And your logic is exactly why people play SWF and all these killers cry about it but I'm not waiting for a match to get sandbagged nobody wants to play in a game like that and I would totally trash this game if swf were to be removed just for that reason, at that point there are plenty of better games out there that actually work

Prior to SWF people just sniped lobbies and it destroyed que times. SWF is a necessary evil.

Love how I offer a valid alternative to the current NOED and people jump on me and make all these assumptions. My only problem with LF right now is that his chainsaw is bugged and doesn't make noise. But that's a bug so.

    This forum 🤦‍♂️

I love how you think NOED is a problem and when told multiple perks/counters you continue to ignore them cuz critical thinking is pretty hard when the gameplay you're used to is autopilot.

Chainsaw is silent, but you can't hear the loud ass heartbeat or use your camera to see the bright yellow ball waddling towards you?

    This forum 🤦‍♂️

I'm still wondering how you managed to associate "Inexperienced" with "Stupid" by reading my post.

Wasn't insultive in any way, sorry not sorry i guess ?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/596/JQSQCP5LFWHK.png

Also i already adressed your points, you just somehow took it as "insults".

For the "smarter survivor looping the killer"...

It got adressed 2 posts above, you should read it, it's quite well explained.

And to make you understand the silliness of the "Why killers walk faster ? Unfair !" argument:

Pick Nurse, she walk at the same speed as survivor.

    Don't use your blink.

See how well it goes trying to catch up to someone running at the exact same speed.

    See ?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/829/826T1VZBFGR9.png

Nurse is slower than survivors. I think she's 94%?

If that's the case then why is it a viable strategy to tunnel a Survivior? If the Survivior manages to keep themselves from the killer for over 15 seconds, call me crazy but I don't think the killer ######### deserves a speed boost to catch up to them when borderline all of them already move faster than the Survivior, and the only one that doesn't has a super powerful gap closing ability that makes her the best killer in the game by miles.

But that isn't what happens. Killers tunnel Surviviors and perks like dying light encourage that strategy, meanwhile the anti tunnelling perk known as decisive strike was just nerfed hard enough that all it takes is enduring to get clearance to tunnel once again.

And if looping is unintended, as someone previously mentioned, then Barbeque and Chili, Whispers, and every other anti stealth perk in the game needs to be ######### removed. Surviviors hinge on pallets and Windows to escape killers when caught. Stealth is a weak mechanic, due to all the anti stealth perks that exist (and let's not even mention the locker nerf where you get aura blindness. Make those things even less reliable why don't you).

A coordinated group of Surviviors is 4 against 1, they should have an advantage. An uncoordinated one is basically a bunch of potatoes running around, that's why I play the loner game as a Survivior, bc often times helping them isn't worth the risk it brings me. But I've been in coordinated SWF groups before. I think in that sense, the killer should be able to carry more than 4 perks. I think that's unfair to the killer that they only get 4 vs effectively 16.

BUT. If looping is truly such a bad thing, then it should be deleted alongside every anti stealth perk in existence. If that's the game the devs want, that's what they should do. Instead perks that help Surviviors in the chase as well as perks that make them more prone to getting caught (object of obsession anyone?) Exist, so obviously looping is here to stay and should be something spoken about. If a Survivior can keep a killers attention for over 15 seconds, call me insane, crazy, stupid, or inexperienced all you like, but I know undeserved ######### when I see it and Bloodlust is definitely that.

But back to NOED. It's bullshit. Tie it to a burning totem and remove the haste, boom now it's balanced.

Wow, .6 meters more. That's really gonna help them when they get that free sprint burst from being hit. Also, what part of Bloodlust is a meme and doesn't actually do anything didn't come through the first time? This forums selective reading is insane. Did you really ask why it's a viable strat to tunnel a survivor? Cuz then it's not 2 people afk on a gen while you chase instead of 3? Is this a legit question, do you actually think it's bad to get someone out of the game fast?

WHO THE ######### RUNS DYING LIGHT? Not only is it one of the worst perks in the game, but everyone agrees it's a poorly designed/toxic one as well. This is the most cherrypicked argument I've ever seen. Dying Light isn't even scary, just do the gen, if he camps, do gens. If it goes off, do gens or get the hatch. OLD DECISIVE WAS ANTI-TUNNELING? WHAT? You're a living meme, my god. How was getting a free escape and super long stun anti-tunneling? I wanna see how your mental gymnastics came to that conclusion.

And if looping is unintended, as someone previously mentioned, then Barbeque and Chili, Whispers, and every other anti stealth perk in the game needs to be [BAD WORD] removed. Surviviors hinge on pallets and Windows to escape killers when caught. Stealth is a weak mechanic, due to all the anti stealth perks that exist (and let's not even mention the locker nerf where you get aura blindness. Make those things even less reliable why don't you).

God you're so painfully wrong I'm actually gonna have an aneurysm. I might have to go to the hospital after I reply cuz wow. Looping was never intended that's why there was so many double pallets. You can literally go watch old dev streams where they said looping was unintended. In fact the killers have wider hitboxes and can't hug walls like survivors can which is in a sense an exploit which is what people are talking about. 2 loops for you is 3 for the killer, 4-5 if they're 110.

BBQ AND CHILI IS SO EASY TO COUNTER STOP CRYING! Stand behind a gen, or hide nearby, boom you countered BBQ. That wasn't enough for you whiners though. Nope, here's a perk, Distortion to counter it and give you 10s of no scratches cuz that's totally fine. As well as lockers BLOCKING THE GOD DAMN AURA. You got a baseline mechanic to counter a killer perk, that most people just use to gain extra BP.

Whispers doesn't find a survivor for you, it's a hint at best. It says someone is here. Stealth isn't weak, you're just a bad player. I run No Mither cuz it's such a good stealth perk. Literally watch any killer play and they ######### about immersed survivors. You have clothing sets that make you bloody invisible. What anti-stealth perks are there compared to the slew of free stealth perks you guys have?

BBQ isn't cuz it has baseline counters and a perk to counter it. Whispers? Just hide, you have 3rd person camera ffs. Spies? Crouch near birds/Calm Spirit. Bloodhound is about the only true anti-stealth perk, run No Mither. You get Dance With Me, Quick and Quiet, Iron Will, Distortion, Lightweight, Calm Spirit, Spine Chill, Premonition, Urban Evasion, Alert, Diversion, Object Of Obsession(funny you say it's an aggro perk, it's both aggro and stealth if you're smart enough to know how to use it), and Poised. Should we remove all those too?

