You don't want to piss killers off, but your running exhaustion perks, prove thyself, and BT?
-
Yeah, people spend too much time talking about fake patch notes instead of reading the real ones.

That happens when neither of you want higher MMR :D
Lol, true!!!
-
I honestly do this every game. I don't survive anymore. I do all I can in game to help my teammates, then I give myself up.
Keeps my games chill. And I'd say 90% of killers take the kill, which is different than responses I heard on the forums.
The only time I escape now, is if killer carries me to an open gate, as they don't want the kill.
Or if my team works their asses off to save me against a camper, seems rude to just go back in after that.
But other than that, I'm only 2 hooking and enjoying chases.

I have legit not had survivors leave before there's 5 seconds or less left in EGC in MONTHS. Not even exaggerating, the amount of hours that have been wasted because losers have to stand at the exit and spam ctrl is ridiculous.
If they made it out, aren't they winners?
-
As a killer, as soon as you make a forum account, your are High MMR
-
That's a good time to go for the save
-
Honestly, where do you stop if opening that door. Ted Bundy? BtK? Dahmer?
Real killers had real victims, and that is who we should remember. Not put the killer's in a video game.
-
Please stop saying, "high mmr as killer".
We get it. You made a forum post. You're high Mmr killer. As obviously no killer on the forums allows that maybe, they're just middle rank mmr.
-
Why would you want to? To win one game?

I mean, you have almost 4k posts on a game forum as well, and I doubt you make money here. It seems you too have a lot of free time.
Fair enough.
But, no fake posts from me.

I understand how it works, cracks me up. The self absorption it must take to make your own fake patch video.
Idk what's funnier. His video, or the minnons that posted it 100 times on the forums

Like, nothing else to do, at all?

Eh, tomato, topoloday.
The celebration itself predates it significantly and was definitely widely observed before.
Lincoln made it more of an 'officially' codified national-level holiday rather than something that drew it's character more from specific states.
No, the celebration referred to by the pilgrims was a harvest celebration that originated in Europe. There is no evidence, that native Americans were even invited.
Days of Thanksgiving did indeed predate Lincolns holiday, but had nothing to do with the Pilgrims, except religion.

Hah!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2661314#Comment_2661314
Eh...Thanksgiving is a really complicated phenomenon (like...basically every other 'holiday') and yes, it's origins are debated. From my understanding, Lincoln affixed it to a specific date, but it was observed widely before then, with the dates and customs differing slightly from state to state. It was later altered again with the hopes of providing an economic boost.
To some, it's a harvest festival. To others, it has a religious or historical significance.
But for most people, it's just a time for you and your loved ones to eat an enormous amount of food and get into heated political debates with that one uncle (everyone has that one uncle - and sometimes I'm that uncle too).
No, he proclaimed it a National Holiday, days of Thanksgiving were had, in different places, but the orgin of the current Holiday stem from Lincoln. Who mentions nothing of the pilgrims.

I'm not American, the true meaning of your turkey day is all a bizarre joke to me.
I just know that a lot of people seem to really abhor thanksgiving dinners. You know, the joke I was making.
As an American History teacher, few in America really understand the truth of the holiday.
It was enacted by Abraham Lincoln, a day of thanks, in 1863 after the Civil War looked to finally be winnable.
The pilgrims and turkey ######### is BS.

From what I've gathered as an outside observer: being forced into contact with people you want nothing to do with, ostensibly with a lavish celebration that's often badly done, and being miserable?
I guess this BP weekend is right in the spirit of things then!
Well, Thanksgiving, at is core, is about giving Thanks for all one has as an individual as well a community.
Sounds like you have observed some questionable situations.
Glad I do not have similar experiences
-
Not sure, but I think you missed the meaning of the Holiday.
-
How long, do you think, before you get banned?

I just want maps to be balanced so Im not miserable facing survivors I should be facing. When you don't kill anyone. You end up facing not great survivors and that's just as boring.
I agree, it needs to start with maps being balanced.
I hope you had a great day! See you soon my friend

I did get steamrolled once with only a 1 kill as Hag but with 4 boons and a swfs group and they just outhealed my attempts at hit and run while popping my traps while someone else was in a chase and in my stream, I even said, damn. These boons shafted Hag hard. Next game, I played Basement Hag and 4k'd. I took my lumps but I definitely called out if I got destroyed and why. Hag really does get destroyed by boons, just like Doctor can get shafted by server lag. I never once said these killers were the best or the worse and I was always honest on how I felt when I was playing. It's how I've always played. Could I have one every match by tunneling after 2 gens? Definitely but I'm not that person. When I did get a 1k or a tie, I barely did. Those were matches where I didn't camp even when I felt like I should have. I just wanted to prove a point.
I understand that. And I appreciate your candor. I wish others would acknowledge that perhaps, they just lost.
It happens, there is no shame in it. But, so much of the forums, is, "Damn, unbalanced SWF destroyed my game."
"I am high MMR and the game is unplayable "

I mean they almost certainly are considering how the system works.
Getting outplayed.
Agreed.
-
I just wish everyone would play how they would like to verse.
That's it, if you are truly fine facing the tactics you use, than I am fine with it as well.
And, that each person remembers the other players in the game are people as well.
-
It's frustrating to get your ass kicked.
And, Blight mains, with the right perks, can be oppressive.
Just lose a bit and your mmr will drop,

