Any McMillan and Crotus one. Those are the ones where I can actually see my damn traps and gen auras without any problem.
Springwood and Haddonfield can go straight to Hell.
-
I really thought the number of generators that spawned/needed repairs was random. I guess I loaded a couple of matches with only 3 survivors without paying attention to it, and watched the number "4" up there. Then played some matches with the number "5", and thought it was bad luck for survivors.
I also thought the hatch would be there *always* because playing as killer on one of my first matches I saw some guy escape that way, and hadn't seen the hatch as survivor yet...
I spent the next 5 or so matches as survivor looking for the damn thing all game long.
-
I thought you died on hook only if you actually stopped struggling, and was pissed off every time I died thinking I wasn't struggling fast enough.
My DS4 hates me today

@Peasant And in the summer of 2017 (?), we either got triple or Quadruple BP event if I remember correctly. Imagine getting another one of those! I'd be glued to the game even where it's at right now.
I'd see it as being bribed into playing right now
-
Red rank killer, I've only played 1 match vs all red rank survivors since the updates. Rest of matches against purple and green, occasionally 1 red.
-
In all my time playing, there's only one match I can recall where all 5 players brought BPS.
And I brought insane TR Doctor to the match, so I almost hit the 224k mark. May have been around 210 - 215 or something like that.
-
I also remember playing Trapper at R20, just trapping both exit switches to oblivion, thinking it was the best strategy.
And it worked.

Everyone told me to follow survivors footsteps and like an idiot I was staring down at the ground trying to find them because I was expecting actual footsteps and not scratch marks.
Must have been funny to the survivors that played against me tho, a trapper staring at the ground when looking around for people like it was some cartoon.
Well at least you were making sure you didn't step on your own traps

i thought certain survivors run faster or run slower when injured. (but for some odd reason i do better with female survivors than males, idk. i do best with feng min tho) (also, for some reason on xbox, when im running and holding it, i do run slower? i've died one too many times because of this. it's even when im running in a straight line)
Yes I also thought Meg was faster because she was the runner chick.

That just makes me really want to google it!
Can someone give a very vague and non-graphic description of it to satisfy my curiosity?
Do not google it.
Do not think about pink elephants playing funny songs either.

I thought maps were generated randomly, and *that* played a big part into me wanting to play it, because I thought there was no way for the no-lifers to learn every single angle of every single map this time.
Oh, well...

Yes this is an idea I would get behind, I think it's a very good one. Makes the perk interesting and useful for certain playstyles.

It would be one thing if they weren't all safe as well, but you have to hope the survivor messes up or falls for a mindgame on a safe loop. By the time you clean them out the lack of pallets doesn't matter unless the survivors were afk.
They don't even have to play mind games, if they just drop it on the first loop, you still waste a lot of time clearing them. I agree, unless they're fooling around, gens get done while you kick pieces of wood.
-
That's one of the batshit craziest pieces of "art" out there. I don't think it belongs outside of the edgy artsy movie watchers.
-
It's insane, I already broke 5 just inside the main building in Crotus.
My spirit fury activated 6 times in the Plague map yesterday, meaning at least 18 pallets, counting the ones broken by the perk.
Remember when they nerfed bloodlust because they were 'nerfing' pallets? Here we are now.

It's been on my Billy since the beginning, makes you feel like a crazy ass lunatic. Now I can't play without it 😎

The better question is: Why do survivors spawn next to the ruin AND together while the killer spawns on the other side of the map resulting in 3 perk games all the time?
And the best question is, why do you still equip Hex: Ruin?

I think they could use the game as an opportunity to overcome their fear, facing a virtual clown in a non-consequence environment. But that's just me.
Anyway, the clown isn't really good and it's very rarely played, so... whatever.

I personally when I talk about "second objective" I mean a mandatory and objectives likes totems I call them "optional objective"
Am I calling them wrong? Cuz then I did all the time lol
English is not my native language, so I guess we should go to the dictionary to have a definitive answer.