You wanna know why lockers got "nerfed"? Cuz survivors were abusing them cuz they now block killer aura reading. Funny how you forgot to mention that in your post. It was supposed to work a few patches ago, but it didn't until Plague patch. Guess what side abused this fact and ran Object Of Obsession for free sight on the killer all game?

I've had incredible solo games. My team knew how to do gens, run the killer, and it was a blast, but no one mentions those cuz that disrupts the SOLO IMPOSSIBLE narrative.

NOED is fine, if you get 4k'd by it you're a bad player and deserved to die.

I enjoy playing Solo. Even though, playing Solo is simply RNG, you can get 3 Potatoes, or 3 decent Teammates. But thats how it is with Multiplayergames, I am just used to it. And even if the other 3 persons were SWF, they did not leave me on the hook.

Of course I enjoy SWF more (2 man SWF, I only have one friend playing DBD), because then I know that there is someone who is reliabe (and chatting during playing this game is nice). e.g. you simply get not healed by others when you have one of Pigs RBT on your head. The odds of one of those popping are much lower than getting chased by the Killer again and go down because being a Onehit...

And well, when it comes to Buffs, some things like a Totem Counter would only benefit Solos. A 4 man SWF would not need that, but for Solos (and even the Killer) it would be useful.

Also, this Buffing goes in both directions. Buffs to Killers (or changes/Nerfs to Survivors) affect all Killers. And when you Buff Killers like Trapper, Clown or Doctor with something, Nurse, Spirit and Billy also get buffed, as long as you dont buff specific Add-Ons or Killer Abilities (which needs to happen).

Stop. Letting. The. Game. Play. For. You. This is why DBD isn't scary. The entire survivor experience is a rollercoaster with the devs holding your hands the entire way. Survivors don't even blame bad teams for ######### games, they blame the killers. My team were full on potatoes? That killer was an ######### for playing so sweaty. A totem counter? Really? Keep an eye out for broken/unbroken totems and count them.

You'll probably walk the entire map at least twice, probably more doing gens, getting chased, and avoiding the killer. Your totem counter logic is also flawed. How does that only help solos? Now SWF don't even have to announce they broke a totem, the game just tells you. Hell the notification system is what makes Huntress Lullaby utterly worthless, why Devour Hope is easily dealt with, why Ruin is easily dealt with, etc, etc. The game says, "HEY THERE'S A FREE 1000 BOLD SOMEWHERE AND YOU CAN DROP THE KILLER TO ONLY 3 PERKS ALL GAME!"

I like playing solo with No Mither. I play SWF with No Mither cuz then it's actually a challenge. I make a mistake I actually get punished for it.

  • I love this sense of entitlement. "I equipped the perk, I deserve to use it!" No the hell you don't. If that's the case then stop crying about Iri Heads, Prayer Beads, etc. I bought it, I used it, I can do what I want. I deserve to insta-down you. Just like you apparently deserve a free instant heal from death with little to no effort and 0 counterplay.

Exhaust perks are utterly broken, and completely ruin the momentum of a chase. It doesn't even counter the worst one, SB. You can work around exhaust too. You get hit with it once, you know they have it. Plan ahead. I love how countering killers is 100% fine, but a medicore counter to survivors best perks is suddenly a grave injustice.

Cleansing totems it not more annoying than repairing gens. The issue is that NOED is tied to dull totems and not live ones. If it was just a live totem, I'd have much less of an opposition to it. I don't think it's fair that survivors should have to worry about dull totems. And I think that if they do, they shouldn't have to worry about Bloodlust to compensate. If a killer with either higher base move speed than a survivor (Or blinks if ur the Nurse) cannot catch a survivor, I don't think they deserve a speed boost to get their job done.

Boo hoo? God forbid you do anything outside of run through an ultra safe loop, cow shed, cow tree, killer shack, Haddonfield, 90% of the loops in the game and afk on a generator. I said it once, I'll say it again, BLOODLUST DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. It takes 45s to get to BL 3, which was nerfed. That's over half a generator for a single hit. Devs said chases should be over in 15s. That's why Evader pockets your points in 15s increments. 5 gen, x minutes long chases aren't meant to be a thing.

If they are all at the Exit Gate, yeah, you can push them out. If they are not, nothing can be done about that. And yes, there need to be an option for a Killer to Give Up, once the Gates are open.

But, what you described can also happen with Solos. Even easier than SWF, because if a SWF group decides to take the game hostage, there are more people in the game so the odds are better (even though not really good) to find one of those and maybe get some profit out of their altruism.

I don't mind SWF. I get it's a broken mechanic, but it's a necessary evil. What people seem to dismiss is solos, cuz everyone cries how hard it is. Solos are worse than SWFs, cuz they'll let people die to do gens. They'll let you die first hook for the hatch. A coordinated group of solos is arguably worse. Also, every god damn buff to solos, MAKES SWF STRONGER, yet people keep screaming to buff solos cuz they had a bad game, and that's just not allowed. Survivors are simply not allowed to lose.

Also, no one stays at the exit gate. They ######### around in the map, stay near safe loops to try and cheese some points, then teabag, leave, and talk ######### like they didn't all just burn for Haddonfield and bring Balanced Landing, never leaving Myer's house.

You ignored literally everything I pointed out. So why am I inexperienced or somehow stupider than thou for pointing out that every killer sans the Nurse has a higher base move speed than survivors? Or how bloodlust was added bc killers apparently aren't allowed to get looped by smarter survivors? Or how ranged abilities like those of the Huntress, Plague, or Clown make the act of 1 survivor single handedly holding the killers attention while their friends go out and do gens and totems near impossible?

Every killer except for Freddy, Wraith, and Cannibal, have some kind of innate ability that helps them catch survivors. Nurse is obvious, Billy is obvious, Plague has VP and CP, Spirit has phase walk, Legion has FF, Clown has APT, Pig has lunge, Meyers has stalk which lets him get an insta down, doctor has shock therapy, Hag has blackened catalyst, trapper has traps, etc.

You treat me like I'm stupid, yet you completely ignore every point I make and act like none of it matters simply because you disagree with it. And the patronizing language that you're using is language I don't appreciate. I'm not a child and I don't appreciate being treated like one.

