Both situations waste time for no reason and have nothing more each side can really do. Thats what's not different. There is NO good reason as to why a killer shouldn't be able to just abandon once the gates are open. If you can find somewhat of a reason then feel free to try and give one but there won't be. The ONLY thing I can think of is very slightly less BP.

Okay thats just a false statement, and you dont know whos in the exit gates or not.

Already gave multiple reasons as well as gameplay in this thread. And I just said you dont know whos in the gates or not, theres another reason.

You dont get a give up button just because you dont like the way a match is going. Thats not why the abandon feature was added for slugged survivors.

Yes please. The only scenarios this would be used in is scenarios where survivors are already IN the gates. When someones in the dying animation on hook and they linger in the match for the rest of the EGC timer not even doing anything. This situation is literally no different than the killer having 4 people on the floor. Why is there a double standard here?

Situation is completely different than 4 people on the floor. These are not comparable at all. Rest of the forum thread you have to go through illustrates several times why its not the same thing.

    But with your idea:
Okay so then whats stopping them from standing JUST outside of the gates and doing the same thing until you walk over?

    Personally.
Id just stick myself somewhere in the map and let the 3 others bag hard at the gate if your idea went through. Someones still in the map so you cant abandon, but the other 3 are still in your face with the control button causing emotional distress.

    ???

They have an afk, miss skill checks, drink cool aid instead of doing gens, don't know how to loop and give you vile purge the whole match.

obviously the counter to plague is to do the complete opposite of what those bots did

    They have an afk

Which I left at the start of the match. (Macro)

    miss skill checks

Your matches people just hit every single skill check? Huh wierd. I think I watch streamers who play this game as a career and they are about 20x better than both of us combined.

    And they miss skill checks.

drink cool aid instead of doing gens

You dont get infected needlessly if you dont have to. Thats part of plague macro counterplay. They dont know I have an addon that extends disease 40 seconds though.

This would be like immediately getting on a gen against a nurse at the start of a match. A small bit of stealth at the start goes a long way not giving a fast early down.

don't know how to loop and give you vile purge the whole match.

    This doesnt track.

If they didnt know how to loop why did I have only 3 hook stages at the end of the match?

Yui and Dwight both knew exactly where to go every time for chase. Becca played the TL just fine she didnt know I had Bam.

give you vile purge the whole match.

Corrupt purge is red puke just so you know. Vile is what you have to start.

Cleansing with this strong of a map is not a bad idea as well. The general rule that gets touted on the forums "dont clease until the end" is not something you follow after you have played the game longer than a couple hundred of hours. There is about 40 asterisks that come with that saying, and this match is one of those situations.

Pluss, I dont know if they are all just reacting to someone else doing it. One person does it you may as well all do it.

And they did extremely well given the fact that I had corrupt available to me all match. They are good players and loopers for sure.

So theres pretty much no truth to anything you have said in your statement.

lol "macro"...that's just an example of utterly incompetent survivors. early on the guy is just standing still doing nothing until he's hit. it takes them over 7 min to complete the first gen at 4 alive which is terrible even with corrupt intervention. during that time they managed to drink the cool aid several times cause they're too scared to play injured in the "healing meta". they also miss multiple skill checks not even close to killer, can't hold a chase longer than 10 sec and give you vile purge almost the whole match. it's actually a miracle they even powered the gates playing like that. wouldn't be surprised if one of them was immersed the whole time cause they knew the match was unwinnable with their caliber of teammates.

Sounds like you dont play or know how to play macro or against plague either. Thats okay though we are all learning

  • If OP had their way, plays like this wouldnt happen.

    WARNING

May cause emotional distress due to control button being used in gameplay.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUZR15c655I

    image.png

Look at that. Not even 2k points? Really? You're gonna tunnel THAT HARD cmon. Game was 2v1 for 3 gens that I had to do, which Jill held chase for WITH DEADLOCK. Giga teammate.

Huntress camped out and tunneled both of those survivors but the first one didnt even get to play the game. That deserves a bit of control button if you ask me.
    Especially with iri hatchet.

If OP had their way plays like this couldnt happen. Someone would be hooked and then theyd just abandon. Or if someone got the unhook theyd just abandon.

    Gameplay at this stage MATTERS.

