  • Hag hag Hag Hag hag hag.

As soon as 2 gens are done they trap and proxy every hooked survivor hard.

Part of the 20 reasons I hate Hag.

Tbf, it seems to me more like the meta will just take a make up job.

The new killer is shipping with 3 slowdown perks and op is literally suggesting a full stacked slowdown build. Feels like the same usual meta to me, only in different flavors.

It's slightly changed on survivor with CoH that shifted the no-heal meta a little bit. And that came with massive backlash that demands to go back on that. However, the remaining perk slots are still taken by the usual suspects.

Overcome will be gone and forgotten in a week from release. Not to mention it stll fits in the same general meta, only a different taste.

    Just my 2 cents.

It may be all slowdown but honestly I'll take something different. Compare this to the meta this time last year which was Corrupt, Ruin, Undying and Tinkerer/Pop. Even though these builds are full slowdown, it is nice having some slight variety at high ranks.

CoH has had a lot of backlash but at least it changes gameplay a little bit. People are taking time to bless totems, rather than just sit on gens injured.

Overcome will be used quite a bit imo if it stays the same (I'm expecting a nerf). Personally I hate using Sprint Burst so a perk like this suits me down to the ground.

Are these perks good for the game? I'm going to say no. However for now I'm happy that both sides of the meta has a little bit of variety. Better than releasing just in general bad perks like most of the old chapters.

  • For the first time in a long time it feels like the meta is slightly changing on both sides.

Usually the perks released were ok but not great at high ranks.

Now killers have Deadlocked and Resonance while survivors have CoH and Overcome (can't remember it's name).

  • I already disagree with everything you said because you started this post off by saying Hag is a "much beloved meta killer" lol

Anyway I think they can survive the ptb will either no changes or very little ones.

I don't like the fact that the devs are constantly releasing anti-loop killers that encourage holding W gameplay. Think they should focus more on killers with good mobility.

  • Want to add something here. Depending on your internet settings your internet can be PERFECTLY FINE but still be bad on dbd.

I haven't been able to log onto dbd for 2 weeks because of "network connections". If I ever get logged on, I get kicked off very quickly after. My internet is perfect on every other game/youtube/twitch etc. Also had a similar problem to this in the summer (except a whole lot worse)

I think people here should be actually suggesting a way to help this person, rather than assume they're just dc'ing for no reason. I'm not sure why he dc'ed to answer the door but I'm not here to guess since it could be a good reason.

  • I'm excited even though I know it'll only come with a bunch of bugs and problems.

Tbh it's mainly the perks I want to see. Just some interesting perks for random builds.

  • I think this is the minority of survivors. I really like the new Spirit changes and also only want to see some add-on changes. She's going to get hits 100% at short loops but the rest have really good mind game potential.

It's just the same as the minority of killers who complain about nerfing basically all the survivor meta perks into the ground.

The vocal minority is always louder than the content majority.

Yes but DBD is a reverse horror game. The killers are the ones that dictate the survivors experience. Therefore survivor entitlement is more of a thing

Also disagree on this lol both sides dictate the experience overall.

On one side you having camping Bubbas and on the other you have a 4 man with brand new parts.

  • I think most people want this game to be as balanced as possible.

Problem is this game having perfect balance is impossible.

  • Both sides have entitlement. It's not just one side.

  • You made a Hag give up, good work 👍 disappointed you didn't make her dc but I'll take the 4 man escape.

My guide is just take everything. No seriously, I really don't get the point of this guide. Can't you just spend BP and take more? lmfao.

As it says at the bottom of the post "Since the game only allows you to hold 1 million bloodpoints at any given time, this is a way to store extra bloodpoints for a later date".

Also thanks @ShinobuSK for explaining some of the reasons 👍

I would also like to add two more reasons:

    1. Saving up bloodpoints for events: I was able to have 4.5+ million bloodpoints saved up for the 5th year anniversary event. So the second the event started I had that amount to immediately spend.
    2. Gives some encouragement for playing both roles. Personally I always preferred playing survivor but being forced to play killer sometimes was a nice change.

Always happy to see your post when the new level of the tome unlocks. Thanks again!

