I was lagging because I was having desync issues and at points it led to me getting hits through pallet stuns. He's clipping those moments and using them as "proof" that I was lag switching to abuse lag when in reality I just had bad ping. His teammate was also on 800 ping and lag switches can't make OTHER peoples' ping higher. I'm just a little nervous that he's going to take those clips of me lagging and since he is friends with some members of the dev team it will result in a ban that I can't do anything about simply due to him being popular
As much as it's frustrating to vs, high ping is not a bannable offense. Someone like them and their dev friend should know that already.

I beat a streamer a couple times last night and he was coping, claiming I lag switched, cheated, etc. He is friends with one of the more popular dbd streamers and claims that the evidence was sent to him and said streamer will contact his friend who happens to be on the BHVR dev team in order to get me banned. Do I have anything to worry about if I genuinely did no wrong doing other than having some desync issues or am I going to get banned simply because someone really well known in the dbd community says I'm cheating?
Well hows he gonna prove it? By recording you playong completely legitimately?

I started thinking about it after I noticed something: almost every killer that inflicts a unique effect on survivors has it displayed in the Status HUD as a state. For example, when facing Trapper, being caught in a trap shows up as an icon on the survivor portrait. Other killers with similar features include Artist, Doctor, Trickster, Twins, Knight, and more.
So why doesn't Deathslinger have the same?
Honestly I wish every character would display a HUD element for that survivor interacting with their power. Like clown's bottles, huntress hits with hatchets, nurse using 1-3 blinks in the chase and getting a hit, wraith uncloak hits etc...
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
You can already tell, actually.
When you hear a shot, and the chase effect disappears from the HUD, that means someone got harpooned.
Not just that, but a different shot audio plays. It sounds like someone just had a spear pierce their body, which is exactly what happened
-
@Dadeordye said:
The feature works great.
The only issue I have is that if I go to the surv queue and then click "Leave" to go back to the killer lobby EVERYTIME it kicks me out of the killer queue/I'm not Ready/queueing anymore.
BUT BHVR didn't account that people who would only want to play survivor before would now think "hey, let's play some killer matches too". I had an average time between 10 to 15 minutes in the last 2v8 and now it's 25 to 30.You just need to reready and it'll unpause your queue time. In short, your placement is held, it just doesn't progress until you ready up again.

Idk why they're downvoting this like its not factual information. Even the main game is survivor sided, 2v8 is even worse for killers

I think adding dexter morgan as the bay harbor butcher and brian as ice truck killer would be nice and they have much mori options and they can add doakes, rita and debra as survivors i mean it has so much potentials i mean would appreciate if dbd mods care about the community.
Dexter would be better as a survivor. He has no powers, just an ordinary human. His perks could be relative to injures though since he is a blood expert.

Hello ya'll. I'm here to talk about one of most neglected killer, the Nurse. She hasn't truly received much love since her "special attacks" on blinks nerf.
Basekit:
→ Increase initial blink range from 20m to 32m
→ Adjust time to perform Blink from 1.5s to 1.2s
→ Blink speed increased from 13m/s to 19m/s
→ Time to charge next blink increased from 1.1s to 1.5s to better target the wanted area.
→ fatigue duration decreased from 1.5s to 1.2s, 2s to 1.5s
Add ons:
Heavy panting - now increases lunge by 30 % on first blink.
"Bad man's" Last breath - increases undetectable from 25s to 35s, has 60s cooldown
Cambell's Last Breath - will now be tied to active ability button
Jenner's Last Breath - increase tokens gained to 2
Kavanagh's Last Breath - increase range to 16m
Matchbox - increase movement speed to 4.6
Torn bookmark - removes recharge penalty and replace with extended fatigue
You Cannot be serious. Nurse is one of the 6 or 7 killers in the game that needs a NERF!!! Not a buff 😂.