  • Example of macro play:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fXDwRciiJU&feature=youtu.be

No tunneling, no camping, no movement killer, brought to Eyrie of crows, 4 survivors alive 1 gen to go, all gens found and being worked on, 3 hook stages at 1 gen.

    Still won

You dont get to quit just because you "feel its not worth playing out"

That is 1:1 the exact same logic people used for giving up on hook.

The difference is that a Survivor giving up on hook was actively detrimental to the other three Survivors on their team.

It's not comparable because the point of the "Abandon" feature is not to allow you to "quit just because you 'feel like its not worth playing out'", but rather to skip a part of the match that would otherwise be drawn out. A better comparison would be to one of the uses of the Abandon feature on the Survivor side, which is when they are all slugged/hooked. In this case, there is also plenty of gameplay left (Survivors can wait for the opportunity to unhook themselves which is on average an ~11% chance to escape the Hook and possibly get Hatch/Exit Gates), but BHVR recognized that this was an ending many Survivors were disinterested in pursuing and thus gave them a way to just leave what was, ~89% of the time, going to result in a death for the Survivor anyways.

This is exactly the same situation as what OP has proposed; if the Exit Gates are powered AND opened, and the Killer does not have any real lead to work with (a Hooked survivor, an active Chase, Endgame Perks, etc.), the conclusion is usually going to be that the Survivors will just wait for the Killer to push them out of the Exit Gate (which many take as an opportunity to teabag and rub it in the Killer's face). It's just like being 4-man slugged as Survivor (and when the Killer chooses to hump/t-bag your character on the ground); why should you have to sit through that?

I feel like OP has made a fair point; BHVR has implemented this function for a specific purpose (skipping a part of the Match that is basically a cutscene) and this situation as Killer seems to fit that purpose. Yes, there are some emotions involved with the more toxic aspects of how both sides rub the salt in their opponent's wound (the humping on the ground as Killer, the t-bagging at the gates as Survivor), and that is something BHVR will never be able to truly fix; however, it is something that I'm sure both sides would be glad to see less of, though, and this Abandon feature coincidentally helps avoid that a lot more often than before.

I think you’re looking at this only from the perspective of “how can I avoid wasting time,” but the truth is, the EGC isn’t just a cinematic or passive phase, it’s an active part of the match with real gameplay you can still make plays people can still make mistakes. All the hallmarks of a match STILL in progress.

Survivors don’t escape automatically when the gates are powered. If killers can surrender just because they don’t have a lead, you’re removing the survivors’ opportunity to capitalize on mistakes or pull off great team plays. That isn’t the same as being 4-slugged with zero control.

And sure, no one likes teabagging, but quitting midgame to avoid being teabagged isn’t game design, it’s just emotional reaction. Once you start building mechanics to let people check out when it’s “probably over,” you encourage people to abandon gameplay that’s still winnable.

    Aka

    Giving up on hook.

Well, my dear friend, I strongly support reverting all of her nerfs and leaving her be.

Skull Merchant 2.0 didn't cause the 3 gen thing, and was perfectly fine as she was. They could make a few minor adjustments if needed, but overall that is what I think she should be.

id be 100% onboard with this idea. And I would offer playing against you in a custom match any time ♥

To be fair, my friend, I'm currently having a lot of fun with Skull Merchant, and she is among the weakest killers in the game.

I feel like the least they could do is give her bidirectional drones back. Single direction is sooooOooooo bad D:

Anything but perma expose and killer instinct really I was fine with.

There's a huge difference between done at 4 gens and when EGC has started. That comparison feels pretty disingenuous. I still see nothing gained by forcing them to draw out the end of a match. At this point though it's probably best we agree to disagree as I don't think either of us will convince the other.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3964111#Comment_3964111

You can still maybe create that pressure but it's a long shot. If the killer wants to take that shot by all means let them. If not I can't see a reason to forcibly rub salt into the wound.

We can definitely agree to disagree, but just to be clear, it’s not about comparing EGC to 4 gens directly. Its about the logic you used to derive why you think it "doesnt matter"

Today it's “I don't want to be tbagged at the gate,” tomorrow it’s “I don’t want to chase these 4 survivors with 1 gen left.” It’s a slippery slope, and the moment gameplay systems cater to emotional gripes, rather than actual game state, competitive integrity breaks down.

Asking for an out because of feelings is a point of view. Shared by all the people who hookacided out of a match. Whether justified or not. And that was removed.

