I know Autodidact in theory could be a really useful perk. The problem with it is that it's too unreliable. You're at the mercy of RNG, which means sometimes you can get loads of skillchecks when healing and other times you get zero. In average I get 3 stacks everytime I use the perk, which means that it was more of a hinderance cause it cost me more time to use it than it has saved me. I remember yesterday when I tried using it, I managed to get 5 stacks once and that's because I went all out on getting them. Even then I once did a full Sloppy Butcher heal and got 0 skillchecks. I'd put the perk in my main build if they increased the chance of getting skillchecks when using it.
-
Wish their addons would get touched a bit since it's the only good ones are batteries and the amp. The other don't really do anything.
-
I get how Ruin can be boring to go against every match, I feel the same way but I'm not any better. I use it on most of my M1 killers too.
BBQ has so many counters I don't think anyone should be complaining about it. Like, hide behind a gen, hide in a locker, stand still for 4 seconds, walk in one direction for 4 seconds then turn around, run Distortion etc
It's a nice tracking tool and gives some easy double bloodpoints in this grindy game.

That's not how that works. The PTB should always be open for people to test literally everything before buying it. Why make people go through the 1000 different opinions on a killer when deciding whether to buy them or not, when they can test it for themselves for a few games and develop their own opinion on it? Or do you not care what people think about things outside of things that are brand new? Oh and also, going by your logic of "playing clown on plague when we need Freddy feedback", then every killer should be disabled except for the one that got attention that PTB, right?
Honestly I wish they'd actually lock other killers except for the brand new one when they have a DLC PTB or a PTB focusing on a specific killer. Like, during Nurse PTB I encountered way more Spirits and Huntress' even though that hadn't been changed at all. During the Stranger Things PTB I met way more Spirits and Hillbillys than Demo. Some of them rocking the strongest addons and moris. That's an easy DC from me, cause I came to the PTB to test the new stuff, not to test someones Prayer Beads, Ebony Mori Spirit.

This is honestly amazing. Except for the sound of the video. The ingame sound seemed to get more out of sync the longer the video went on. Really was a pain for me to watch.😅 Loved both the peoples personalities.

Wouldn't say that Bamboozle needs a change. The perk is already braindead easy to use and carries a lot of killers that don't know how to mindgame Shack, jungle gyms and L and T walls. I see why they made the perk for God loops like Ironworks, but it's already a really strong perk with very little counterplay.
Thrilling tremors sounds like a stronger version of Surge. Blocks generators AND regresses them for at least 20 seconds? Works on all gens on the map while Surge only works within your terror radius, your terror radius idea for Surge also really hurts Stealth killers or killers was lower movement speed. Only thing Surge does better than Thrilling in this case is that it works on gens survivors are working on. Though that quaranteed 6% regression is nothing against the 20% quaranteed regression from Thrilling.
You've got some really interesting ideas. I like most of them, though Bamboozle doesn't need a buff and maybe you wanna rework Thrilling or Surge so they don't remind that much about each other.

Meant to click Almost Never. I've only used it a couple of times since Clown came out, but that was for my "Neverending" medkit build, where I use that, Botany and Streetwise.