I don't mind BM or banter - I've made a post about this in the past but I've been called slurs, told to off myself or in some cases had threats made against me or someone threatened to kill my dog by going through my post history. Quite certain none of those people are banned.
I'm all for a little bm - it doesn't bother me. I'm more so talking about when someone spreads hate in chat or makes it clear to harass or threaten someone they should immediately lose chat privilege. There's a few content creators atm that spread hate and I remember there has been a few times where BHVR has stepped up and had to go after them but they rarely choose to make an example out of bad actors.
Ultimately though I agree with one thing. If you have anon mode you shouldn't be able to see other names. Yes this has drawbacks for the user but I still feel like you should be able to engage with others to some degree. The alternative is if you choose to reveal someone's name then you reveal your name to them as well with a warning that this will happen. I also feel by default users should be able to hide anon mode chat if they are not in anon mode. I'm all for freedom of choice here.
I think PC is the only platform with anon mode. If anything console needs it much more than we do because they are easily raided with false reports compared to PC.
Moderation is a massive problem in DBD. Though personally, bad mouthing with less of a chance to get in trouble cus no one knows who you are is not cool. Thats gotta go. I shouldn't need to run Anon myself to avoid getting hated on cus of in game occurances, I want to connect with people converse respectfully and equally. Anonymous defeats that principle.

You are aware you can report anonymous players. If people would do that instead of complaining that a few anon players are toxic then you might see less toxicity in end game chat.
Bming isn't banable, its just annoying and id wanna see it unless whoever is saying it is visible to me. Its only fair.
-
@Dustin said:
I feel that anonymous mode should just be on for everyone by default and you have to opt out. However as an anonymous mode user I agree to some degree - I have no interest in engaging with most players I meet so I keep anon mode on. There's a lot of insane people that are never held accountable by BHVR on this platform and it's not worth the trouble. Issue is I'm pretty sure cheaters for example don't get affected by anonymous mode or can turn it off on their end so if you're dealing with someone like that it don't even matter.
I don't know if I'd agree with chat getting disabled for anon mode users even if I don't use it. Mostly because you can still report anon mode users (I know it rarely matters) and there's still friendly conversation that can be had.
Realistically BHVR needs to overhaul a lot of disciplinary systems creating a system for both chat privilege's and queue privilege's. If chat had a separate punishment system from actually playing BHVR could actually be more heavy handed with punishment for bad behavior in chat. If you abuse chat you don't need it to play so no one could really argue if you somehow get banned from chat that you didn't deserve it since it doesn't affect game.
Also all of you claiming we have the tools to deal with bad behavior. It's not mine or anyone else's job to babysit unstable manchildren who feel they need the last word and will open up your profiles to harass you. BHVR should actually do more by overhauling their report system but instead just distract you by signal boosting content creators who distract you from the issues instead of actually addressing their communities ######### behavior. I'm tired of everyone going after players who want this game to be better for everyone. We need to pressure BHVR to actually improve their system to properly protect players and punish bad actors.
Thats exactly why i made this post. Not all the time anon player behavior is directly against BHVR's beliefs, im just not interested in getting bmed or smth like that over a match. If you wanna do that, you can do it to my face (public profile, name visible,) not behind anon mode

No, I like to show my hours and be open to conversation from friendly individuals. I'm not gonna do that because some people are indecent. Anonymous players should not be able to use their status as a cowl to see other people without them knowing. Thus, they just shouldn't be allowed to perform those social actions while their name and profile is hidden as well, its just not fair.

Do they? Tbh I've never noticed / heard about, will need to test it out myself cause I believe stun does nothing to BL or it's either a bug. I don't really see how it's unfair as getting stun especially on unsafe loop is very very hard and once you do it's not really feel rewarded because you don't really make a rotation if killer has BL 2/3
If you're getting stunned on an unsafe loop, you just got outplayed tbh, and thats the punishment. When you get stunned on a longer loop, you need BL to catch up afterwards. If a stun lasts 2 seconds, you're getting at least 8 meters if distance from the pallet, assuming they don't waste time breaking it and just go around. If you're not making anything, either thats just bad rng, ir a skill issue
-
@Mag1cian said:
- First thing about Bloodlust and it was discussed since long time ago, make killer lose bloodlust if they got stunned by a pallet / whiff M1. Considering RNG on most maps has been nerfed (and even more maps gonna get nerfed according to devs), a lot of loops become more unsafe, 50/50 so I think it's completely fair in those rare occassions.
Sometimes you get amazing stun on pretty unsafe loop and instead of get something out of it killer with BL 2-3 will catch up almost instantly like nothing really happened, same with pallet / window vault fakes you do a great play make them miss but if they have BL you get nothing. - About addons, make it so if you haven't used a single charge of your item addons are preserved, with current bloodweb it feels like devs lowered the chance for addons like syringe and styptic and some others so spending like 1-2mil bp's with auto feature will get you like 2-3 syringes or styptics if you're lucky (sometimes it's none). So if you eventually get those rare addons and go into a match without even using them or without using a single charge of your medkit losing addons just feels bad.
Forgot to mention with new Fog Vials there's tons of new useless stuff in bloodweb so getting something decent becomes even harder, maps and keys with the recent update also become more boring and useless.
Also it'd be better if White Ward saved both item and addons, it pretty rare offering but nobody's really using it because of how pointless this is.
Killers already lose a tier of blood lust when they are stunned, removing it fully is unfair, seeing as they're already being slown down by the stun.
Your Add On change is fine with me. Ace In The Hole should partially be basekit anyway

