Easiest question I've had to answer all week lol
- Won't hide in the corner the whole game.
- People to talk to (I love to talk).
- Know how to loop.
- Know when exactly to rush gens, while also not creating a 3 gen.
- Reliable help against campers/tunnellers.
- Can play fun meme builds.
- While levelling survivors they might give you free items.
- Help me with challenges.
- Drinking weekends (the best reason to play swf).
- Know their perks.
- Can give some useful information.
- Build up friendship that can transfer over to other games.
Think I'm missing about 10 but this is my initial thoughts. Hope that explains things.
-
Either killer mains, new players who want to learn or survivor mains who laugh at him from what I hear lol
-
Sometimes the killer thinks people are in a swf but are wrong. Unfortunately some killers don't believe them because reasons?
I'd say the reason some swfs lie about it is so the killer can't blame their lose on facing a swf team. Sometimes killers can't accept the lose was because they played bad and it had to be because of this toxic, op swf team.

Ooooooooooooooooh, you want to complete all the challenges and leave some as "banked" BP, not just take the shortest bloodpoint path and complete the challenges later, gotcha.
Exactly. It was really good starting off the last event with 2.5 million already saved lol

But couldn’t you do that by just grabbing the points to a mil?
The bloodpoint cap means you can only hold 1 million at anytime. This way you will have an additional 1.5 million in reserve to use. You need to complete the level to unlock the next level so that's why I collect challenges to the end.
If you want you can just not complete any challenges and just go straight to the end. You'll save more Bloodpoints but you won't be able to collect them immediately since you haven't completed half the challenges.

It does seem line a nice way tho, although I do every challenges since I'm leveling Wraith, it is a great way for people who wants to save!
I'm at the point now where I have all my killers with max perks so I don't really need to spend them on anything but survivor right now. Plus I love getting the new perks on my main immediately lol

Mori and keys are not the same. Imagine a surv finishing a gen, and automatically he escape. This is the same as a mori.
Imagine not completing a gen, killer closes hatch and guards both doors.. yet you still escape lol that's called a key.
Look in all seriousness they are both busted. Both are free wins and escapes. Both are rewarding you for not fully completing your objective.
I'd say the only difference is that as killer you need to hook survivors so you may never have a chance to use your mori. However if a key was brought into the match as long as the killer doesn't have Franklin's or the key has an on death add-on then you have an opportunity to use it. Also keys can be looted, which is extremely easy with plunders.
They are both equally broken and give huge advantages that shouldn't exist in this game. They honestly are the only thing I see as truely broken in this game.

Friesian I believe. Was there when I took the screenshot lol

Why would the devs care about the petty squabbling between "factions" on the forums? I think the devs should make changes at their own convenience because I trust that the devs will eventually keep their promises and make everybody happy, requesting ridiculous things like always changing both sides at the same time is just going to slow down their progress.
I'm just saying this because it makes sense. They normally can't make changes to both sides because there isn't much the community can agree on being equal.
However 9/10 of the community agree that both keys and moris are equal. The fact that Peanits mentioned keys are also being looked at is a sign to me they know this.
It isn't slowing down progress asking for keys and moris to be nerfed at the same time. It's just common sense. If they waited 3 months or even a month and a half between these nerfs your just asking for trouble.

If they release a survivor called Derek then choose him

First or all it's only in 4 man swf, so builds could work around 3 man with same perks perhaps. I doubt it punishes bad players and devs said that their intent wasn't to make ds an anti tunneling perk either way, so I don't see why not
It does punish bad 4 man swfs who are new to the game or just aren't good.
Having to play 3 man swfs so we can all share the same perks isn't a good solution. Your limiting the creativity no matter what.
DS may not be considered an anti-tunnelling perk but it's currently one of the only ways to counter tunnelling.
-
Every new set of challenges that release I always do this. Usually try to have it up within the first half hour that the challenges drop. I always make sure every challenge is completed while also saving the maximum amount of Bloodpoints possible.
Thanks @2ndBusiestmusicnerd and @hahadrillgobrrr for letting him know.