    Cheers mate 👍

That's a better path. Well done mate 👍

    No problem mate 👍

  • I've faced her a bunch. She finally has good counter play.

She's still a 100% hit at short loops and pretty good in the right hands at medium sized loops. I still feel like if you don't have Iron Will she can be extremely annoying but I always run Iron Will so it's fine.

  • @BaschFonRonsenburg said:

“We went ahead and added a .5 second delay on The Hags traps trigger-teleport window. We feel this will give survivors some counterplay when they make a 4head mistake.”

This one I absolutely agree should be added 👍 great suggestion

Wouldn't call walking into a trap a "4head mistake" since most of the time these traps are in places you can't see.

  • Just Otz and Scott. Paulie only for dbd killer speculation. Monto before he went afk.

Otz because he seems extremely fair and plays some random builds. Scott because I like the discussion videos. Used to watch Tru3 but he just complains that much that it put me off. Monto I liked the builds he did but now I'm thinking of deleting him.

  • Think if your going for 4ks with only 4 hooks then your not going to improve that much as a killer.

If your going for multiple hooks then your getting better practice in chases and getting a better understanding of the 1v4 mindset. You shouldn't get too many 12 hook games at high MMR but even getting a 6-7 hook game can give you a lot better experience than 4 hook games. Also you'll get a lot more points going for more hooks.

Your MMR will increase, giving you tougher teams, which will make your matches extremely boring if you just go for 4 hook games (since the best strategy for this is camping with Trickster or Bubba).

I don't mind what you do. I'm just giving a reason for why I don't try to play for only the 4 hook game.

  • For me I'd remove the hex part of it and make it timed.

    NOED:

    • 60/75/90 seconds
    • No extra speed boost

I only want it changed because I hate the argument "just do totems". Everybody that's played this game long enough knows you can't "just do totems" every single game.

There's a speed boost from DH anyway.

The cooldown could be lessened for that type of hit to compensate.

The animation could be kept minus the actual forward movement.

I'm not sure how you figure the last one.

Not the same sort of speed boost as you'd get from getting hit.

The unhook thing I'm just meaning that you could use it while injured when getting an unhook. Basically like giving yourself borrowed time. Also the times where a survivor gets an unsafe unhook, then dead hards through the unhooked survivor so they get downed again won't work.

I see why people hate how it looks now with hit validation but I'm not sure giving dead hard the endurance status effect instead is the way to go.

  • Think this is just a dead hard buff.

    Here's the main reasons:

    • Speed boost
    • Killer hit cooldown
    • Killer won't know when you used it
    • Unhooks are guaranteed

This would make every killer cry.

Maybe if the new owner is into NFTs or otherwise destroying the planet? (Sorry couldn’t resist)

I replied to your post. I don't think the tag worked (for some reason it seems to work differently with @'ing people on the wall).

  • Mate it is, unfortunately what it is.

Had a game where the first survivor dc'ed immediately. Legion then tunnelled me for 4 minutes and face camped me. Only got 4 gens done in that time.

The only reason 4 gens were done was because 1 survivor did 3 of them, while the other followed me around with a flashlight and missed the easy save.

Some people just aren't good enough even in a 4 vs 1.

  • Created this on July 27th. Currently it's October 23rd and the issue I have hasn't been addressed/fixed yet.

Don't know how many updates there has been since I got this bug but it's still not fixed.

  • I think it would make certain killers quite broken. Plus what killers would the community agree on being too weak and too strong.

I think they would be better adding a mode of transport or something to be able to move to the other side of the map for the weaker killers.

  • I agree massively. I've gotten to the point where I don't give my opinions on certain things because I don't want to get attacked by a certain side.

Deathslinger changes had people going mad and I just thought "I couldn't be assed with this" and just kept quiet.

I think they will. From current meta perks u need 3 of them (Bt, Ds, Dh) so u have free slot to adjust your playstile.

You also apparently need Unbreakable for the DS combo. You also have Iron Will which is a perk I personally always run. If your in solo q you'll probably need Kindred. Some people still love that end game Adrenaline. So currently for the meta I don't believe there is a free spot.

