That's true. Kiss him after a good night's sleep maybe. Or just swap him and Dwight.

When I first started playing killer I faced a guy who was rank 2, playing with some rank 18s. I was like a rank 17 or 18 killer or so, and being super inexperienced I got looped for the entire match and he escaped. Messaged me on PS4 calling me trash, everything in the book. Typical player. Fast forward around a year, to the release of Spirit. I get in a game as Hag, 4k pretty easily, get a message from this same guy complaining about BS matchmaking cause I was rank 1 and he was rank 13 with 3 other rank 1s. Just the sheer hypocrisy of it was baffling. I've remembered his username now and I've encountered him a few more times, though I have him blocked now cause I don't feel like dealing with the childishness of it.

I’m fine with being proven wrong. But what my postman is aiming to accomplish is eliminating moonwalking. But you’ve provided next to nothing that can help the idea besides,”he needs a rework.” And “it doesn’t work.” As well as “irrelevant”.
Sorry you feel that way. Didn’t mean to frustrate you.
If you're looking for a means of changing just moonwalking without addressing the core problems with Legions power, maybe instead of not bleeding out during a chase, you don't bleed out in the killers terror radius unless he actively hits you more with FF. Opens up some potential perk synergies with terror radius perks without having the built in moonwalk strategy.

And your claim doesn’t negate my experience. You see how terrible your line of reasoning is? Why it’s getting on my nerves? There’s no fact in what you said, is it plausible? Yes. But by my experience (and yes there’s been quite a few reds on Xbox) it’s possible and doesn’t feel too tasking for me.
If a killer is getting looped, it’s because they’re just following in a circle and expecting to catch the survivor without trying to trick them into making a mistake. You control the chase. You move away, the survivor moves away, find someone else, wait for your opening and down them.
Yes looping is a flaw in the game that was accidental or whatever I’ve heard it a thousand times on a thousand different complaint posts, but it’s what we have to deal with and there are ways to deal with it.
You absolutely refuse to consider that your idea doesn't work so I'm done arguing with you. You're not here for a discussion, you're here to be told you're right and you're not gonna get anywhere like that. Making a 110% speed killer with no chase pressure will not help Legion.

I use frenzy to injure them, then I proceed to down them. Guess I’ve got to make that even more simple and clear.
Irrelevant. Still doesn't make a difference between your version and the current version.

Well in my several hours of experience with legion, 110% movement speed chases aren’t that bad. They’re very possible and just require a little bit of creativity to counter looping.
Congratulations. Your personal experience does not negate the actuality that any good survivor can already run a skilled 115% killer for a while, and that for a 110% killer that's even easier for said survivor to do.

Not really. Next to no one has actually given reasoning as to WHY it won’t work. That’s my problem.
Okay I'll make it as simple as I can: for a killer with 110% movement speed, chases are considerably harder. They're mitigated by said killers having abilities to let them quickly close a gap and hit their target. Huntress has range, spirit moves fast in phase walk, hag can teleport and Legion can down with Feral Frenzy. Removing Feral Frenzys ability to down takes the only offensive leverage Legion had to counterbalance his low speed. Thus he now has all the weaknesses associated with 110% speed and nothing to make up for it in a chase.

The fact that legion can’t actually just emit constant long range damage with no cool down or stun of any kind. His camera sits a lot lower than plague, plague can see scratch marks and hear survivors while using her power, she doesn’t have to get close to do damage. She doesn’t move slower.
You're just agreeing that Plague, who is already considered extremely weak, is better than your Legion change

Alright I’m giving up on this thread. No progress is being made here. It’s annoying that people say “no... it won’t work..” but no one else is even trying to fix him with ideas or feedback of their own. It’s just “I hate legion” great how vague. I’m sure BHVR knows exactly how to fix that problem with such specific feedback like that. Especially with nothing to substitute or change my idea with. This community is truly impossible to please. There’s no winning. I should probably stop wasting my time.
You're just getting defensive because your idea is being pointed out to not work as well as you felt it would. His power really does not work with core DbD mechanics, and he needs a total overhaul. Just a new power altogether. And it's it's not really worth it to make suggestions to that cause it's not gonna happen.