Well you have confirmation from two other PSN users, specifically stating that its not happening anymore. Idk what to tell you. Only bugs I'm still seeing (which aren't even mahor) is sometimes you can just never find a match (easily fixable by going to menu and reentering lobby,) and an audio bug where killer lobby music plays in the survivor lobby during play while you wait.

I say don't open, dead inside is by far hardest achiement in the game. I have tried last few weeks to get it. But the map is super mega rare. I brought map offering there 50 times and only once I actually got the map... 2 times I got the map without offering. So out of almost 100 games 3 times I have played there and every time the killer just camped the gen and played as toxic as possible. Their only goal when this map is to stop you from getting the achiement.
This achiement might take years and the map is also mega killer sided. Makes me log out of the game now. That's better than going to killer as I would play definetely toxic when frustated.
RPD achiement is peace of cake compared to this one took me few days to get it. Recently has escaped from there multiple times as well. Even with map offering nerfs it's very attainable just need bit of work unlike walking dead achiement which is purely luck.

I do agree. I think your idea is a good one! I personally prefer the more accessible option, but making players work for them is great, as long as it doesn't get too grindy, which is the main issue to begin with…
I think if you do the generic achievements linked to each dlc (not the map based ones,) you should be allowed to buy the perks that come with that chapter. They could make more achievements if they really wanted to, but giving more ways to unlock perks is always welcome, especially when it doesn't really impact marketing

These are true, yes, but having such an improvement to DBD's extremely lengthy grind would greatly improve newer players incentive to play the game more and get whichever perks they want.
If a player is incentivized to play more, wouldn't it also be rational to think that they could end up having more investment into the game in general (either in characters, or skins, or getting others to start playing as well)
As things are right now, it takes 35 Hours of straight gameplay to grind enough shards for 1 character…
They need to rework how the shrine works. I think its fine to get licensed perks if you dedicate and work for the perks. Maybe you can do special challenges and in game achievements linked to a chapter's release, then once you complete that you can purchase perks from that chapter with shards.
-
@ManOMaker said:
No, this is not a feedback or suggestion…
Everyone knows how god awful the shrine is, where it's practically impossible to get the perks you want without waiting millennia just for the chance of it being in the shrine.
I have theorized that it would be so awesome if the shrine just had every perk in it always so that newer/players who can't pay are able to get the builds they want at any point, but I have had the idea shot down in the past.
So like why not? I literally see no downsides to it…
It'd greatly reduce the chances of someone buying a licensed survivor

When I am playing killer it is too easy to find players.
I took a few months off from this game and just came back to it this week, I am beyond frustrated with the gameplay as a survivor.. Every killer sees your aura the entire game. There is no hiding, no stealth and no fun to this game anymore. The survivors had distortion to help combat the aura perks and the devs destroyed the only perk that helped anyone survive longer.
Not only did they destroy the one perk to help players combat the mass amount of aura perks, they continue to add more and more aura reading perks. The survivor perks continue to get nerfed as well.
I get the devs want to make it harder to escape but there're other ways to do that, increase the number of gens to get done, add more mechanics, etc.
It is a lack of creativity.
I am surviving maybe 10% of the games I play solo, its ridiculous.