Survivors also get a hit sprint burst, multiple exhaust sprint perks, and multiple totally safe undmindgameable pallets, as well as stuns to gain distance. 115 isn't that fast. It's what .6 meters more?

Bloodlust wasn't created cuz lul good loopers. It was an extremely poor attempt to fix infinites instead of actually fixing the poorly designed, hyper safe maps. It was also nerfed 3 times already. BL is a ######### meme, it doesn't do anything on a safe loop/infinite. Sure as hell doesn't work on Balancedfield. So, that's one wrong already.

Trapper uh, yea he DEFINITELY catches people with his super obvious traps that on one has figured out spots for.

Wraith has his cloak, but he slows down so, kinda does, but not really?

Billy has saw assuming you have a map with good LOS otherwise you can't really use it for mobility.

    Nurse can blink.

Miguel has longer lunge I guess? It doesn't go through pallets, or stop loops, or anything like that, but sure.

Hag has teleports, but that requires survivors to pop the traps so.

Doc uh, he zaps people? They scream? He's annoying?

Huntress assuming you have LOS, the axe doesn't go through someone, yea, she's decent.

LF, that's just laughable. Unless you're in a dead zone or open field get ready to be tenderized cuz he's not using that saw. 0 mobility in fact it hinders him.

Freddy doesn't have speed, but he has a lock-on, auto-aim sleep power. Plus arguably the best mind games.

Pig's charge is only good for unsafe loops, which you should've left already, and slows her down to even slower than survivors.

Clown's gas slows him down more than it does survivors?

Spirit is apparently not a chase killer according to the devs we spoke to, but let's face it that's what she is. Addonless she's eh, but she can work.

Legun can stab you a bunch of times, or moonwalk you, both waste a ######### ton of time when you could just m1 them, but it does help.

Plague's help her catch people in what way? Everything you do slows you. The survivors have total control over your power, and puking doesn't do anything once they're sick. It doesn't stop loops, prevent windows, prevent anything really and it gives them a free 5s heal. What a good catch-up power.

See, this is what happens when you actually play both sides, and every killer. You realize just how poorly designed the balance is.

  • @HazeHound said:

Thing is, when killer dcs, every survivor wins and game ends. When survivor dcs, 3 other survivors will 90% loose and game is still going. Have fun playing any game 3/4.

Comparing these two situations shows that you are biased.

2v1, that's probably a loss depending on how good the runner is. 3/4 you can still win.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Killers should not cherrypick their games. Just accept that you cannot win every game.

Also, nobody will face SWF only.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about straight up not being able to play. Hell I had a group of buddies hold a game hostage for 40m just cuz they could. That's not even bannable cuz, "They're surviving, just push them out." They hid in bushes on Yamaoka just to ######### with some poor LF.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/390479#Comment_390479

IMO the lame part of NOED isn't even the one shot, it's the speed boost. It outright breaks 115 killers and just makes it that much easier to catch people.

I've said this before, but NOED should require 3/2/1 totems to activate. That helps newbies, since they don't have to destroy ALL the totems only 3 if it's tier 1, but keeps it mainly as is for tier 3. And no it wouldn't be like HG where it lights multiple totems, there would just need to be that many totems left on the map and it picks one. And they don't have all need to be dull, just 1 needs to be dull to apply the Hex. So if you run a Hex build with like Ruin, TOTH, HG, and NOED, and they leave a dull totem and HG then NOED will still proc. IMO that's fair and balanced for all parties.

You probably complain that LF one-shots you in an open field too huh?

  • @powerbats said:

More WAH I should be able to exploit a mechanic the devs said if it got abused would be fixed. Now guess what the devs have said they're looking into fixing it because it's a huge exploit.

But typical if it's a killer abuse it's fine but if the survivors exploit something SACRILEGE but if you can only 4k by exploiting that says all we need to know about you.

Ironic given multiple changes to DBD were scrapped cuz, *GASP* survivors were exploiting it. Not like there has been multiple map exploits survivors have been banned for abusing or anything. Only killers do it. Those sweaty killer mains grrrrrrr.

Also, inb4 you're a BH exploiting moonwalking Legion, booo! Nope, play Legion addonless and don't moonwalk. I play as if I had double cd. Get a hit, then chase at 110. People still #########, but you went down to a 110 killer slowly walking up to you, you really aren't helping yourself.

  • Totems are hard to find. :c It's not like they have specific tiles they spawn on EVERY game. Not like they can only spawn on those specific tiles, in specific easily searched spots. It's not like the killer often times run to the totem to check it early giving away it's position. It's not like there's a perk specifically designed to go, 'Hey, totem over here." Oh, I'm sorry, let me fix that last bit, "Hey, free 600-1000 points here. :D"

14s per totem, that's what? 70 seconds overall? Could actually be shot down to roughly 28s~ best case scenario and you all just happen to find totems after spawning. In a match that takes roughly 3-5 minutes? You can spare a minute to do totems. Assuming you're team isn't potatoes or screaming don't do totems do gens and cleanse a few themselves that's even less time.

You totally can't just leave the match since that tricky NOED totem is blocking the exit gate lever, and the gate. :c If only you could remember the spawns and check if it's lit or blow it up or something. NOED really is just so overpowered. I don't understand why it hasn't been nerfed a 4th time already, *sigh*

Why can't they make good, totally balanced perks like Adrenaline or Sprint Burst all the time? Now those are perks that have plenty of counterplay and require skill.

  • @Knayter said:

Not saying the free heal is not good, but it's a risky trade off, a good Plague could cuck everyone over with just a fountain, she can be very powerful under the right hand, not rank 20 killers

4 toolboxes+Coldwind offering is literally unplayable unless you're nurse. even if survivors BURN through pallets you won't be able to stop the genrush.

I'd say slug, but that kinda got hard nerfed. You pretty much lose. It's funny cuz survivors complain about boring games, or games going too fast, but then you spin around and see them DC the minute something goes wrong. They all straddle the same 8 perks, all basically second chances. Won't see anyone swap to say, No Mither to put some fear into your game to really get you to learn how to play.

  • @MhhBurgers said:

I play almost everything, occasionally I'll DC on a sweaty SWF that burned haddonfield after hitting all their stuff with frank's but I can absolutely understand killers that dodge there.