On comms, yes but my point is, no one faces that ######### every single match, all the time and I'm sick of seeing it on the forums without any proof. Just a ton of bitching. I prove my matches and immediately get told low mmr xD Not you but by others lol.
Yes, exactly. That is how I feel. Sure, it happens, but every single game, is sus
-
@AVoiceOfReason said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2656524#Comment_2656524
That's the issue. You can say you lost due to high mmr but if someone 4ks over 60 matches straight, must be low mmr? If this is the case, every killer on this forum must be GOD'S since they ALWAYS seem to go against the cream of the crop, or they say. My point stands. Been playing over 4 years with almost 5k hours and I play both. I doubt I have low MMR. I would love to see the actual number in-game for everyone.
Yes, exactly. Im pretty sure every killer on here , truly believes, they are at the highest of MMR.
They couldn't of just got outplayed, right?
-
No sweat, still got my DS
-
I understand what you are saying. There are indeed many high skilled killers that do quite well.
And, one ######### survivor will destroy a team in higher MMR.
But, 4 optimal survivors are still the strongest mode in the game.
Although, I don't believe 4 optimal survivors are the rule, but more the exception.
-
I just quit sweating.
I don't kill and I don't escape anymore, and I feel I am having a lot of fun. As killer I go for 4 stacks then 8 hooks. As survivor I do all I can to play and help the team, but I always go back and save everyone else then meme around and make sure I die.
In fact, the only time I escape anymore, is if the killer carries me to the door and drops me. As I feel at that point, it is in bad form to stay.
But, I noticed my games are getting much less sweaty and my competitors also seem to be taking the game less seriously.
Not for everyone, I know, but lots of fun for me.
-
I should play this way, but I run everywhere and do objectives until I am seen, then do the best in chase until I am caught. After I get saved from the hook, rinse and repeat.
-
My q times are still instant as well.
Ofcourse, I play chill

Do you realize that those behaviour are the base for camping and tunneling ?
You shouldn't report it, because it's not against the rules.
But, considering I've never done it, and get camped and tunneled on the reg, I'd say, it's not always the cause.
But as to why people BM each other, I'm convinced there are a lot of kids playing this game. And, they watch too many streamers, and think because they won, they can act like #########.

New killer buff!
Load in , in the middle of a chase!
-
I have been a member of these forums for two years now, and a reader for 3.
In all that time we have begged BHVR to concentrate on game health and stop worrying about new bug filled content. It seems we will never see this happen.
It is becoming obvious, that the money new content brings as well new players are more important than long term player retention.

No! A survivor will keep blessing the boon that i keep putting out then with Trapper for example once that last gen is popped i go to the dull totem and trap it up. The counter to NOED is to "destroy" dull totems not blessing them although it can be blessed too. If a survivor happens to get to my NOED before i do and bless it that's different but that's also much more rare and situational for that to happen.
Yeah, I can see that in solo q. But for SWFs it is different, as often they have four totems blessed. But, I do think the Devs are trying to shake up game play and create counters
-
@Edilibs said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647909#Comment_2647909
Boons arent a counter to NOED at all, if anything boons ensure that the killer WILL have NOED endgame.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647996#Comment_2647996
I actually play all Hex builds sometimes in my attempt to win and get 3 or 4k with alot of hooks, its not that good. I even went to RPD station a couple of times with Pig and all Hex perks and i still ended up losing..a map where its hard to find totems (or a map where people don't really know all the spawn yet)
Im not saying its bad at all but its certainly not an answer to boons and if THATS not a answer (Pig with all Hexes on the newest largest map) to boons then nothing is.
How do you figure this. IF more people are doing Boons, less chance for NOED.
-
Problem is there are a lot of kids that are playing a mature game. Where the parents at???
My guess is more often than not, these type of BMing players are children or have arrested development.
Remember, it always says more about them than about you.

Thats good, play high mmr killer to see what is the interativity you are talking about lol. Because the interativity that i see is only the way that benefits the actualy power hole of the game.
I am sure after four years, I am not exactly, low MMR. But I am not one to assume I am high MMR.

This is great isn't it? Like, killers where to damn strong to suvivors now be able to counter every thing they could do
I think it is great that they are tying to mix up the game play. And hopefully make it more interactive than the same old meta each game. Or stale playstyles.
And, in Solo Q, trust that survivors are not countering everything a killer does. SWF maybe, but rarely in Solo.
-
I think Boons were a counter to NOED and other hexes. As well as camping and tunneling to a certain extent.
I believe Bhvr is trying to maker counters to the various game plays, Like Built to last countering Franklins, Boons countering Hexes, etc.

Well.. I'm saying the game is lop sided. Either killer gets bullied, or the killer annihilates scrub Survivors. And the lop sidedness is extreme.
Putting a 1000 hour survivor w a 100 hour survivor needs to stop.
That's what I'm saying.
Not sure how you thought I was referencing you and not OP.
But, after reading your post I'd say old system was just as bad. Smurfs were everywhere.
The problem with this game is everyone thinks it's competitive, instead of a party game. And the comp scene doesn't help.
-
Are you saying killers are winning?
Easily?
That is a different tone than most of the posts on here.
-
I generally give hatch if I hear it walking last survivor to the hook. That's about it, I don't search all over the map to find it.
On the flip side, I also don't slug for the 4k. If you find it first, good on you.
-
Reggae Rock, all day, all night.

I hate it when people say this crap. Losing isn't fun, period. Losing when you never had a chance is even less fun. That BS cope 'hurr hurr it's just a game' doesn't change the fact that games should be fun and DbD isn't.
Fun is subjective. 4king and 4 man outs is not the only definition of fun.
Plus, why tag me just to say you dislike what I said? I didn't quote you. And I was in agreement with OP.
