Snares shut down loops COMPLETELY. You are using them wrong. Start spamming those babys, their slow stacks.

Got it. I'll try spamming them.

  • What makes you think dream snares are good? They suck.

Survivors can hit a snare next to a window, and still vault thru like it's nothing.

It doesn't shut down loops very effectively. Survivors can just drop a pallete, or just hit the snare with very little penalty. (You've got to be right on top of them)

I say make the snares less noticeable, and actually hold a survivor in place for 0.2 seconds if in the terror radius, or up to 60 seconds outside the terror radius if you fail all hard skill checks to escape sooner.

But if you just changed the addons instead of the snares I'd say Z block should be changed to 20% speed reduction when hitting a snare. Cat block should make it impossible for survivors to vault for 30 seconds after hitting a snare. (Only windows)

And the unicorn block increases the survivors speed by 10% for 2 seconds when a snare is triggered. But they become injured. If they hit a trap while injured they become exhausted for 60 seconds without getting a speed boost and the normal 15% speed penalty is applied.

  • You get an A for effort.

None of that is going to happen. It's way too much change, and work.

Getting rid of solo. Buffing killers for SWF. It's not practical.

However some of your killer buff ideas should be seriously considered by the devs.

Like pigs jigsaw traps starting immediately without a gen needing to be done, and the skill check ideas are gold. Pig should have that for sure.

And Trapper having more traps with failed skill checks on the traps resulting in injury.

But you made the other killers way too OP even for even the best SWF groups.

This community will not except not being able to have the same perks judging from my short time spent reading stupid complaints over the most mundane of subjects. Like how OP NOED is, or how Freddy is OP, or calling for a nurse rework.

  • Give it time buddy. In a few months people won't be choosing Freddy so much.

It would be a much better lullaby if little girls where singing "one, two Freddys coming for you. three, four better lock the door. five, six grab your crucifix. Seven, eight gonna stay up late. nine, ten never sleep again."

I don't even think the devs would need permission for that. Just hire some Children to sing, and alter the treble to tone down the high pitched singing voices children usually have. Throw in some low key auto-tune and You've got a new lullaby. Maybe the sound of a playground in the background. The devs could even just let their family sing it.

The best part was.... The OP is new to the forums but has been playing DBD for 2 years and still didn't know using VOIP wasn't cheating.

In my defense on the outside of this community using coms really, really looks like cheating. It feels like cheating.

It's definitely an unfair advantage. Which can be easily mistaken for cheating. An honest, and understandable misconception imo.

"Yes. ban everything you don't agree with. That's how you solve problems"

the irony when you want people banned permanently just for being in discord/team speak etc what a joke.

A completely different situation, and you know that. if you're going to have a dishonest argument you should stop replying. Unlike you i'm willing to throw my ideas away. You can change my mind. I've already been convinced it's not cheating.

You'd destroy open discussion just because you don't have the self control not to click on topics you don't like? And I do think having an unfair advantage should be dealt with in a fair way. Banning people for using unauthorized third party software was just an idea I had, and in no way relates to you wanting to censor, and ban people for talking about an obviously unbalanced aspect of the game.

You completely dismissing the rest of my reply to argue in one "gotcha" moment is indicative of a weak mind. And is morally questionable. There is a difference between banning something you don't agree with, and banning something because you want to improve that something. one is selfish, the other is not. You can also agree with something, but still understand it's negative effects.

I don’t know why the devs just don’t close threads like this. Same with “ goodbye” threads. This is why these type of threads are against the rules in other games.

Make a FAQs put it on there, close the thread and ban for creating new ones. It’s pointless to even argue SWF. It’s not going anywhere. Toxic people exist on both sides. Just because you’re soloing doesn’t mean the killer will be much nicer to you.

Yes. ban everything you don't agree with. That's how you solve problems.

I don't want SWF to "go anywhere". My recommended solution might be flawed to some of you, but that doesn't mean something better can't be thought up.

The fact that you're all saying how many times you've heard other people complain about SWF should be a red flag to at least some of you. That alone should be enough to try and find a solution.

Tbaggin is the act of crouching over someone you've killed, survivors can't kill killers and they also can't tbag killers, it just has been coined tbagging when it isn't ACTUALLY tbagging, but sure, get upset all you want man, nothings going to change and survivors will just do something else that'll upset you anyway.

