Ruin is a joke perk. it's weak. survivors power thru it like it's not even there. it's cleanesed in 10 seconds 90% of the time. Ruin is pathetic. The people saying no like ruin is some kind of god perk are really giving me a good laugh.
Realistically making ruin base would hardly put a dent in gen speed. I say no only because it's so pathetic it's not even valuable enough to be in the game without ruin getting some kind of buff.
My ideas:
- Survivors must repair six gens.
- Survivors must find, and install a gen part before they can start repairs.
- After a gen is repaired Survivors must find gas cans to fill up the gen tanks. Survivors can throw gas cans in burning barrels to cause a 16 meter explosion stunning, and blinding the killer.
- After getting a gen to 100% it does not automatically start. Survivors must pull the starter rope. each pull has a higher chance to start the gen. 5% chance on first pull, 15% on second pull, etc.
- Ruin buff. Great skill checks cause 2% regression. Normal Skill checks cause 5% regression, and a noise notification for the killer.
-
Doc does not need a buff, or a rework. How are killer mains complaining about doc being weak? It doesn't make any sense. Doc is on the upper part of the mid tier list.
-
If i see a map offering, and 3 party streamers I know there's a good chance a try-hard SWF group is about to make my butt bleed. Sometimes I nope out, and sometimes I roll the dice.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
All pvp games have rage quitting, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop people from doing it.

Yeah, I know Ruin is a bit of a noob filter in that is separates the wheat from the chaff - the good survivors don't even effing see skill checks, they just do them perfect every time - that's why Overcharge is garbage in high ranks.
I'm just saying that four perks is a good spot right now, because it lets both sides stack their deck to a certain strength withut allowing them the luxury of running every single "meta" perk at once. Four is enough - to have five for every player would simply ensure people would run more meta options with less of a drawback. Ya feel?
I feel.

Imagine four survivors running Dead Hard, DS, Borrowed Time, Adrenaline, and a flex perk.
Imagine a killer being able to run Ruin as a given, and then having their real build in 4 perks. You know we'd all run Ruin as that fifth slot.
Imagine how terrible the game would be.
I've always saw ruin as a joke perk both as a survivor, and a killer. For the most part survivors power thru it like it's not even there. Other than that slight disagreement I understand what you're saying. Probably not the best thing to do.
I'd like to see it tested in a PTB just to see what it would look like.

I know this is a joke, but gen speed really is crazy fast. Doing gens isn't toxic, but it definitely isn't balanced either.

OMG. Get ready for a world of overpowered survivor abuse my friend. You have no idea how bad it is. You'll see three gens pop in 30 seconds while insta healing survivors with sprint burst take you all over hell.

The aura reading is only while healthy, so you can still see the survivors aura in a chase until you hit them into the injured state and they'll have MoM by then so..
Ok. Then that's great.

Ok then balance sheriff.
Evil has a way of finding you
After obtaining 3 tokens from Safe hook rescues and Protection hits the perk activates
The perk will ignore a hit that would put you from injured to dying state
Whilst healthy and the perk is activated, the killer can see your aura from 32 meters away (basically as soon as the MoM users enters your TR you are provided with their aura which will also be visible during a chase to help with mindgames)
After taking the endurance hit the perk deactivates
I like the idea. OP mentioned the 32 meter detection also. Being visible while chasing sounds a little unfair to the survivor imo. I'd turn the aura off when a chase activates.
The real issue is if everyone is running MOM. Assuming you hit them all 4 times for the hook in a chase; that would be 16 hits instead of the usual 12 to get the first hook on all survivors. That's a crazy time waster which is why I thought of the mori, and exposed effect to make up for that lost time. Exposed to get people of the gen, and hiding.
My idea gives you two MOM charges. With a choice to take a risk or not on the second charge. Just don't activate the second charge if you don't want the penalty. It's a way to super buff the perk, without the killer being absolutely miserable.

Yeah, I guess after ONE survivor gets moried and everyone else gets punished is a fun perk for BOTH sides.
The way to make MoM perfect is make it be Safe Unhooks and Protection hits give you stacks and that it can be used while both healthy and injured.
Perfect fix
Your perfect fix screws the killer over. It would just cause the same amount of frustration, and anger as the original MOM did. Not fun for the killer at all. you can't have an extremely powerful perk like MOM without a con to go with the pro. comprises need to be made to balance MOM effectively.

Genius reply. You made some good points. /s

What happens if you break free from the Killer, get downed again, and then get another Trap? Does the RBT do nothing because it already ripped off the Survivor's mouth? :P
Of course not. The entity magically heals the jaw so it can be ripped off again. the entity enjoys your suffering.

