... to play tag with 4 strangers over the internet
... to be a permanently uncloaked, windstorm-less, Wraith
... to make survivors feel sorry and have pity
-
@Carpemortum Quick read through those threads, and outside of the OP, no one agreed with head on being DS 2.0
If you want to waste some time, do a quick search through all the MoM threads, only to realize that most killers agreed on it being an OP perk, and bullshit on top of it.
But anyway, it's not my intention to convince anyone about anything, and I even wasn't talking about head on.
Just expressing my opinion, which is that Legion's power is completely useless.
Besides, Legion originally brought 2 undesirable additions to the game that should be reverted: coulrophobia and nurse's calling don't work on "mending" AND BT now features the Deep wound status. Which is buffed, again.
-
@Carpemortum No one said Head on would be DS 2.0
Everyone (every red rank killer, at least) said MoM would be DS 2.0 the day the perk was "leaked"
-
At this point I already believe that MoM's real objective was to get the good killers nerfed.
MoM would force killers to play Billy a lot more than usual.
Casuals would then complain a lot about Billy.
Billy gets nerfed.
RIP DBD
-
Yeah, you should all wait for the changes to be part of the game before jumping to conclusions.
Just like MoM. People jumped to conclusions.
And they were 100% right about it.

"The only bannable bodyblocking is the one forcing people to DC."
Any killer can easily argue this by simply stating "They BM'd me, so I was just gonna make them sit for X minutes then kill them!"
Boom. No ban because no one can prove otherwise.
That's what you have the ability to put your matches on video. If someone is on the hook or bleeding out, no bodyblocking is holding the game hostage.
If no one is on the hook or bleeding out, and no immediate action is taken by the killer blocking the survivor, it IS holding the game hostage.
The BM ---> Bodyblocking argument would have no weight under any circumstance, outside of people being in the hook, or bleeding out.
-
That's the problem of creating bad killers. Now the only good ones look OP to the new players.
-
Get used to hitting the BT recipient twice. Or 3x, with MoM. Or 4x, with MoM and DS.
LMAO
Or 5x, with MoM, DS, Adr.
Or 5x + 1 whiff, with DH, MoM, DS, Adr
-
Even bodyblocking in the basement is legit, when the killer intends to hit/down people after someone dies in the hook, bleeds out, etc.
The only bannable bodyblocking is the one forcing people to DC. And it only happens when a survivor blocks another survivor in a corner, or a killer blocks a survivor without hitting him.
Everything else is game.
-
Nerf SWF first and we'll talk later.
-
It's already a very strong perk.
-
Failed skill checks already give you both audio and visual cues which you can pinpoint, you don't need a perk for that.

U aswell? Lol, I swear everyone who experienced that first times was questioning his mental state lol
I remember weeks/months ago, I was going crazy
@HavelmomDaS1 yes indeed. I thought I was going insane and needed a break.
But I equipped whispers and I can tell you for sure now, I'm not crazy. There are ghosts breathing out there.

I don't even care if the perk is OP, UP or whatever.
MoM promotes bad game design and should be removed in its current state because of that. That's why DS got a rework and not just a nerf. It would have been easy to make old DS "balanced" by just tweaking numbers around -- but that still wouldn't fix the most glaring problem the perk had.
@Sairek This.
Bad design, plain and simple. Punishing a player for what he MUST do in a normal game.
I've already said it before, it's akin to a perk punishing survivors with 30/45/60 secs of progress when they hit their 4th skill check in a game. Unhooking a 4th teammate will give YOU the exposed state, Stunning a killer with a 4th pallet will give YOU the broken status.
Ridiculous.

You lose all credibility when you start insulting people, just saying...
"If you get 4 kills with any killer on the new ranking, you wont get 4 iredescents"
That's not true at all, you just need to keep them alive and not camp, that's all you need...
As if he had any to begin with.
I've been consistently getting survivors at Ranks 12 - 15 (and even some 17 here and there) in my red rank lobbies.
I just 4 manned Haddonfield with Leatherface, all 12 hooks. Does that mean anything?

Enduring + Spirit fury + Brutal strength + NOED. Break every pallet in the map and kick every gen.
Good luck with MoM

You legitimately don't see the issue with having to hit a survivor an extra time accompanied with a free sprint burst and killer slowdown/weapon wipe?
Solid.
That's because most likely, they don't play killer at all. Not against good survivors, at least.
-
@se05239 Well the current disparity in ranks in my lobbies just shows there's already a lack of killers in general. I'm consistently getting R13 - R15 survivors in a red rank lobby after just a couple of seconds waiting.
That wouldn't be happening if there were enough people playing killer at the moment.
-
@se05239 How are killers supposed to play the game properly? Hopefuly they introduce some fixes real soon.
-
The day Billy gets nerfed is the day DBD dies.
-
@fluffybunny Yes Ormond is completely busted. I just don't DC because I'm not a chump, but I really don't see anything there playing as killer.
I kinda know where do gens and hooks can possibly spawn but most of the time I'm just walking aimlessly.
And the recent graphics downgrade screwed the corn maps too, not only for colorblind people. Springwood is incredibly dark all the time, and even worse in the basement of the house of pain there (and Haddonfield too).
I really hope they do something soon to fix this.
-
Audio is busted.
I get fake breathing all the time, indoor gens completely muffled by walls, fake footsteps in corn and grass, chase music blasting won't let you hear anything when being blinded, etc etc