You dont get to quit just because you "feel its not worth playing out"

That is 1:1 the exact same logic people used for giving up on hook.

What you miss killer isnt always power role and it depends on situation look one match it will be nurse against 4 randoms killer will be in power role till gates are powered, second example 2 duos agsinst trapper doyou think trapper will be power role? No he will start the game loosing if you think power role is the one who starts the game loosing them you must be 100% true durvivor main who worships the rule book. For me power role is the one that has like 90% of things that happen in control, do you have feeling that killer van control 4 survivors constantly I dont think so depends on map, tiles that spawned on the map, killer and his power, both survivors and killers skill. Killer cant control chases all the time only thing thats certain is killer will down that survivor but it can be 20 seconds or over 1 minute which is enough time for others durvivors chilling on gens to do atleast one gen each killer will fown one durvivor and hook him now he has 1/12 of his objective, lets say survivors did 3 gens it was long chase now they have 3/5 of their objective done so who is power role in this situation, who has more control over the game? Is it realy killer or are durvivors power role now? They have time on their side and they are 4 on 2 gens killer csn hook one and chase another but 1 is still free to do gens so he needs fast chases, slugs, someone tunnel to make more preasure on them to gain the control back and be the power role.

You claim killer is power role because he can force survivors in endgame out of the gates, yes he can but who won survivor forced out or killer? For me survivor he gets escape so win for him and he wastes killers limited time to gain more time for his teammates that can be still in the match. Killer is power role but that thing changes trough the match in the end he can force them out but shat is it worth they must leave before timer runs out or they die and they win if he kicks them out they would left nonetheless so he can only make it faster and nothing dtill happens to them if he forces them out theres no risk for such huge power role you claim.
But maybe survivor rulebook says the opposite, Idk I ding read it.

I dont know why you keep typing up a bunch of irrelevant stuff that has nothing to do with this discussion.

Nothing here has anything to do with tbagging at the exit gates (the contents of this thread).

The killer is 100% in control of making it continue or stop thats not an opinion either. (power role)

    @Abbzy said:

I think you missed few patchs ago, that option to leave because you dont like it and you dobt want to play it exist its called abandon option and believe it or not its both for killer ( he dont need to play against full team of bots and when last two durvivors are hinding for 10 minutes) and survivor (when all team is slugged and when killer won and has basekit mori option) if some of this scenarions happens then they can leave without dc penalty.

Thats not why the system was created at all. The developer patch notes, with specific notations in italics, when it was released, tell you why it was implemented.

And it was not "the option to leave because you dont like it and you dont want to play it"

This is a completely false statement saying this, and I think its best if we end the discussion here.

Sure you can make a comeback but why force them to try if they're just done at that point? I'd require EGC to have started before the concede option was available. Once at that point I can't see any benefit to forcing the killer to continue. So long as the survivors get credited for the escape they aren't losing anything outside of the possibility of a sick play. Even then is it truly a sick play if the killer is just going through the motions because they have to? To me there's nothing to be gained by forcing these situations but there's plenty to be lost.

You dont see the problem with this kind of reasoning? Whats to stop someone from doing this at 4 gens and no hooks?

They dont want to play and "they are just done at that point, whats the harm?"

Thats a terrible precedent to be setting. A killers emotional state dictating mechanics core gameplay loop and responsibilities?

You're asking for a giveup button even though there is plenty real gameplay left. Giving up is a choice, but that doesnt mean we should start creating give up buttons based on what people feel emotionally, escaping responsibility to comiting a match.

Thats what hookacides are. Want those back?
Those players "felt it was over" and they used it and guess what? It was abused.

End game is part of the match, until people have left the exit gates. That is not up for debate.

The argument of "I dont want to try" or "I am emotionally spent" shouldn't and cant dictate a surrender option being implemented here.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3964086#Comment_3964086

Sure, but realistically the game is over at that point so I just don't see the harm. It's not even something I want I just can't see how it will really matter at that point.

Its not though, the game isnt over until survivors are out. Just because the exit gates are powered doesnt mean the game is over.

    I like this idea personally

    @francesinhalover said:

Should be 1 or 2 min after exit gates are open with no One hooked killer can abandon.

    Hooking resets timer

Think this would be fine. Probably the 2 minute idea though 1 min leaves a lot on the table for people traveling to the gate or resetting.

  • Further.

