The hatch doesn’t suck for survivors mate.
Yeah it does.
-
Trapper is less about perks, and more about trap placement, and strategy.
Ruin is an absolute must. Trapper is really weak without it. Make sure you trap your hex totem, but don't over do it. Two traps max.
Everything else depends on your skill level, and preferences.

Enjoying both sides doesn’t negate any possible bias and your bias is clearly in the favor of killers, just like mine is slightly in favor of survivors.
No. The hatch sucks for the survivor also. It favors both equally. I don't claim to have all the answers of how end game would need to be completely reworked to to keep the hatch closed on the last survivor, but I do know I shouldn't win after I've lost.

Just don't grab them out of a locker 4head
That's right. You should escort them to the next gen, and apologize for chasing the survivor into the locker.

swf is strong I get that but if the devs did increase gen time solo survivors will suffer even more then they already are and the devs already tried a second objective in the hallowed blight event the killers in that time combine the flowers and ruin and they were getting 4k left and right
They where getting 4k left, and right because people weren't playing for gens, or to win. they just wanted to get nectar for cosmetics.
-
The solution is gen parts scattered around the map. you need to find one, and install it into the gen you want to repair. A gen can not be repaired unless a part has been installed.
This makes things fair for the killer, gives survivors another objective, and introduces another layer of strategy.

First of all, Pig isn't low tier and Huntress isn't top 3 anymore.
Second, you can gen rush even strong killers, as Depip Squad demonstrated.
Pig isn't low tier? How does that logic work?

Before anybody loses their crap over the director of Jeepers creepers being a pedo, please remember Jeepers creepers was a 1938 book, and the devs can use that source material to create the jeepers creepers monster from the movie without actually saying it's the movie monster.
Also, the director most likely doesn't have the license anymore. Though I don't actually know for sure.
With that being said, yes. Jeepers creepers would be an excellent addition to DBD. I hope the devs consider it in the future.

Because it's over. You're done. GG.

If they can take the concept and keep the pedophile from getting any money then I support it. Being offended by someone who is a pedophile isn't "being one of those guys who is offended by everything". It's being against adults who sexually assault children.
And why does it matter if he gets money for a license he may, or may not have? How exactly does him getting money from you=agreeing with, or supporting his terrible actions?
-
Predator. A predator hunting human game is noticed, kidnaped, and brainwashed by the entity.
-
Rank reset is good. It gives bad survivors a chance to learn from good survivors.
-
Killers must never come within 50 meters of a hooked survivor. After they are rescued the killer must patiently wait 30 seconds facing a wall before they can resume their patrol.
Failure to follow these rule makes the offending killer a camper, and they're immediately banned for life.

Sorry, most likely will never happen.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/686/HCUDGIPSTPFG.png
The devs most likely wouldn't want to give him even a penny. plus, fans would be out ragged by this as he gets money, probably not deserved in most eyes.
Don't be one of those guys. One of those people offended by everything, and anything. It's old. It's so old. (I'm not saying you are one of those guys)
I hope the devs are smarter than that.
Also. DBD doesn't need Victors permission. Jeepers creepers is a 1938 book filled with tons of source material. They can basically copy how the monster visually looks in the movie (or really close), because the book covers it in details. They can ask for book rights which Victor definitely has no claim to, if he even has the movie license in the first place; which i don't think he does anymore.
-
I want jeepers creepers. Than I will be satisfied. Demogordan Is a welcome change though.
-
That's a you problem. Learn when it's safe to vault. You where hit. You should have gotten hit.
-
Lol. If you want balance DBD isn't the game for you. It really sucks, but it's just how it is. All you can do is accept it, and move on.
-
Making a new survivor must be pretty easy for the devs. New audio, and skin is All a new survivor really is visually.
Perks on the other hand are a little different. I don't expect 6 new survivor perks. I would assume both survivors are going to have the same exact 3 perks.
It's Most likely going to be the same price as the other licensed killers imo.

Good point.
at least with myers you can roleplay with an instant mori without using hooks.

Anybody else think it's going to look wrong seeing a demogordan hooking victims instead of ripping them apart? Not just visually, but also based on it's behavior in stranger things.

As it stands now, NOED is entirely unbalanced in the Killer's favor. They get a movement speed boost and permanent Insta-down attacks if the totem is never found. NOED has recently been popping up in every survivor match I play, along with an ebony mori. This combination makes it impossible for survivors to escape if they find themselves in a chase unless they're one sneaky Nea or Claudette, or if they happen across the hatch. The perk is even appearing in high rank games I'm in such as a Freddy I went against yesterday with top tier NOED and an Ivory Mori. He was rank 7. Games like this show that certain perks are completely unbalanced and that killers don't want to have a fun time playing and learn how to mindgame survivors. Instead they want the game to be on a sort of easy mode. I personally see this as a pathetic attempt at a win.
As it stands right now, NOED doesn't need a buff or nerf; it needs a complete rework.
A killer with NOED is playing with a worthless perk slot until the last gen is done. The killer is playing with a handicap. If you see a dull totem break it. Don't ever walk past a dull totem.
If NOED activates you've got about 2 million things you can hide behind when the killer is close by. Us deliverance, dead hard, borrowed time etc. Throw a pebble, 360 the killer, Protect the guy opening the exit gates, Look for the hex totem. You've got options.