I think if you see it in solo q it'll probably be used by players who won't do anything injured. I say you'll mostly see it in 4 swfs but even then I don't think it'll be in every single teams build after the first few weeks.

  • Think the changes are pretty good.

Not OP so it won't 100% be in the meta but still strong enough that it'll at least shake it up.

  • Who's shocked by this stuff at this point?

  • Grades are playtime based, not sbmm rating.

To be honest those survivors look like they aren't sweaty in the slightest. No DS or Unbreakable. Only 1 Dead Hard and Borrowed Time. Genuinely you couldn't have asked for a more chill looking set of survivors.

Lastly I don't think Trickster is anywhere near the worst killer in the game right now.

  • Honestly just play this game drunk in a swf. Genuinely all I do now 😂

Much more fun than playing the guessing game of solo q or the very intense/sweaty games of killer.

  • @TMNoThumbs said:

    Small pp is meta bud.

This isn't small pp. The old small pp was DS and Unbreakable before the DS nerf.

  • In some ways I think I'd miss any map they remove, but this is definitely one of the maps I'd be happiest about losing.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Pig mains shouldn't agree. And if they do, they are not true Pig mains. Probably one of those boop the snoot types that forgets reverse bear traps are technically lethal.

Especially the streamer pig mains who bring the map with tampered timer and jigsaw sketch because they don't like you 😂

To the OP I also hate this map. Killer it's annoying and survivor it's frustrating.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

The people celebrating Deathslinger's nerf probably get dunked on by like every killer. Trapper and Pig included. They cheeks be clenched for them Trapper and Plague buffs, bruh.

I disagree massively with this idea that people who celebrate nerfs "probably get dunked on by like every killer".

  • It is very difficult to make DS a perfect anti-tunnelling perk. Sometimes you'll get hit by DS unfairly (though this is very rare) or the killer intentionally takes the DS hit and continues to tunnel you.

The only good thing is that you know that survivor was doing nothing since their unhook 👍

  • Boon totems are more fair.

The killer can find the totems easier:

    • Very loud when your near them
    • If your hex was blessed then you know it's exact location since you can see your hex's location before it was blessed

The other reasons I think Old Undying wasn't as fair are:

    • Hex totem effects are map wide so having to cleanse 5 totems to get rid of Ruin was a bit much
    • Slower to cleanse
    • Aura reading so you can tell exactly what survivor is on your totem
    • Time it takes to bless a totem

The only reason I believe they are even close is that Undying has RNG factor to it.

    Just my opinion though

    Oh got it now.

It might be kinda unhealthy paired with Frank's Mix Tape and without it didn't get much use.

How many times did you actually manage to get 4 hits? It happened to me like 2-3 times.

But 3 hits are possible and you would just hit same survivor again for down with Frank's Mix Tape.

But on big maps you are usually happy, if you get 2 hits, but sometimes not even that if they spread well across the map.

I would rather buffs that will help to get those chain hits at all.

Franks Mix Tape would get changed. Also hitting a survivor who still has Deep wound on them should not lower their DW timer. These solve both the main problems with my idea.

I don't get 4 hits too often because I'm not the best Legion. I believe a Legion main or a really skilled player will get those 4 hits maybe once or twice a game. I increased their basekit duration to help with this. Also lowered their cooldown for cancelling (not missing) their power.

After everyone is injured his power has no real impact other than mobility. Since all high rank survivors usually stay injured it's quite pointless sometimes using your power. It's why I wanted to try to make his power have a potential instadown.

  • @Dino7281 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/285380/give-legion-this-buff

Isn't it just Frank's Mix Tape? Which is really bad add-on for Legion...

    Changes I would do:

    QoL changes:

    • The Legion may see the blood pools of injured Survivors during Feral Frenzy.
    • Feral Frenzy begins to replenish at the start of the fatigue state.
    • The depletion of Feral Frenzy pauses while performing the break, damage and search interactions.

    Buffs:

    • Feral Frenzy’s movement speed is increased to 6 m/s after applying Deep Wound.
    • Feral Frenzy’s fatigue state is 3 seconds and a missed Feral Frenzy attack prompts a 4 second fatigue state.