Having the option to remove this part of gameplay through a skip "just because I dont like it, its unfavorable" has no limit.

Pretty soon it will be "Well theres 1 gen to go I only have 3 hook states, I should beable to abandon, it's unwinnable"

The game is still going, you can still make plays, you still have full control over your character.

    @thrawn3054 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3964012#Comment_3964012

If killer abandoning gave the escape credit and points why would that be bad for survivor? The only case I can see is if you're trying to do an achievement that needs you to actually walk through the exit gates/relys on the endgame being active.

It removes entire gameplay that revolves around endgame.

Whats to stop them if you make a sick unhook at the end of the game, killer whifs or too many body blocks, just closing out the match but no punishment?

They can still catch them depending on the killer as well so its STILL not over from there.

But it would be the same as getting outplayed at a loop and DCing.

You're asking to beable to leave in unfavorable conditions.

This is not the same as being slugged, as you have full control over your character.

  • I was always under the opinion of .. if you want to decide the map go play a custom match with your friends. Test and what not on some map.

Control or influence on map outcome just shouldnt be a thing in matchmaking

Remove the items entirely sounds appropriate as they probably wont even be used at all going forward. BHVR probably has the numbers on how many of these things are being used now.

  • @Abbzy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3964037#Comment_3964037

I disagree killer isnt always in charge game progress for each side shifts meaning survivors split do 2-3 gens and killers has just one hook they are now ahead killer with their objective then killer starts getting more hooks gen regression and slowdown kicks in and he tunnels one out on 2 gen left now he is in power role but one bad chase can cost him gens and survivors are now more winning it isnt killers always the ones who is in charge. Yes killer is stronger than dingle survivor for reason so its asymmetrical game and survivors are four on one. Killer fights always against time, time isnt survivors ally just survivof isnt preasured that much by the time in the trial as killer. When exits are opened killer can have things like noed, blood warden but survivors are now in power role 20 second they need to open gates and they are out in 95% of the time they open them. Killer is pictured as power role but he isnt always the one who is in charge of the trial and he doesnt always feel as power role due to many factors and some he cant infuence like loop tiles spawn on map.

Again you arent talking about the the OP was saying. They are talking about bagging at the exit gates. Gens are done, there is no survivors split 2-3 gens whatever you typed here.

Power role to stop bagging at the exit gates is 100% the killer.

    @Abbzy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3964062#Comment_3964062

Yet again it depends on the situation if he has no one on the hook or in chase and survivors are near 99 gates than its pretty much over for him.

No there is no depending on the situation. There is no equivalent on the killer side of having basic function of your character taken from you and you sitting there with no options, to end it.

    Thats what being slugged is.

That is not what survivors t bagging at the exit gate is.

    These are fundamentally different things.

  • @Crowman said:

The fact that survivors can abandoned instantly when they are the last survivor left and downed yet people are against killers having the same thing really goes to show hypocritical this community can be. If killers don't want to deal with waiting out the 2 minutes, because survivors want to BM you at the gate, let them leave at that point.

its not the same thing though.

    Games over for the survivor.

Games not over for the killer.

  • @Abbzy said:

Power role only on paper in the game its rng of the map and players match togeather, the killer and his loadout. Some matches are already decided in the lobby but no obe can see it like 2k gostface with aura build against 4 man with meta perks and medkits or solo q team against p100 blight, nurse with hundreads hours on them running strong builds.

Uh. The power role in the context of what the OP was saying, is 100% the killer regardless of their loadout, the other teams loadout, the specific killer, the map, etc.

The person who has the control over how long a bag fest happens at the exit gates is entirely on the killer allowing it to happen.

Killer has all the control in the world to end it, as well as make a bunch of plays (my whole point) even if the exit gates are powered.

Power role in the general sense outside of this thread, sure the things you listed apply to an extent.

  • @francesinhalover said:

How about we get a reason as to why killer shouldn't get his change? Oh wait, there isn't 👍

I mean you have already made up your mind. It seems kind of redundant to say all of this.

You dont know, whos at the gate, and who isnt. You can still get a kill. Or a hook, and then altruism can get you a win.

If you dont want to play that part of the game, then thats your own fault.

The surrender system wasnt given to survivors that are slugged because they feel like the game is over. It was given to them because killers were bleeding them out and there was nothing they could do about it.

Just because the exit gates are powered doesnt mean the game is over.

