no in fact it is nothing confirmed, we are only speculating, I only say that if they do a collaboration for stranger things with fortnite and roblox, theoretically they should do the same even with dead by daylight, but they are only hypotheses obviously
Just a theory, that's why the title of the thread says "confirmed". All I'm saying is I wouldn't get my hopes up cause there's a LOT of other possibilities.

You obviously don't know how to use dead hard. The way how you described it completely missing the strong part of dead hard.
Then by all means, elaborate more on what the strong part is and how thats the optimal way to beat Ghostface.

netflix is pushing the ip of stranger things, especially because the third season is coming soon, if they have decided to enter the world of video games by releasing a game of stranger things, if they decide to make collaborations with fortnite and roblox with stranger things, and if decide to entrust to "Next Games" the development of a mobile game always on stranger things, I don't see why with behaviour they have to make a collaboration on another IP, also because it wouldn't even make sense, stranger things comes out soon, it wouldn't make sense a collaboration with another TV series. They have also partnered with Nike for stranger things.
Do you have any idea how many IPs Netflix has? Stranger Things isn't the only relevant one they have, it's just the straw people are grasping for. I'm not saying it's NOT stranger things, but it's far from confirmed.
-
I usually defend a lot of the devs choices but they truly don't have a clue what they're doing with regards to the ranking system

a mobile game on stranger things is already in production, so it's not a new game in collaboration with behaviour, they will also collaborate with fortnite and roblox, so I don't see why they shouldn't do it even with behaviour, I just hope they aren't skin
But who says it has to be Stranger Things? All we know is a connection between Behavior and Netflix, that could be a mobile game for ANY of their IPs.

I DM for a D&D group so I'm always writing and editing campaign notes, painting figures and crafting props.
-
Watch it turn out to actually be DbDs iteration of Ghostface present in that Scream series they have, or something akin to that. Like theres not even confirmation yet that it's gonna be BHVR featuring something from Netflix, it could be the other way around. It could also involve a completely different IP or be something akin to that Westworld game or Fallout Shelter.

Funny because this thread was created by someone who can't handle... Ghostface? Yikes
Sometimes it takes a while to get the hang of playing against a new killer.
-
I want a killer that's a bear. Just a regular bear. Nothing supernatural or malevolent, just a regular bear the entity yoinked out of northern Canada and dropped into the preschool.
-
It's the clapping
-
You get a lot of chances to escape, if you fail all of them that's on you. Killer shouldn't be faced with a near impossible kill just because the survivors played terribly.
-
Well assuming it's wake up I'm fairly certain no one has been banned for it and likely won't be either since simply having a perk equipped with no official recognization that it's bugged isn't TECHNICALLY exploiting it. You may benefit from it but it can't be proven that you're exploiting it.
-
I won't ask for details if I'm wrong but isn't the Wake Up bug just passive and something you benefit from just by having? Or is this another perk that's bugged?
-
I haven't heard anyone actually getting banned for it. Just a lot of fear mongering.

I'm glad. Have fun. Hope she does not get "reworked" like some other people's main :-(
She won't, she doesn't need it and most changes in the game have little to no impact on her. She's high tier and has a lot of good perk synergy.
-
Well you're welcome to believe what you like. I'm sure the numbers aren't gonna change much after the hot fix though.

No mither means I dont have to care that he stalks me and that it's even better when he stays in stealth mode. Also it allows me to use dead hard. Without no mither I could get exposed and couldn't use deaf hard to correct mistakes while looping
And any good killer is just going to wait to swing until after you dead hard. Any good killer isn't going to waste time stalking you. You don't have any actual leverage by running No Mither, you just give yourself the illusion that you do. You'd be better off running Balanced Landing or Sprint Burst over dead hard instead of committing 2 perks that really aren't going to help you against a killer who knows what they're doing.
-
My roommate has a Leatherface outright teleport to him mid chainsaw on console last week. Sometimes that just how it be