I do my best to avoid dodging/dc, but I don't judge people for leaving an unplayable match. I do mean unplayable, not someone dcing cuz they got found and went down early lol.

  • @MhhBurgers said:

If dodging gets punished say goodbye to your game unless the devs finally decide the direction they want to go with, i.e either balancing for SWF or nerfing SWF accordingly.

This. I'm not gonna play 4 lunchboxes, the gens already go fast enough. Why even let that match start if I know I won't get to play?

  • I believe he did make videos after this one, but I haven't seen him in awhile.

Nobody even screamed that she's too strong in the first place, at least not on high rank PTB. Survivors on lowrank scream that killers are OP all the time anyways, just head over to facebook or reddit. What now? Increase pallet count? Give invulframes on Windows and pallets?

Most, if not everyone agreed she was pretty bad. Even people saying they figured her out, and were saying she was low/mid quickly dropped their stances when survivors started to understand how to counter her.

  • @aderpymuffin said:

Can someone tell me what Killer Instinct is? I've seen it mentioned on legion posts many times but I still have no clue what it is. And what is begrimed?

Whenever you hit a survivor with your power for the first time, you enter Killer Instinct. You can track survivors within you TR and it refreshes your power bar. Begrimed is a debuff that lowers gen repair speed.

  • Yea, no. MLGA lets you do that already, and it was a big problem back in the day where survivors would block particular mains they didn't like.

  • @NeaJovovich said:

I personally don't blame Survivors who DC against completely broken situations like Spirit's Prayer Beads Bracelet, Judith's Tombstone, etc.

It's hilarious. Killer mains whine about "gEnRuShInG" but then they bring meme add-ons or pink Moris that turn the game into Burger King easy mode which ends the round in less than 5 minutes.

The only time I DC is if the Killer is trolling and slugs the entire team >OR< I'm on the hook getting hard camped and my teammates are crouching around not doing gens. Usually, they are wearing the Survivor's default clothes.

It's ironic. I see you cry about biased killer mains when you're bias is so apparent it's kinda unreal. Survivors can do whatever the hell they want, but god forbid a killer use what's on their kit? Are you actually crying about Judith's ######### Tombstone? You can get 3-4 gens done before he hits T3. Are you actually that bad? Genrushing is a real thing, unlike your skill and ability to play this game.

Unlike you, a lot of KiLlEr MaInS actually want balance but you're constant bitching and dismissal of actual issues and imbalances is why we'll never have a normal discourse about the state of the game. Christ survivors are infuriating. You never play killer, pretend you have any clue how the game works, and just constantly derail discussions.

Also, your teammates being trash isn't the killer's fault, why do you survivors keep blaming them? Am I supposed to show mercy cuz Dwight got pissed he went down and dc'd? Cuz someone messed up a loop? Cuz you got sandbagged on accident after a survivor ran past you? I try to play fair, but you all literally want your hands held and act like killers are just babysitters.

Scottjund got 32 wins in a row with speedlimiter leatherface. Guess that doesn't coincide with most survivors just being potatoes.

Yea, I watched those games. Had he only used his chainsaw, sure, but LF is still a 115 killer. His power is pretty awful and often times you'll wanna just M1 instead. Also, I'm pretty sure with meme limiter you can still two hit a survivor. While he's bad, his zoning is insanely good. There's very few killers as scary as LF in the open, or in dead zones where he's cleared out the pallets. Inb4 Plague is 115, yea she is, and she slows herself after doing anything which is why I rate her under LF, who at least has a 1-shot and doesn't have to rely on survivors pouring gas in his tank so he can use his chainsaw for a minute.

  • @ColgateAdvancedWhite said:

Plague should get the red puke by default. Ranged attacks are not unique. Make fountains give her "strong attack" that takes away 2 health states per hit

Here's something nobody seems to be acknowledging:

If the Survivors decide to take a risk and run around with full infection? What about Thantophobia?

It'd certainly encourage Survivors to heal.

And okay, a Survivor wastes gen time going across the map to spite you and use a fountain. … Now nobody can use that fountain. Survivors will now have to use fountains closer to the center of the map.

Vile is meant to stall and get Corrupt. If you want to use Vile offensively, get a target Broken ASAP and then hit them. Survivors, even at rank 1, are easier to down than you'd think, the threat of Broken during a chase applies pressure to even the best loopers.

People also cannot Dead Hard effectively. If they use it and the Killer doesn't lunge and just follows behind them because they predicted it, they've effectively wasted Dead Hard and can now be downed. It only takes a few seconds to get someone to panic and throw out Dead Hard.

And if they Dead Hard to a pallet? Break the pallet. Looping only works if you respect the pallet, taking the pallet can sometimes be best.

Killer shack? If a Survivor tries to fake a vault, stay behind them until you see the animation. This trick only works if you fall for it and lunge without giving them the chance. Make them waste the godpallet. If you make a Survivor use the godpallet, that's a minor victory for you.

And you mean to tell me that a 4 man SWF would take up two valuable perk slots with No Mither and Saboteur on the CHANCE that they'll get No Mither? And a 3rd for Dead Hard? Don't forget that pipping under the new system is impossible if you only do gens. If nobody gets hooked or injured, you'd have to get high amounts in all categories to pip. Or safety pip. Especially at red ranks.

@Caretaker if you are not a hinderance to your team with No Mither on, and are still very effective in a trial by repairing gens and not getting hooked at all during a game, you represent a very, very small minority of players in this community. You're elite, if you aren't lying. The best of the elite. Your opinion should not be trusted. Or should not be the only thing taken into consideration.

If the Survivors decide to take a risk and run around with full infection? What about Thantophobia?

16% at max right? That's still not much. It's like saying 115% is insanely faster than 100. It's what, .3 meters extra a second? Also, if they all just bop your fountains fast enough they auto-cleanse so. Also, that's assuming everyone doesn't heal which I've only had 2 groups do that against me. I barely killed one cuz they admittedly played very poorly and refused to use pallets on The Game for some reason. Other team rushed gens while I got downs, and then healed at the end so no corrupt all game.

It'd certainly encourage Survivors to heal.

Yup, 5s healing vs the usual 30s+ for other killers. Scary.

And okay, a Survivor wastes gen time going across the map to spite you and use a fountain. … Now nobody can use that fountain. Survivors will now have to use fountains closer to the center of the map.