There are entire perks and playstyles AND POWERS that work around people hanging in the doors.

If the control button is too much, then maybe take a step away from dbd and come back with a better mindset.

  • Repeating isnt helping

    Match isnt won yet either.

  • No thanks, just push them out.

You have the power role here. Go break doors and pallets if you dont want to deal with it as well.

This should encourage longer games though which means more BP for all.

Thats my point. Killers who tunnel are going out of their way to really end the match as fast as possible and it comes with the downside of less points.

So if they are already doing that, then they arent concerned with BP at all. Giving an incentive for more bp is not going to change anything.

  • You already barely get any points and minimize your points for actually ending a match soon as killer. If you complete stomp fest you get almost 0 chase category points.

Adding a point incentive would sadly not do anything : \

  • The stats have its ups and downs

Currently today I managed to get 8 escapes in a row somehow. Its lucky based on teammates and a bit of skill but my overall doesnt even have my correct hours either so im not sure how accurate overall will mean.

Like these dont match at all

Best I can do, really up to what you get for teammates.

Last night though jesus… I stepped away after it was just Kaneki camp after blight camp back to back it just wears on you.

Keep in mind escape rate =/= win rate

And people do all sorts of stuff to inflate their escape rate, like bringing a key, crouching in the corner, interacting never with the killer and being stealth… etc…

Plague’s decision making boils down entirely to if you even want to bother exercising the effort in Infecting something to begin with, that is it, that is all her Macro-play is, her gameplan is entirely centered around spreading her infection to everything and then fully Infecting someone once you see them, there is no strategy, there is barely any Macro, it is entirely chase-oriented

Myers is also, once again, entirely Micro, just because he sometimes might not want to Stalk someone immediately does not change that his entire power is “make Chase better”,

PWYF and perks in general have minimal baring in this discussion about Killer powers so no idea why you’d bring that up

I also never said that Macro is how you lose in DBD, what I actually said was that the player-base doesn’t like it and most of the killers who rely on Macro are weak, which they are with minimal exception.

Fundamentally broken or not, Nurse Kaneki and Blight all only care about chases, ergo, they’re entirely reliant on Micro

Artist cares about Macro because she has to consider where Survivors are going to go and where lockers are, as well as how many Crows she wants to place down in order to manage the subsequent cooldown, her Crows are substantially weaker if you aren’t at least passable at predicting Survivor movement or try to hit people in areas with lockers.

Plague’s decision making boils down entirely to if you even want to bother exercising the effort in Infecting something to begin with, that is it, that is all her Macro-play is,

If that was the case then just recklessly take your red puke at the start of the match and you lose. You have to know when to take it and have a bigger plan for it (macro) you dont just flip a switch and go "its red power time". Or if you have multiple of it, due to survivor interaction or bringing apples, when to grab one.

"Bother infecting" is a weird way to say something about her. Im not sure what plague ever would not "bother" to infect anyone. If you dont run addons for it, you cant keep disease on objects even remotely long enough to keep survivors from touching them. Puking only on objects and relying on that, is a certain playstyle based on add-ons. And is still macro in the end.

The only way you could without duration addons is if … you had a grand plan to 3 gen them. Which is … also macro play.

Myers is also, once again, entirely Micro, just because he sometimes might not want to Stalk someone immediately does not change that his entire power is “make Chase better”,

Meyers is a macro killer. You dont make everything about chase if you cant even chase or use your power to begin with. He has setup (macro) time before he can even do anything. And you have to manage your Evil Within III once you have it, you dont just use it get a down and thats it. Thats how you waste your TIII. You also have to decide when and where to use it.

PWYF and perks in general have minimal baring in this discussion about Killer powers so no idea why you’d bring that up

Perks you should take into consideration. And add-ons honestly. We dont face these killers in a vacuum. You are talking about the strength and weakness of killers in your underlying message.
    Micro= strong
    Macro= weak

Well if you ignore addons and perks then Meyers quickly becomes weak, but you say hes micro? I thought micro was stronger?

If you want to highlight what killers are strong/weak based on their micro/macro, IGNORING addons/perks then none of this list would even make sense.

Artist cares about Macro because she has to consider where Survivors are going to go and where lockers are, as well as how many Crows she wants to place down in order to manage the subsequent cooldown

Artist is macro because where survivors are going and where lockers are? What?
How many crows to place down(resource management your list is now a mess)?

