Are people really so salty over NOED they want to destroy all hex perks?
It's already easy to break totems. You guys want it super saiyan easy? Would you also like some chocolate cookies on that silver platter?
-
No.
-
I love acting friendly making everyone off guard. Then I open the exit gates myself with NOED, and keep everyone from escaping with blood warden.

@Speshul_Kitten said:
@Chickenchaser sorry but I have to say that is terrible advice. Not getting caught is not a solution to this problem.
yeah I meant that second suggestion towards someone else.
You're right. Survivors should get 55 chances before the killer is allowed to mori. Because for some reason not getting caught is asking too much. /s
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:
@Chickenchaser can you tell us how to not get caught when a killer brings in a Eboni? Also, how would changing insta heals to what you suggest help balance mori’s at all?
The same exact way you don't get caught when a killer doesn't bring an Eboni.
Also I didn't suggest a change in insta-heals.
-
A totem counter in any capacity is a bad, bad idea. Just do dull totems. if you missed one just escape, or find the hex totem. NOED isn't OP.
-
He is an m1 killer with a normal lunge, and you can completely avoid his powers by staying awake.

The devs have never said this..and also..did you really need to come here just to be a downer? I mean come on dude chill
Sorry.
-
I always thought the perk existed so killers could try it a few times then say "wow! this perk is absolute garbage. Is that the devs trolling killers with a useless perk for a laugh?", and then proceed to never use it again avoiding it like it's cancer in the Blood web.
-
Established killers will never have new moris.
-
I'm gonna say no on that one. moris are fine as is. Just don't get caught after you're hooked. Have at least 3 gens going at all times, etc.
insta-heals are a one off that killers can beat. Insta-heals are more frustrating than OP.

People all over the place crying nerf for nurse and you're asking exactly for a Nurse.
The thing is, people don't want their looping meta shaken.
I agree with you, in the sense that there should be a lot of different playstyles available.
That's exactly why the looping meta should be shaken. Just a little bit.
Nurse has been strong forever with zero issues. With people complaining forever. I wish people would just learn how to play against her.

You main Leatherface? Isn't he really weak?
-
The Nascar simulator analogy really hit home. Looping is ok I guess, but all pallets should be in linear narrow passageways to discourage looping all the time. Increase the pallets stun time so the survivor can get away.
Also survivors should have a stamina system they need to manage. This constant running all over heck is ridiculous.
-
It's evolved into something beautiful. If you don't like it, don't click on it. nobody is forcing you to read this thread.
-
The entitlement is strong with this one. Lol.
Just take the defeat, and move on. The killer is a killer. It's their job to kill you.
Sure a killer might decide to be nice, but you shouldn't expect it. Maybe they just want to kill you fast instead of spending a long time in a boring match farming.
-
What have I done? I hope the devs are still reading all of this. Lol.
-
I was thinking about this rework.
Legion looks just like a survivor. Impossible to tell him apart from your team visually. Make him look just like one of the survivors, and even copy the username.
He can teabage, flashlight click, and work on gens with other survivors. He even runs, grunts, and vaults the same way. He can't attack while he's pretending to be a survivor.
Every gen that's finished the survivors legion has been close to become exposed for 20 seconds. Allowing legion to do a surprise attack. The buddy you trusted while doing gens with you just hooked you.
Legion can pretend to work on a gen with other survivors, but he's secretly making it slower. If the gen gets to 50% the survivors working on that gen with legion become exposed. You'd have survivors stopping at 49% looking at each other suspiciously. Lol.
He can look thru a chest just like a survivor, but he halfs the items durability when he finishes searching.
He can hide in a locker just like a survivor, and burst out injuring any nearby survivor.
Frenzy Is removed. He becomes a M1 killer that can mess with your head, and scare you to death when your friend turns out to be the killer.
-
It's not just you.