Freddy shouldn’t be able to attack anyone outside of dream world. If they want to make him stronger, they need to remove the ability to do gens or heal until they’ve been woken up.
I think that would be the pinnacle of annoyance, like the unwanted child of Legion/Freddy.
Honestly, I don't see how will they fix him, if ever they're gonna try to.
-
A rework I would like to see:
Ditch the glove, give him a machete/axe.
Ditch the fedora, give him a hockey mask.
Ditch the sweater granma gifted him, give him a jumpsuit.
Go play Trapper instead.

The obly reason why they skipped the ptb is because they hadn't many changes to add, just this character and the DS. Do you really think they would add new changes without testing them by themselves or knowing people wouldn't like it?
Oh yes they tested it, and it worked as intended (outside of the nurse's blink/hits not getting stacks).
And exactly *that* is the problem, they completely intended this perk to work that way. And they knew they would get a truckload of complaints from killers.
It is what it is.

Yeah, something like that would work. I hate to see seal clubbers because that's just unfair all around. I've been trying to come up with a complete game re-haul but I've only got the framework down, I don't know what details would make the game fun and fair for all. I'm going to make a post about it though, so maybe other people can fill in the gaps. I'm trying to solve the problem of gen rushing and games being so short in general, so people can squeeze more fun and playtime out of each match without the possibility of being camp-farmed out within moments.
Yeah it all sounds as a new game, in an alt-universe. Good luck on your post, though, and hopefully it gets valuable input.

At this point, the community considers hooking a survivor more than once or hitting a survivor more than twice in a 5 minute span to be tunneling. Some survivors seem to think they have no responsibility for their own safety. It's like...why are you injured and on a gen when a teammate is right next to you? That's 100% on you guys.
@edgarpoop The answer to your question is they watch videos of people saying that stuff, and they take it by heart. And doing gens while injured ---> adrenaline.
-
@Coriander said:
Oh, I didn't realize that. I saw NOED kill someone at full health even though MoM was active. It says basic attacks, isn't it supposed to only work on M1 hits? Well, you're right, if he's making hits then he deserves the kill, but that's why perk choice is important because they can change the game. I don't see MoM as overly-powerful IF it's used by itself, but when combined with others it can be a real thorn, I agree.
I think they should have limited perks for that reason. You're only allowed one or two of them, or perhaps categories. Maybe a Super Perk that cuts your available slots in half, so you're stuck with just two. I don't know, I just think that something significant should change instead of perks on top of perks (although I do like to see what they give us every Chapter).
Perks can make the game fun, and for people that have been playing a long time they can really change things up, though I see it's not always for the better. My killer hasn't gotten to red ranks and never will, so it seems like a problem for people that know what they're doing. But newbies really do need some extra help, though I don't think the game should be balanced around that exactly. It's not easy to balance a game like this, and taking ranks into account it becomes even harder. I don't have an answer for those who dislike the new perk, but I'm sure it will change soon given all the problems it's causing. No one wants to lose players over this, so I hope killers can deal with it for a little while longer.
@Coriander I think I understand what you're saying, and that's why I've always advocated to balance the game around ranking brackets. Let the new guys playing survivor equip 6 perks, have 4 hook stages, easy skill checks, etc. Killers are butchering everyone in the R20 - R16 now, so they can even be toned down to only equip 2 perks, whatever. When they climb out of the newbie ranks, never let them inside again, so they won't grief the real new guys.
But don't design tools with new guys in mind, and place them in experienced guys' hands because it breaks the whole game for red rank killers.

yep. cleansing the first one opens the furthest gen from the other " curse ". and cleansing the second one opens the 2 other gens. pretty nice. i would like to see a discussion about it
@Heroiq Me too. But really, I think the devs have just too much going on right now to even think about it at this moment. It is what it is.
-
@FSB75 Yeah with the introduction of the 2.4 patch, things got better in most maps, for some people. Then it went all down the drain with the recent patch downgrading graphics, at least for console. Ormond resort is unplayable at this stage.