I play artist and you dont have to worry about where lockers are. Thats something a survivor has to know if they have the distance between a crow on them or not. There is no grand plan around lockers for Artist, if you are far away enough its a counterplay, if you are close youll just get grabbed.

Lockers are moment to moment play, there is no Artist player out there who is keeping track of lockers stop it.

“where’s the survivor, aim, shoot, chase.” Thats it thats her kit. Thats her play.

Personal play outside of that like "worrying about where lockers are" go ahead and link me any artist, even professional tournament one. Noone worries about where they are when placing crows.

Fundamentally broken or not, Nurse Kaneki and Blight all only care about chases, ergo, they’re entirely reliant on Micro

Putting your emphasis on micro and macro is my problem when defining the strength of these killers. Thats what I disagree with, Nurse/Blight/Kaneki arent "strong because they are micro" they are strong because they are unbalanced. As in they cover too much distance, have little to no cooldown, ignore mechanics other killers have to do

Mechanically broken is their strength. Not "Micro" being why they are strong, they are micro played killers though.

Micro in DBD means your individual chase performance, Macro is your overall strategy for the match

Most Killers are designed to care pretty much entirely around how well they do in Chase, I.e, they’re reliant on Micro. Whereas a Killer like Trapper or Hag have to consider where they’re going to set up their power to get value, I.E, Macro.

Plague is almost entirely dependant on Micro, her power has some use outside of chases but ultimately you either vomit on someone until they’re Broken or they cleanse and give you a power that can do actual damage, there’s minimal Macro and what Macro there is is pretty passive and entirely in the hands of Survivors being dumb and doing the one thing they should never do against a Plague.

As for Myers, he is entirely Micro, his power is dedicated to nothing but making his chases quicker through Exposed, the only reason he wasn’t in Micro Heavy is because you have to sometimes consider when to Stalk and who you’re Stalking instead of just stalking the first person you see every chance you get

Then yea this list needs refinement.

No. Plague you have to know what to do with power and when to take a red fountain, thats her macro. Where and who to chase, what to disease, keep disease up etc… this isnt micro. This is all macro and setup.

If you play plague "all about chase" and ignore these things you are just straight out weaker. Youll take red fountain, brain off and make it all about chase, and most likely lose breaking a bunch of pallets and not having another fountain to use.

Can probably get away with playing her like that if you are facing new survivors no doubt.

Meyers again, cant even be micro. His setup alone is all macro. You cant even chase until you have tiered up and its not like TII meyers is killing people left and right. Its TIII.
Not to mention his easily most popular perk picked is play with your food. An entirely macro play based perk. So meyers is not micro in the slightest.

I disagree with your whole idea that macro is a way to lose or is where weak/strong killers are. Nurse/Blight/Kanakei are strong because balance wise they are just fundamentally broken, not really anything to do with micro or macro.

I dont see how you think Artist is macro either. She has no setup, nothing really long game wise outside of personal strategy. She plays the same as Unknown but with no teleport(macro) so youd swap these two on your list places. As you can strategically setup unknowns teleport. You cant really do anything with crows for macro game its "all about chase" with her.

  • Can you maybe restate what you mean a bit more concise? What does this list represent?

Killers you think are micro and macro? Or how you play against them? Both?

Micro and your definition of it describes almost the opposite of what Plague is but you listed her in micro leaning.

Meyers cant even be micro he has to tier up as well. Hes 100% a macro killer

Then this only got changed quite recently. Because when the discussion came up a few weeks ago, users on the Forums confirmed that the issue I mentioned existed. And it also made sense, because there was not really anything which led to the Killrates dropping that hard.

It was only the first iteration of surrender having that problem, the devs quickly changed it to a loss not a draw. It didnt last long so it wouldnt have much an effect on the stats.

  • Just remember escape rate is not win rate.

I dont think escape rate ever gets to 10% for someone though. They are clear outliers if thats the case.

Nightlight stats for Killrates are currently not useable. They count abandoned Survivors as escaped (since it shows the Escape Icon). So if a Killer slugs for the 4K and downs the last Survivor and the two remaining Survivors abandon, for nightlight it is a 2K, even if it is a 4K because the Killer will hook the two Bots which are left behind. If the last Survivor abandons when getting downed, nightlight coutns it as a 3K, even if it is a 4K because the last Survivor gets morid.