I love when killers protect their Ruin all game as if they couldn't play without it. I've once had a match against a Hag that wanted to protect her totem so badly she only chased survivors away from it but never committed to any chase. A random and I somehow got to the agreement we'd take turns trying to get the totem, and while she tried to chase us away, the other two others seemed to have figured out what we were doing and just did gens. We never got to break the totem, even when there was only 1 gen left she still protected it and didn't commit to a chase. We all escaped and in the end game we got called "toxic gen rushers".
I honestly have no problem with the perk cause I can hit great skillchecks like 70% of the time. It just gets boring going against the same perk again and again, but I understand why people use it. I use it on my M1 killers as well on other killers with good map pressure I use Pop.
Also as someone said, the perk is a game changer on lower rank, where people can't hit skillcheck reliably. So most people are willing to go down trying to get the totem.
-
I've introduced 4 people to the game at different times. Each one of them thought Exposed meant killers could see their aura. People learn it eventually, but it's very misleading and can confuse new players.
-
Wouldn't mind killers getting to keep their addons if they sacrificed (not mori'd) 3 survivors. This wouldn't include ultra rares though for obvious reasons. After all if survivors use their ultra rare addons (bnp/instaheal) then they lose them as well. Also if 2 survivors DC'd from the match sounds fair enough as well. Would reward killers for doing well.
-
For both circumstances it's not fun and rather boring. You make one mistake that makes you go down and now you're under the killers mercy.
For camping imagine getting DS stunned as killer and the stun lasts for 2 minutes. That's basically 2 minutes where you can't do anything and don't get to play the game. You're just on the hook until you die. Extremely boring and there's nothing you can do to counter it.
For tunnelling it's not that fun either. You get unhooked and you get downed immediatly. Maybe there's no pallets around? Maybe you don't have DS or an exhaustion perk to help you escape? Maybe the unhooker doesn't have BT? You get unhooked and go down again, you don't get to play the game.
They're good strategies depending on circumstances. Like, patrolling if all gens have been powered, there's nothing else the killer can do. Tunnelling a survivor if there's 1 gen left and you really want that kill. I see nothing wrong with that. But I've met killers (especially Doctors since they can do the Treatment grab or LF/Billy with their instadown) that down their first survivor with Ruin up and just camp them. Then by the time the first survivor has been sacrificed Ruin has probably been cleansed and they go for another surv, camp them and by the time the last gen has popped they get a third surv with NOED. They don't pip from that, they just wanna ruin peoples experience and enjoy the salt.
-
Would be really cool and especially useful for male survivors. They can't hide behind trees as well as females, since their arm stick out a lot further. I try hiding behind a tree but Quentin just wants to show his right arm to the killer.😥
-
I am very pleased with EGC. I'll never forget a game I had back before the EGC update.
Was playing Billy and got 3 survivors sacrificed before a single gen was done. The last survivor hated me so much I walked around the map and did nothing for almost 15 minutes, he wanted to drag the game out so much until I decided to DC. Luckily I found him at the 15 minute mark and sacrificed him. Though those 15 minutes were the most horrible and boring minutes of my time playing DbD.
I'm pleased with the EGC change. Don't think killers need an equelivant of hatch. Can it feel unfair at times? Yes, but I play both sides and a lot of solo survivor and I hate when I do well but my team drags me down. As a killer I usually give last survivor hatch anyways cause I see doublepipping more like a curse than a blessing.
-
I've always had this funny idea that Deja Vu could be an anti Pop perk. Like, it works as it does now with highlighting generators but also had another effect.
"When you repair a regressed generator you repair it 20/25/30% faster until you reach the point it started regressing"
That'd make it useful so that new players can locate new generators but also make it a somewhat counter to Pop Goes the Weasel that more experienced players can use. Wouldn't make the perk meta at all, cause of how situnational it is, but certainly a bit stronger.
-
Skillchecks are client based, the devs said so during a stream. So dedicated servers have no impact on the accuracy. Maybe you've just improved and gotten better at hitting them?

It is entirely frustrating and gives killers free hits. Even when I play killer, it feels completely awful and unfair.
For the last clip. You've always been able to walk over your trap right after putting it down. I've done that a lot even before dedicated servers.
I managed to play a bit of killer and it seems pretty nice. No rubberbanding, but sometimes when getting stunned I freeze for like a second before going into the animation, same with breaking pallets and gens. I've had hits on survivors I didn't agree with the game on. Like someone had finished throwing down a pallet and I still managed to hit her.
My Huntress hatchets seem to go through survivors sometimes and other times I hit them without actually hitting them. She seems a bit off.
I tried playing Michael and sometimes when you tier up into tier 3 you go back down to tier 2. It's a bit odd. Chainsaw hits are also a bit odd. When playing Bubba I had a Jeff run right through my chainsaw. I have the opposite issue with my Billy, hitboxes are very generous with him. Hitting around corners, autoaim hitting the surv for me etc.
So my only issue at the moment is hitboxes are really off, especially for hatchets. I get a solid 60 ping each game.