Or you can play CoD, Battlefield, R6, you know?

@Condorloco_26 nice idea. but reducing the gens to 2 instead of 3 would be a bit more balanced. because if a killer just AFK'd on that " curse ". he would be able to hold all the survivors as a hostage. which can be abused. even if it was able to be cleansed by more than one guy. just a leatherface facecamping it can also hold it as a hostage
@Heroiq Good point. That's why there will be 2 possible cleansing spots for the curse, making it impossible for the killer to camp it. I still think it should lock all 3 gens, but here's a starting point for the whole idea.
-
@Coriander said:
It would be more like 10 seconds, since that's about how long it takes to catch someone who just dropped away. And we already have Ruin slowing down our skillchecks. I know it's not quite the same, and there is a problem with how fast the game goes sometimes, but that's kind of why the game is uncertain. You don't know what's going to happen when you load in, which makes it exciting in a way.
Maybe Billy did deserve those kills, but maybe they deserved to escape too. I still don't know why Kate didn't die but she should have in that clip. I like the concept of MoM that activates only when you've been hounded by a killer and also the great drawback it comes with (if you aren't a good runner like me, you rely on avoiding the killer's gaze).
It seems pretty balanced to me, since it let me survive only a few moments more when going for Ash's Adept achievement. I think it helps exceptional players the best, but with the tactics most killers use perks are almost meaningless, making BT and Kindred the top-2 in my opinion. I don't even heal anymore, Legion/Plague why bother? Maybe my experience isn't the same, and it's actually a problem I don't realize, but that clip didn't prove it's broken to me (other than the chainsaw bug) in which case an extreme circumstance caused it to make an amazing play in the basement that otherwise wouldn't have been possible. Dead Hard would have had the same results, legitimately. I'm sure there are plenty of times people took a hit and went down moments later anyway. Yeesh, staring at this wall of text I apologize I felt the need to explain my position. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll change it after all this outcry, like everything else. I really don't see it staying as-is for long.
@Coriander It can extend a chase from 10 seconds all the way up to 60 seconds, depending on the survivor skill, map, place in the map it's activated, amount of pallets already used up to that point, etc.
The point I'm trying to get across is, the killer is penalized for doing his simple job, and that is just terrible design from my POV. If a killer is penalized for screwing up, let's say as an example, whiffing 4 times, bumping into stuff with a chainsaw, things like that, I would say "ok, you got it coming", but it punishes a killer for HITTING people, come on.
The chainsaw hit is not bugged, BTW, MoM will sponge ANY attack that would put a surv in dying state, coming from an injured state. That means, if the killer has NOED and the surv with active MoM stays injured, MoM will sponge the hit, too. Myers EWIII gets also kicked in the nuts, by this logic. It's plain ridiculous.

i had this idea in a while now. it can be a great secondary objective.
in every map. there should be a locked generator. and to be able to unlock and repair it. you need to do an action (for example searching the whole map for a curse by the entity or something to cleanse. would take around 10 seconds. the longer the match goes. the longer it would require to cleanse. up to 60 seconds. and interrupting the action would restart it from the start. same as totems. and the killer gets a notification once a survivor starts working on it.). this would waste a bit of time. and if survivors ignored it. they would face a big problem at the end game. 2 gens. 1 gen locked.
@Heroiq Sounds really interesting.
I would add, it should lock 3 gens, because if it only locks 1, you could bypass it always anyway.
Once the "curse" is cleansed, all 3 locked gens are now unlocked.
Perhaps resetting cleanse progress is OP, maybe it can accept input from several survivors, but starts on 30 seconds and increases all the way to 60 secs as the match progresses.
Basically it would be an extra mandatory gen, when it's done with toolboxes, prove thyself and at least 2 survs.