@Chickenchaser Dead Hard is broken(and I don't see how a one time use dodge is two chances. It's one), it doesn't work correctly, Borrowed Time requires a teammate to have it, and you were the one that called it camping(which it is TBH, and you were the one that complained about DS calling it pathetic, when it is actually used to counter pathetic campers, as I countered your argument with).
The only reason DS exists is to counter it, and your idiot teammates for unhooking you while the killer is nearby, because it doesn't rely on anyone else. There's nothing pathetic about it. You made the topic into DS, I explained why DS wasn't "pathetic" as you said it was, and you started calling camping "smart". I don't know why you're laughing when it was you who started the conversation.
If I'm freshly unhooked, the killer only needs to hit me once. I need Decisive Strike because he's sitting there waiting for me to be unhooked so he can put me in second stage the second I'm off if my teammate doesn't have BT, which they usually don't. If I could give myself BTs effect I would, but I can't, thus, DS. And again, I don't HAVE DS unlocked as a teachable. I said I've seen SEVERAL times where DS would have been my only way of survival due to a killer being a dick and my teammates not rushing gens and instead coming to try to unhook me.
Oh and no one can "win" a chase unless the killer gives up. Eventually they will go down, especially if they're already injured and the killer is right there waiting for them.
@drkiwie No, it was a DS thread after this guy started complaining about it and calling it pathetic. I just explained why DS isn't pathetic and has a legitimate reason for existing. I suppose you could consider it a camping thread now though also since he started talking about how camping was "smart".
A killer waiting/camping outside of the terror radius to lure survivors in is not camping close enough to hit you the second you get off the hook. Giving you plenty of time to start getting distance. If the killer is face camping one survivor can body block while the other one saves. Or they can use borrowed Time. Or they can distract with flashlight blinding. There's several effective ways to get a save with a face camper.
If you've got a team of mouth breathers, and the killer is taking advantage of that it makes the killer smart. Camping is smart only if survivors are falling for it. It's not pathetic. You know better. you can make that distinction yourself.
I don't care if you use decisive strike. I just said that I don't feel comfortable using such a cheap perk. I've already said pathetic was the wrong word. Go ahead and keep your crutch. that's what it's there for. Players just like you.
Two chances with dead hard. dead hard=1st chance. Running around injured=second chance. 1+1=2. Add borrowed Time for +1. 1+1+1=3. With only dead hard it's just like any other normal chase. the killer must hit you twice. Dead hard isn't broken. You have to know what you're doing. Again You know better. Dead hard isn't a "bail out" you don't get 60 seconds of immunity with dead hard. 60 seconds. 60....Seconds. That's a total bail out.
I win chases all the time. I see other survivors win chases all the time. I truly feel sorry for you if you think no one wins chases.
And read the thread again. I didn't bring up camping. All I did was casually mention how I didn't like the perk. That's why I find this funny.
-
@drkiwie said:
Lmao, so this has now turned into a camping thread? *Face palm*
Isn't It great? LOL.

@Atrushan88 said:
@Chickenchaser If I'm on a hook and the killer was ALREADY camping right outside his terror radius, he wasn't taking advantage of a misplay, he was creating one. The fact that he's relying on overly altruistic survivors for an easy win(and it is easy if you're camping and have overly altruistic survivors), it is pathetic.
Can you win a chase? Because If you can you've got nothing to complain about. Dead hard gives you two chances for your chase after you're saved. Borrowed Time gives you three chances if you've got dead hard. You're telling me the killer has to hit you three times, and you still need decisive strike to bail you out?
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Chickenchaser If you call doing something you already are doing exploiting mistakes. They're both idiots if you ask me, but yeah, I wouldn't call it pathetic(the campers are the pathetic ones).
Why would you think that? If you make it so camping is beneficial to the killer you've got no one to blame but your team. you want killers to throw away a game Just so survivors can get free saves all day? And if killers take advantage of bad play they are pathetic? do some gens for gods sake. If you're the one getting camped tough luck. Maybe next time you'll have a better team.
-
You're going to see a lot of stupid crap as a killer main. try to enjoy it, and never show mercy unless it's an adorable baby dwight. Baby dwight always gets a pass in my games.
-
I escaped with everyone 8 times out of 10 tonight with the killer using NOED.
Cleanse totems.
-
You've Got my vote. Teleporting doesn't sound like chuckys style though.
And he'd have to be the old 80's-90's chucky for me to care about it.
He'd need a way to sacrifice people without hooks though. He's too short.
-
Absolutely not. You should be able to break a chase on the preschool map without bloodlust ever activating. The killer might not have lost you, but the chase requirment for bloodlust drops easily. What are you doing? Are you camping palletes, or something? Lol.
-
@Atrushan88 said:
@Chickenchaser You're not understanding. It's not me who's being outsmarted. It's my teammates. They're idiots who don't understand how to counter camping, DS counters my idiot teammates and the idiot killer who's trying to take advantage of that.
Sounds like a smart killer to me. recognizing the survivors mistakes, and exploiting it sounds like a smart killer indeed. Anyway you do you. If you need DS you need DS.

@Chickenchaser Um...I've had plenty of killers bring MYC, wait just outside of terror radius, wait until someone pulls me off the hook, and then come running, hit the MYC and then me(or just wait outside of terror radius until I get unhooked to come hit me again). DS is not "pathetic". It has it's uses, and honestly this has happened enough times to where I finally decided to start leveling Laurie.
Which is more pathetic? DS or that killer who is wanting an easier win?
As for Ash, I've rarely seen him. When I do he's always the one trying to egg the killer on and usually pays for it, like someone else said though.
An easier win? You just gave out the play book on how to lose as a killer. That's just advanced camping. Don't let the killer outsmart you like that.

