He's viable, he just requires a lot of skill and game sense. If you use him like Myers you're going to lose but most killers can't understand that. He's actually super versatile and his power gives him a variety of options and uses.

Exhaustion addons should be removed, not added to basekits lol
Care to explain why

@LordGlint the problem with that is that survivors still play to find the hatch even if they don't know where it is. If the game is going poorly early on a lot of survivors will hide and not contribute so they can have even a CHANCE of finding it. I like your idea of the hatch respawning but I think I'd couple it with a change to finding it with less than 2 gens done. Maybe once one survivor is left EGC triggers instantly instead of when the hatch is closed, or even have the hatch not appear at all still and have EGC trigger anyway. The hatch should not be a reliable escape method
-
You're right. Though I understand it's frustrating to be on the receiving end and it's honestly the main reason I don't play survivor more
-
@LordGlint the hatch in general is a deeply flawed mechanic but one they can't really get rid of at this point. It encourages the worst behavior from players and rewards them for failing with extra BP that truthfully they didn't earn. It also encourages killers slugging for 4k, which is further bad design. Players shouldn't feel required to ruin an experience for someone to be able to win, especially if by that point they've already been doing the best.
-
Anything that makes gen progression faster in the current state of the game is by design, a bad idea.

@ClogWench How does that work?
Does Furtive's reduction beat M&A increase and zero out the TR during a chase?
Freddy has an add-on that reduces his TR to I believe 8M. M&A reduces it by a further 8 outside a chase making it 0, and increases it by 8 in a chase making it 16. FC reduces it by 16 in a chase at four stacks making it also 0.

In all seriousness, this game can never really be balanced, because for some reason, ppl think addons are allowed to be OP as long as they dont pop up in the bloodweb as often. The people you use your OP as hell addons dont care that you handicapt yourself in the last 10 games using brown addons. Thats not balance. That would be similar to being allowed to having 37 football players on one side, because they decided to only use 5 players for the past 5 games. If this seems ridiculous, its because it is.
Iridescent add-ons could be more balanced if they were designed to be similar to ones like Hags or Myers', add-ons that fundamentally alter the playstyle of the killer
-
We don't need a perk to further encourage people to use the hatch cause that'll just breed more players who play to get the hatch and just leave their team to die.
-
Changes like the pallet vacuum, exhaustion nerf and Decisive Strike were all balance changes to prevent one side from having an overwhelming advantage over the other. A lot of killers are unbalanced but that just means they need work done on them. Overall dead by daylight does need more balance fixes. Comparing it to Overwatch accomplishes nothing because that's a very different game in a much different position than DbD is.
-
Throwing Balance out the window would kill this game. Things may seem frustrating now but if certain balance changes hadn't been made Dead by Daylight wouldn't have survived nearly as long as it has. Any game that grows with new content has to have balance updates
-
Idk why people are getting so upset at basekit exhaustion on one killer. There's survivor perks that outright negate killer abilities, why is it so OP to have a mid tier killer counter like 4 perks, of which you only ever have 1 anyway
-
Learn to hit great skill checks. Ruin is borderline necessary for the majority of killers. If you wanna nerf it in any way it needs to also lose the Hex status.
-
Freddy can reach 0TR in and out of chase with it and M&A+one of his add-ons. Otherwise it's not fantastic no, especially considering it can't give anyone but Freddy and Myers 0 afaik.

Well for one, if you actually paid attention to what I first said, I CAN'T STAY in stealth w GF, so that's why I run M&A to get closer smart guy. I'm always spotted by someone so there goes my zero TR. And I don't run it w pig, I run it with Myers and sometimes Freddy. Why in the blue hell would I run it with pig? You just crouch, and even if your spotted, your TR doesn't activate. My gameplay is fine when not using broke killers. I main Freddy and Myers and manage to stay between red and purple rank. Of course my bests are Billy and spirit, but that gets boring. Nurse is a nightmare for me though on PS4. Just can't get the teleport hits down....
Then your problem is that you aren't as good at being stealthy as you think. Pig and Myers only need to hide from one target really. Ghostface has to stay hidden from several, but has a lot of utility to make up for it.

You conveniently forgot NOED, can like totally change the game from all 4 escaping to a 4K. DS could never do that, it just buys a few extra seconds for one survivor!
Only difference being Noed can be completely disabled and avoided. If a killer gets 4 kills through Noed it's cause the survivors suck
-
Let him stalk through corn and I'm happy. If I can see nea running so should he

Don't pretend to be all innocent with unfun killer perk combos existing in the game.
Combos are not the same as a single perk that broke all momentum and could be used 4 times in a trial. No single killer perk comes close to that. Even most perk combinations don't.
-
Ghostface has a really good kit for adapting and changing playstyle on the fly. It takes practice but he has so much potential
-
Hopefully we get something better than a bunk ass tank top for one character

Since revealing Ghostface is dependent on your camera, yes you can look away from Ghostface but you're allowing yourself to be followed and hit instead. As stated with using Night Shroud for a free hit, I could just start circling you for getting stalk off as well.
You misunderstand, he's saying what's stopping GHOSTFACE from turning around to avoid being revealed.