Do this and I am happy Legion main. Maybe some add-on rework would be nice too.

Unless I'm missing something I'm pretty certain Frank's Mix Tape doesn't do what I've suggested. I believe it lowers the mend time but not with consecutive hits. It definitely doesn't end with an instadown for 4 consecutive hits.

  • I'm considering it. Currently only playing it at the weekend when I'm having a drink with my swf mates.

Got the new fifa and we might start playing clubs together. Though unless a game like Black Ops 1 or 2 is remastered then I won't be able to quit this game properly.

  • I get all your posts on here are very survivor favoured but I really don't know if they are bait or not lol

Here's all the killers in the game. Tell which ones are OP, Too Strong, Good Place, Needs A Buff.

    • Trapper, Wraith, HillBilly, Nurse
    • Huntress, Myers, Hag, Doctor
    • Leatherface, Freddy, Pig, Clown
    • Spirit, Legion, Plague, Ghostface
    • Demogorgan, Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head
    • Blight, Twins, Trickster, Nemesis
    • Pinhead

    Genuinely just interested lol

  • I feel your pain mate. Annoying thing about survicor is that you don't even need full meta builds if your team is good enough, but it usually isn't.

Solo Q will make you want to play swf, which will beat killers, who then go full meta because of this. Then the cycle continues till everyone is swf, new to the game or left it and every killer is running a full meta build.

Basically this game makes you need to be meta (aka Swf and Killer using meta build) because of the potential horrible games you might get if you don't.

  • "Get flashlight saved multiple games in a row" - Learn to deal with it.

I'm sorry but if your letting this happen multiple times per game then your not a high rank player. At high ranks a good player will never let this happen.

So yes, you got to learn to avoid it or deal with it.

  • Nobody in their right mind should think VHS will even place up the boots of dbd.

Considered the weakest item in the game by people who have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of competitive game balance with their horrendous takes. I would take the average opinion on what is strong with a cannister of salt, as alluding to the amount of salt you would need as a grain is something only they would do.

People who think denying a health state is better than denying a hook state are quite frankly not as bright as these flashlights that you can hit from 90 degrees. People who think just because one survivor isn't on a gen, that they are magically getting value despite wasting time trying to zone them away are missing part of the equation.

Do not get me wrong, toolboxes and medkits are good. Especially with add ons. Well, only with add ons, really. But flashlights are far from gimmicks just because your average survivor misuses them.

First off I disagree that medkits and toolboxes are only good with add-ons. Being able to heal 1 health state by yourself or being able to finish the gen with a toolbox just before a killer reaches you is massive. Add-ons make them extremely strong, but they are already pretty good without it.

The reasons people see flashlights as the weakest item is because your not doing anything for a chance at a save. It's very inconsistent at high ranks whether you'll get any flashlight value or not. Here is the reasons why some consider it the weakest item.

Btw this is coming from someone who uses flashlights regularly.

    • Perks counter it - Infectious Fright, Franklin's and Lightborn.
    • Survivor gets downed near an wall.
    • Generally you'll leave the gen when the survivor gets injured. This chase can either last a lot longer than expected (meaning your wasting time) or they go down at a wall (still wasting time).
    • Certains killers are awkward - Killers like Pyramid Head are basically impossible to get flashlight saves on lockers.
    • The devs usually make little changes to them every 3-6 months. This means you end up needing to relearn it again.
    • General inconsistency - There are just times where they aren't consistent. I've had plenty of times where a 45° angle doesn't give me a beam, but a nearly 90° angle does.
    • Blinding at pallets loses distance - no iron will and the killer has earphones, he'll track you quite easily.
    • Killers look around and maybe find you.

When flashlights work they are amazing. They can completely change the course of a game. However at high ranks these are few and far between. It's why a 4 man flashlight team usually are not trying to win while using them, and are only messing around.

They are probably the most balanced item in the game. Some angles are dumb and should be fixed but I don't think they ever should change flashlights otherwise.

I wouldn’t say flashlights are weak if survivors are good at timing the aiming.

Aiming is easy. It's getting that opportunity that's the problem.