Well I have no idea how I’ve been getting 4k’s in red ranks this season doing just that. Chasing and downing at 110%.
Right, I'm sure you play all you games downing people just with basic attacks and not Feral Frenzy. Considering no survivors are even really IN red ranks this season, that sounds like a bold faced lie. Turning Legion into a 110% M1 killer with no time pressure does nothing to help him. You're more worried about your idea not working or not being than you are about Legion actually being in a good position.

What makes you say that? Do you mean you get away from every legion you play against?
It's not a challenge to draw out a chase with a 110% speed killer
-
@DarkWo1f997 said:

Then you’re going to be downed. No one is “perma-broken.” It’s your choice to heal. There’s consequences for not healing. That’s not a flaw. It’s a challenge.
This is how people are already dealing with him. This change would only mean that not only will they not heal, the won't have to mend either. It takes away the only form of time pressure Legion has right now. 110% speed isn't great when you need to M1 to get a down. It's slow, and as I already said, pallets and loops really easily stall this out.
-
That's the point, why heal? People will choose to remain injured the whole trial.
-
You gotta wiggle in real life or it won't go away
-
@TAG said:
If people are willing to argue that being perma-broken against a 115% Killer is a non-issue, I can't imagine being perma-broken against a 110% killer being not substantially worse.
That's a good point, this only really makes Legion just a slightly worse Plague
-
We can add built in unbreakable when we get rid of the hatch standoff. That's the only real reason to leave someone down for that long

So what exactly do you suggest for a rework?
Don't have a suggestion cause that's equate to just designing a new killer. Besides despite all the controversy the devs are never actually gonna rework Legion.
-
@DarkWo1f997 said:

Either way, it stalls the match, keeps people out of service for longer and allows you to kick and regress gens more effectively.
Plus we haven’t even touched on how many benefits of legion builds would also increase.
Do you have a suggestion as to how to make him better?
It doesn't stall the match though. Less time is being spent mending and subsequently healing and more is being spent on gens.
And frankly no I don't have a suggestion for making him better cause I think he DOES need a rework. His power just doesn't synergize with how DbD plays and it shows.

Something I usually do is use frenzy to catch up to them and cancel in front of them. Climbing back through a window you just came from closes the gap really well as they expect you to be chasing them in a circle.
even while stunned from frenzy you can stand in front of windows or pallets and prevent them from being used, causing confusion as they struggle to find another route, they never make it further than 5 meters before I get them when I pull that trick.
That's still not a huge advantage and still doesn't give much incentive to mend at all. Survivors will quickly adjust their strategies and effectively render the power useless. Even if they choose to mend, they'll be smart enough to gain more distance rather than mend immediately after a chase, since there's 0 pressure to mend right away.
-
@DarkWo1f997 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/413389#Comment_413389
Because if a legion knows what he’s doing, he’s going to catch you at 110% movement speed. Within 30 seconds.
Does Legion have some sort of advantage in a chase I'm not aware of? If he's not getting leverage in a chase with deep wounds, then he's just as vulnerable to looping, vaults and pallets as most other killers. Arguably less than most killers.
-
@DarkWo1f997 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/413368#Comment_413368
Yes it does. It’s not uncommon to find survivors who are mending by chance as legion. The legion can mind game and pretend to leave but swing around in frenzy and get closer to the survivor who is mending, cancel, and catch them.
If they think it’s safe, they’ve got to keep their fingers crossed because the moment the start mending, they’ll go down if they stop. They have to hope they aren’t found or a teammate accidentally leads legion to them in a chase.
I love legion more than anyone else on this forum and that’s guaranteed. I only play legion now. I do not play anyone else, and this is how I feel being a high rank especially this season. The first step to buffing him is finding a compromise first so there’s no outrage or review bombing. Wouldn’t you agree?
You misunderstand my question: why mend at all? Survivors are already facing Legion without healing, what's the point in mending in the first place other than making the screen not as dark?
-
Hillbill-oh wait
-
What's your incentive to mend at all in the first place? If you can't go past 5% then it's just like being slightly more injured and doesn't put any extra pressure on the survivor.