Yeah ok, punish other survivors for a perk ONE survivor runs, sure buddy, whatever helps you sleep at night
Don't get your little girl panties all twisted up. I was just trying to think of a way to make the perk enjoyable for both sides.
-
Pig needs a buff for sure. My idea:
Jigsaw box skillcheck success zones are considerably smaller. Each failed skillcheck results in the process bar reseting. Two failed skillchecks injure you if you aren't already, and Three failed skillchecks put you in the dying state (in keeping with the spirit of the movie).
Survivors suffer blindness status, exhausted status, and a 30% reduced gen repair speed. You try repairing something with a killer after you, and a reverse bear trap squeezing your head blocking your field of view, and tell me you wouldn't be slowed down at all.

Getting your jaw ripped open won't kill you I guess
It wouldn't kill you immediately. The blood loss would kill you eventually. You'd definitely be in a "dying state" from it.

Wasnt a known streamer banned for sandbagging his team mate? Was a temporary ban tho, but still
Why do survivors even have collision with other survivors?
I didn't know that, but than again streamers are more likely to be targeted as an example by the devs. a scare tactic. Not something the average gamer needs to worry about.

I don't really like this concept for 2 reasons.
1 to complicate. BHVR always tries to make perks simple with one or two effect in some instances. Your suggestion is... everything putted together.
2 you are not the only one who take the risk. Unhooked, perk active, you get hit, he keep chasing, you jump in a locker and get out, another hit, he catch you because you made a mistake. Mori, 3 players left in match, the rest of your team is in high disadvantage, also 45 second of exposed.
You are killing the team as well as killing yourself, and this is not good for the game.
I do like the high risk high reward concept... but this is too much in my opinion
You're right. You'd have to come off the hook healed, with maybe a 5% speed boost.
And instead of exposed status for 45 seconds, it could be the killer seeing all the survivors auras for 7 seconds.
-
I don't understand what the devs where thinking.
Both when they introduced a game breaking perk, and when they nerfed it into nothing. And it's only nothing because survivors are too pussy to take safety hits.
My MOM Buff:
MOM becomes primed after you've been hooked once.
While injured MOM activates. You can get hit one extra time while injured. Each hit from the killer gives you the aura of all survivors, palletes, and gens. However; you cannot heal (Broken status), and you suffer exhausted status. Essentially giving the survivor 4 chances (Must be hit 4 times from a healthy state).
You may reactivate MOM only by entering a locker after the first MOM stage, but if you get greedy like that the killer can mori you if they down you. After the mori of the MOM user all other survivors are exposed for 45 seconds.
MOM has no resistance against insta down killers, or exposed status.
MOM is disabled during end game. The Killer can't mori while MOM is disabled unless They've got a perk, or offering.
MOM is disabled while working on a gen, or totem, and stays disabled 3 seconds after leaving the object. (To avoid abuse)
This makes MOM extremely powerful again with a high risk high reward factor. Survivors can have their cake, and killers can get a slice.
Just my unbiased opinion.

Not sure why your being so defensive. It Doesn't sound idiotic.
I would say removing a player from the match early is stronger and less fun for that person than someone healing though.
It's idiotic.

You had 4 survivors alive and the gates were open. Only the doctor can help you now.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/121/BXHDX77DTB0P.png
Seriously, if the gates open, you've lost. If you can pick up a few cleanup kills, good for you, but your objective is to slow down gens long enough to secure kills. The fact that these perks capitalized well on that failure, doesn't mean they need a nerf.
I am good jerk.
-
@Ashruu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/647444#Comment_647444
That's his point. You messed up by slugging 4 survivors. The fact that the gates are open and you have no kills, means you seriously got outplayed early. DS is fine. Unless you hit every single one of them the moment they got off the hook in some kind of mass Deliverance unhooking, they won't have 60 seconds to crawl since it takes time to hit and down a survivor.
And it's impossible for 4 people to Deliverance at once, so even that crazy situation is null.
I had hooked everyone three times. they all took turns jumping to the hook on the exit gate. Some of them more than 60 meters away from the gate. So there goes that theory.

@Mistikus said:
haha this suppose offend me if so you need to try harder, and dont blame a perk for your failure probably you just hooked survirvor near 99% gate and now you crying how ds is op becouse you cant tunnel survivor

Jesus Christ there is nothing wrong with these perks.
DS is easily countered by slugging, it's not hard to remember who you recently hooked unless you have short term memory loss.
Borrowed has been nerfed enough already.
Shuddup and git gud
Maybe do some reading before you comment.