It's good that you can predict the future so precisely you know what the devs will do, and what my reaction would be to new toxic behavior. You wouldn't have the loto numbers by any chance?

And you explained teabaggings toxic history. Instantly throwing your argument away.

I've heard the same tired argument for as long as I've been playing. You got an official response. It's not cheating. It isn't going anywhere. It's time to stop crying about it and adapt.

Read the thread. i've acknowledged coms isn't cheating. However it is still unfair. It's fine if you want to dismiss the topic. But might I suggest you ignore these topics sense you're so bored by them? I'm new to these forums, but I've been playing DBD for 2 years at red ranks. I haven't said anything anywhere until just recently. I've adapted. That doesn't mean I can't point out unbalanced aspects of my favorite game.

Tbagging also means nothing lmao, I tbag campers for their attention, I'm certainly not saying "hahaha FU trash baby killer look at how good i am suck my D", that's all made up and in your head.

That's a direct quote from a toxic survivor i've met about his thoughts on teabagging. so it's not just from my head. and i've got more examples from more toxic survivors. So it's not like it's a one time thing from one toxic survivor.

More emotes would give you the option to use something other than a middle finger to distract the killer. Maybe a fake injury animation, or something cool. Teabagging has always been a symbol for disrespect, and toxicity in MP games. Without exception.

  • @Seanzu said:

    This is ridiculous.

"A 1.5 second cooldown on the crouch button to finally stop toxic teabagging"

"Clicking you flashlight more than two times within 0.8 seconds breaks your flashlight. Or a 0.8 second cooldown on clicking the flashlight."

Why are you getting so upset on things that have 0 effect on a games outcome, teabagging is literally wasting survivors time, they could run to another pallet faster if they just ran to it instead of tbagging behind a pallet.

Furthermore, if they "removed" tbagging, survivors would just use the beckon emote all the time & then you'd be here in a few weeks asking for them to remove the emotes as well.

The beckon emote means nothing. "come at me bro" is a lot different than "hahaha FU trash baby killer look at how good i am suck my D". Followed by a swift disconnect after you down them, or hate mail after they escape.

I want more emots. I don't think it's too much to ask for a little forced sportsmanship.

Third party programs are only at risk if they are not authorized by us. We have stated in the past that voice chat is okay to use. As a result, voice chat is not cheating.

But assuming it was, how would we enforce this? How can you prove that people aren't communicating with their phones, or by playing in the same room as one another? You would end up in a mess of finger pointing and there is absolutely no way to prove it. We would be banning people purely on speculation, and that is not something we want to do.

Looks like voice chat isn't cheating after all. I Still think it's unfair. something should be done about it. something fair for both sides. Something Reasonable, and practical.

Making survivor names insvisible in the lobby would solve swf problem a little bit because randoms would not team up, but you can't stop people from playing with friends because they would give up and play civ.

Maybe that's a good thing. Flush the toilet, and let the clean water flow in.

dude literally a 10% increase would be like 0.8 seconds faster

Almost 1 second. Yep. That's insanely fast. MIght as well make totems cleanse time 5 seconds at that point. cleanse time chould be longer, not shorter.

The devs shouldn't be balancing the game around low ranks that can't find totems.

  • @darktrix said:

I'm just waiting for them to come up with a perk that blows up a hex totem on cleanse and automatically downs the survivor cleansing it.

Figure since haunted grounds came out they would want to screw with survivors doing bones even more.

That should be a trapper add on. disarming a trap is an instant slug.

  • If you can't find totems use a map. totems Are easy to find anyway. You can already cleanse totems at lightning speed. A 10% increase would be insanity. And how is ruin OP? survivors power thru ruin like it's not even there.

    No, just no.

  • Nurse is fine as is. You can't bully nurse. and that's how all killers should be. A survivor should never feel confident enough to make fun of, or otherwise troll a blood thirsty death machine.

The skill wall keeps her in check pretty well anyway. Even the best Nurse mains make mistakes because she is difficult to use. And all it takes is one mistake for everything to fall apart on the killer. where survivors can make several mistakes, and still come out on top.

At this point anybody asking for a Nurse nerf should just be ignored imo.

  • It's rough. Haunted Ground is the only hex perk I use. Totems aren't thought out very well.