If the Killer slugs 4 Survivors from the beginning and hooks them afterwards, but all of them abandoned, nightlight counts it as a 0K while it is a 4K.

You get the picture, Killrate stats on nightlight are currently not really worth anything.

Someone on the Forums made the test and nightlight counts abandons as escapes.

The official DBD stats count it as Kills. If you have a match with abandoned players in your stats, it will show the Survivors as escaped, but the result will be the correct one (e.g. Merciless Killer with a 4K, even if two are shown as escaped).

    No.

When you abandon as survivor and you are slugged or on the hook it shows a kill. You are mistaken

it's annoying but easy to match against. Thr players who use it on the other hand, usually camp and 100% of the times tunnel hardcorez even at 5 gens

Yea all they do in my matches is go in the door to fake going somewhere and then undetectable camp the hook.

No idea why we have to give killers 4 different things. Huntress doesnt get undetectable or a teleport, has to actually hit you afterwards too cant grab you after a hatchet, and she does just fine. And she even HAS something telling you shes comming (lulaby).

I think the entire design of him is just kind of a failure. Making him basically huntress but just better.

    They've done this before.
    Artist(RIP) and Unknown.

Hopefully some tuning happens to him because he is currently just getting too much. Id remove his teleport/door mechanic entirely you cant even use the cameras in 99.99999% situations. It has to be a complete outdoor map, and even if you use one, you are just another survivor not doing generators swapping between cameras hoping to help someone in chase that wont last long.

  • Entire killer is pretty P2W from what I can tell.

why shouldnt a better player win most of their games? why shouldnt a better player win almost all of their games when matchmaking is utterly useless at accurately determining the skill of the survivors and continuously puts them against much better killers?

i never understood the mindset of people like you. instead of advocating for more functional/fair mmr aka equality of opportunity, you're advocating for equality of outcome. what is fun in winning against a person handicapped to a capacity of a bot?

I dont know I never said anything about that.

I also never said anything about this either. Or advocated for …. anything my response.

11k hours says otherwise. Hes a hit and run killer with mobility and a slightly better chase than M1 killers.

Slightly better chase than m1 killers.

    LMFAO!

Guys hes only slightly better in chase than trapper. 100%

  • He says medkit teams are uncounterable now, unless you 12 hook and play an s tier killer. At 4:00

Okay Jund good one. Totally not true at all, way to overblow whatever idea you had into crazy hyperbole and nonsense.

And then he goes off on commodious toolboxes in the next 10 seconds? Jund, survivors cant carry more than 1 item. I thought we were whining about the healing meta and the world is collapsing without franklins, but its actually not now the healing meta but the commodius toolbox meta…

Okay. This video is too hard to watch with how inconsistent he is in the opening minutes alone.

  • 10 seconds in and he says significantly harder for killer.

Yea well maybe winning 90% of your games 6+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week, on stream, is something you should realize when listening to players like this.

  • if you tried to make the game 3v1 as fast as possible, disregarding everything in the process.

    No other definition.

And ur the most entitled Survivor main I've ever seen that only cares what happens to the survivors side.

    yikes

  • Dont bother playing this mode as survivor.

Only fun or reasonable with comms. Waste of time otherwise.

  • never heard of it or about it. Sounds like something that probably doesnt need more attention given to it if its so bad.

  • Kaneki is such a joke to face. Takes no skill to learn, no skill to play, and they all end up playing the same in the end highlighting how skill-less they are by camping and tunneling with him.

No cooldown, too much distance, free hit

    Its a joke.

  • Not much to be honest. Its a loss.

I got insanely lucky yesterday with a juicer Jill of a teammate and I actually got 3 gens done against a huntress on springwood.

She saved her styptic til the end and got great distance for a LONG chase, eventually she got on hook at the end.

Huntress was running her iri one shot addon and tunneled/camped out 2 survivors stupid fast.

One survivor barely got like 2k points it was so sad to watch, completely unnecessary play.

But she whiffed here at the end with her iri hatchet and we got out 😂
    3 gens and a 2v1 I bagged HARD.

    Justice.

    Remove: Kaneki

Wraith is an m1 killer who can counter hold w and body block you at many loops.

The only thing that makes an m1 killer an m1 killer is whether their power can down you and Kaneki's can't. He has to m1 you. Which means he is loopable.

    Yikes