I'm breaking my rule by replying further to a WAT thread, but what you just described sounds like you just didn't play very well. If four survivors are slugged and that close to crawling out an open gate, you were never going to hook all of them in time anyway.
You can crawl across half the map in 60 seconds. i'm really starting to get tired of people responding without thinking first.
-
@Rydog said:
Wat
Exit gates open. you slug 4 survivors. They've all been hooked within the last 60 seconds (on purpose). Killer watches helplessly as they all stun him one by one. Or you just wait, and let them all crawl to the escape.
-
Nice.
-
Leather face needs NOED. He's got no map control at all. His chainsaw is easily avoided, unless You're caught out in the open making him a basic M1 killer 90% of the game.
I understand why ghost face would need it to. stealth takes a lot of time, and gens do not. Once the exit gates are powered ghost face can't be sneaking around.
It's no different than a hatch being an end game crutch for bad survivors. But an end game build hilbilly with NOED, Warden, and remember me is a legit strat. It's not just for bad killers.
-
Ok.
-
LOL. No you can't get banned for being intentionally, or un-intentionally toxic.

It looks like a nurfed cannibal charge to be honest. The add ons might be interesting.

From a very angry toxic rank 1 survivor after I morid him:

And killers can hit a surv in 10 secs. That’s not fast enough for you?
What you just said doesn't make any sense at all. Completely unrelated.

@HatCreature said:
A lot of you guys don't seem to understand that every game with the Demo is a 3 Gen strat game.
Lets say 3 portals are his max--he places 1 hole at each Gen at the end and when someone is nearby he can see them with Killer Instinct. All he needs to do is go to a Gen close by and teleport, smack it and chase you down. If he doesn't get the down he leaves and waits until another hole is triggered, as long he stays near a gen he has the 3 Gen strat no matter how far the Gens are spread apart. If he has Surveillance and Killer Instinct doesn't trigger you're still screwed.
If he has a cooldown this limits Demo's power greatly but there should be add-ons and even with add-ons every game will be a 3 Gen game.
That Strategy falls apart when Survivors are destroying portals.

being survivor is more and more difficult with every new change they do. They give killers perks/addons/habilities to kill survs easily or avoid survs to do gens. They give survs perks to do anything but their objective: do gens and open doors
Survivors can finish a gen in 30 second. That's not fast enough for you?
-
Those perks sound pretty good to me. borrowed time with babysitter sounds like a good combo for my play style. And it's a great tunnel counter.
Inner strength is really powerful. A 10 second heal for a destroyed totem is awesome. It also makes the perk a soft nerf for NOED.
Comaraderie is trash.
Better together looks like an excellent perk for new players.
Fixated is a buffed urban evasion I'm going to use all the time.
Second wind with baby-sitter, and borrowed time is insanely powerful.
You got some duds, but most of these perks look pretty powerful to me.
-
Three survivor on three gens, Two survivors on two gens, one survivor on one gen with two on another, etc. It's pretty easy to beat the 3 gen strategy. especially if you've got to chase a survivor all the way across the map to get the down; which is going to happen every time.
The killer needs to chase for a hook making it impossible to defend all three gens, and get the sacrifice without the gen poping.
-
If the person doesn't like the map they DC.
IRL reasons.
Survivors that will not play against nurse, hilbilly, spirit, etc.
Lagging. Survivors Lagging, or the killer lagging.
3 gens done in 30 seconds. I see killers DC every time we manage to do that.
These are all actual reasons in my book.

Most people are fine with escaping through the hatch, you’re the only person that I’ve seen want the current hatch gone or only openable with a key.
Nice deflection. Hatch also sucks for survivor.
-
@May_Be_AFK said:
Wait? You find the hatch that often? You must be waiting for it because my hatches get closed nearly instantly. As it seems to spawn next to the last person running the killer.
After the third person is downed, and There's only 2 gens repaired I'm already hidden in a locker where I can see the killer. After he hooks I watch where he goes, and I run in the opposite direction. That strategy works well for me.
I don't sit on the hatch.

They hop into a locker to not get slugged, sorry that your boring counter to DS has a counter to it.
I'll say it again, Don't grab them out of a locker 4head, just let them be and find someone else. Or you know, could stand staring at the locker for a minute...
P.S, you wanna know how to perfectly counter DS? STOP TUNNELLING!!
You don't need to tunnel to get hit with DS. Take a chill pill.