Lol #########? Do you really think SWF teams play like this? No wonder everyones perception of SWF is so warped when you think people are communicating about gen tapping, heck if you're kicking a gen multiple times infront of people you're probably just bad.
Killer - Kicks Gen
Survivor - Taps Gen
Killer - ???? Kicks Gen Again
Survivor - Taps Gen
Killer - ??? Kicks Gen Again
Survivor - ???? lmao this guy spending half the game kicking the same gen
A M1 killer can not chase a survivor with a gen at 80%. It will be repaired. The killer hits one survivor, and they run a mile away. If the killer chases the other 3 will fix the gen behind his back. It doesn't require coms.
This is when gen tapping happens mostly. The M1 killer can't leave that gen. Can't chase, and can't regress the gen.
Maybe you don't play much killer, and haven't seen this yet. It's not common. You need to put considerable hours into playing m1 killers to encounter it.
Hilbilly, Nurse, myers, huntress etc obviously don't suffer when survivors do this strategy.
Pig, Clown, old Freddy, wraith, etc are effected when survivors us the strategy.
It's a matter of perspective. It's an annoying tactic that's rarely used, and can be op in certain situations.

I'd have to disagree with you, for your reasoning. Three gens being done in sixty seconds just makes sense, one person distracts and three people do gens if the chase goes on for that period of time, thats just the survivors doing the objectives efficiently. Coldwind farm is a large map, if multipul survivors do one gen they will very likely get it done before you cross the map, that's just the dynamic of the map. These are expected features of the game, they abide the logic and are encouraged.
But on the other hand I do with that the games went on a little bit longer, maybe 5 or so seconds onto eatch gen or something, just to make the game a little more interactive. You can always run perks to try to slow the game down if you are having the issue of the gens being done to fast, that's why they are there. (Not trying to be rude, not targeting you.) Or simple just get better at killer, as your job is apply pressure.
You don't necessarily need to be chasing a survivor for 60 seconds. It might take you 20, or 30 seconds to find a survivor in the beginning. But I totally expect survivors to do things efficiently. I don't mind that survivors do it. I do it myself. But I'm not biased. I know what it's like on the low-mid tier killer side also. I'm willing to admit that it's a little insane how fast gens can get repaired. You can't say it's not insane. How could you look ate the pop times, and say otherwise?
I know very few people will agree with me because the majority are scared to death of change. Even if that change is good for the game balance imo.
-
Exactly right. Gens do get done too fast though. I totally expect it, and deal with it well, but gens get done too fast. On the farm map I've seen a gen go off before I could even cross the map. As a survivor I've seen 3 gens pop simultaneously in 60 seconds. (Red ranks)
I think survivors should need to find a generator part, and install it on the gen they want to do. Make it so a gen cannot be worked on unless a part has been installed. That would make the game extremely well balanced, and slooooooooooow things down a little.
-
Leather face is really weak imo. OP might not think he needs a buff, but I do.

It still needs to be looked at. Survivors should not be stopping a Regression in 1/60th of a second if it takes Killers 2 seconds to kick it.
This is not intended. This is a clear oversight. it has to be. I can't believe Devs saw Survivors frame-cancelling repair animations and went 'This seems fine'.
Agreed. The devs need to address this obvious issue. And their response can't be "it's by design, and it will not change" if they want people to respect them.
-
@MegsAreEvil said:
NOED is a design failure. It needs to get changed to a perk rewarding the killer for doing well instead of failing. But most people wont accept any changes cause theyre biased.
Ok then. The hatch should be removed. It rewards failure.
End game strategy is a thing.
-
Do dull totems. I can't tell you how many times a killer running NOED has hit me at the exit gate only to find I've broken all the totems. Do dull totems. NOED is a wasted perk if you do dull totems.
-
There was one toxic survivor teabagging a leather face for the whole match generally being a toxic troll.
So I waved leather face over, and pointed at the toxic David. I then bodyblocked the toxic David so leather face could down him. We camped him together. Me teabagging him, while leather face celebrated with his chainsaw. We both bodyblocked the hook preventing any possible save. Lots of salty hate text.
It was glorious. 10/10 would do again. Only to deserving teammates of course. :)