Reason I said to run was I thought it was a joke, for a Killer to run cause a Survivor has control of his power? Well anyway, thank you for the info, I had no idea you could go for grabs. Can I grab while crouching or do I need to stand? My tactic was always to 99 their stalk bar from a distance and go in for exposed, but that is not working anymore since everyone is constantly searching for him, as a meta, everyone just keeps Ghostface in eyes range to prevent his power.
I think you can grab out of crouch yeah. Ghostface is fun cause he has a lot of different ways you can use him and his power and frankly I'm excited to get some better perks on him

Her backstory is that she fights back against the killer ... The devs have actually made her somewhat weak in the game but is still hated. Decisive Strike for example should be allowed to be used whenever necessary, not on a timer that the killer can workaround...
This makes me wish characters had unique abilities. Laurie could DS anytime whereas the teachables has a nerfed DS. Claudette could heal faster, Meg has a shorter exhaustion, Jake can sabo much faster.
Two years of DS being the most broken perk shows why that's a garbage idea.

I do miss being able to see Kate hiding behind a tree because her hair decided to freak it for no reason.

Actually they got rid of the 8 meter thing.
Survivor have no idea how close you are unless you are literally on top of them now.
Oh sweet, so all those points stand+you're now a lot quieter too. That's awesome
-
With all due respect bud it just sounds like you're playing poorly.

I understand that but I will have Survivors run to me while I stalk to break me out of it, what am I supposed to do? Run away from the Survivor so I can stalk them? I just find it too easy to make him M1 the entire game, a coordinated team will do all their effort to make Ghostface M1.
A) take advantage of them getting close to get in an easy hit. Whether you follow up or let them escape, you're still putting pressure on them by retaliating.
B) try to actually be stealthy and stalk from somewhere they can't see you from. Takes some knowledge of the map for this though. Take advantage of LoS blockers so that survivors aren't seeing you in the first place.
C) don't enter night shroud in the open, make sure you have LoS blockers around to hide behind when someone spots you. You aren't broken out instantly and are given time to react, use that time to cut off LoS fast.
D) if survivors are still giving you trouble by breaking you out, stop trying to stalk and use Night Shroud aggressively in a chase to play mindgames
-
Like @weirdkid5 said you gotta play Ghostface in a way different from Myers. Using awareness perks to have a general idea where survivors are helps a lot in both stalking and evading. And taking advantage of his stealth for free hits.
-
SWF really doesn't offer that big of an advantage. It's just an easy blame for poor performance.

Huh. Haddonfield is pretty universally regarded as one of the worst maps for Killers, mostly because of the possibility of a true infinite when Balanced Landing is used.
That's not directly related to map/gen pressure though.
-
Scorching Summer BBQ....2!
-
Laurie has two of the most abused perks in DBD history.
-
@FredKrueger if you're having that much trouble with being broken out of stalk then you're playing him poorly. Survivors hear you from 8 meters away but beyond that they get no audio notification of you. On top of that you can use his power in a chase to get rid of your red stain and mindgame people more efficiently taking advantage of LoS blockers. He's versatile and the only killer who can freely turn off his TR, it just requires you to play smart. If you try to use him the same way as Myers you're gonna have a bad time.
-
This Armageddon mentality is embarassing to watch. He got altered slightly to make things more consistent, but hes far from being useless.
-
Overdramatic much.
-
Definitely not the best but as a hag main Urban Evasion is a huge thorn in my side. Besides that Iron Will and Calm Spirit throw me off

This is some serious lack of logic.
You can buy the dlc for whatever reason you want.
And if the reason you bought the dlc for is later modified or in this case, nerfed into the ground he has every right to be annoyed by it.
Except this guy bought it AFTER it was already nerfed
-
Chuck E Cheese WILL be in dead by daylight and you can't stop him
-
Seems unnecessarily complex when they could just tweak the current onr
-
Ignore the people giving you a hard time for wanting to buy Legion. You can get him with iridescent shards. Could take a little while to save up (could be wrong but I think it's around 9k shards for a killer) so it could take a few weeks of regular play.
-
Be more careful
-
It IS just virtual cosmetics, none of them have any gameplay impact so they can charge any amount.
-
I've been having 20 minute lobby searches and then sitting in said empty lobby for another 10+ minutes to find a game. I use this term sparingly but the game really is becoming unplayable for me because of these awful queues.
-
Yeah I haven't been able to play all week the queue times have been just terrible.
-
There isn't that big of a difference between SwF and solo play at high tiers. The difference that does exist comes more from the fact that more often than not the players who are already really good and could already run circles around most killers in solo play just happen to play SwF more often than not. They don't have a higher winrate, but it's a lot easier for a killer who lost to blame it on SwF being unbalanced than admitting they got outplayed by individual players. The problem comes in survivors having a significantly higher skill cap than most killers.
-
That's on you for buying a character for a perk without checking said perks effect.

@ThatGuyFromThatPlace I'm sorry I've offended you 😂 you can't remove the fog but the overall performance is better. The frame rate is a lot better as well.
You have to buy more stuff to use a keyboard and mouse on ps4. Not sure about xbox. I'm not spending more money to make cross play fair.
PS4 Keyboard and Mouse also has somewhat bad lag input if I'm not mistaken.
Overall no, because of mouse sensitivity and graphic performances, it's just not something I can get behind
-
Noed is a fun perk if you don't crutch on it. Having it as a safety net is nice but never come to rely on it regularly
-
Jon from Garfield, with accompanying killer Garfield. Nothing is as scary as hearing Garfields chitinous legs skittering through the halls of Lerys, seeing his eldritch visage only briefly as he turns the corner, gaining on you.