You all sound just as bad as the people complaining about NOED

@Warlock_2020 said:
They should do nothing. That or they could tie it to exhaustion so it and DH can't be used back to back.
Frankly, I think it is a lot of crying over nothing. I still find DH to be a much stronger perk as it is useable multiple times, avoids all damage, and has no drawbacks unlike MoM where it only avoids 1 M1 attack after getting hit 3 times, and requires you be injured to work.
A lot of tears over nothing.
And yes, I've faced several SEF squads running it, DH, DS, and adrenaline. 3-4k each time as Trapper, Shape and Hag.
@Warlock_2020 Yeah I faced *all* those yesterday too. In *all* of my matches.
4x Adr, DH, BT, MoM. Dwights, Claudettes and Neas too, not only Ashes. 4 matches straight. Some of them carrying instaheals.
Good thing I have hundreds of moris across all my killers, because I never used them outside of daily rituals. I got rained with insults, and many of those guys DC'ed.
BS fights BS, and no one is happy at the end.
-
This perk is the definition of BS
@Coriander The thing is, the Billy has already done his job multiple times, chasing-hitting people. As a reward for playing the game properly, he gets his nuts kicked multiple times too. In f***g haddonfield of all places.
The map is outside of the question, really. The main issue is, how would you feel about a killer perk that punished survivors for hitting skill checks? Like, every 4th skill check you hit, you get penalized with 30/35/40 seconds of your progress? Sounds cool, right?
-
You can play Clown.
That way you'll be in costume.
No, seriously, I agree with your idea but it must be a mandatory objective and not only a secondary one. Totems are already secondary objectives and 90% of survivors just ignore them.

If people can't realize how broken just having a passive insta heal is, then they're not very good. Not to mention the downside is completely avoidable by 99%ing yourself.
@Sairek Wait, what the hell happened there? Why did MoM activate endurance for Kate?? Why did it sponge a chainsaw hit?? did I miss something?
Edit: Nvm. Now I get it. It will sponge ANY hit putting the survivor in the dying state, regardless. Chainsaw hits won't count (for now) towards building up the perk.
Yes, totally fine.
-
@Carpemortum I think that if they added a simple option in which we can pick the color of the auras, it would solve 95% of our colorblind woes.
I gave the other perks' and events examples as proof that they have already coded it into the game, no extra work than just giving us the option for it.
-
@Carpemortum Playing as colorblind trapper it's really difficult to even find the damn traps to go pick them up. I know, it's pathethic. If you happen to stumble upon one, then you pick it up, otherwise it's painful.
Yellow, pink or blue auras don't represent any trouble, I'm advocating for turning all the red auras to *any of those* colors.
And no, obviously a decent colorblind person would never ask for easier Claudette's detection, we all understand that camo and stealth is part of the game.
The problem is mainly with red auras and red skill checks.
-
@fluffybunny 👍️
-
@fluffybunny It will be a matter of judgement, I think. Sandbagging *could* be considered griefing, yes. But I think you will have to prove your point to whoever checks those reports.
If you have it all on video, you can at least try.
-
@Carpemortum I talked about skill checks because that's the OP's concern.
But here's a quick recap of everything wrong with not having colorblind support:
Gen, hook, and totem auras
Trapper's traps, blood trails and scratchmarks
Teammates in dying state, hooked teammate auras
OoO
None of these would represent *any* advantage if they were a different color.
They even change gen and hook aura colors during events, so, that's the whole point.
They've already shown they have different colors for auras: see kindred, alert, aftercare, bond, empathy.
They just don't prioritize making these QOL changes.
-
Do you think he may have been working with the killer? If you got enough proof of that in a video, you can report him for griefing.
Otherwise, it may just have been a terrible teammate.

-
Join this thread and perhaps the devs will take notice at some point:
I always post about the hardships color blindness affected killers endure.@MysticalMagic92 For a colorblind person, it's extremely difficult to see the point where you must hit the skill check. Doctor's madness + Ruin means impossible skill checks for colorblind people.