Here's how I counterplay Spirit
- Hit ESC and then Leave Game
- ######### on first hook
Ok.. ok.. I'll stop
- You can hear her footsteps while she's phasing, if you have a decent headset that should be no problem. It's harder during a chase or you hear the phasing sound. It's great when she's got Prayer Beads.
- Watch out for crows. People believe you can see if Spirit is phasing by looking at grass, but it actually doesn't move when she's phasing. Crows however still get disturbed.
However if you're in a chase with her and you're injured without Iron Will, then pray that your teammates will save you, cause you're going on that hook no matter what.

Your idea would make a meta defined by characters instead of perks. Nobody wants a meta character, especially in dbd where the devs always say no to giving survivors stat changes. Neat idea but it only can work if it were introduced at launch
Yeah, that was what I was trying to say by we'd be seeing more Billy and Megs. Billy is strong by default and Enduring is already a meta perk, then you could just add 4 other meta perks to him. Then Meg cause she's a popular survivor and Adrenaline is meta. I don't think it's a good idea either. Just saying that I can't see 5 perks being a good idea no matter how you implement it.
-
It's sounds like an interesting idea and a way for people to use non meta perks and more diverse builds. But like @yandere777 said, it's just gonna make people add another meta perk to their build. They could make it something like each character could have a fifth perk that's their own teachable. Though, that'd mean you'd see Megs with Adrenaline, DH, DS, BT and IW/BL and Billys with Enduring, Spirit Fury, Pop, BBQ and Ruin. In the end it'd end up becoming even stale like it is now.
-
I like the idea of the rework a lot! Though I feel like it might have a bit too many advantages. You've basically taken Iron Will and Lightweight and putting it into the perk. So it's like 3 perks in one. I know you have to "work" to get those advantages, but still seems fairly strong. I'm all up for aura reading getting reduced for each hook though, that'd make the game actually useful. Then keep the bleeding effect and grunts reduced by like 50%, so it doesn't overshine Iron Will.
-
DH is fine as it is now. Sometimes you're lucky and you can use it to dash to a pallet. If you're out in the open it buys you like 5 seconds before going down. Killers can bait out DH or wait for it. Sometimes when I DH to get to a window/pallet I get hit anyways. Sometimes you use DH but get hit by the killer again, leaving you on the ground with exhaustion or on the ground shaking. I've also had killers swing outlast my DH and hit my anyways.
My friend that has 300 hours in the game still doesn't know how to use the perk properly and uses it pretty badly and when I play killer I see people use DH for no reason, so I don't agree with the part that even bad survivors know how to use it.
Also right now on these dedicated servers the perk works like 40% of the time. So I'd say that DH is fine.
-
As a Quentin main I support this! My poor boy needs some love and his perks a rework.
2 of his perks had their time in the spotlight but have then been indirectly nerfed. First Vigil with the exhaustion nerf and then Wake Up was bugged but fixed (luckily)
Now Pharmacy is getting an indirect nerf with the new medkit update.
I actually got Vigil while levelling up Nancy recently and I was like "What is this perk?". Had completely forgotten it existed.
Bhvr, please give my boy some love. He really needs it.😥

Instaheals and instadown/moris are 3 mechanics that have been causing a lot of debate lately. Most people agree Ebony Moris are too strong and encourage tunnelling, instaheals were complained about cause they could end any pressure killers had in a matter of seconds and instadowns like iri heads are no fun to go against.
You chose to address the instaheals without addressing the two other issues. Are moris and instadowns something you're gonna take a look at in the future? Why'd you choose to only address one sides issues (killers) without addressing the other(survivors)?

