For me playing legion is also really boring and not cool, its just whacking people over and over and over and over, outsmarting vaults can be fun sometimes, but just about everyone sees it coming. i kinda see it as the basic starter killer for people getting used to the game or just trying to be as chill as possible
-
For me, ill leave a survivor on the floor if there are others around and try and down as many people in one go as i can, as long as they stay around, mostly cuz flashlight make me sad and they crawl under the pallets like stinkers, and i dont wanna get donked.
is this considered slugging for 4k or is it ok? if the survivors dont stick around or they leave a chase ill immediately go back and pick survivors up but i dunno if slugging counts whenever you dont hook a survivor
-
For me personally, as killer boi, i generally see it as if theres someone that disconnects or gives up, i let one of the survivors live, no matter what. Disconnecting and suiciding are always reasonable, there is really no difference to just going afk, and if you dont wanna play anymore, then don't, its not a big deal.
dc/sc is almost always a detriment to the team for survivors though, and so i let the last one off with freedom just so anyone who watches knows that there was at least some sort of justification for their work. And, for 2 dc\scs, i just let the remaining two do gens, and leave, and its whatever.
the only exception is if the remainder are being especially toxic, e.g. they try and throw the fact that im not killing them for some reason other than mercy in my face, or they think they can try to loop me forever, or just refuse to do gens and leave and get it over with so i can play a compelling game, my mercy is Revoked.
(speaking of Revoked Mercy is a bomb ass name for a perk related to it they should do that)

I just made a post about this. I'm on PS4 and the inside of Garden of Joy is bright for me, but for my friend who's on PS5, it's pitch black in some places. We loaded into a custom match to test out the difference and it was insane. Especially the last pic, which was a side-by-side of his view and mine.
Check out the difference.

In my personal opinion, having fun is a choice, that you can make, or don't. If you're not having fun, frankly, that's on you. If you pit how good of a time you're having on whether or not you win, of course you're not gonna have a great time, that's not something you have objective control over, especially in a game like DBD. If you feel like garbage getting facecamped or tunneled, turn it into something you can have fun with. Loop the killer lots, dance around, i cant tell you how many times ive been playing normally and the game just shifts and i cant kill anyone because the survivors are just being such cutie patooties. Having a good time is a choice, and having a bad time is on you.

simple. remove survivors.
youre literally a genius why hasnt anyone thought of that

@C3Tooth said:
Because there are 4 survivors & 7 Gens & 5 totems, which none of them supposed to spawn close to each other.
But for a map that has 10.000m square. To make all of them (16 subjects) spawn away from each other, each of them would own 10.000 / 16 = 625m square.
The furthest possible for them to spawn spread out is 25m.
Math probably checks out, also with the fact that the devs are kind of locked into catering to survivors, especially new survivors, to make sure people understand and like the game, considering a large majority of people play survivor instead of killer.
Things will always be unfair in certain aspects for killers and survivors, the devs will almost always prefer to counter that unfairness with something else new and interesting rather than try to change the game over and over until they get it perfect. <3

That's just how it works. Stealth perks on Doc have to be worked around, some perks work better or worse with certain killers. That's part of the fun,
It's not as bad as it sounds, you can only SB once per minute, so save it a few more seconds. If you catch them at a gen using tinkerer, they're not going to have time to get out of your radius when it returns.
I generally go the opposite, I'll cover the whole map with Doc's terror radius if I can.
Edit: also don't feel bad, I once tried Insidious Doc, I was gonna hide and zap everyone. Just stood there and zapped nobody, over and over.
big cry about how tinkerer actually effects terror radius for things like star struck and apparently this i cry every time