Except fountains spawn like Pig Boxes which spawn AROUND the map, rarely inside or near the middle. Also you have 3 friends, 2 if one is getting chased still on gens. They can also use exhaust perks if they're that desperate to save time.

Vile is meant to stall and get Corrupt. If you want to use Vile offensively, get a target Broken ASAP and then hit them. Survivors, even at rank 1, are easier to down than you'd think, the threat of Broken during a chase applies pressure to even the best loopers.

A really smart looper will make you work to get that broken. You will not puke on them. You'll get a shot or two, but you will not break them quickly. You will waste time extending the loop trying to puke when you could just m1, m1, puke on them and move on. Broken doesn't suddenly make you unable to loop, or make safe loops unsafe.

People also cannot Dead Hard effectively. If they use it and the Killer doesn't lunge and just follows behind them because they predicted it, they've effectively wasted Dead Hard and can now be downed. It only takes a few seconds to get someone to panic and throw out Dead Hard.

That's not how you use DH, proper use of DH is to gain distance and leap through a window, to a pallet, or to extend a loop to get a free stun as they swing. Even if they bait, you still extended the loop.

And if they Dead Hard to a pallet? Break the pallet. Looping only works if you respect the pallet, taking the pallet can sometimes be best.

Don't respect the pallet and you lose your Corrupt Plague. Checkmate Atheists. Also breaking the pallet even with BS/Fire Up(lul), still gives them plenty of distance to get to another loop, pallet, or jungle gym. What are you gonna do? Puke on the broken guy?

Killer shack? If a Survivor tries to fake a vault, stay behind them until you see the animation. This trick only works if you fall for it and lunge without giving them the chance. Make them waste the godpallet. If you make a Survivor use the godpallet, that's a minor victory for you.

Key words with a change up, "If x falls for it". A smart looper will do everything they can to extend that loop and avoid dropping that pallet. If they aren't broken they'll take a hit. Not to mention stand next to the window? You can't hit them. I tried multiple angles, never hit. Her puke sucks that's even if it even hits.

I never run DH with No Mither cuz it's obvious. I run SB so I can get to a loop/traverse the map quickly. As for previous Resil stuff that's 9% to EVERY SINGLE ACTION IN THE GAME. So yea, it adds up. Bad perk or not, it saves times on a lot of things. Oh no, you didn't pip, it's the end of the DBD world. D: They'll play another game.

if you are not a hinderance to your team with No Mither on, and are still very effective in a trial by repairing gens and not getting hooked at all during a game, you represent a very, very small minority of players in this community. You're elite, if you aren't lying. The best of the elite. Your opinion should not be trusted. Or should not be the only thing taken into consideration.

I'm not elite, I'm just not stupid and I know how easy it is to play survivor. Nm, Plunder, Resil, SB is my main build. Meta build for friends cuz they like to win no matter what, but I don't really play surv, and I did mostly solo recently down to 12 from 18. No Mither is an amazing stealth perk, and it doesn't stop you from looping. Yea, it's a risk, but it also teaches you how to be a better player. One-shot is al you get, so you better learn fast how to run loops, how to hide, how to run tiles, how to mind-game, etc.

Also, playing every killer in the game really helps you understand their weaknesses and how to stop them. We meme about getting tunneled as No Mither, but my friends know how terrifying a smart NM player can be.

  • Listen, I advocate for buffs for both sides. I don't roll through the forums screeching that I never have bad games, or that I never die/always die and get tunneled/camped. I back up my claims and prove my experiences and why I think the way I do. That doesn't stop people from bringing up every possible excuse in the book to try and not be wrong.

As for Plague, after 40 hours, she's possibly one of the only killers I might refuse to play. I dislike the low-tiers cuz I don't feel I'm in control. I still have ways to make them fun, play, and try, but they're not super fun cuz it's a struggle, not a challenge. That's what a lot of killers want. If you get off the forums, stop falling for bait/bad players comments, people would realize there's a lot more to the arguments presented.

If survivors drop a bug, or say hey this is weak. I'll listen. Idgaf, buff the weaker perks. Alert was a great change. The aura read distance cut was stupid. Buff other crappy perks, for both sides. Variety is good, we need that. There isn't any variety cuz there's only 4-5 killers that can really stand a chance right now against even a modicum of coordination.

I don't want to tunnel, I don't wanna camp, I wanna play the game. However, when I find someone, chase them, hook them, and two gens pop hatch is now active. Now I gotta really apply pressure. If more gens pop I might have to avoid my usual rule of 2 hooks each before killing and hard tunnel that player out of the game. No one likes that but with Plague you have to apply pressure differently seeing as healing isn't a thing with her.

  • Imagine having to throw Nerf Hatchets at Survivors and unless they take the foam hatchets to a locker cuz they're kinda annoying to see on their screen, you don't get real hatchets at all.

She's a flamethrower Killer who walks like a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race.

She's not the worst Killer by a stretch. You K-Mains kill me with your whining wanting every Killer to have superspeed like Billy and Nurse.

On top of that, you say she has too many counters? Well, that's the point. You try to juke the Billy revving. You try to juke the Nurse clenching her fist. With the Priestess, you run around a wall. Legion has no counter and that's why people DC.

Good grief, pick a stance and actually believe in it, K-Mains.

Unlike you whining survivor mains, we actually get good and understand both sides. It's why we laugh when you post something this insanely stupid. She is the worst killer, and I say this after 40+ hours as well as 100%ing the game and having all killers P3. No one said they wanted another Billy and Nurse, or anything about speed? Stop throwing random assumptions out and pretending like anyone actually wants that. Every single one of you does this, and it's why no one takes survivors seriously. You're a ######### hive mind that wouldn't know balance if Thanos snapped.

What's the point of having so many counters you're worthless? A counter is fine, maybe two. She has MULTIPLE including game breaking bugs that stop you from using her power altogether. Can you name her counters? You seem to know her pretty well, but I bet you don't play her at all despite pretending you have any clue what you're talking about. Juke a Billy? Juke left or right, get to a jungle gym, you can do it. Is it easy, no, but it's possible.

Juke a Nurse? That's easy, stop running back and being predictable. Use LOS, use verticality, STEALTH HER. You can see how she blinks, work around it, hug debris so she hits it instead of you. Stop short, then run forward. Sit at a pallet and slam it in her face for free time/points.