@ClogWench What exactly is so horrible about the mend though, you get tons of bp from it throughout the match if the legion plays fair, gens/healing are basically the same sim but much longer, the screen getting dark is annoying but meant to encourage the mend, pigs helmets are also a distraction tactic, is it purely that you have a 15s mend then heal then potentially get the same again? I guess it might be that you feel it is too easy to get wounded as opposed to chase with another killer? Might also be that once fully healed you're more likely to be found by killer instinct when a less skilled surv gets the initial frenzy hit? I think the weakness w/ 110 movement is made up by the frenzy ease of hits. Also makes up for his lack of true pressure due to base movement speed. How would you rework this without scrapping the method entirely? I actually like frenzy as is, I just think they need to get rid of the cheese legions (aka franks and moonwalk/LOS chases). Legion can be looped and counterplayed people just DC before they get the chance to learn.
See I WOULDN'T rework it without scrapping it. I really think the entire power needs to be replaced. I don't care about his weakness or strength, the power is inherently unfun and obnoxious to face and unlike regular hits or pigs traps, you end up dealing with it over and over again.

See, I enjoy facing them though. It's an actual chase and not just a run around while hopping over pallets. They are one of the only killers I FEAR chases with.
Then you're one of few. Personally I hate getting stabbed and watching them leave. Turns it into mending simulator. Also frustrating in a chase cause unless the killer is very bad at tracking, there's very little chance of you actually managing to escape. And I'd say the extremely high DC rate would back up the notion that most people hate facing them

They would work if the moonwalking and blades exploits were fixed.
They're not as bad as everyone wants them to be.
The problem is how deeply unfun they are to face. Not how balanced they are. (That's an issue too but nothing new)
-
A bandaid fix. Legion needs a rework, not nerfs and not buffs. Complete overhaul. Their playstyle and mechanics don't work in this system at all.
-
I'd keep old DS but mostly cause it's something I came to get used to. It was annoying but I stopped letting it bother me. MoM is a fresh new annoyance and I find it harder keep track of who has it.

How am I contradicting myself? I said.
"I'm not arguing for deep wounds to override no mither."
As in I dont want them to bleed even if they have it.
I then said "I'm just saying no mither has plenty of included benefits. May be situational, but its 3 different situtional bonuses in one perk. Blood, noise, and recovery."
Because you argued to someone that not bleeding is arguably it's only upside.
I can point out that it indeed has multiple upsides while still agreeing that it should still make them not bleed (one of its 3 upsides) even with deep wounds.
Help me understand how that's contradictory.
My reading comprehension is garbage, I thought you were OP. Sorry about that.

Hopefully they ignore it. They should stop letting the community dictate the game cause the two sides will always bump heads. The devs are supposed to be the middle man
The community is the only reason they're getting money from the game. I'm not saying they should heed every demand but if a huge portion of the community is upset about something they should listen to the complaints at least

No, i just follow blood stains. Due to colour deficiency, I have to use Blood hound on all killers, or would never be able to follow anything, anyhow, we are getting off topic here.
The question was more should the Deep wound status over-ride No Mither's no bleeding...

Kinda contradicting yourself but in the end, no it shouldn't. The perk already hinders the survivor enough.

Only upside? Recovering to full isnt an upside? Reduced noises arent an upside? Oof.
You'll rarely actually get to recover to full if the killer knows what the perk does. And most no Mither users I see bring Iron Will anyway. Neither is really a big asset in comparison. I hardly think Deep Wounds needs to make them bleed on the floor.

Thanks @Aven_Fallen for your well argued input.
@ClogWench , not something that needs prioritising at all, although questionable as when broken by plague, the victim bleeds (OT, but I think they should puke blood!)
Like Milo already said, No Mither stops bleeding entirely. It's arguably the only upside to the perk. Doesn't really deserve a nerf like that.

It's still not a test of skill though. You can absolutely body a team and then depip. Instead of having green-rank-skilled players in red ranks, now you just get red-rank skilled players in green and purple ranks. Same problem, new coat of paint.