Lol, before MoM gets nerfed survivors will cry so much about Billy that he gets nerfed first. If that happens DbD is officially dead for me. I mean, it's already nearly dead for me, can only play 2 killers without getting "MoM-rolled" and playing solo survivor isn't that much fun after a while
I think you're not off the mark by much, and that's unfortunate.
-
There's definitely a lot of room for improvement in all those areas, some of those requests have been in the wishlist for a very long time now.
I just hope something gets done in the near future.
-
You forgot to mention, in a 5 minute span.
-
Yup, been there too.
If you actually manage to make people get caught in your traps, especially when they go for another unhook, prepare to depip.
No chaser points whatsoever. Your BP total will suffer too.
Great, for a killer that already needs love.
-
@Bbbrian2013 I would agree with you if both teams were producing results at the same rate. Take a look into the 'bug reports' section of the forum, and tell me if they're fixing the game at the same rate new bugs are introduced to the game.
I don't know for sure, but I would infer more personnel and resources are being allocated at their cosmetic department, just by reading and experiencing all those bugs.
And that's a management issue, nothing else.
-
It's not about being DiFfErEnT tEaMs, it's about management and direction.
What kind of decisions are being made? prioritizing cosmetics over fixing game breaking bugs means allocating personnel and resources into making a pretty game, but one that crashes a couple of times daily, where you have year-old bugs and a truckload of issues.

Except that would mean nero had nothing to do with the burning of Rome.
As cosmetics and game balancing devs are different groups.
Nero being akin to a company's direction department, management, or whoever makes decisions.
-
Releasing cosmetics right now would be akin to Nero playing the fiddle while Rome was burning.
Analogy only there for dramatic effect, but that's the idea.

I saw this in settings of apex legend and made me wonder why more games aren't supportive of this. Its also small features that open up a true experience for variety of players. Game settings and accessibility is very important and fact no games have that wide variety of small options. Makes me sad cause not everyone sees, hears or can play the same way.
Yeah, and in DbD's case it's even absurd, given that events and different perks show other aura colors as well, but let's see what happens next...
-
Colorblind support please!
At least, give the player the chance to change aura colors.
At the very least, a series of screenshots showing auras, bloodtrails, scratchmarks, red stain, etc so players can tweak their screen settings to be able to see them.
-
And then you have the ghosts breathing behind you when no one's there...
-
Yes, if I'm performing a mori on them.

I asked my friend about this idea and he liked it but we came to the conclusion it should be 2 hits instead of 3. I'm still for it though because it's 2 body block/protection hits.
2 protection / bodyblock hits = sponge 1 hit regardless of health state + exhaustion
Or
3 protection / bodyblock hits = sponge 1 injured to dying hit + exhaustion
Plus: The perk can be used multiple times in a trial, both options
Lose the useless aura reading in both options.
How about that? Sorry if I'm repeating or not giving credit to whoever may said it before

It all comes down to your setup, stereo headphones are a must but what you will hear will also depend on how good the ones you have are, most streamers probably have a seperate sound card which will also make a difference.
I have a good pair of stereo/surround headphones, I play in stereo as I personally hear more clearly in this game than when in surround mode.
I respectfully disagree. We're talking about being able to hear stuff just weeks ago, and that a couple of patches have ruined sound for many killers.
-
Sound's busted, again.
I used to hunt with sound when blinded at pallets. Now I hear nothing.
There's breathing when no one is around, too, and extra ghost footsteps in corn.
-
Huntress, Bubba, Hag for 1 - 3

Thought about it, then figured "why not make something genuinely lighthearted and nice and let people share funny stories"
Not everything needs to be snark and salt.
That's good.

I once hosted a match as Myers where one Jake was carrying a key, someone else a map, 2 others with toolboxes. I already sniffed something was up.
After the initial chase-hit-hooks, I managed to kill one of them and four gens got quickly done.
Suddenly I spotted all 3 remaining survivors buttdancing around a spot on the map. As I approached them I noticed it was the hatch, which they hadn't opened yet. I understood they were going for the achievement and I got it "ruined" for them.
So, I started moonwalking around it too, joining the dance. It looked like they were enjoying it, since they were all nodding and looking at me in admiration.
That's how I remember it anyway.
Then they used the key and escaped.

I remember just one when 4 players brought BPS and killer camped every single one of us 😂
Since that day I just don't put BPS no matter who will ask.
That deserves a small violin sad tune, actually.

It's not a bad idea, but unfortunately people would only use it for the sake of being toxic. Even if being toxic isn't the survivor's intention, I can assure you that that's how most killers would perceive it.
I can guarantee you that 99% killers would thank the devs if they changed MoM into this, a bodyblocking perk, instead of what it is right now.
The other 1% still plays at R20.
-
No, it is not. Slugged people will die eventually, so no holding anyone hostage there.
-
I used the purple fog thickener as killer thinking it would actually help me sneak on survivors. Playing Trapper.
-
I really think the only killers sitting at R1 right now are those who got there after the reset/just before the update. It was like what, 4 or 5 days later?
-
@Peasant Ormond is the absolute worst right now, I can't see anything. Gens, hooks, nothing, zilch, nada when playing killer there.
But I guess I haven't played 2000 matches on it yet, to hate it as furiously as Springwood or Haddonfield.