Legion does have counters. Bait the pallet and stun, if they moonwalk it still takes 30s to bleed out. While frenzying they can't see marks and blood is hard to see without Bloodhound. I don't really see many doing that either. Frank's is rough, but you can still do gens. I base their power on their base kit, not addons.

Very similar to huntress indeed. If you can handle huntress, she will be better. but plague doesnt need good aim, you can just spray&pray. I think she has her niche in that regard.

Broken is not a joke. Permanent EW3, No Mither, Noed, Iri hatchets and Chainsaws are no joke. Its the breaking point where ######### gets serious. The difference between normal wraith and noed wraith is gigantic. Just like EW2 myers and EW3 myers. Running around broken is an invitation to get snowballed, my 2c.

Broken is a joke. I literally run No Mither against normal killers, you think broken scares me? You think it suddenly stops them from looping or hiding? This is the problem, you all look at one simple little thing and ignore literally everything else in the game. Perma E3 is strong cuz he could have a tombstone, and/or he has longer lunge, faster vault speeds, and isn't slowed by using his power. It also takes FOREVER to get and you can usually rush gens before he hits 3 if you play right.

NOED? Cleanse the totems, NOED isn't scary. If you get 4k'd by NOED you're bad. Sorry the truth hurts, but there it is. You don't HAVE to save someone, get out. Iri Hatchets got nerfed, and you can still use LOS, dodge, there is counterplay. I won't deny it's extremely difficult, but it's also an UR that drops you down to 1 hatchet, and requires a purple to be really effective.

Billy's chainsaw isn't a joke, you can avoid it though. LF's chainsaw? That's a joke. There is 0 difference between normal Wraith and NOED Wraith except my Wraith has 4 perks all game, instead of 3 and I don't risk losing it end-game. The difference between EW2 and EW3 isn't just the down. It's longer lunge and vault speed which is HUGE. He can also pocket it and is mobile with it meaning you, the killer, can use it when it's effective unlike Plague who relies on Survivors to give her power.

I had a group run around broken. They still just rushed my gens and only got a 4k cuz they a made really bad play and I managed to catch them in unsafe areas. They got a bit cocky, and altruistic. Had they just finished the gens, I'd have never won. I didn't get my corrupt plague once that entire game. To give you an idea about how bad they were, they dropped the god pallets immediately when I wasn't even chasing them. One guy ruined their safest spot.

Coordinated solos, can utterly stomp a Plague. You get warned when she gets her corruption, she glows bright red, she's super ######### tall, has a normal TR. You can literally just stealth her. No TR? Do gens. TR/see her? Stealth/run to a jungle gym/area to avoid her.

Exactly what you can say for the survivors that you seem to think that they all should die and never escape for your 4k, don't you think?

No one said this though, and this absurd bias and speed to just jump to conclusions and toss this argument needs to stop. NO ONE IS ASKING FOR FREE 4KS. You all want fun games, but you finish a game in 3 minutes, talk #########, and then get mad about every perk/killer under the sun. Just stop.

How do you have fun with a killer that's bad and can be destroyed?

I like how people somehow think getting utterly stomped is fun. Having an intense game is fun, watching gens pop left and right after a short chase isn't. Plague doesn't even have the luxury of survivors possibly healing against you since you get a full one at a fountain meaning she gets even LESS pressure. It's amazing how bad she is, but people keep screeching she's op.

Because like Legion, 3 seconds after every Plague match begins everyone leaves and I'm left alone wondering what happened:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/562/XOMNUASQ1I84.png

That is a major bug that affects both killers and survivors. If you hear a sound, they left the match. No sound means they were kicked from the match or pulled the plug. A LOT of people including myself have been kicked or had survivors randomly ejected from the game. It's super frustrating.

  • I'm so tired of, "It's too oppressive." Are we killing people or taking them on a nice stroll through Red Forest? Multiple sprints, free full heals, totally safe un-mindgameable loops, weak killer after weak killer, baseline mechanics to counter killer perks and powers+perks to do it too. Can we get anything, with any kind of power? Not once in the 3 years I've seen this game grow have I seen, "It wasn't fun for killers." However I'm sure I can do a quick search and find multiple instances of, "It wasn't fun for survivors."

I can go into multiple reasons why Plague is bad, show that I've been playing her for over 30+ hours, show my points, and people would simply respond with, "You don't know how to play her." "You're just bad." "Git gud." You'll never see that for a survivor who runs in a straight line and gets broken though.

She needs work. Also, she has 0 brutality gain, and using her power stops you from gaining it altogether unless you break something, or just m1. She's not scary. She's not good, she doesn't get any points. The only redeeming quality is she's got an interesting design. That's it. It is more efficient to just M1 them twice, and then puke on them.

Then again they'll just go heal and completely ignore the time gain you get from healing. Not that it took long before, but nah. I also love how you lose your power when stunned too, cuz the only thing she gets that's remotely powerful has to be just turned off. Not like you lose a ton of time going to the fountain in the middle of god damn nowhere, and wasting the timer desperately searching for someone so you can get a down with it.

This obsession with only focusing on whether or not survivors are having fun, is creating this massive sense of entitlement. I had someone get mad I killed them after the gates were powered. "We did all the gens, you lost, I deserve to escape." You can't make this crap up. I already have games where people never heal, cuz why would you? Just rush the gens, 99%, then heal to full and Adren. That's even if you get caught. Just adren to a fountain heal to full, open the gate, leave.

Apparently the numbers are down, and I can tell you without a doubt, it's not cuz Plague is good.

  • @fluffybunny said:

@Maximus7 @Caretaker When I'm talking about hitting over objects, I'm talking about arching it so that it hits right next to it where the Huntress usually can't. You can also spray and pray with the Plague, which you can't do with the Huntress. I thought she was fair during the PTB. If the speed reduction makes her so much harder to play, then (as I said before) I'd be up for her getting her speed back while she held it. I wasn't aware she got a speed reduction while holding her vomit (other than the initial one). I'm just not sure if it's the case of people not knowing how to play her and being quick to call her bad 'cause you're trying to play her a certain way and it isn't working. I don't think she's as weak as you guys are saying she is.

40 hours on Plague so far. 100% the game too. She slows when charging, slows while holding, slows while puking, and has a Legion style slow after finishing. I think it's longer if they break. That speed on PTB was the only thing keeping her relatively ok, cuz she was awful on the PTB too. People wanna keep dismissing claims and say no one knows what to do, when killers aren't that hard to play. This isn't rocket science, there isn't some hidden combo move to make them good.

