Even rushed, half-baked content sells. Health patches don't.
-
I also did the "camping" the hook with Victor, got it on my first try, despite the survivors actually trying to avoid it.
-
They loosened the requirement for matchmaking at higher levels, so super good killers and survivors can stomp even less experienced people than before. Gotta love the devs and their priorities <3
-
I honestly don't know anything anymore. From last Thursday/Friday to this Friday, my SoloQ games were significantly more miserable than usual and that's a huge achievement in and of itself. But yesterday and today...I actually have teammates that do gens and not every killer downs a survivor every 10 seconds. It really feels like there is some sort of ethereal cycle to SBMM where sometimes you'll be granted good games for X amount of days and then back to Suffocation Pit you go.
-
Just make it so that his attacks can't injure survivors. My poor baby getting stomped into the ground for no good reason. I get it, he is strong against new players, I don't care, he is worthless in anything mid-high tier, stop picking on him already.
-
I would pay to see you play him against even a decent SWF.
-
Killer: No.
SoloQ: No.
SWF: Maybe.
-
Bubba, Legion, Ghostface and Pig.
-
Try playing SoloQ where 5 out of 10 matches has a DC within 60 seconds because it's a killer or a map your teammate doesn't like or they just went down in 10 seconds giving the Killer an almost unlosable match and then we can have a chat about frustration.

This was a horror game.
I don't know about you, but I feel pretty horrified right about now.
-
Hag's playstyle doesn't appeal to me at all. Plus flashlights and good teams pretty much nullify her power so she can be underwhelming.
Plague's red vomit is the single most frustrating thing in this game. Yes, even more so than Dead Heard.
Oni to a lesser extent. I consider myself to be a fairly serviceable Nurse and Blight killer even if I can't do crazy techs with them, but if I'm not in Demon Dash, I just can't land land lunge attacks while in my power to save my life. It doesn't matter how many hours I pour into him, I just bonk walls and the ground constantly.
-
If I hear a blink I just DC. I stopped caring.
-
And at the same time killers are forced to used VPN so that hackers won't just DDOS them since BHVR can't even code so that your IP address isn't leaked with dedicated servers. Lose-lose situation.
-
They did something with the matchmaking last Thursday/Friday, my games have significantly declined in quality, even by SBMM standards. I hope they revert whatever they messed up so royally.
-
One of the weakest killers to play as, but pretty annoying to play against. Horrible combo.
-
I mean if you want to be factual there are two kinds of matches. Where the highly experienced killer stomps on noobs and the one where the highly experienced survivors stomp on noobs. BHVR makes sure nobody is put against equally skilled players so that they can go on about their average of 2k.
-
Mad respect to those 2 gigachads.
-
The day they shut down the servers, someone will be screaming at the top of their lungs: but what about that huge, hidden console playerbase?!
-
No, nothing is being exploited. The devs coded the body to disappear when a person DCs, everything is intended mechanics.
I wonder out of all the people whining about it, how many DC-d when their totem was in an inaccessible point on the map, giving them unlimited Devour Hope Value with literally no way to counter it. Oh, I know, zero! You don't give a ######### about exploits, bugs or fairness, you just want everything to go your way.
-
Pretty good job so far!
-
Same reason why killers 4 man slug from the first minute of the game and AFK until everyone bleeds out. Some people get off on the misery of others.
-
I understand that not everybody would be comfortable with publicly displaying it, but you should be able to check your own MMR if you want. Maybe put it somewhere in the options menu where you press a button and it displays your rating like when you redeem a code.
-
BBQ because I'll never have enough bloodpoints and it's somewhat decent for tracking
Corrupt because I like losing only two gens and not three in 90 seconds
PainRes+DMS, potent combo.
For Legion, lately I'm just having a lot of fun with the Sigma Killer Grindset. Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength. Not super efficient in high MMR, but tons of fun to just smash through pallets.
-
People love to meme on the whole idea of the devs not playing their own game, but in all seriousness issues like these showcase just how badly disconnected they are from the players of the game.
-
About time. Now BHVR only needs to delete Nurse and rebalance the maps/Killers so that we can have something resembling fun matches.
-
The problem with applying that principle to DBD is that the SBMM system is laughably incapable of determining a given person's skill level. What does it tell you if you have 1750MMR? Absolutely nothing. The number and its changes are utterly meaning and pointless.
-
You don't. You either gather the strength to break your Stockholm syndrome or you keep on going thinking that surely the next game won't be a horribly balanced trainwreck.
-
I've been having utterly horrid games since Friday (even more wretched than usual SBMM matches), so I guess now is as good as time as any to reset my DC penalty counter, rank reset is almost here as well.
-
1) They don't care.
2) Even if they cared, this is the DBD dev team. They couldn't write a Sudoku software that didn't have weird game crashing bugs like writing a 3 in the top right corner leading to memory overflow.
-
Sometimes I wonder if there are teachers out there who regret letting their students pass their exam and get a degree.
-
Something has been off with matchmaking since last Friday or so. SoloQ went from if you are lucky you escape every tenth game to don't even think about escaping even if you play dozens of games and my Killer lobbies are choke-full of people that don't even have a 100 hours in the game. Even with Killers that I play super sweaty and go up against decent survivors, I'm getting worse and worse teams despite 3king most matches. BHVR keeps on making the machmaking worse than its previous iteration, I'm genuinely in awe at how badly they can mess up again, and again, and again.
-
Just because you play both sides doesn't mean that you will know what's happening in every single instance. I've had plenty of times when a landing crow gave away a survivor's position, but I have been in positions where the killer's play were VERY suspicious.
-
Unrealistically: SBMM is deleted.
Realistically: SoloQ improvements.
-
Here's hoping it will sink DBD and the devs can look for a new job. I recommend garbage collecting, they have accumulated a lot of experience with thrash systems in the past 6 years.
-
The only reason we have depipping is to artificially increase playtime. Pretty underhanded from the devs, but we really shouldn't expect anything better from them.
-
What I find to be particularly depressing is that they don't even have to. They have an amazing community of Fog Whisperers, many of whom are very good at the game and I'm sure they would be perfectly happy to give valuable feedback that would make the game significantly better. They just simply don't care.
-
Someone saying something in the lobby chat. Those guys are weirdos.