It got reworked, not buffed. Exactly, DS is only active for 60 seconds after getting unhooked, it is in no way a “buff”. Honestly, nobody is “pathetic” for using a perk in the game. XD
You're right pathetic is the wrong word.
Also why exactly can't a rework be considered a buff? If It's stronger than the older version? You saying Freddy wasn't buffed?
-
The Nerf on trapper preventing him from putting a trap under a hooked survivor.
Disarming before a save, or getting the person out of the trap wasn't hard, and it gave trapper a intimidation factor he sorely lacks today.

I'm glad MOM is dead. It was an incredibly BS perk. Same reason i'll never use decisive strike. it just makes me feel dirty. Why do people think decisive strike was nerfed? That's a buff people. Complete Immunity for 60 seconds after an unhook. How pathetic do you have to be yo use that perk? and now people are abusing it with lockers.
I don't personally play ash because he doesn't have his boomstick, or chainsaw.
-
If 3, or 2 survivors are constantly hook diving camping is a great way to break up their rhythm. I also think it's perfectly acceptable to camp deserving toxic survivors.
Toxic People playing are usually very insecure about themselves. They need to be vindicated for their mistakes so they can continue lying to themselves about how great they are. When that false reality They've created for themselves is challenged by you they must desperately do everything possible to re-establish that false reality.

Would be a complete waste of time and resources as it would just annoy and confuse casual players and people that really want to tryhard could just circumvent it by lobby dodging until they get eachother as solos. Not even that hard if they are geographically and rank-wise close to eachother.
Casuals are already annoyed, and confused. No change there. And if the tryhards want to lobby dodge so they can have an unfair advantage let them. it would just make them pathetic losers. And it would spare a lot of killers from dealing with toxic SWF groups. If they dodge even one lobby that's at least one killer saved.
-
SWF should have never been added in the first place.
Lets not buff solos. lets nerf swf. Give them blindness, and a 20% gen repair penalty to make things a little less one sided.
-
Wasn't Plaque already nerfed a few times? I don't play her so i don't know. I Just read a bunch of old reddit threads about devs shadow nerfing her.
I always thought the insta heal fountains where BS. I've screwed so many plaque killers out of a hook they should have had with those insta heals.

Camping is a strategy. A bad one, but a legit strategy.
People; please stop asking for a 'nerf', 'adjustment', or 'punishment' for it. Camping exists, it sucks for both the Killer and the Survivor when you get down to it, and all you're trying to do is force a punishment on people for not playing your way. It's selfish.
Please stop.
I agree with you completely.

@RakimSockem said:
But the time it takes from being hooked to get into struggle state is less than 70 seconds. The the killer at least knows they can just camp until the person gets to struggle and then leave the hook
The seconds can be adjusted to anything.

You take on it is a variant of a mechanic that was introduced to DbD back in the day, which slowed down the rate a survivor is sacrificed if the killer was too close. It was removed, thanks to survivors exploiting it.
They put a seemingly un-exploitable complicated timer like mine in the game back in the day? How was it exploited?
-
Rank system for killers fixed in one short comment.
Killer: 4k=+2. 3k=+1. 2k=0 1k= -1. 0k= -2.
You're welcome. No need to make it complicated.

Because double standards are everywhere.

Ruin is a trash perk that I stoped using a long time ago. It needs a buff, or rework.

Since its the only mechanic Dev did create for gaining time as a survivor... I guess we ll do that forever. Or quit.
Timed surprise Pallete stuns, hiding, distractions, body blocking (While carrying), flashlights, locker stuns, firecrackers, hook sabotage, mind game, etc don't count as time savers in your world against nurse? Just don't loop. it's not a hard concept.
If looping forever, or quitting are the only options for you then you're not very bright, or you just want easy wins without having to think.

Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game and she should be nerfed, as all games nerf their strongest characters to change the meta. If the meta is always the same, the game would become boring (and it is already happening). Think about this.
Yeah. It's not like we get multiple new killers, maps, survivors, updates, and perks each year constantly challenging, and occasionally changing the Meta. So they better nerf nurse, because literary nothing else could be acceptable./s
"Meta" doesn't mean everybody. I'd say less than 30% of everybody playing DBD are actually using Nurse to her full potential with the best strategy possible at rank 1. And Even then she can lose going up against meta survivors.
Screw the meta. You act like every killer is nurse. Nurse is gangsta in the right hands. Just like a survivor with the right build is gangsta in the right hands. Change is not needed.
-
Is a Nurse rework confirmed? Because That's total bull if they're doing that.
Let's nerf the best killer in the game that can totally be beaten instead of focusing on under powered killers, and glaring map issues. /s
-
Endurance was already nerfed. And spirit fury can be countered by dropping a pallete early. I wouldn't nerf them.