@Peanits said:
Moris are on the list to be changed at some point, but I can't any details or dates just yet.
(Before any asks, yes, keys are too. That's not what this thread is about.)
You need to change them both at the same time. If you don't want the community to be at each others throats then that's what needs to happen.
The one thing the community seems to be united on is that both are equally game breaking.
-
I disagree with all of these tbh. The problem with the 4th option is that:
- Punishes Bad players
- Removes creative builds that some swf teams want to do.
- Killer seeing a swf team before the match will encourage them to dodge or bring an extremely sweaty build or mori.
- Gives the killer an excuse if they lose, even when they might play bad. I.e "couldn't do anything against a swf team".
- 1 DS will allow the killer to tunnel survivors guaranteed without any real repercussions.
Sorry but limiting players to only having 1 of each perk will just cause too many problems. Also I've always heavily been against killers seeing swf teams before a match.
-
Lightborn isn't much of a buff. Once survivors know the killer has Lightborn then they won't use the flashlight anymore. Good killers won't use Lightborn since they know how to avoid Flashlights.
Franklin's is a brilliant buff to counter keys, but not enough. The only time you should really be losing your item is if you get hit early in a chase and get hooked for 30 plus seconds. It's a good buff that won't affect really good survivors.
Billy didn't need nerfed anyway so I'm happy the overheat thing isn't terrible now.
Also I'd say Ebony Moris and Keys both need nerfed together. Franklin's helps with Keys but it just isn't strong enough.

If you scroll down the comments and look at the post that DragonBlasterCZ sent you can see the challenges.

Apologies for low quality my phone isn't the best at art.
No it's about saving the maximum number of Bloodpoints while also completing the rift. Trying to do it quick isn't the point of it.

Hey, you could use this page for "preparation".

There are all levels from this archive.
This is pretty helpful. I'll probably just wait though till it's released incase they change the layout or the placement of mastery challenges.

@Switcheroo said:
Is the point of this to show people a path of challenges that don't require a certain perk or item?
The point of this is to show people how to save points for the next chapter. The cap for Bloodpoints is 1 million but with what I'm doing you'll have an extra 1 million ready.

I wish I didn't need to run it but I always feel like I do. Anytime someone gets tunnelled and they don't have DS a little part of me dies inside.
Even as killer I can't lie if I see that there is no DS in the game my mindset changes. I won't actively tunnel just one survivor but I'm definitely not going to respect the DS I know survivors won't have.
-
Ino it's releasing a sequel but the game is pretty much dead. Also the tone of the game doesn't suit dead by daylight.
It would be an interesting pc mod but not a chapter that we've been waiting 3 months for.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
its really not that common lol
Depends on how often you play killer lol
I never had this happen against in over 10 months before the event. From the second week of the event to the end of the event I had 5 people do this on me. Always me slugging for the 4k and someone dcs once their friend is near the hatch.
I played the game at least 7/8 games a day at that time. Now I'm not playing anywhere near as often so I haven't seen it in a few weeks.
-
I'd disagree that they should be permanently unlocked. Some people find prestiging too much effort anyway.
I'd say maybe give them a bonus Bloodpoint increase to help them get back some of the points they spent leveling up. 0% increase at P1, 25% P2 and 50% P3. I think people who don't want to grind won't be missing out on as much then.
-
I love points so I never normally do. Especially now I've had a few survivors dc tech to give hatch I'm a little more stubborn about it.
-
Dilly dilly!
-
Depends on the killer.
- Pop and Corrupt on killers like Myers, Huntress, Trapper and Oni.
- Pop and Ruin on Legion and Doctor. This is mainly because Ruin is excellent on these killers but just incase it's destroyed early I have a back up.
Pop is pretty much on every killer. Discordance I have on Freddy and Legion.
I always think if a killer doesn't need any chase perks then I'll run slowdown. So I'm sorry to say my Freddy has 3 gen perks.

The thing is, this game is extremely easy. So if you play a lot, you will learn what you need to learn to get red ranks. But if you get downed in 20 seconds every chase, don't know generator spawn locations, always hide without pressuring objectives, etc as a survivor...you won't get red ranks, no matter how much you play. The thing is, if you play a lot though, you learn all this stuff because of how easy this game is.
If it was extremely easy then red rank survivors wouldn't be terrible and killers wouldn't dc because the game is "unbalanced". If red rank survivors were as good as you try to say they are then solo and swf teams wouldn't have such a massive difference.
Thing is survivors who don't last long in chases or just throw pallets immediately, hide, only 2 man gens, wait for hatch and self care do rank up to red ranks. It's unfortunate but this is true. At worst they'll black pip so they keep their rank.
-
Don't like Lerys, don't like Midwitch and I like Hawkins.
I personally believe the Game is a survivor sided map. Personally my favourite map in the game.