I find it especially interesting how many hooks the top tier streamers get, before the gates are powered. More often than not, they get 5 or 6 hooks and only manage to get kills, because the survivors are trying to get everyone out. Which can snowball hard at this point.
Now on paper those matches look in the killers favor, because only the kills matered. Buuut it really isn´t the same, when the survivors only died, because they wanted to get a 4 man escape.
Case in point
-
I actually stopped watching streamers exactly because it felt like 99% of their matches were against absolute noobs. You'd see people play Pig without Corrupt Intervention and get into a long chase, without a single gen popping, while if you yourself were playing her, even if the fastest chase in the world will get you 3 gens lost in the first minute since everyone and their pet goldfish comes with BNPs into the game.
-
It's literally just there to make you feel good about yourselves. IIRC people who do packetsniffing and reverse engineering stuff found that it doesn't even send back packets to the server.
-
You aren't doing anything wrong. Unfortunately, the developers of this game are ridiculously incompetent at their job and this creates a horrible unbalance in the game. You either need to throw a bunch of matches to go up against people of your skill level or accept that you are going to lose the overwhelming majority of your games.
-
I mean the developers themselves encourage smurfing. Their recent SBMM change made it so that super good killers are facing even less experienced survivors so that they can have fun. I've personally made Sadako my 1k 3escape killer. It's really fun playing against unskilled players who are still afraid of you instead of looping you for five gens and tbagging because predropping on Gideon is skillfull somehow.
-
Due to the fact that I'm stuck in high MMR hell where every single Nurse I face has multiple thousands of hours in the game, runs the strongest addons and refuses to play on any map that's not a MaCMillan or Azarov one, I despise playing against one with every fiber of my being and DCing never looks more alluring.
-
I hate it ever so slightly less I suppose.
-
1) The devs don't care.
2) Even if they cared, they are woefully incompetent to implement any good changes.
Take it or leave it. But preferably leave it, BHVR really deserves for this title to sink as soon as possible.
-
I really wish the devs would stop huffing their own farts and instead work on the game like they are paid to. For example, not feeding 8 hour nooblettes to 6k+ hour Nurses would be a nice start. But I guess they don't teach that at hockey school.
-
My desire to play this game lessens every passing week.
As a SoloQ 4 Life survivor, most of the killers I face are significantly stronger than me or my teammates, someone going down every 20-30 seconds. If we get 3 gens done, that was an exceptionally good game, but 9 out of 10 matches end with a hatch search for the last person surviving. Thanks to an escape rate of 5-20% for the past 6 months, my MMR has decline to the point that I see Nurses and Blights very rarely. Those are of course the super cracked ones that never enter a lobby without the most broken addons and a map offering every single game, but at least I can just DC without building up my penalty too badly. And then there are the 10th matches were super experienced survivors are clowning on a killer with green perks and less than a hundred hours like it was ripped straight from one of those big name survivor YT channels.
Killer is an absolutely mixed bag. Some games are pretty chill and I can 4k with non meta perks, and then there are the ones where I can sweat my ######### balls off playing super dirty and still barely getting a few hooks. And there isn't even a rhyme or reason, I can lose a bunch of games with one killer and not get weaker opponents, or just 4k with another one every single match and then start getting potatoes for no apparent reason.
SBMM is still the same thrash system it has always been. People just finally had enough time to realize how garbage it is.

This is probably what BHVR thinks, but it's wrong.
After reaching iri 1 two months in a row, I decided the BP bonus wasn't worth the trouble as losing pips is too frustrating. I'm not the only person who's come to this realization, either.
Now I'm playing much less.
This a hundred percent. The last two months were a wretched experience trying to get to Iri rank 1 and then the matchmaking just decides to hand me merciless after merciless. With this month's reset I'll just play if I there's a build I'm interested in. And as a survivor I'm just going to say ######### it and DC. If the penalty builds up too much, I can just go and play a game where the developers actually care about their playerbase or at least don't penalize them for playing their game.
-
It's probably one of the most blatant cases of how little the developers actually care. The grind in this game becomes worse and worse with each consecutive killer/survivor added into the game. People have been complaining for a very long and what is the response? They aren't doing anything because one day they'll just solve the grind issue. They could literally remove depipping right now and let people actually get some extra BP for absolutely no drawback whatsoever. It wouldn't even come close to being the end all solution to the problem, but at least they showed they were trying. It's not even shown after matches, there's literally zero reason why it has to be this way. And it only creates more toxicity, because when a killer or a survivor is one pip away from the next grade, they will be less inclined to play nice.