The old moris do need a rework and I think it was mentioned it could happen someday, Trapper and Wraith have it the worst. Myers is a bit clippy looking too. It'd be cool to have them updated with like, trapper setting a trap then shoving the survivor's face into it to kill them and stomping their head with his boot. Or a mori for the wraith where he vanishes or something, the survivor looking around confused trying to figure out where he is before getting chopped in the back of the head with his cleaver as he slowly uncloaks starting from where he brained them before yanking it out of their skull.
Honestly, if the BE team added moris to the cosmetic shop where you can buy and equip different moris for killers, or set them to a random shuffle I'd pay bank for that, take my money! I'd buy new moris all day. It'd be cool to kill each survivor in a different random way or pick your favorite most brutal one and only use that.
super pog very metal ideas i love it

That's definitely a way to see that. Atm I feel more often the urge to camp and even more to tunnel because of how flawed the matchmaking is. I don't like to look up my opponents profiles in the lobby because then you go into a match with a mindset based on what you see if you now what I mean but I like to check them out after the game especially when I got stomped to death and it just isn't a nice experience no matter if your killer or survivor to go against someone above 6k hours if you are at 200. And then comes all that other stuff that many killers are so weak so you are screwed if you really like one of them like legion and that stuff like CoH is so unbelievable strong.
Is it right to let that out on the survivors? Probably not since only a minority of them are ass heads. But sometimes you just decent to that level I think we all have dark days as gamers.
What I will never get are these first down camper that do nothing the whole game. I hope bhvr succeeds in finding a good solution for the camping problem that isn't some band aid perk or just an alright punishment for killer
Yea i agree it can get really rough, but honestly if i ever feel bad enough about the game that i wanna facecamp, i just quit the match, give them a win, and go do something else for a bit to cool down. First down campers are im pretty sure the only ones that dont think first down campers are the worst lol <3

@MandyTalk sorry to bother you, but if you do end up coming all this way to see what the ruckus is all about, would you please do me (and the rest of the world) a favor and just delete all of mine and legacycolts interaction in the comments? hard agree, ive always thought that although its still a little humanoid, a being with a torso, two legs and an enormous arm where a head should be is just the most terrifying thing, but something unique like a giant spider creature or even to go so far as something that functions similarly to a hag but is actually the roots in the ground that can move around and sprout and injure survivors would be amazing to see

I feel the pain but I think that getting rid of him is going to be hard. I can give you suggestions to counter him but honestly they are only going to work for so long till he just either catches you off guard or M1s you. The facecamping is hard to counter even on SWF and impossible on solo (I see a person facecamped by buba I say a prayer for you when I'm solo). There needs to be an update that helps stop this and the fact that he can take down the saver and eat BT makes it hard to want to go get someone off the hook. Windows are you bestie against him. I do feel your pain though. Once you get better at looping him you will love the sound he makes when he gets hit by that pallet. You will crave that sound when you see bubalishs coming at you 😁 also higher tier you see him less and less because people know how to counter him to well.
quit being a stink dont shame people for existing imperfectly

Facecamping is garbage but at the same time there are good reasons to to it like if I hooked in the middle of my three Gen why on earth should I walk away or when the gates are open why should I leave and give them an unhook it's not like I have anything to do
yea and i avoid facecamping but still get campy when the doors are powered but at the same time its not cool to condemn the random survivor you got, no matter their collective progress just because its your last chance, I feel like at that point you lost the match, you blew it and you need to accept it, the difference between one kill and zero kills for me personally is absolutely not the difference between a relative loss and victory, not to mention its like 2k bloodpoints anyways so its not like it benefits you in any meaningful way. Its just donking up other peoples experiences over the fear that you wont succeed in every match. If you get no kills, hell if you get no hooks in a match that means you lose, thats no reason to be a stink about it, get over it and play the next one. If youre losing over and over, come back tomorrow and see if its better. being a butt just because you wanna win isnt something that should be rewarded.