@Michael7509 said:
Oh and dead hard is also messed up to the maximum. Most of the time, I'll use it, it won't dash, and I get downed. The thing is, I still get the exhaustion effect still, even though the perk didn't actually work.
Oh yeah, I forgot to name that part. DH doesn't work like 50% of the time. Had multiple times where I pressed it early but got hit anyways. Either I'd get exhausted on the ground or I'd do the Dead Hard shakes (where you get downed and just shake on the ground for a bit).
-
Lobbies I get sent to have decent ping, but hitboxes are atrocious. Had Billys chainsaw me through corners, Huntress hatchets hit me even though they didn't on my screen, had hatchets fly right through me, been hit through pallets even though I shouldn't and also not been hit at pallets even though I should, hit after vaulting a window and taking two steps away from it. My favorite part is when a Billy hit a rock with his chainsaw, as he was in the start of his "bump into something" animation he magically downed me as well.
Everything else seems nice, no stuttering or lagspikes. Just dumb hitboxes.

So when does his movement speed and lunge in evil 1 increase to stay more consistent with other stealth killers?
You'd have to tier up to get that benefit. Other stealth killers are slower than survivors and/or can't attack while in stealth (except GF), so if you were to make it more consistent he shouldn't be able to attack or catch up to survivors while in tier 1. :)

Plague body, Spirit and Clowns weapons and Jakes 3 pieces. Not really a fan of this years killer cosmetics (Except Plagues body), but shiny weapons are always nice.

Why would they be in the Archive? Michael's cosmetics are exclusive to him and are only unlocked once he's fully P3'ed.
So I don't see why they'd have those cosmetics in the Archive. Maybe they'll have something like The Pigs cosmetics or GhostFaces cosmetics that're buy-able already in the store?
But as far as I've heard and seen, the Archive has its own exclusive cosmetics with trickles of store cosmetics spread around. But the main cosmetics within The Rift are exclusive to The Rift.

Don't have a picture of it since it happened like a month ago. On my survivor bloodweb the luckiest I've been was getting Decisive Strike, a purple flashlight, purple key, a party streamer and 3 cakes in the same bloodweb.
As killer it was recently on Demogorgon where I got Ruin and BBQ in the same bloodweb alongside 2 puddings, a streamer and an ebony (I don't use those, just collect them for dailys)

My guess is The Alchemist is the guy from last years event that's taking killers and injecting the serum into them.

This buff would be perfect in a world where MoM could be activated

@Kabu said:
The first suggestion about making iniured sounds omni directional while phasing would not be a good change at all. A better suggestion would be to add a "tell" when Spirit is phasing.
But that's not gonna help much if you're injured, she'd still be able to pinpoint exactly where you are. Leaving injured survivors no way to mindgame her. Her "wooshing" sound is non-directional, so why shouldn't the sounds for her not be? This way it becomes a guessing game for both sides.
It'll work kinda like Huntress. You can hear that she's around and coming closer to you, but you have no idea from which direction. Could work the same way for Spirit. She can tell that an injured survivor is around and that she's getting closer to them, but she won't know in which direction they are. This leaves injured survivors more options.
-
@Ihatelife said:
What change do you suggest for Prayer Beads? You cannot just simply remove it.
I don't have any idea, I'm just asking for a rework. If Spirit was to follow the trend that other killer have gotten lately it'd probably be something along with "Hitting a survivor after phasing, the survivor will be affected by the Mangled status effect for x amount of time" but we all know those are some of the most boring addons killers can have.
Edit: Came up with an idea in main post
-
I think it's gonna be instaheal nerfs to make them heal over time, like they said they wanted to do once. They got the function to work with Second Wind, so I assume they're gonna use it for those two addons. I also hope they're updating a lot of the useless addons, like skillchecks being bigger,
-
I've only had it be useful to me once and that was during PTB. Was getting tunnelled by Freddy and I manage to run him around for the time it took the perk to heal me. That was my only good experience with it. Otherwise I get screwed by people healing themselves, even if it's just 1%.
Inner Strength outshines it by a lot. Also it combos amazingly with some already existing perks. Nothings more satisfying than jumping into a locker with Q&Q, heal with Inner Strength and then Head On the killer mid chase. I've had way more success with that.
-
Kinda funny, haven't seen a mori in forever, bloodhunts starts and suddenly killers start using them. Think I had like 5 Ebony in a 3 hour session yesterday. It's not that bad, but just interesting if killers purposely use moris to screw survivors during these events.
Got bored of survivor then in I tried changing to killer but queue times are like 10 minutes, so I went to bed. Hopefully today will be better.
-
Had two bs gate spawns as killer yesterday. One was on Haddonfield and the gates spawned on the same wall and I just stood between them and kept changing which door to look at. Poor Feng didn't stand a chance, there was nothing she could do. I felt bad and let her go.
Then on Yamaoka a couple games later I close the hatch and the gates spawned on two different walls this time, but still close enough so I could stand in between them and check both of them without moving.
I know it isn't always like this, but it happens fairly often and I can't help but feel bad for survivors, but then again, I killed 3 of their teammates and they failed to do the gens AND find the hatch first, so I should be in advantage. Just not stand still and be able to keep track of two doors at the same time kind of advantage.