Yes....you do.
Unless you got lower rank because of the rank reset, if you are a good player, you'll hit red ranks naturally. True, red ranks don't mean much. But it does indicate some level of skill achieved. Problem is too many people are in red rank, so the skill level is too disparate.
You'll hit red ranks eventually but it doesn't really show skill. It should mean something but due to the fact red ranks are full of babies it doesn't.
To answer the discussions main question, is it an accomplishment? No since you get to red ranks by playing a lot, not by being a good player.
-
Probably doing the fortnite llama bell dance somewhere.
-
Probably ones that don't have to do with dead by daylight. Every discussion to do with this game has already been said over 10 times each.
Something like "Best scene in a video game" or "Celebrity crushes" are just some examples.
-
This is why you run ds. It all depends on the scenario though. If your about to go into second stage then you need to farm.
-
Not really. You don't need red ranks to prove your skill.
-
Personally I never feel like reports do anything. I've sent in a few reports before with video links. YouTube tells you if someone views your video so I can see when they don't watch it.

Can’t recall anytime t-bagging or waiting around doing nothing in an exit gate contributes to WGLF stacks.
Or do you mean waiting because not every survivor has reached a gate yet? In case you need to do a save?
Because if every one is in a gate, WGLF doesn’t hold a lot of weight.
I don't mean t-bagging. I wait so when the killer hits a survivor at the door I can take at least 1 or 2 protection hits before I leave.
Nothing toxic, just me being a point ######### lol
-
Distressing increases the doctors terror radius by very very slightly over 8m. This with M&A will make your terror radius 32m in out of chase and 48m while in chase.
I'm not sure about the values from the add-ons. Can't calculate the full terror radius till we find out the values. Also not sure if distressing works only on your main terror radius or does it include the terror radius changes from M&A or add-ons.
-
Heres the way I view it. Survivors have less to complain about compared to killers. This means that most experienced survivors won't defend other survivors who complain about silly things like how OP a killer is.
The thing is when a killer of any rank complains about something, most other killers agree and give them support. No matter how dumb it sounds they'll support the person regardless. That's probably why the forums seem killer sided.
I just think the forums are cry baby favoured tbh.
-
Not every good player is toxic. Problem is some people in general are just toxic so when they are good at the game they think they can do and say whatever they want.
Be very happy when you beat these type of players. Give them the toxicity that they earned lol

no it didnt, clearly, i have most of my hours (800) on survivor and spread out over 3 and half years, i probably have less than 20 hours on killer, i should NOT be getting red rank survivors, there's no argument to that, there's no "oh well, he's using something i find strong, so screw him, eh, amirite"
the game should feel fair, it doesn't
Fair argument 👍 didn't think about the fact you could've just played survivor.
You shouldn't have been matched with them based off ranks. Though I must say getting 20k points against red rank survivors is pretty good. That's not someone who's a complete baby as killer.
So even though you shouldn't have faced them, it didn't hinder you that much from what I can see. Definitely doesn't seem like you should be facing rank 9 survivors at that rate.

He said he played only survivor before. If you only have killer experience from the survivor view this wont help that much.
Look at the message he sent above lol I didn't read all the comments so I didn't know he only played survivor.
-
Well if your camping you shouldn't care about emblems since your already going to depip.
Also trying to use the argument survivors don't get punished for bringing 4 toolboxes and gen rushing perks is hilarious. The killer doesn't get punished for bringing a mori btw.
The reason is because the killers objective is to stop generators since that's the way survivors escape. Survivors don't get punished because their objective is to do gens.

There's already a ton of less toxic perks that can be used to counter these things.
Not really. There are some average perks to help against camping and tunnelling but not any that really stop it.
Something simple like a mori is where DS helps a lot. Jumping into a locker allows you to get a second chance or will help you waste enough time that the team can rush gens.

Just because someone uses a strong killer with strong addons it doesnt mean its unfair to face same ranks.
You can take the strongest stuff and still lose if you are not good enough.
Thing is the killer was Devotion 2 level 28. That's not a Devotion for someone who just made it to rank 9.
I'd say the game just matched him with people of a similar skill level.
-
Well if I have We're Gonna Live Forever I want to get a few stacks before I leave lol
-
Maybe for a few reasons:
- Tunnellers
- Campers
- Tunnellers
- Campers
To name just a few lol
-
Feel sorry if they are a low rank. But never feel sorry for every dc.
People dc if they chase a survivor for 1 minute without hitting them so never blame yourself for a dc.
-
I think it's fine atm. It's spawns there 100% of the time which already is extremely good.
-
Your running double slowdown freddy. I'd say it would've been really unfair facing people your own rank.