Had a thought of how afking as a survivor, the entity exposes where you are and tries to get rid of you, it would be cool if there was a secret mechanic that if a survivor afks for a long enough time and the killer doesnt come for them, the entity takes them and throws them into the Void which i just read up on the wiki

Huntress lullaby too it's annoying I don't want to hear it 24/7 while playing her..
@Xyvielia said:
Yes... and the only thing I want to hear out of Huntress’ mouth is that enraged wail she lets loose at the agony of every pallet stun.
Agree with both of these, having misophonia kinda triggers me with certain things (especially the artist) and so bar none it would be nice if there would be a way to replace the noises with the entitys whispers or something that isnt so annoying but still is the audio disturbance that theyd like to have
although, the moment when i heard the trickster bellow out an honest, genuine "HAA!" was super magical, and i do really like the fact that they exist from an artistic and creative view point
-
how dare you say these words to me lmao

@Tsulan said:
Yeah about that "nothing to say in chat".
How often do you give killers positive feedback after a match? Even when no one escaped.
My endgame chats can be boiled down to "gg ez" when someone escaped (coming often from a survivor who did the least). Or dead silence when no one escaped. Hell I don't even get a "thank you" after giving hatch anymore.
When killers always receive negative feedback, independently how they play. What playstyle do you think will stick with then?
feel that hard, ive given hatches over a hundred times and only ever recieved a thank you one time. rough stuff

That sounds more like an issue of gate spawns. Either way, if there's just one survivor left and the hatch is closed, the odds SHOULD be overwhelmingly in favor of the killer.
Yea, and that’s fair, but i just personally never really like the idea of a checkmate in games, where opponents have the option to concede and feel bad or try without chance of success and feel worse, you know?
-
yea but then if there’s just one survivor, and the hatch is closed, it’s literally impossible for killer to lose under any circumstances unless he does so on purpose
-
huntress is a personal favorite and it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside to hear that it relies on player skill hublupmndrfml ;~;

crying, usually, is how i deal with it. not being able to deal lasting damage as a killer is always super rough.

alright you know what goon man its a magic murderer horror game with magic guns and magic people so excuuuuuuse me for not assuming thered be conceptual logic here
-
There are things you can do to make those checks much more difficult as killer though, for example having the huntress' lullaby perk as the doctor would melt anyones brain if they tried to get it, but i definitely agree that it would be nice if survivors had to focus a little more to get it dome. If there were a variety of different checks, so you had to make sure you knew what you were doing, I think it would be a little more exciting
-
@HuntressWife said:
It's literally so easy to counter. Just get close but don't hit them, they'll use their dead hard, then hit them. It's that easy.
i dunno what kind of salami heads you've been playing with, but it is never that easy.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
The devs hear you loud and clear! In the next update they're removing the Endgame Collapse (EGC) due to complaints about 99'ing doors. Survivors will now open doors immidiately due to there being no timer placed on the trial and are free to hold you hostage for as long as you like!
A finger of the monkey paw closes ominously.
You know, you... you could've said nothing at all, at you would have been just as helpful, except also I would feel less miserable and ashamed of having an opinion, and for yearning for support.

No... When Survivors are in snowmen the move really slowly. I was wondering if you got a weird bug where the snowmen didn't render. If they were moving normally, then that's not it.
Oh yea no they were running and jumping and vaulting and stuff
-
@FFirebrandd said:
Actually, I have a question... were they moving at normal speed before you hit them?
Yea, as far as I could tell. I know for sure at least one of them didn't use dead hard if thats what youre getting at, the others maybe, but I know now so its not a big deal
-
Oof okay thank you, I mostly just wanted to know if this is what that looked like, or if it was actually something that was a part of the game. Real quick, for the killer, is there any visual indication of boon totems, or do you just kinda have to walk around until you hear one? And, what is the purpose of the blue snowey effect on the killers HUD?
-
Then this doesn't answer my question, I understand how hitting someone when theyre inside of a snowman won't down them, and allow them to flee, but snowmen weren't a part of my encounter.
-
I see, so basically a survivor can enter and then pop a snowman to get a free defense, whenever? How long does this last, and why can I also see it on my screen as the killer?