It's not an issue though, certainly not something that should be "fixed" by giving all killers overcharge by default.
If you're chasing someone and they tap a gen, they'll stop for a moment, it'll give you more time to gain ground, if you kick the gen several times when the survivor is there, then unfortunately you're a terrible killer and need to learn what to prioritise.
To often I see killers break chase to kick a 10% gen, some people are just bad, this is not a change that is needed at all.
I tap gens. My teammates swarm that gen like fruit flies on a peach. Killer is screwed 100% of the time. That gen I just tapped is getting finished no matter what the killer does. The only way the killer can stop it is if he stands next to the gen so it can regress which isn't an option for obvious reasons. And even then the survivors can protect the guy with the tool box. That gen is getting finished.
This makes overcharge, pop goes the weasel, STBFL, and surveillance absolutely necessary with gen tappers. And even than it can be a nightmare. Unfortunately a killer can't go to the basement to switch out perks mid-game. Unless you expect killers to predict the future.
It's also a horrible experience for a killer. Absolutely helpless while survivors flashlight click, and teabage all around you trying to get you to chase them so the gen can be finished. I've been on both sides of this experience, and let me tell you I feel no pressure, or challenge while doing this to a killer. It is a joke.
So I respectfully disagree.
-
The solution is giving all killers overcharge as part of their base power instead of it being a perk.

Killers: "why isn't dc punished more?"
Also killers: "face camping is a legit strategy."
I play both sides, and face camping if a legit strategy in some situations. And if the killer is camping you, and throwing the game just to kill you oh well. Suck it up. It's not toxic. It's a killer killing you because killers kill.
If you're one of those guys that DC just because the killer kills you as fast as possible by face camping than you're part of the problem.
It's Your fault you're on the hook in the first place. You made a mistake. Be angry at yourself if you're going to be angry.

Umm...no. Did you even read my comment? It doesn't matter if the killer tunnels or not. I do deal with DS. That doesn't mean I can't recognize it's flaws.
Blood warden, thanatopia, BBQ, and spirit furry doesn't hold the survivor in place so the killer can get a free hook. That would be the killer equivalent to DS.

It's supposed to be a free bail out for 60 seconds. If you can't deal with that the solution is to ignore the person with ds and go for someone else until the DS is over.
The equivalent of spoiled kid running to his mother pointing, and saying "That guy doesn't play the game the way I want him to. Make him leave me alone during tag mommy. I can't out run him, and it isn't fair".
And half the time it doesn't even matter if you leave them alone anyway. Survivors using DS usually suck so you end up finding them again while going after other Survivors. Then pick them up thinking it's been 60 seconds, and getting stuned anyway.
It should only be 30 seconds max.
-
@SkeletalElite said:
60 seconds really isn't that long of a time if you chase them again in 60 seconds slugging is the best thing to do.
You can't slug them because they just go into a locker. So you either stand there like an idiot counting to 60 while a gen gets done, or you leave the locker giving the survivor a free bail out. DS completely screws the killer. Make it 20, or 30 seconds. An entire minute is absolute overkill.

Roughly 5 out of 10 matches I'm matched with greens.
-
And how about red rank matchmaking with green ranks? Spawns, and matchmaking have always been a little weird in this game. One time I looped a rank 13 killer for three gens before I just messaged him, and told him to get someone else because I was obviously ranked higher. It happens a lot with me.
And many times the purple shroud doesn't work.

Umm what? What other possible context could your post have? Lol. You can’t be serious. You literally said are people salty over NOED that they want to destroy all hex perks. Absolutely nothing said afterwards or in further posts makes it sound like that wasn’t the exact context. Sorry but calling you out for BS doesn’t make me toxic.
All I see is you complaining about gens, and it took about 30 seconds to find you talking about using NOED/Bloodwarden in another thread. But yes I’m so toxic and took everything out of context lol.
I don't us NOED much. And you didn't call me out on anything except a little contradiction in my wording. And surprise, surprise you also took that out of context. I clearly said I use NOED as a friendly killer that opens the exit gates for survivors. How the heck does that translate to me relying on NOED?
My post had nothing to do with me relying on NOED. Your assumptions about me aren't appreciated. And yes. Making assumptions, and taking me out of context (Twice now) is in fact a toxic way to conduct yourself. A sarcastic remark, and a "lol" doesn't change that.
NOED is the main reason why survivors want a totem counter. So I mentioned it. I was talking from a survivor perspective when I said totems are easy to break, and find already. adding a counter Is easy mode for totem hunting survivors. NOED is easy to counter already.
If you really suck at finding totems use a map. Not knowing how many totems are left is a balance mechanism. Otherwise survivors will just hunt down all totems relentlessly until their all gone. Destroying all hex perks except haunted grounds. Survivors might also be looking for a totem that doesn't exist (Even with SWF) giving the killer some time.

Map control is a vital part of playing killer. Knowing what generators, pallets, hooks are gone is pretty important. A killer who runs NOED could identify a totem beside generators away from large loops he wants to protect.
If you start following some of these tips maybe you won't be complaining about "genrushing".
Any killer worth their salt knows gens get done way, way, way, way too fast. It really is a problem.