How about the game developers actually make things even and not just killer sided. The killers have an infinite amount of weapons they can pull and use and abilities that are unlimited just think about it the game is just slowly dying due to the ridiculous amount of nerfs they do to the survivors which is why the developers implemented bots to join these killers constantly get things and never get an actual nerf instead they buff them eventually it’s gonna be a single player game with only bots and I’m saying this as a killer main player but I see how bad the developers just don’t make anything good for the survival side of it.

Iridescent Vile Book Of Darkness (Visceral Add On) needs a nerf/rework. The effect it gives to Flight Of The Damned has no counterplay whatsoever, AND you get that ability back every 30 seconds or so. His basekit power is balanced though, a healthy A tier killer.

Considering that the recovery speed from a hit with this perk has been reduced from 40% to 32%, and that there's no longer a way to avoid losing 2 badges when damaging the Obsession, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make it so you can gain 2 badges when hitting a Survivor other than the Obsession so you can charge the perk more easily, since many times you're only halfway through your badges when you encounter the Obsession and can't leave it unharmed by repairing generators.
At that point they might as well give it 4 tokens with 8% for each one. Thats too much of a buff for little effort

Based on the current licenses that we have (and maybe other licenses like they did with Geralt), what licensed characters would you like to see come into the game as legendary skins?
For me they would be
Shanoa and Simon Belmont for Trevor Belmont. (I have the cosplays but would kill for legendaries)
Moira Burton, Sherry Birkin, and Ashley Graham for Rebecca Chambers.
Carmilla for Dracula.
Helena Harper, Rachel Foley, Alyssa Ashcroft for Ada Wong.
Baldurs gate 3 characters for Aestri, like Shadowheart and Karlach (though i have a feeling that even though Baldurs gate 3 is technically dungeons n dragons, its still a seperate enough license that it wouldn't be allowed to overlap)
Which legendaries would you like to see added to the game?
Lee Everett from TWD: Telltale Games series. Maybe even a Clementine skin, seeing as she was the main character of the game, though she'd have to be reimagined as an adult.

When I'm playing survivor I can only be unhooked twice a match - right now I can literally use it every time I'm unhooked. Are you suggesting 2 charges are unbalanced?
So far as chase goes, unless you're constantly dropping chase and waiting a minute for a survivor's cooldown to cycle it's not going to be that frequent either.
Fog vials are not get out of jail free cards. Maybe it's because I've played this game since before killers had every aura reading perk under the sun handed to them but it's really not that hard to chase survivors down or figure out where they went. Fog vials helped them escape sometimes sure - that's the point. However the number of times I've gotten a down despite the use of a fog vial greatly outnumbers the times someone managed to slip away using one. If they guarantee they get away then that would be unbalanced - but they simply don't.
So you didn't read the first message I made. Noted.
The problem is you can keep making killers lose you in chase, and they often don't find you until your cooldown is already halved. Any good survivor is gonna last long enough to use the item again, wasting even more time.
This is incorrect. The item is literally a manually activated Lucky Break, plus Distortion and Iron Will, as well as slightly impaired vision (used to be far stronger, which it was fine that way.) The item shouldn't have been averaging 5-6 uses per survivor. Thats way too much for the effect you get and it should be made to 4 charges tops. The effect nerfs should be reverted, since the item does almost nothing now other than the temporary triple perk effect it has now, your vision is barely impaired.

It never really had infinite charges - the cooldown placed a limit on how much you could use it in a trial.
... I've had this argument before. The game says it has infinite charges. Idc abt the fact that match lengths are finite, you should not be able to use the vial each time you're chased or unhooked. Thats super unbalanced and unfun to vs.

Its effects were fine. The infinite charges was a problem tho, but thats been overnerfed to the point where Fog Vials are useless.

Every match, survivors are using this perk, if not just two, then all four survivors are using this perk. Why does this perk need to be unlimited? Why isn't there a cooldown? Why can't survivors be punished for not knowing where the pallets are? It's very easy for a survivor with this perk to stay in a chase for a long time, even if they're completely inexperienced. Pallets and windows are the only things that can stop the killer in this game, so why on earth can the survivor see them infinitely all the time? Why can't I see the survivors infinitely all the time?
I'm tired, every match I have to deal with this
The perk is beginner friendly, its not even that good tbh. If anything AND theres a meme abt it, it hurts other survivors when someone runs it, because that player with it is just gonna run to every pallet and waste it, just because they know its nearby and usable.