Imho Alien would be SO out of place in this game.. It would be ridicolous to see its model on all these sub-urban maps.
Imagine running from a xenomorph, genetically modified apex predator of the galaxy, by lightly jogging and occasionally smacking it with some wood.
-
To my knowledge the breakout sweet spot is slightly up and right of center screen. Once more people figure that out, and the hotfix sliiiightly increases the width of the detection zone it should be a lot more consistent.
-
I wouldn't say No Mither is good against him. It just means he doesn't have to use his power against you. I'd replace No Mither with maybe Spine Chill, Borrowed Time or Adrenaline.
-
To be fair he also can't effectively stalk through grass. I haven't had much of a problem breaking him out, is it possible it's his add-ons you're having trouble with? They reduce the range you can Spot him from.
-
@RoKrueger weird flex, are you implying you're the real monster?
-
Again, they're not nerfing him due to him being too strong, just that he's inconsistent. If this is a game changer for you then it doesn't sound like you have much credibility as a killer anyway. These really are minor things that overall aren't going to impact GF much at all. Also acting like a nerf to a killer or a perk is a victory over the other side is a garbage outlook to have. Nerfs and buffs are applied to try to increase the overall health of the game. No it's not flawless and no it's not perfectly balanced but acting like it's an us vs them situation really only hurts the cause.
-
Just sounds like a bad player honestly. Doubt it's a bot.
-
Once the GF hype dies out you'll encounter it less. Still sucks that of fully counters him but I suppose there's not much to be done about it. I understand where they're coming from with regards to not wanting to make it useless but it does feel like a double standard
-
If you don't mind being left on the hook to die after alerting the killer with firecrackers, sure
-
Absolute middle tier. Not terrible but not fantastic either.
-
They are.
-
Worth pointing out, the killer plays most of the match with only 3 perks, risking the 4th being entirely disabled by the end so it's not like they're getting free kills through it. They did invest a perk slot in a perk that may not matter at all. Plus you can cleanse it after the gates are powered too. You're not entitled to escape just by completing 5 gens.
-
The change is miniscule and only really affects him when he's trying to stalk while chasing behind someone. It adds consistency to how his power works and helps controller users to better handle him. The community doesn't agree, a small, loud portion who thinks every minor tweak is world ending agrees.
-
You cant ban someone for simply running a perk they may be unaware is bugged. Legions exploit you could more or less tell when someone was using it intentionally. That said, I don't see them handing out bans for abusing the entity blocker bug so the double standard still exists.
-
The doctor has so little strength and you'd take even that from him? No one else counters borrowed time and doctor is otherwise bottom tier.
-
This place is an echo chamber of misinformation so Im glad somebody finally cleared up that misconception
-
Not DbD related but I managed to catch a legit shiny Celebi(which was only available for the last year. Before then it was impossible)
-
They're changing him very slightly to be more consistent. You're not gonna notice a difference whatsoever if you're playing him actually stealthily.
-
I literally couldn't get more than 1-2 games all week. Bloodhunts suck for killer mains

from what i gather, the only tangible effect from this change will be that survivors who look directly at ghostface mid chase, out in the open, will no longer be exposed for no reason other than clunky mechanics
i cannot for the life of me see how this is a bad thing. if a survivor knows you're there and you're standing out in the open you aren't using your power correctly and you shouldn't be rewarded for it. it literally undermines the point of the killer
Fully agree. Clearly by that point you have been "spotted" so there's no reason you should be stalked then.

But there's also the fact when everybody or almost everybody is disagreeing with something from the devs, and something else to add too, most professional, well developed Developers would know what to listen to when their Community is divided into factions like DBD's community, or start listening to one part of their divided community that isn't bias at all, and BHVR is obviously not capable of doing that.
To everybody wondering where I got this from
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/69477/patch-notes-3-0-0-ghost-face#latest
Generally when there isn't much of a divide they do listen. But one side saying "I'm not biased" does not mean they're not biased. There's very few changes made that everybody disagrees with, few enough that they're extreme outliers and don't really count for much. The devs listen to input from all sides and then try to come to a balanced decision. Obviously they're not perfect but threads like this only make things worse

(To the first response) There's also a difference between a company listening to their communities and adding their own ideas to the mix while listening to the community's feedback to it and a company that doesn't listen to their community and adds their own ideas to the mix most of the time without considering the community's feedback, needs, wants etc or their Impressions on it
Basically one company listens to their communities feedback and before making a statement or change, they asked their communities feedback for it, while the other one does the exact opposite
@MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky they do listen and often take ideas from here though. The problem comes in the fact that DbD has several conflicting factions and nothing gets introduced without resistance from one group or another. Someone on here suggested MoM be reworked to work with protection hits. It was met with a lot of support and a mod said they'd pass it up the line. Now it's in the game. Every negative outcry in this game is rivaled by another group supporting it. The devs need to be extremely picky about what community ideas they use because every choice is met with open hostility like your own.
-
Instaheals could be reworked into passive heals that happen over time. Keep them from being broken while still retaining value. Moris are just too much though. Being able to just remove 1/4 of the competition early is a really powerful effect for how little you have to do.
-
Listening to the community and obeying the community's every whiny command are two different things. They do listen, they just don't immediately act on it and for obvious reasons. The change to detection isn't huge and will mostly just give it consistency that it's currently lacking. It's not going to change how well GF performs much.
If I were to suggest any change its that survivors should have a clear path from the character models face to GF to break it so that can't abuse the 3rd person function for it.
-
I'm not underestimating it because it's not as strong as Ruin. I'm underestimating it because it's not as strong as Ruin but still carries all of Ruins weaknesses AND becomes weaker by bringing Ruin.
-
Ruin for sure
-
M&A Hag.
-
You need 4 iridescent emblems afaik. It's not about kills anymore, it's Emblems.
-
The fact that it now activates within close range can help GF really quickly end a chase. You know where they are briefly and likely have no TR or red stain making it easier to take advantage of knowing the direction they went in to quickly cut them off and oneshot them. I'm not saying it's the best perk but it's better than the average stuff they pump out.
-
I'm All Ears isn't too bad with its alterations actually
-
If you dont have Ruin try Thanatophobia, Thrilling Tremors, Sloppy Butcher or Pop Goes the Weasel. Ghostface isn't the best snowball killer so he can use something to slow the game down just a lil bit
