should not stack with extra hatchets(seriously, who tf thought that was a good idea?)
The reason Docs arent letting you drop the pallet is because you're too greedy with them. DROP. EARLY.
If you've played Nurse for more than 5 minutes you would know that the "unavoidable hits" are the result of tens, if not hundreds of hours of practice.

You have 2 hooks, and there's 4 of you. If you can't run a killer for at LEAST one gen, you're doing it wrong
-
If you can loop properly, tunneling benefits you. Since you're moaning about how it sucks, you probably suck at looping
-
@Huff said:
I've complained about tunneling but it's usually a combined act between my team mate and the killer. Just today I had a game against a Freddy where I got found near the beginning, only got to work a little on a gen before I had to start running. I ran and looped him a little, but then when I pallet stunned him, he landed on the side I was on, so I vaulted over, and then he literally just rubberbanded back. Then of course he downs me and hooks me. Then, as I get unhooked he's coming back my way, so I'm already having to get back on the run because he ignores my team mates and goes for me. I get to the opposite end of the map where he finally just spams snares around a pallet and downs me from that of course, for a 2nd time. So while I'm struggling, the Fred just patrols the area and ends up catching a Zarina that came after a little bit, and starts chasing her. A Jake also saw she started getting chased, so he too tried to come over to me and unhook me before I got sacrificed, but Freddy just came right back once again and Jake unhooked me right in front of him. Not sure he had much of a choice anyway, but he didn't bother taking a hit so once again Freddy just downs me a 3rd time, picks me right back up, and I'm out of a game where all I did is just run around and get chased down by the killer, not to mention a boring killer.
I don't just complain about tunneling just because I can't loop or anything because I can, but it's just so boring to just not be left alone for even a second, and get all the killer's attention, while the team mates just kind of get to run around and do whatever. I'm not saying that I have no impact of the game because of course I do, but with how boring it is I think it's kind of obvious why I'd complain in a situation like that. It's not unfair, just stupid to go against. Especially when I only get to get hooked twice or even only 1 time before dying because the killer just won't leave.
Not everybody who eventually gets downed is "bad at looping."
Were your teammates injured or healthy, and were they even visible to the Freddy?

Huntess: Look behind you, learn to juke

That's why the other 3 survivors are doing generators while you hopefully keep a chase for more than 5 seconds

Ds will buy you 60 seconds of being slugged. I'm a great looper and if a killer plays like a camping tunneling douche you won't be able to keep it up for 5 gens unless they're the worst killer ever
Learn to loop, like I said. If you're getting tunneled, you should be getting more than enough practice in chases to improve.

I am a Red Rank killer and Red Rank survivor.
And no, you don't leave them for 60 seconds, you slug and leave them for 60 seconds. They're not invincible, slugging is a great strategy. Killers slug all the time at 1 gen, so ######### is the issue of slugging a survivor when they're so phobic about getting a 5 second stun.
You can't slug somebody that jumps in a locker