She's got a super bloated kit, that's full of self-counters, actual counters, and very few if any upsides. A good runner can keep you busy even if they do get sick/broken. Running a circle around debris means you cannot follow and puke, or you'll just curve around the debris and miss. You could stop and puke on them, cool. You have accomplished nothing but extending the loop, and that's about it. You could probably get an M1, maybe 2 in the time it takes you to "break" a good player.

Yea, you can flick, and you can get some cheeky hits, but again I can just do that as Huntress. Most tall walls/the way the puke works you won't hit them, in fact the way the puke flicks/is a bit delayed they can use a thin wall and completely avoid your puke. I can at least get a cheeky shot with Huntress. I can also arc over debris with the right LOS, faster shots, don't have to let survivors give me hatchets. Also reloading doesn't bloody heal the survivors to full health after 5s. God healing on fountains is so bad.

In fact that's something that really hurts her. You get 0 time gain from people healing. Why do that when they can get sick and heal in 5s instead of 30+? That loss of healing time makes already fast games even faster. Toss in lunchboxes and Prove Thyself+coordinated groups rushing gens and you'll be lucky you black pipped/got a kill at all.

    proof.png

Surv achieves were super easy, I'll be generous and say about 8 or so of those hours were on survivor but it's probably less. A couple games for dailies on other killers. Maybe an hour on Diddler trying to get a mori daily done. The rest? All Plague, from about 10-4 where I've been hovering around cuz of dcs, dcing from 2v1, 1v1, 3v1, etc. Games where survs dc'd so I didn't pip.

Also played her with her HORRIBLE point gains through 2 prestiges. The only redeeming thing she has is Corrupt Plague, which isn't even that amazing, you'll be lucky to get a down with it, assuming you don't lose a gen/time running to grab a fountain if you so choose to do. Assuming they don't stealth/know how to run tiles, etc. It CAN be really good, and I know some tricks with it, and it can machine gun. It's only god for about 1 down though. 1/12 hooks assuming they even healed so you can get Corrupt and aren't stuck as an M1 killer with no power, literally.

    20190324171824_1.jpg

Proof of rank^. Inb4 quad iri she must be good. Nah, they made a TON of mistakes and I know how the emblems work. Every game gens have gone so fast it's unreal, and all I can do is eat pallets/unfortunately tunnel someone out of the game to try and get some pressure/time back in a lot of games. Which I don't really like doing, but new system+gens never been faster, gotta play a bit sweaty sadly.

There actually is. The counter is something that doesn't require any perk at all, which is a big part of the rework of that perk. To stop it from ever activating you can just chase a different survivor. Having an additional perk to hard counter to a very situational perk would be excessive, though, so it's not really necessary.

If we were talking old DS, sure, I'd be with you 100%. It was incredibly easy to pull off so having it be affected by enduring was fair game. But new DS is very situational and the killer has the option to ensure it never gets used, effectively making you waste a perk slot. Adding the possibility for it to be negated by a perk on top of that is redundant.

Counterplay is great and I'd always like to see everything have some counterplay, but too much just leaves whatever you're countering to be completely useless.

I had a game where I just snowballed and got DS'd cuz I found the same guy after hooking someone else. Didn't tunnel them, didn't know it hadn't been a minute, didn't wanna slug cuz I wanted to keep my momentum. Not everyone runs Enduring, nor is it even good on a good chunk of killers technically. The big problem I see is it makes end-game hyper safe. It's better than old DS, but still has issues.

"Counterplay is great and I'd always like to see everything have some counterplay, but too much just leaves whatever you're countering to be completely useless."

    So, like the Plague?

STOP TRYING TO PUKE ON SURVIVORS AT LOOPS.

Really just do a quick spray to get them sick and hit them normally. It's like Billy or LF chainsaw, if you rev the saw at a loop you most likely won't get them so just go through the loop and hit them normally. You should only be trying to get them into Broken when they are in bad positions where you can unload the whole puke. OR do little pukes hear and there just to increase the sickness bits at a time. Effectiveness add-ons FTW.

Why bother puking then? Just m1 them, puke them on the ground. She's bad, it's ok to admit it.

  • @fluffybunny said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/388730#Comment_388730

You can hit over objects, which is something Huntress can't do, because of the curve. Isn't this an issue of people not wanting to learn a new killer? If you get a survivor while they're out positioned, you can spray them with your vomit and then one down them. That's something only a few killers can do since when you hit the survivor, they typically get a speed boost and can run towards a safer area. I haven't had troubles with her personally, but the people I'm facing aren't really the best since I'm stuck in higher ranks thanks to the new ranking system.

While her slow affect could be reverted for all I care, you do realize it notifies the killer of the survivor's position essentially when they cleanse, right? And once again, it gives you one of the strongest aspects of hers.

Actually yes she can hit over objects, and do damage when she does it. Do you actually play Huntress? Have you never watched Umbra, Scott, Ralph? They literally broke the ability to throw over objects for 6 months, then nerfed her after fixing it. Thanks, BHVR! o/

Without relying on a survivor healing to obtain that power. I've been playing her since release, through 2 prestiges now. Using multiple perk and addon combos at red ranks.

That's assuming they run in a straight line. If they're not totally inept and swerve around it takes multiple pukes to down them. By then they're at a pallet, a loop, a gym, something, where it'd be more efficient to just m1 on them instead.

The entire time you are puking on them, unless they run in a straight line they will get to a safer area. You also act like maps are just wide open spaces. There's like 2 and they're full of corn/debris anyway.

I've taken her all the way down to rank 4/3 where gens pop so fast no one pips unless I play super sweaty and ignore my power unless they screw up and pick a fountain too close. It also notifies THEM when you get your power and you glow bright red. Except that's actually helpful for survivors, unlike her.

I'm pipping with her, but you're not. Yet she's a good killer? I guarantee play any other killer. One you're more familiar with, even a weaker killer. You'll pip fine.

Oh yea, a super loud DING that I can't see if I'm out of range. Yea, wow. That bright white fountain will surely have a survivor next to it, after I walk back across the map to check it. You're so smart you silly goose. Just cuz it's a minor boost in power, doesn't mean it's good. Corrupt can be completely negated by not healing, or abusing jungle gyms/loops where she just can't puke and chase. Or you can stealth, that's not hard against the bright red embodiment of death by snu snu.