Well, it's normal you found full load-out killers, I mean he could be a purple rank killer after rank reset, and your rank is near his. What it's not right are those 2 rank 20, which is an issue they're currently looking into, so don't expect a fix tomorrow.
I know, I'm not mad I went against him. I have almost 2k hours, just felt bad for those three and that this is an issue I've seen since the chapter release. I'm pretty good at the game but I can't carry a game consisting of three brand new players.
-
I've never used a mori except for daily rituals, even then I only mori on last hook or if there's 1 gen left, just to make sure that I get it done.
Personally hate moris when I play survivor so when I play killer I never use it. Just been hoarding them in case of dailies.
-
"Oh, these survivors are a way higher rank than I, time to dodge"
"Oh, these survivors are way higher rank than I, time to change to Ebony Mori, Iri Head Huntress/Ebony Mori omega blink Nurse/Prayer Beads Spirit etc"
I think it'd be a bad idea. I get dodged enough for wearing prestige or colorful cosmetics
-
I did it with 3 friends once. We all ran the purple luck offering and Up the Ante. We all unhooked ourselves, when killer saw hooked the first person and we all flocked to the hooked, he realised what we were doing and played along. It was an awesome match full of memes. The rule was "If you don't unhook yourself, you don't deserve to survive"
I wouldn't see it as OP tho, wasting two perks to unhook yourself? Sure, it removes a bit of pressure that the killer has, but that means the survivors aren't running all meta perks
-
Would be great if they added it to Botany Knowledge since it already says it "Slows down bleeding". When I was knew I actually thought it did just that. Make the perk an exact counter to Sloppy Butcher as well since it makes you bleed more and makes you take more time to be healed. Botany would heal you faster and make you bleed less.
-
I don't know how much you've watched but Steve has a big character development throughout the 3 seasons, he quickly became a fan favorite and in season 2 get one of the best and interesting friendships in the show.
Jonathan, to me, felt like he was just kinda there. He doesn't get much on screen time on his own. He's almost always seen with either Nancy or Joyce.
Before the teaser got released I was hoping to get either Steve or Nancy, and I got both! I'm so hyped!
-
It's funny, the first thing I thought of when I saw Nancy was this
-
Wouldn't make much sense to make skins of survivors since they're all basically skins. They'd also need a shared name. So what would that be? "The Strongwilled" ?
With the bloodweb grind reduction incoming, I think they'd be able to release 6 new perks without too much of a grind.
-
That would be a bad idea. I know there are windows like Ironworks and Haddonfield buildings that deserve to get looked at. It wouldn't be a healthy change for the game as it encourages killers to just bamboozle any window rather than learn to read survivors and mindgame.
Though if you can't figure out how to mindgame other windows like L and T walls, then that's on you. I personally don't use Bamboozle cause I know how to mindgame survivors and I do just fine, even as a M1 killer. I do get tempted to put it on after a game on Ironworks and Wretched Shop, but never do.
If you're having issues with windows on jungle gyms, then my only advice is to learn how to chase around that time. Some people have posted tutorials on youtube about how to most effectively chase around jungle gyms.