  • @fluffybunny said:

Her power can still be used to one-down people if you get them in an open area and if people cleanse, you have an ability that can hit through people and get them from further away. I don't know why anyone thinks the Plague is weak.

I'm glad it's not bugged and sometimes doesn't hit. I'm glad it's super easy to aim and doesn't curve making it impossible to hit around corners. I'm glad it goes through walls. I'm glad it doesn't slow you down extending the loops and making it impossible to hit. Also, "If you get them in an open area." So, something any killer can do, except more efficiently? I don't know why anyone thinks she's strong, but I will assume you're the kinda champion that runs in a straight line and wonders why you broke so fast.

Also implying broken stops loops or pallets. Amazing

If people cleanse. Yup, I love my power being in survivors hands and fully healing them. Thanks BHVR, very cool. She's been out for what, about a a week and people are already hard countering her with baseline mechanics in the game? What a stellar killer.

As I've unfortunately said too many times before, it's back to business as usual. BVHR doesn't seem to be interested in promoting a more varied killer pool for the higher ranks. It's just confusing how they'll release changes for the game that hint they'd like it to be taken somewhat seriously (the recent ranking changes), but in the same swing release yet another 'ok' killer that can't compete at the higher ranks. Mixed message city.

Hell even at lower ranks she struggles. Fungoose has been posting vids of him solo bullying Plagues to the point they don't get hardly any hooks if any at all. He asked everyone to point a known Clown main streamer. People don't play these killers cuz they're just bad and you can only have so much fun getting utterly stomped and insulted.

  • @Peanits said:

It does basically sound like a longer borrowed time to me as well. I think the current DS is mostly fine, the stun just needs to be treated like a normal wiggle and be immune to enduring.

Why are we not allowed to have counters? Real talk. Why can survivors have multiple perks/in-game mechanics to counter not only our perks but our powers, but we actually have a straight counter and everyone wants DS buffed so we can't counter it anymore?

  • @BadMrFrosty said:

You can tell the developers don't have any kind of top tier play in mind when they design killers. In about a week or less survivors have adapted to the Plague and I've been seeing her a lot less. It's a shame since her appearance and mechanics are well done.

Her three major weaknesses are things that cannot be excused in a killer:

    • Poor map pressure, mobility, and chase potential.

For a killer to be considered viable and strong in Dead by Daylight, they need to have at least two of those advantages, but preferably all three. With the speed in which generators are completed (being the only true objective survivors have), killers that do not have the ability to pressure the map by chaining quick downs will -never- be considered strong.

Unless the developers are willing to alter, change, or add to the core mechanics of the game, this will always be the case.

100%. She's so amazingly well designed, but in-game she's easily the worst killer in the game which is sad. I love her cosmetics, I love her map, Red Forest especially. I like playing as her, but the frustration you feel from seeing puke just go through people. Hit, but not actually do damage. Having a ton of people sick, then suddenly full health as your gens pop. I really hope they at least address the grind/core soon.

I don't want to have to sweat every game. I want to give people a fun time, but I just can't if I want any kind of chance at pipping, or getting points.

  • No one's playing Plague cuz she's terrible. Has awful point gains. Not to mention gens have been popping so fast, it's impossible to even play the game. Find someone, down them quickly, 3 gens pop. "JuSt PaTroL tHe GeNs".

  • Her being 115 doesn't really make her any stronger. You can literally turn off her power, then she's just a normal m1 killer. If that was so scary, Trapper wouldn't be low-tier. Neither would Doc or any other 115 M1 killers. A power should be strong, and you should want to use it. With Plague you get punished for it despite it being how you're pushed to play her. That doesn't make sense to me.

bruh noed is a big crutch for baby killers who cant kill all survivors before all gens are completed and besides noed IS the counter to adrenaline anyways and they even buffed noed for all you crybabys out there so even if it gets a nerf so what git gud or get lost

If you all 4 die to NOED, you're bad, and you deserved to die.

"No one said genrushing wasn't a legit strat? We said it's broken and too easy. Keep up chief, xd."

you should assume so goes with camp and tunnel that you are defending as it would be your own child

Bithard is 100% right about your responses

(that may not be to you Caretaker) but i love how 200-800h players are talking about stuff being too hard, or "you cant stop looping" xD as 1st this isnt e-sport you dont need to 4k every game or escape everygame, as 2nd you will never acknowledge someone can be better than you and do stuff better so you could have goal to be better to play better but nah just tunnel and tell its EZ game, i wrote that because of some reviews

"So I've had a lot of time put into this game despite the fact that I absolutely hate the decisions the devs make, the game itself is beautiful and brilliant except for the fact that you only have one way of escaping (generators) which can be rushed by survive with friends team or even a decent rando team" ~killer main with 247h xDDDD "ive had a lot of time put into this game" 247h "a lot" xDD

Uh, not sure what you mean tbh. As for me going on 1700 hours, play both sides, 5 4k's off 100%. Yea, of course low hour players say it's too hard, or that killing is easy, cuz that's how it is. Starting killer is super easy cuz survivors are potatoes, then it shifts as you rise up in the ranks.

lmao exactly what I said would happen DID happen. I finally double pipped as the Plague during a 4k. unlocked

I was curious to see if after the patch a 4k without a double pip gave me the trophy. As I am 99% sure that was always the case before. I had 4ked 2 times prior as Plague.

OG Adept was 4k cuz that was the Victory Cube. Now they finally fixed it to be Merciless.

That's fine, I fully agree that camping and tunnelling work and work in a lot of cases. I do think it is boring and I also think sitting on generators is boring.

If I don't though 9 times out of 10 nothing gets done and the 3 randoms I am paired with get me killed.

The game needs a variety of objectives on both sides to make it more interesting.

100% agreed. Glad to see more people realizing what the problem is.

I don't complain about a non Deep Wounds Legion though, like I said 1 M1's only but does use his power to move across the map quick. The person knows how to path since they play Nurse and other characters all the time.

My don't play Legion=profit was intended as highly sarcastic.

I know, but I also know a lot of Legun mains like to just slap on Frank's and go to town since emblems for Legion are so easy to get it's unreal. Also, that wasn't aimed at you, it was a general comment. :P
